Turning into Chaos Incarnate, don't mind me
Xander woke with the sun and didn't move. His bed was warm, and the outside world was too cold in the mornings. Its was barely even 5 am for hells sake! He dozes until his Alarm goes, and then he has to get out of bed. Because he works at the Bakery, he has to get out of bed at the crack of dawn. Its better in the summer when its warmer and less likely to freeze his ass off. He's a Demon for Hells, sake he can't stand the cold! A 10 minute shower later, refusing to leave the warm bathroom until he was dry and in clothes, and he was already on his way out. He'll eat at Karma's, he always does. While the guy is probably up, it doesn't hurt to check in and annoy the guy, remind him to eat something and to visit the Bakery. He lets himself in with his key and walks in.

"G'Morning Karma!". He yells out not too loud but loud enough for the other to hear him is he was sleeping, walking in far enough to see the Medical student cooking. Ah, he's so pretty, he's make a great housewife. Husband? House Spouce? Fuck it, that works. "Good to see you're up. Don't forget to eat something during the day, studying is not eating. And come by the Bakery today! I hear they're making some spicy bread rolls~" He entices. The other likes Spicy foods, which is why he's trying to tempt the other into coming by. People watching was great and all, but it can get tedious. He grabs the already made coffee and downs half of it at once. Sweet and piping hot.

"You're a saint, Karma, you really are." He smiles, downing the rest of the coffee. He takes the oatmeal breakfast the other makes sure he eats, and eats some of it begruddignly. Sugar was added to his, but it doesn't stop him from pouting over it. "Mmm, no longer a saint. Why do you only ever have Oatmeal?" He asks, before dumping the rest into his bowl after he saw the time.

"Shoot, gotta blast! I promised to help out cleaning the shop before it opens, working all day today because one of the workers are sick. Thanks for the coffee and the oatmeal, Hope to see you at the Bakery~!" he says, giving the other a Hug and a quick childish kiss on the head before running out. It sucks they can't spend more time in the mornings, but he refuses to get out of bed until 6 am!

He runs to the Bakery, and gets there on time. He helps out, cleans up, and helps put any freshly made bread on the shelves. they give him what wasn't sold the night before and he shoves them into his bag, and eats them as he works. The Bakery refuses to sell stuff they made the day before, even though its edible and will last a few days, they pride themselves on freshly baked goods. Which is why he, a glutton with a sweettooth gets thrown all of the sugary confectionarys they make. they start making the Spicy bread rolls and he pipes up.

"How spicy they going to be today?" He asks, and the baker, the owner of the establishment grins.

"Only those who can stomach the spiciest of spices!" Xander laughs, knowing he's going to at least take some home for Karma is the white-haired Studen doesn't come in.

"I only hope they don't sell out before the day comes." He chuckles, flipping the sign to 'Open' and readis for the day.

Unlike his counterpart, Karamatt had always been an early riser. Since the age of twelve, he always had a set schedule that he must follow on a daily basis (including the weekends). There was nothing more appealing and satisfying to the young angel than mentally checking off boxes on his to-do list. Like every morning, Karma immediately got up at the sound of his alarm at four in the morning. Placing his bare pale feet onto the tile floor, he stood up to stretch his arms. He was especially exhausted this morning, more so than usual. It was a direct effect from his tireless studying the night before. He was expecting a lengthy pre-medical exam for the end of the first trimester. Although Karma had been studying for this exam for a few weeks now, it did not make him any less nervous. Which resulted in his late night studying and stressing.

Dragging his feet towards his small walk-in closet, Karma's eyes scanned for a comfortable light t-shirt to wear for the morning. With all of his built-up nerves, the male needed his daily morning runs more than ever. He grabbed a grey t-shirt from his last P.E. class of his school years before pulling on black sport shorts, and headed down the stairs to his front door. Then slipped on a pair of grey running shoes before heading out on a 5k run around the neighborhood.

Karma came back into his home at approximately thirty minutes later, and slipped off his sneakers. Just before he could go upstairs to get ready for the day, he moved towards his kitchen and grabbed a water bottle from the refrigerator. After drinking about half of the liquid, he walked over to his windowsill. There sat three small plants; an aloe plant and two cacti. For the cold person he was, he had found a strong liking towards plant life and could not resist in buying some of his own for his home. After giving each plant an equal amount of water, he smiled gently at them. Oh how he loved his plants.

Now that he had assured the plants' well-being, he headed up his stairs to get himself ready. He took a quick cold shower, dressed himself in a black sweater with a white collared shirt underneath and khaki pants, then went back down stairs to make him and his closest friend breakfast. Karma was never a social person, or cared for anyone outside of his family in general. However, he did have a liking towards his childhood and best friend, Xander, and made sure that he was well-taken care of. After all, who else would do so? Just as Xander walked in, Karma was just placing his friend's bowl of oatmeal onto the small, round dinner table besides a mug filled with coffee. Although he was never fond of sweet foods or drinks, he knew his friend was, and made his coffee with cream and four spoonfuls of sugar. "Morning," he responded as he pushed up his thin, round glasses further up the bridge of his nose. He was a lot less enthusiastic than his friend, even though he loved early mornings. He was not an overall optimistic or happy person, and did not see the point of getting so excited over simply waking up as if it was an achievement. "And I'm fine," he insisted with an eye roll. He knew good and well that food was not necessary for his survival, but he could never tell the other what he really was. After all, who would believe that their best friend is an angel?

He heard Xander's complaint about his oatmeal and rolled his eyes. Karma enjoyed oatmeal, however he did admit that he made it quite often. But he could not admit that his friend had a point, for he liked being the person in the right. "Oatmeal doesn't clog your arteries with sugar like the other crap you like eating," he says as he began eating his own serving across from Xander. However, it was very short-lived, for soon enough came the time for both of them to depart. "I'll make sure to swing by, but if you don't save me a bread roll I'll kill you," he says as he allowed the other to hug him. Though as soon as he felt the kiss, he could not help but to tease the other with a light punch on the other's arm. Karma was not one for touching, so he was already pushing it with a hug. But Xander was Xander. To tell him to not show affection was like telling a dark cloud not to rain. It was already bound to happen.

Once his friend left, he cleaned up after the two before leaving his own home. Walking over to his silver car with his coffee in hand, Karma drove over towards the university at which his classes were held. It was a good thirty minuted from his small house, for the university had been located in the more urban part of their town. He had arrived to his exam thirty minutes before the starting time, which gave him a decent amount of time to look over any bits of information that he had the most difficult time remembering. Which, lucky for him, was not a lot. Karma had been gifted with a very good memory, and thus made things such as exams rather easy for him to pass. But, he did not want to rely on his brilliant memory on his career, and studied anyways.

The exam had last a grueling three hours. Although it seemed like a rather long time for an exam, for Karma it was the quickest three hours of his life. He had been so concentrated in his work that when the exam was over, he felt that only thirty minutes had passed. "Pencils down! The exam is now over, please pass up your answer sheets and exam packets," his professor called to the class, making every student in the lecture hall room to give a long sigh. Karma could not help but to smile. He was confident that he had at least passed the test, though prayed that he would have one of the best scores in the course. He wanted to impress the hospital he was currently working at to take him, in the future, as a resident once he graduated. Once his exam was turned in, Karma went back into his car to drive over towards Xander's bakery. Parking in front of the small, brick building, Karma walked inside. He heard the soft ringing of the bell that lured over the bakery's front doors, which immediately gave away his presence. "Hey, came with a 'pick-me-up'," Karma says as he held up a clear cup with an iced, sweet matcha tea. "How's bushiness? Are you scaring away anymore customers?" he teased as he placed the other's drink on the glass counter holding a few of the shop's baked goods.

Even though it was only 1pm by the time Karma came in, he already felt exhausted. He loved this job, but dam everything to hell could it get on his nerves. He was normally allowed to help with making the bread, specifically the Kneading of the dough because he was good at that part. But when you end up almost constantly busy due to horrendous customers you want to throw a chair at, there was no way for him to relax. Because he was filling in for a full-time worked, said worker was normally the Cashire, he wasn't allowed to stray from the counter as often as he liked. He swore it shouldn't be often that he got stuck-up people who decided they were going to treat everyone like trash, but today they came by often enough to just wear down his patience. When Karma walked in, he felt himself relax as soon as he saw the lighter-coloured haired male. The offering in the form of an iced sweet matcha tea made him laugh in apreciation.

"You, are honestly a saint. A literal Life-saver, Karma." He praised as he took the Tea. He loved tea, and while Iced tea wasn't his go-to, it was better than anything that wasn't cafinated. at the teasing, he pouted and huffed dramatically. "Hey, I'll have you know I am a sweet treat to be around. If you're going to be like that, perhaps I wont give you the whole batch of Spicy bread rolls I bought and saved for you." He wagged a finger at his friend, but only grinned and gave the other the Spicy rolls. He saved a batch, a whole dozen, split into two boxes of 6 for easy access. He got a workers discount off of it so it was 4 for the price of 1, and 1 was only £2. so £6 for 12 freshly made bread rolls. It was a good deal and he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

"But seriously though, Karma. Its only 1pm and I'm already knackered from people. I love people but why did all the stuck-up ones decide to come in today? they don't normally come in, and they don't even like the Spicy rolls. I have only seen one of my favourites today and thats you." He complained, before taking a sip of the drink. Oh that was heaven. he motioned to the two boxes of rolls. "Already paid for. How'd your Exam go? Knowing you, you probably aced it. Fucking Brainiack." He teased with a grin as he relaxed on the counter. For some reason, no one else was there. Well, no customers in the shop, and all the workers were in the back. a voice in the back of his mine said 'oppotunity' and it was right. this was the perfect oppotunity...

...to give his best friend a hug! He put his tea down on the counter behind him and looked around quickly, before darting around the side leaving his post. He quickly hugged his friend, being a bit smaller since he practically lunged at him and his leg is streched out a bit. They were the same height but this was nice. He pulled away after a few moments of just soaking in the physical affection, knowing how adverse his friend was to any sort of touch so he kept it brief. He heard the familiar voice of the owner call out.

"Xander, you're still on duty. Stop flirting with the Customers." the Gruff voice said and he groaned, before walking back behind the counters.

"I'm not Flirting, I'm hugging my best friend, there is a difference, and I needed the emotional support!" he whined, but his face was all smiled. "Honestly, I could look at someone, and the old man would think I'm flirting. I'm gay, sure, but I'm not going to flirt and bed every man I meet. I'm a snack with standards~" He winked before laughing at his own shitty joke. "So, you doing anything for the rest for the day? I recently got a new game I wanna try out, and if your free... You could come over and watch me play while you be moral support as you do your studying? I think I still have one of your Books you left behind last time, so you can take that back." He grinned. He had a few two-player games he would force the other to play with him, but he found it was a much more fun experience if it was just him playing a game and Karma was back-seat driving while barely paying attention.

A customer came in before Karma could ask and put on the customer service smooth talking mask. It just happened to be another woman who thought she was bigger than life itself. She wanted the original-recipie bread loaf, some ginger cookies, and half a dozen of the bagels. All gluten free.

"I'm sorry ma'am, the Original recipie Loaf has gluten in it, so does the Ginger cookies and the Bagels. however, we do have gluten free alternatives." He appologised and she huffed complaining before buying the suggested alternatives. She gave Karma a weird look before leaving and he groaned as soon as the door shut. "Oh my god, what is it with 'oh I want all the stuff that has gluten in it, but I want it gluten free' today? Gluten free is fine, but like, fucking read?" He pointed to the sign that said 'everything original-made and most sweets have gluten in it, please ask fo rthe alternatives.' and sighed. "Honestly, Humans can be so annoying." He complained, accidentally using 'humans' instead of people. He froze slightly, but then played it off as a stretch and relaxed because who would really notice? Its weird phrasing but it didn't mean that he was a Demon automatically. besides, what normal human would think that their best friend was a literal demon?

Karma could not help but to chuckle at Xander's reply. Although he was right that he did have a sweet personality, that did not make him any less high maintenance. Ever since they were children, the angel had always felt responsible over his friend's actions and health. He was in no way naive or an air head, but he did have a habit of getting ahead of himself. Karma could tell that Xander's brain worked rapidly, which could easily get the other in trouble if he was not careful. That was why Karma was there. He balanced the other, and had no problem being the voice of reason when his friend was stuck. At the same time, Xander helped him with any emotional distress. Karma had never been good with handling his feelings healthily, and had a rather poor habit of pushing such sensations aside. With Xander there, he felt as if he was allowed to feel. The thought of being vulnerable naturally terrified him, of course, for his greatest fear was to be taken advantaged of when holding such a strong relationship with another being. Yet, being with Xander made the idea of settling down with someone a less horrific thought. It made him more...comfortable.

"Be like that. No rolls means no pancakes tomorrow morning," Karma pressed as he crossed his arms. It had been a while since the last time he decided to make something that was not oatmeal for breakfast. But after hearing his friend's complaint of the repetitiveness of their bland morning meals, he had changed his mind and wanted to give the other a treat for the next day. Seeing Xander hand him a roll, he grinned back as he grabbed the bread and took a big bite. The piquancy was subtle at first. He could not understand how these rolls were any different from the normal ones Xander would give him on his daily visits. But once he swallowed it, he felt the spice trail down his throat after the compacted roll and left a heat sensation tingling his entire tongue. Karma gave out a cough in surprise as his throat attempted to get used to the new, fiery feeling. "Damn, these are nice," he complimented as he leaned against the counter. Now shoveling his face with spice rolls as he listened to the other ramble about his day.

"I give you a lot of props, Xander," Karma admitted as he grabbed another roll. His fingers squishing the bread lightly as his pale green eyes stared at the glistening butter smeared on the top of roll. "If I were you, I would've been fired months ago for chucking a few of these rolls at a customer the moment they annoyed me." He was not exaggerating in the slightest. Patience was a skill Karma did not have. So seeing Xander so calm in the face of an angry customer was mind-boggling to him.

Hearing about the exam made Karma's stomach drop from anxiety. He knew he did not fail, but that did not keep the voice in the back of his mind from telling him otherwise. "I finished it ten minutes before the time ended, so I'm moderately confident that I passed with at least an 80%," he replied, easily pushing back his inner worries to seem like the normal, cocky boy that Xander knew. Just before he could continue on his spiel about the many triggers he had about his professor's formatting of the questions, he was interrupted by Xander's sudden hug-attack. "Ah! Xander!" Karma complained as his glasses slipped to the edge of his nose. "You're only allowed one hug per week! You're breaking our contract!"

Once Xander pulled away, Karma gave out a sigh of relief as he fixed his now wrinkly clothing. He pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose as he snickered at the other getting yelled at by his boss. "Well, maybe it's the way you look at them," he suggested as he grabbed yet another spice roll. "But yes, I am available. I have off for today, and I don't have any classes for the next two week. So I suppose I'll hang out with you." He was going to say more, but he heard the soft ring of the bell above the front door. He knew what that meant. Another customer was coming inside.

Karma's face dropped into his natural, deadpan look as he moved himself to the side. Allowing the rather annoying female to talk to Xander without difficulty. However, he immediately regretted his decision the second the words "gluten free" came from her mouth. From what he could tell, she was not searching for alternatives because her body itself could not process gluten products, but simply to follow the trend of being overly-healthy. She seemed to be the type of person to rub in other people's faces that she has a much more healthier lifestyle than them, and insisted that everyone should follow her footsteps in order to maintain a happy life. It disgusted Karma, and he had no problem to show that by glaring at her until she made her leave. Karma thought nothing of Xander's language, for he could not agree more. Humans were, at most times, pathetic creatures. It made him wonder why his Lord and Father would ever want to protect such lowly creatures. "I know," he responded as he rolled his eyes and took another bite of his roll. Swallowing what he had in his mouth, the angel turned back towards Xander and sighed. "When are you finished with your shift?"

Xander gasped at the threat of no pancakes. "No pancakes? After years of oatmeal? Heathen you are! Take your rolls and I expect pancakes tomorrow!" He smiled in amusement, grinning at his friends reaction. He liked spice, but even he had trouble eating the rolls, so Karma was in his books weird but interesting how he could just... Eat them without any problems, maybe a slight cough. He then grinned at the rare praise, fully able to imagine his friend throwing bread at people because they were too stupid. Being patient with normal people was easy, when his best friend was a stubborn mule on a good day. Although thinking on it, It was weird to see Karma and think 'Med student' considering how much he hated people in general, and yet here he was. A Med student. How he had 0 patience for others and their bullshit, but would willingly learn how to help and save them was beyond him. More than once he wondered if his friend was a masochist, a narcissist, or activly trying to kill people and get away with it, and for the life of him, he could never tell which.

The comment of 'at least 80%' made Xander rolled his eyes. "Oh please, we both know you're going to get at the bare minimum 90%. You couldn't do worse, even if you tried." He teased. He laughed at the complaint of 'one hug a week'. "I also get hugs when I'm stressed, and today was stressy!" He pouted but the pout never lasted long. He looked at his friend confused at the remark of 'Well, maybe it's the way you look at them' but ignored it in favour of latching onto the agreement on hanging out. He grinned at the agreement of his friend, fist bumping. once the woman was dealt with, Xander looked at Karma and hummed thinking on the question.

"Today should be my last full day, and I got tomorrow off and then its half-days for the rest of the week like normal. I'm thinking of finding another part time job once you start going back to college, but I can work on that whenever. I'm thinking strip-club." He suggests, with a casual shrug. "But uh, 4pm is normal closing time, Right Old Man?!" He yelled to the back of the shop. The holler of '4PM on the Dot' rang out and he nodded. "Yeah 4pm, so I should be home around 4:30. I'll bring back whatever's left for us to snack on later on. My parents wont be back for another month of so, so... we could have.. fun.. if you know what I mean~?" He suggested with a wink. If he had his tail out, he was aware that it would be wagging and he was thankful that humans didn't have tails.

He let a moment go by before putting both hands onto the counter and lifting himself to get closer to his friend. "Constant sleepover!! Think about it! Pillow forts, playing games, pillow fights. we might be able to get you used to physical touch!" He grinned, apsolutely expecting his idea to get shot down. One o fthe other workers in the Bakery, came walking out with fresh dough-balls. Some people just have a hankering for dough-balls and they were a quick seller because they were easy and quick to eat.

"Mind putting these out for me, Xanny? I apreciate it~" She sung, a gentle hand on his shoulder and he could feel the girls nails, even though they wern't long, they were long enough to feel and to feel slightly uncomfortable before she pulled away and speed-walking back out into the back, no doubt trying to keep up with the demands for the bread. He chuckled, offering a quick 'got it' and getting to work. "So, other than your Exam, anything else interesting happen today? Did you perhaps - Gasp! Make a friend?" He teased, saying 'Gasp' instead of actually inhaling, because the last time he inhaled dramatically he inhaled a fly. He grinned knowing his friend liked to be boring and he could probably predict the whole day. Went to the college that took 3 hours to get there, got there early, studied like a good boy, did exam, left straight away. Because as much as he adored Karma, the other was also boring and straight forward.

He hummed and then thought. "Shit, do I have enough mice for Stripes?" He thought, worried slightly, before making a mental note to go to the pet store. "I should probably make a quick run to the pet store to get some, just in case. He's due for feeding soon." He muttered to himself, before stretching. Just under three hours at this point, then just a few errands and then chill. "So, what are you going to for the few hours I'll be working? Study or talk to your plants?" he asked grinning.

Karma was in the midst of swallow his next chunk of bread when he heard Xander's suggestion of becoming a stripper. He was so taken back by it that he had forgotten that he was eating, and choked a bit on the roll. He pounded the center of his breastbone with the side of his fist as an attempt to forced the food down his esophagus. "What?" he breathed out as he coughed a bit more. Once the bread was finally out of his airway, he the placed his unfinished roll onto the counter and held the bridge of his nose in disappoint. The worst part about it was that Karma could not tell whether Xander was joking or not. While his logic told him that Xander would never partake in such a occupation, part of him still felt uneasy with the possibility that he was serious. Just the idea his friend being involved with a job so entangled in lust made him sick to his stomach. "Absolutely not. I'll find you a job, or even better, lock you in your house and send you my paycheck. But dancing in front of a bunch of thirsty strangers is out of the question."

Now that he had went complete protective mode on him, Karma calmed himself back down as he began finishing up his spice rolls. He was now on his last one, so he decided to eat this final bun as slowly as possible. Which was rather difficult, considering how tempting it was to shove the entire roll into his mouth. But he tried to contain his urges by listening to the other speak. For someone who was often loud and energetic, Karma had could always relax just by listening to his voice alone. He never considered the possibility that he had just liked everything about the other, for that would mean that he had grown feelings towards him. And that alone, was enough to terrify him away from such a thought process. "Good, that gives me enough time to work out and get showered again," he says calmly in response to the other's comment about when he would get off from work. That was until he heard the last bit of his sentence, and squinted his eyes in distrust. "Why'd you say it like that? You're making me regret visiting you."

After hearing Xander's suggestion of a sleepover, he rolled his eyes and shook his head. It felt like ages since the two had their last sleepover, so he had assumed that his friend had grown out of that stage. But he had assumed wrong, which he realized he should not have done in the first place. This was Xander he was talking about. Why would he not ask for a sleepover? "No. The last time we had one, you forcefully fed me jellybeans and licorice. Plus I woke up to you laying on top of my chest, and kept me up till two in the morning," he says rather harshly as he folded his arms. "Unless there's something in it for me, I won't change my mind."

Karma heard the soft bell ring again, and turned his body around to see who it was. At first, he thought nothing of the human girl. That is until he heard her flirtatious tone, and felt a small fire burn inside of him. Did Xander know her? Were they friends? Why does she have the authority to call him such a strange nickname without getting a glare from Xander? Whatever the reason, Karma gladly glared for him until she had made her leave. In which he scoffed and shook his head. "Xanny? Did she just call you a depression drug?" he asked before snapping himself out of his emotions. What was he doing, getting jealous over someone who was probably not on speaking turns with Xander. "No, not really," he says as he responded to the other's last question. "Why would I need friends? Isn't one enough?"

Cosmic_Chaos Cosmic_Chaos

"Please, the rolls are not meant to be inhaled." He chuckled at the reaction of his friend. At the protest and claim to 'lock him in his house' made him squint at his friend in that 'I'm both confused and concerned'. Excuse him, but what the fuck? "Dude, no need to go over-protective of me. I'm 20, I'm a big boy and I like attention, not sure how you haven't noticed this yet. Not like anyone can do anything, most places have a strict policy of 'don't touch the eyecandy'. I don't see why its so bad. Besides, I already know the basics of pole-dancing, even if it is just to not fall flat on my face. I take classes!" He grins a bit. "But seriously, It can't be that bad." He rolled his eyes at his friends protectiveness.

"Awh come on!! You nebver had Jellybeans or licorice and I thought you'd like them! You refuse to eat anything with a sugar count above 1%, I had to get it in your mouth somehow. And you could have just moved me off! we've had this talk, I'm a deep sleeper and moving me will not wake me up. The Two in the morning is all on you buddy." He defended himself from his friends unjustly accusations. "You don't really get anything out of sleep overs other than the fact that you don't have to move to go back home, so if you're so against it, you don't have to sleep over, its just been a while and we've have the house to ourselves." He said, feeling a bit bumed out that he couldn't really convice his friend over. "If anything, you're spending the night with me, shouldn't that be enough motivation for you?" He asked, half joking, half sort of self-loathing that he tried to bury by being more energetic.

At the word 'Depression drug' and 'Xanny' coming out his friends mouth he broke down in giggles. He couldn't help but find it all hilarious. "No, no, thats that Lilly-ann. She's the kind of girl to try and 'cutsy' your name, sweet girl really, a bit ditzy but damn she makes damn good muffins. And if you needed your nails done, she's the one to go to. You'd be 'Karmy' if you tried to get to know her, which knowing you, you wouldn't." He sniggered, but noticed how Karma's whole Body language changed, albeit slightly, but it was a noticible difference from the relaxed and protective feel he had before. He didn't comment on it.

At the question he laughed. "Actually! Studies show that not having friends may be as deadly as smoking. some sciency-link between social isolation and levels of a blood-clotting protein, or something like that. You might have One friend, but you need to expand your views. you never know, you might find someone just like me, and just as charasmatic for you to get along with. besides, its a nice feelng to look at people and think 'I can trust them' even if you wouldn't trust them with your life." He talked and shugged a bit. He made friends without trying, an dhe tursted them to a point. Trust was weird, and he didn't trust humans with anything important, but everything that wasn't important was fair game.

"Back to a previous talk from before, how in hell could you lock me in my house? I couldn't lock myself out if I tried. theres always a way in, and thus, theres always a way out. Bathroom window is always open and can't be locked. Trust me, locking me in is just not going to work. My parents baby proofed my room and I still got out." He chuckled, the thought of being locked away. "besides, if you locked me away, you'd have to stay with me a lot more often, because I need a lot of sociel interraction which would mean you can't leave me." He grinned, almost deviously. "So, if you want to lock me away, good luck~" He laughed.

"Just because there's a policy, does not mean everyone will follow it," Karma grumbled as a response to Xander's comment of a stripper club's safety measurements. He was surprised to hear his friend was actually considering it, but he was not going to force him otherwise. The most he could do was try to keep him safe, and away from as much sin as he possibly could. 'It should not be the difficult,' Karma reminded himself as he finished up his last bread roll. 'After all, it's Xander we are talking about! He could not be that impure, right?' "Why don't you come work with me instead?" Karma suggested with a shrug, for it was worth a shot to offer his friend a more socially acceptable job. "I know you don't like hospitals, but there's another physician's assistant position available if you're interested. I'm not sure how much money strippers make, but the hospital pays pretty good. Enough for me to buy the two of us breakfast and dinner everyday."

Karma leaned his back against the counter, his body facing the front of the shop. A strand on platinum hair fell in the center of the male's face, making him sigh. His hair was growing rather long, and it was becoming more difficult to maintain it as the days progressed. He was supposed to cut his hair over two years ago, but he had always pushed the idea back. He was so caught up in his studies that the state of his hair was the last thing he needed to worry about. But now that he finally had a break, he realized that it might be a good idea to get it trimmed sometime during the week. "If you wouldn't cutting my hair for me, I'll consider it," he says after listening to Xander defending his honor from the previous sleepover. "But we'll eat dinner at my house before jumping to your's. I already have tonight's meal prepped."

Although he did trust Xander's judgement, his mind still told him that the girl was bad news. Karma was usually not one to get jealous, but something about her made him tick. 'Perhaps she is a demon or a sinner, and I can just sense her lust,' he thought to himself. He was not an emotional person, so it must be that there was something wrong with her, and not him. Besides, when has he ever been wrong? "I think I'll pass," he grumbled at the other's mention of attempting to being social with her. "And I'm sure I will be fine. If God wants to give me blood clots, I would allow him."

"But as far as locking you in your house," Karma paused for a moment to turn his head towards Xander. His head tilted back just slightly so he could get a better viewing of the demon. "I think I can figure out a few ways to keep you inside," he says with a sly grin, as if he had actually planned on doing so.

Cosmic_Chaos Cosmic_Chaos (eek its short, I'm sorryyy)

At the mention of hospitals Xander groaned and leaned back. "No way dude. I'd rather almost die again than go to a hospital willingly. It's boring, everyone is either unhappy or sick, and last time I was in the hospital, I was treated like a child!" He complained, ignoring the fact that he was, in fact, a child back then. Or physically. He remembered having to relearn how to walk, and everyone being condescending, and he vowed never again unless a dire reason. Aka himself, family or Karma. "I don't care, it would be boring and you know I can't sit still for more than a hour. We've tried it. In a strip club, I would be moving, having fun, and having People admire me openly wouldn't be so bad." He grinned.

Xander lit up at the suggestion of cutting Karma's hair. The other was never interested in getting it cut even though it would only take an hour at most. "You know you could just grow it out and tie it back right? Long hair is hot. But, I'm sure I can trim it to stay out of your face, since that's probably the reason why you want it cut right? In the way of your studies?" He asked but the question was rhetorical, and they both knew it. "As long as it's better than oatmeal, I won't complain. Your a good cook, but just oatmeal can't possibly be good for you. What's on the menu?" He asked, stifling a gown as another customer walked in. It was a handsome looking older man, who just smiled and asked for some doughnuts, paid and left. He sighed in relief at the simple exchange going back to talking to Karma.

The mention of God made him want to groan slightly. "While that's a mood, he also won't strike you down for making a friend or two. What if you need to work with someone? Your social skills won't get better talking to me and only me." He sighed "Don't get me wrong, I like that most of your attention not on work or college is on me, but seriously. I might just drag out out to a bar and shove you into a group of people and force you to talk to someone at this rate." He shook his head, perking up to deal with another customer. Again it was simple, since this time she actually read and asked what gluten-free they had to offer.

"Sorry for the fuss, I'm allergic to most yeast." She offered an explanation and he shook his head. "No need to explain, love, I don't like the vegan cookies. Not cause they're vegan, but because they have nuts. And I don't like the texture of em." He shrugged and she giggled, before paying and leaving.

At Karma's threat, he raised an eyebrow in almost challenge. "Is that so? What you going to do, tie me up? Karma, I never knew you'd be into that~" He teased before humming. "You seem like you'd be ace though, so having kinks would actually be a surprise coming from you." He says honestly, before looking Karma up and down before squinting in suspicion. "Or maybe your a sexual deviant? A Demon in bed? Hiding behind that cool exterior!" He said, as though uncovering the darkest secret that his friend hid. And to be honest, Karma likes to defy a lot of his expectations, so to have something out of character would not be far of a stretch.

Karma rolled his eyes at his friend's persistence in becoming involved with working at a strip club. He could continue to argue against Xander's idea, he figured that he was not going to crack any time soon. So he let out a heavy sigh, and shrugged as if he did not care. "If that's what you want. Just make sure you drive there and back. Don't walk," he warned as he pushed the single strand of silver hair back behind his ear. It was still very clear that Karma wanted to make sure Xander would be safe, so he could not help but to be overprotective. "You'll probably get done at late hours, and you know how strange people get if they see you walking alone.

The angel chuckled lightly at his suggestion of growing Karma's hair out. Though part of him found the idea to be intriguing, he knew that his parents would not approve of their song having long hair. They might see it as ruining his masculinity, which was something Karma had never been concerned about. But, he wanted to avoid as much conflict with his family as possible, and often went with their pressuring suggestions. "I know, but my parents would kill me. You saw how my dad reacted when we came home with our nails painted when we were thirteen," Karma reminded. The faint sound of his father scolding him of wearing something so feminine before sending Xander out still ringing in his mind. "They'd only cause a fuss. What I have now is already pushing it. I should probably quit while I'm ahead." Karma tried to shake away the rather emotional thoughts as he focused his mind on dinner. It was often difficult to think about things he could not control, so things he can control was much easier. "It's homemade pizzas. The dough is set on the kitchen counter to rise and such. So when I get back home, I'll start making the sauce and actually start cooking them. I'll pick up some ice cream on the way home as well, so what flavor do you want?"

Karma did not pay much attention to the older customer. He had to admit, he was annoyed with consistently getting interrupted. What else was he to expect? He had walked in a bakery while his friend was working. Of course there would be customers walking in and out between their conversations. However, that did not make Karma any less irritated. "If it makes you feel any better, I do talk to a few people at work who aren't all that terrible," he grumbled. He was not completely lying to the other. He did have some work friends he talked and shared a few laughs with. Though it was not the same type of work that Xander was familiar with. But, that would be another topic for another day. "I just don't talk to them too much outside of the job."

Stopping himself again as another customer came and gone, Karma was just about to tease the other a bit more. But as soon as Xander mentioned even the slightest hint of something sexual, he turned his head back around and shook his head. "Nope. You ruined it," he says quickly as he crossed his arms again. Once again, playing hard to get. "Now I'm starting to reconsider my previous offer of ice cream. Maybe I'll just switch over to oatmeal again."

Xander grinned when Karma finally gave in and accepted, but with conditions. Xander rolled his eyes, knowing that even forced to wear a human suit, he was still a Demon. He was stronger than your average human, it would be easy to just put a literal mask on and kill anyone who'd try to hurt him. And it didn't stop with just strength. He wasn't sure what kind of demon he was, considering he sort of lost his memories, and any he did have were fuzzy at best. He blame it on taking over a human child and aging slowly enough for him to not remember anything important. But it's not like he could just leave, the body would just cease to function.

"Oh for Pete's sake Karma, I'm not weak. I can protect myself. And I'll take the bus, I don't have a car dumb-dumb." He rolled his eyes in amusement and sighed. "And I work closer to evenings, I take late shifts here most times, the past few days were only because someone was sick. I can sleep in. And I can run on Les sleep, it won't kill me. And I'll take a break if it gets too much." He gave his friend a easy smile.

The reminder that Karma had awkward parents made him sigh in annoyance. He wasn't sure why they were obsessed with their son being 'girly'. "Right I forgot your parents are the kind of people who'd faint at the idea of breaking gender norms and would have an aneurysm if a guy wore a skirt, like girls can't wear trousers-oh wait, they can." He grumbled but gave in. "Fine, your look better with longer hair, but we can wait until you leave your parents house, then they can get mad but you won't have to live with them." He begrudgingly accepted, mentally making a mental note to torment his friends parents for crimes against expression.

At the mention of home-made pizza he lit up. It was better than oatmeal! "For real? Holy shit man, your the best! Your a great cook so I can only imagine what your pizza will taste like!" He babbled excitedly. "Ice-cream? Hmmm, strawberry or chocolate, one of the two. I'm not fussed with ice-cream" he shrugged. He then chuckled at the though of Karma talking to people.

"Not sure why, but it's really hard to imagine you social, Karma. But as long as you have some social ability, I'll count it as win." He smiled, but the smiled dropped when Karma said 'no' to the homemade pizza. "Wha-Karma, dude, I'm Joking! I'm Teasing! You make it too easy to tease! How else would you keep me locked away if not tying me up?" He asked, both curious but now sad that Karma was going to take away the homemade pizza because he left himself wide open for teasing. It's his own fault! "Well fine then. If you won't feed me your home-made pizza free just offering it then I.. I won't cut your hair for free and I... I won't get those spicy rolls you like anymore. You'd have to buy them all by yourself when I can just easily get you them" he threatened. Take away the possible homemade pizza? No more spicy rolls for him! Two could play the food game!

Lilly-ann then came back in with more bread. "Hey Xanny! What we low on? Oh if your friend still here? Hi!" She waved at Karma with a smile, before latching onto Xanders arm. "You know he's still working right~? You should come back later!" She said, her voice filled with something akin to a challenge, but Xander paid no mind to it. "Lilly, it's fine. Today was stressful, we are always like this. And customers come in and he hasn't distracted me. We are running out of the gluten-free bread though." He said, noticing that there were only two more loafs left. She huffed a sigh but nodded, letting go of his arm and waving a 'bubye' before disappearing and he chuckled with a shake of his head. He knew they were just bantering anyway.

Of course, Karma was unaware of what his friend really was. In fact, he had assumed him to be just a normal human, and naturally thought of Xander as weak and incapable of caring for himself. It was a fact that humans were in need of a greater being's help in order to live a successful life, and he believed that God had sent him to Xander as a guardian to help him to Heaven. He had to admit, he had always felt a general negative energy emitting out of Xander's being, but it was not anything that Karma had concerned himself about. It had only gave him more of a reason to help Xander.

"If you say so. Just watch yourself. If you ever need anything or if something feels off, don't hesitate to give me a ring," Karma offers with as he turned his body completely towards Xander. It was very obvious that despite his heartless attitude, he still worried about the other. After all, he was the only true friend he had. It would not be far to either of them if something were to cut in between that. "And if you need a ride, let me know. I'll stop whatever I'm doing to pick you up," he says as he smiled back at the other. Although it was small, his smile alone made him seem like a normal and kind person. It melted away the bitterness left within him, even if that bitterness did not always show. It was a rarity, but it was nice nonetheless.

However, the subject of his parents made his smile disappear again, and back to the monotone, numb expression his face normally wore. Although they were the people that raised him, he could not help but to have a bit of resentment towards them. They were not his flesh and blood, yet they had the audacity to control how he looked, and what path his career should take. 'If only they knew what I really was,' he had thought to himself on days he was scolded for making a decision on his own, without his parents' input. 'Then maybe they would let me be.'
"Well, I am looking for a new place," Karma says as he leaned his elbow onto the counter. His glasses sliding slow down the bridge of his nose as he placed his chin into the palm of his hands. "I've been trying to find a place with a roommate, just so I can save up a bit of money. If only I knew someone how lived alone and just happened to live nearby..."

Karma pretended to rub the skin just above his lips to hide his smile after hearing how excited Xander was over the dinner announcement. He figured that his friend would like the dinner change, though he was surprised about his lack of enthusiasm over the ice cream. He knew Xander loved sweets, so he had assumed that he would give a bigger reaction than he did. But when Karma was threatened with the loss of the spicy rolls, his eyes stared intensely at him as he stood himself up straight again. "Fine," he says as he pushed up his circle glasses, very similar to that of an evil anime character. "Then I guess I'll be eating the pizza by myself, and won't be needing to mention that the ice cream would have also been homemade and saved for tomorrow's desert," he says, knowing that homemade anything was always better than store-bought. Especially if it was ice cream.

Then came back the lustful girl whom Karma had already grown to hate. Once she had came back inside the bakery, he moved himself back so Lilly-ann could get through easily (though the urge to trip her was unbearable). He did not verbally respond to her greeting, but instead he gave her a small nod just to acknowledge her presence. Her suggestion for him to make his leave had only annoyed him more, but he kept his calm as he looked down at her. "It doesn't seem like you know that either. I'm sure that much physical contact is inappropriate for the workplace, friendly or not," he says coldly. "But, I do have to get ready, so I'll see you when you come over," Karma says to Xander. Not bothering to wave or say any formal goodbyes, Karma turned himself around and exited the bakery. Walking slowly to his car, where he pulled away from the building and back to his home.

Karma still offered to help, despite everything, and Xander smiled. His friend was too nice. Makes sense, he did have a repuation for being a weaker-that-average human, so Karma being worried make sense. "Thank you Karma. And I will. I doub't I'll need help, but If I do need it, you will be the first person I call." He agreed easily. Karma was always his emergancy contact now. His parents move and travel around too often for them to be reliable in case something happened. So he just gave Karma's contact, knowing that Karma wouldn't hesitate to come straight there. if he gave it to Karma's parents, they'd probably hesitate to help, and then talk his ear off. Xander almost stopped funtioning after that smile though. Holy shit, the Ice prince that was his best friend, just smiled at him. He stared for a moment, but shoook himself out of his stupor. Now now gay thoughts, you can wait until you're not on shift!

Karma leaning over and trying to subtly suggest something made him chuckle and he leaned over with a smile. "Well I don't live alone totally, but I live by myself often than not, and you know my parents are happy to have you over whenver." He pulled back a bit and fixed his hair slightly. "You know my Parents adore you, right? Always have. They're not around as often, since I'm 20 and a big-boy, but they loved to travel and I wont stop them. I'm thinking of buying the house from them in case something goes wrong, and have a guest room for them. Its a 3 bedroom house, so we can easily fit you in. Dad never uses the 3rd room for work anymore, and I've been wondering what we could change the room into. Some slight modifications, and it wont be too bad. You can even bring your precious plants over, and you can put them where ever you like. you can even buy more and hang them around, lorn knows they'll make th ehourse look better."He suggested, rambling on a bit.

The lack of homemade ice-cream sucked. He wasn't the biggest fan of Icecream, which was weird, but he wasn't a fan of cold foods. it was nice but he could only have so much cold food before feeling sick. Anything in the frige he could deal with, but anything from the freezer was always hard to eat if you couldn't heat it up. But it was Karma and his Home-made sweets which made Xander interested more than anything else, seeing how Karma only eats oatmeal even though he could very easily make whatever the hell he liked and it still come out good. Xander couldn't really do that. He wasn't Bad at cooking, but he wasn't Karma's level of good. He pouted and then crossed his arms. "Fine then. I'm not even the biggest fan of Ice-cream, I'd only eat it cause you made it." He huffed with a pout.

Xander was shocked at Karma beign quick to leave and suddently he was all by himself again. He was barely able to get out of the store to go after Karma because be was so shocked. He watched Karma leave before going back inside like a kicked-to-the-side puppy. He sat on the counter behind him and remembered the Matcha tea his friend brough him. it was still warm. He downed it and smiled, although it was a sad smile. What would make his friend leave so quickly? Okay, Lilly-ann was a bit annoying sometimes and was probably challenging Karma, but to think that she was someone who Karma couldn't stand to be near... He filed that information away into Xanders 'What Karma hales' file and sighed pathetically. Time to get through the rest of the day. He had shit he needed to do afterwards. He wondered if he should get a more active pet than a snake.

While there was downtime between customers, he was on his phone trying to look up clubs that have good reputation and allow male strippers. He did find one that was a short bus ride or an hour walk, so he could walk there and get the bus back, which was easy enough. it was in a more urbanised area, so that was good. It was LGBT+ friendly, the security was tight and reliable (So say), and it was a normal club that changed into a much more risque club past 12am. He was to never take off his boxers/briefs, whatever he's hiding under the boxers, but everything was fair game. It paid faily normally, just above the average pay, which worked for him. he might just check it out as a customer and see what it was like before working there, maybe talk to the workers a bit. but not tonight, he had plans if Karma was in a good mood.

The next few hours passed slowly, but at the same time, in a blink of an eye, and he decided he did not like working as a cashier. He loked doing stuff, and he couldn't do said stuff if he was stuck talking to people. but, he couldn't complain not when he got a full workers pay for it. He left and went stright to the shopping area. it wa sa quaint little area which had everything the Locals needed, a pet store, bakery, muliple markets, veg-shop, fish and chips shop, a flower shop, hair-dressers. honestly for the rural area they lived in, it was more than enough, even if he did live to the out-skirts of it. He bought more frozen dead mice for his snake, and looked at the pets before deciding against it. He'll just go to the rescue center if he wanted a dog or cat, depending on how much time he ended up having. He lightly jogged his way back home, not going to Karma's right away to put the mice in the Freezer, and realising he had the timing of the devil (ha!) that he was all out of mice. He put a poster sticker on door saying 'Freed stripes soon' and the date, before heading over to Karma's and let himself in. "Gooood, afternoon~ My Shift ended, I was out of mice for Stripes, so I went shopping for her." He said. "and now you better not have eaten that Pizza before I got here or so help me." He pouted again.

By the time Xander had arrived to his home, Karma had been in the kitchen finishing up the first pie to place inside the oven. He had worked out the second he had got to his house, and dressed himself into his pajamas once he had showered. When he had came downstairs to begin working on the pizzas, his entire family were all either in the kitchen or living room. Being that he was still fresh out of the bath, he had left his glasses in the restroom, and could not identify the other male figure looking through the refrigerator. Thinking that it was his father, Karma thought nothing of it and walked over. Once he was closer, he realized that he was dead wrong, and wished that he had stayed upstairs instead. It was his older brother, Eric, who had hated his guts since he was first adopted into the family. He was seven years older than him, and was Karma's complete opposite. Eric was loud, arrogant, and entitled. He was the only child before Karma had been brought home, and was spoiled rotten until that very point. He felt as if Karma had stole his parents' love from him, when in actuality he was still much more spoiled than him. So he had decided to make his new younger brother's life Hell, which was a large reason why Karma was as heartless and antisocial as he was.

Karma walked past him in silence. He was hoping that Eric would not notice him, but unfortunately for him, he did and grabbed the top of Karma's head. "I see you're still cooking in here life someone's bitch," he spat, making Karma cringe with how close the other's face was to his. "And I see you're still living here at age twenty-five, without a job," Karma replied, making this brother scoff and push his head away. Karma had a sharp mind, which gave him the upper hand in terms of verbal conflict. Physical confrontations however, were never his strong suit in his human form. Eric had always been bigger than him, in terms of both build and height. So it was easy for him to beat up his little brother when angered, and was never truly scolded for it by their parents. "At least I don't act gay, fuckin' freak." There he went again. Karma had never once brought up his sexuality to his parents or brother, for they had made it obvious to him that they did not support non-traditional ideologies. Yet ever since Karma had met Xander, Eric had always assumed that the two only hung out as often as they did was because there was romantic tension between him. So he bullied Karma because of it in an attempt to cover his own jealousy for not having such a strong relationship with another person.

"Now now, Eric. Be nice to your brother," their father chimed in as both of their parents walked in. The two instantly brought their heads down at their presence, and pretended as though there was no tension in between them. Walking into the kitchen with them was their younger sister, Isabelle, who was one of the few joys in Karma's life. Though he was not a people person, he had this small, innocent love for children. He was the perfect babysitter for young children, for at least they were not as annoying as entitled adults were. The small girl had lit up at the sight of her older brother, and smiled brightly at him. "Karma!" she said excitedly, making the angel smile back. "Hey Bella! Wanna come help me make some pizzas before Xander comes over?" he asked in a lightly and bubbly voice. One that did not match his usually un-moving, monotone one. She nodded quickly and ran over to him. "Ah-ah-ah, wash your hands first! You don't want to make anyone sick, do you?" he asked, making the girl giggle and shake her head.
"Nooo."
"Then go along. Come back when you're all washed up."

Bella nodded and ran towards the back of the house to the guest bathroom. That was when Xander walked in, just in time to be in the center of Karma and his family's madness. "No, but you can wash your hands and help. Unless you would like to skip watching a movie," he says in response to Xander's last question. Since Xander has been Karma's childhood friend, both of his parents had been very familiar with him. Like his friend's parents were towards him, Karma's mother and father had enjoyed the demon's company. Which was very ironic, considering that his family was a very Christian one. "Hello Alexander! It's good to see you again!" his mother said happily with a bright smile as she greeted the boy with a hug. "How is everything? Are your parents well? How's your mother?"

Karma had always been annoyed with how preppy his parents were, for he could never understand the appeal towards pretending to be in a constant "happy-go-lucky" attitude. But whatever the reason, his parents' optimism made Karma stick out like a sore thumb. Making the idea of moving out of his family's home even more appealing. "Mum, you are suffocating him," Karma grumbled, making his mother laugh lightly. "Ah, I'm so sorry! You just don't have that much company come over, I sometimes forget how to act!" she responded lightheartedly, as if she did not just call out her son for not having many friends.

Cosmic_Chaos Cosmic_Chaos (it's all good. i enjoyed it nonetheless)

Xander was a bit off put by the multiple of people that were up and about and already existing at Karma's house and almost wanted to just leave so he could get some quiet, but he was aware on how much his friend didn't like... most of his family, so he could put up with it for a while. The Angel never said anything bad about his little sister, so he assumed most, but who could blame him? Bella was adorable! He almost got out a 'got it~' in responce to Karma, before he was hugged by a familiar woman. A heavily Christian who seemed to apsolutely adore him, which was hilarious considering he was a literal demon and he didn't do anythign to influence her decision. It amused him greatly, which made it easier to smile at her and hug back, even though he felt a bit awkward. "Hi Ma'am! I'm good, My parents are good, they called last night. They're currently in Japan, and Mum's happy, she's having fun with all the styles she's coming across." He smiled easily. He chuckled at Karma telling his mum to 'put him down' and he laughed as he was released from the hug.

"Karma~ You know I don't mind hugs! But, I better get my hands washed so we don't miss out on movie time~!" He grinned at Karma's mother before speeding to the Bathroom, only to find Bella coming out of it. "Hi Bella! How's my best-friends favourite sister?" he asked with a smile before petting her on the head and heading into the bathroom only to just wash his hands. He was barely a minute, and he was back out pretty quickly. He then turned to Karma's mother and grinned. "I hope you don't mind that I'm stealing Karma away for the night. Sleepover~! Its been ages, and he promised that he'll hang out with me since we don't get to do that as often as before." He whined slightly gently nudging Karma. It was a subtle 'I got your back'. "Besides, He also said that he'll help me with getting another part-time job. Working at a Bakery is great and all, but the people that sometimes come in? Ugh! I'm a people person, this is obvious, but even I want to hit them with a shoe sometimes. I couldn't handle full time. And I'm not working at a Hospital full stop, so Karma said he'll help me look." He said, covering multiple reasons to get Karma to stay over.

Really he was planning on figuring out how to tell Karma's parents 'hey Karma is coming to live with me next door' without it sounding horrible. you need a fair amount of tact, so he wanted to talk to Karma about it tonight. Bringing it up with Karma was easy enough but around his parents, and his older brother? Ha, no chance. Speaking of his older brother... "And Hii Eric~ Don't thik I didn't see you there being all Mr.grumpy-grump!" He teased, having no fear for the older male. He had to deal with the guy in secondary, so he wasn't scared of him, even if he tried to be more imposing. You can't intimidate a Demon with just size, Eric. "How's life been treating you?" He asked sweetly, the un-spoken words being 'You still Alone and Sad?', almost taunting the other to say something. He then focused his attention of Karma, leanign on him to see what he's doing, making sure he was full view of Eric, who if he remembered correctly, had a habit of getting angry if he saw something is hated. And, if his limited knowldge on the older is correct and his body-language told him anything, it was that he was disliked by Eric.

Lets just say Xander was ready, and half expecting, Eric to blow up.

"Sooo~ What toppings? How can I help? What should I do?" He asked, almost getting into Karma's space but leaving quick enough to keep Karma from freaking out over lack of personal space. He knew how much to push and leave, and when to linger. He turned to Grin at Bella. "Sorry, what can we do? and how can we help?" He corrected, ruffling the girls hair again. He thought kids were cute, wouldn't want to have kids himself, but they were cute none the less. Some were less so and apsolute horrible terrors, like how he remembered Eric was, and in which case he wouldn't mind booting them accross the street, but most of them were... tolerable. He adjusted his glasses slightly, rarely needing to do so cause they fitted his face well, and then noticed. "Hey, you're not wearing your glasses. Want me to grab them for you?" He asked.

care_less care_less

"Ah Japan! That sounds lovely! Good for them!" his mother responded excitedly as she watched Xander walk off. "Well tell them 'hello' for me alright?" she called after him before returning to the living room. This had left the demon with Bella, who was also excited to see her older brother's friends. She was indeed a cute and polite girl, with long wavey brown hair and light freckles covering her face. She seemed to always have a bright, large smile on that showed the gap where her two front teeth should be. When Xander had walked into the bathroom, she had just finished washing her hands. But because she was so excited to see the other, she had decided to stay with him until he too was finished. "Hi Xan-Xan," she said enthusiastically before giggling at him ruffling her hair and followed him out of the bathroom.

Hearing her son's friend call back out to her, Karma's mother walked back into the kitchen with her husband following her. "Oh, that's fine! As long as Bella stays with you two!" That made Karma snap his head around. He did not recall his parents ever asking him to babysit his sister to begin with. Last time he checked, his entire family was supposed to be going out to dinner. That including his baby sister. It was not that he had disliked being with his sister, but he felt as if he was raising her himself with how often his parents dumped her on him. He was hoping to get a break, yet again his parents did not seem to understand that. "Wait, I thought you all were going out," Karma says, making his father chime in. "Well we are! But it turns out that the restaurant we made reservations for only has three spots open, instead of four."

It was clear with how blank his face was that Karma was beyond upset. The one time he had without work and a night out, his parents had decided to overload him with more work. "Dad, you can't just-"
"Hush Karma! You said you had a night off, yes?"
"Well yes but-"
"Then you can watch her! I'm sure Alexander wouldn't mind if you brought your sister along, right?" his father asked Xander, though it was clear that he had been pressuring him to say yes. Eric did not respond to Xander, for he did not need to. He was the one who was told to set up the reservation, and purposely claimed only three spots so the two could not have a night to themselves. So instead, he sat down at the dinner table, crossed his arms, and smirked evilly at him.

Cosmic_Chaos Cosmic_Chaos (eep! sorry this one is so short! i was so tired but i wanted to squeeze this one out before the day ended)

Xander noticed the change in atmosphere and quickly changed his attitude and mindset. this is why he was good at people, because he was able to change to fit the atmostphere. He watched quietly, processing and his mind working quickly and if anyone took note of him, they would see dark greens eyes staring before darting stright to someone else, before repeating. He was going through the possible ways to keep the peace while also saying that this isn't exactly a good thing. Logic could possibly would work on these guys, so he thought to use it. He looked to Karma who's face was blank and emotionless, and that meant he was upset. Bloody hells help him. When he was finally acknowledged, he looked up and anyone who wasn't blind could hell he wasn't angry.

"Sir, I don't mind looking after Bella. No one would, she's an adorable little girl. However." His voice was unusually cold and steely, the however forceful as he stood to his full height, prefering to crouch. "I would prefer to be asked before she's just being dumped onto me. Not to mention, have you no consideration for your son? You can't just give him MORE work after he got a Day off from it! Its rude and disrespectful to your own son. Just because he's your son doesn't mean you should do everything you don't want to do. Have you ever considered he wanted time to himself? He needs to study for school, and he needs to work, the guy gets no time to himself as it is, and when he does, you can't just pile on more stuff on him!" He explained, unafraid to speak his mind.

The thing with Xander was that he lacked fear. He could get scared, worried, nervous, all that. But he lacked fear, which made it ideal for him to be the guy to talk whats on his mind. He ofen wondered if this was because he was a demon, or because the Humans' brain worked really weirdly, but it worked for him either way. Humans were always so full of fear, it was easy to subconciously tab them and make them scared. But this was his friends house, so he kept it subtle. and just by looking it was easy to figure out what had happened. "Now I wonder who set up the reservation so it was only you two and Eric. Why, is it Erics Birthday or something? Why isn't this a family outting?" He asked, and the questions were very pointed. Eric wasn't smooth. if you were going to try and get away with something, don't be bloody fucking obvious. "You son got some time off for petes sake, have a family outting including him! But no, just take your Eldest, because that is a sane and logical thing to do isn't it?" He asked, the Sarcasm and disbelief in the last question heavy, very happy to make the family question themselves.

And boy he was going to tornment them. They're not going to want to sleep for a week. Then he realised something and he groaned. "Oh for the love of both heaven and hell, please don't tell me you're the kind of parents who'd continuously bug your child to do stuff for you even if they move out? Please tell me that if Karma moved out, you would actually stop bugging him to do your fucking chores?" he asked, and ah. He called Babbysitting, and therefore bella, a Chore. "Sorry, not chores, Bella is a nice girl and I can't see why people wouldn't want to spend time with her. To rephrase that 'Please tell me that if Karma moved out, you would actually stop bugging him to do your fucking job as parents?" He then smiled at Bella and then the sickly sweet smile that promised nothing good at the rest of Karma's family.

care_less care_less (Nah you're good, dw bout it! Mine is also short XD)

Everyone had stopped to a dead silence. The once noisy clutter of the family scattering around the house had dropped at Xander's bold words. Karma could feel his heart stop. No one had ever spoken to his father, or anyone in his family, in such a manner before. Not even him. His parents were not ones to take criticism lightly. Especially if it was from someone outside of their family. Karma's father stared at him for a moment with what could only be described as a mixture between false politeness and anger. But he shook it off, and smiled at Xander. It was obviously forced from how indignant his stare was, but refrained from using any harsh or inappropriate wording. "I see. Karma?" he called out, making the boy snap his green eyes towards the man. "Is that how you feel as well?"

Karma could not think of what to say. Part of him wished that Xander could have just played along, and allowed him to get further mistreated. But he knew deep down that this needed to happen. With Xander there or not, this conversation was going to come out eventually. However Karma was not prepared for this to all happen so soon, and was terrified of the outcome. "Yes," he says softly, which was difficult for anyone else to hear at first. "Pardon?" his father asked.
"I said yes!" he said a bit louder, now standing himself up straight as he tried to build up the courage within himself to speak his mind. "I've done everything you've asked. I take care of Isabelle, I cook dinner, I graduated high school with a 4.3 GPA, and I went into medical school all like you've asked. All I want is for you to treat me with respect like I have done for you. I have done every single chore in this household since I was ten, and yet you still treat me like a child. All I want is some respect, that's all."

There was another drop of silence in between them. The tension in the air thickening as Karma and his father stared intensely at each other. "Is that so?" his father finally asked as he took a few steps towards Karma. "Well. If you're so sure about yourself, then you can obviously take care of yourself. If you want to be an adult so badly, then why don't you go off and be one," he said harshly as he moved in closer, making Karma shrink back down as he leaned back against the kitchen counter as an attempt to move away. "If you want to be so mature, then get out of my house."

Karma felt his heart stop. Words cannot describe how many emotions he had been feeling. Hurt, rage, confusion, devastation, all of them came crashing in at once. "H-Huh?"
"You heard me. Pack up your things. If I see your things still here when we come back, I am calling the police." Karma felt hot tears sting his eyes, but did not allow them to fall. He turned to his mother, who had said nothing. She looked as shocked as he was, but did not say a word. She was not strong enough to stand against his father, and realized what he had to do. "Fine," Karma spat as he walked out of the kitchen. He walked over towards Xander first, and grabbed his wrist before dragging him upstairs to his room. His grip on him was tight. So tight that if he were to squeeze just a bit more, and he would have broken Xander's wrist. He was beyond upset, yet he did not say a word as he dragged him into his bedroom. Once they were inside, he slammed the door closed and released Xander as he marched over to his closet. Angrily throwing his clothing onto his bed as quickly as he could so the two could hurry up and leave.

At the calm words, 'I see' Xander knew he had fucked up. Oh he had fucked up big time. He thought he had an idea on his friends parents but turns out he didn't. Damn it to hell, he didn't want to have to deal with stuck-up people after getting off of work. Still he refused to budge but felt like he was fighting a losing battle until Karma was asked on his opinion and Karma stood up for himself a bit. Xander looked at Karma with an encouraging smile as Karma spoke his mind, hoping to signal that no matter what, he was on the angels side. The silence wasn't comforting and it was tense, and he hoped that Bella could see that her parents were a bit toxic and this was a no no. A cold chill washed through him at Karma's Father's 'Is that so?'. Xander stepped infront of Karma, between him and his fater, anouth so that Fater and som could see eachother, but not enough incase his Father got physical, which in this case he wasn't sure if that would happen or not and he didn't want to take the risk.

Then, the Father got in closer, and Xander stood his ground, but the father brushed past him. He growled quietly, ready to knock the human down if he dare hurt his friend. But, nothing ever care. other than words. And his heart almost broke at the small 'huh' that came from Karma, who wasn't expecting the 'if you're mature, then leave' comment. He noticed multiple things that were wrong, however. The Pizza can be taken out and taken over. Bella? "Oh! Are you going to take your daughter out with you? Because you haven't fixed that little issue with seating yet. But you can always ask to upgrade to a four-seater or one of those facy sofa seats. its very easy to do and if anything, much easier than requesting a 3 seater because restraunts don't automatically have 3 seats for a table. they can do it on request, but they wont offer them." He smiled politely, sounding helpful but at the same time spiteful. Since He wanted Karma, and him, out of his house, he wasn't going to hold back anymore.

Or at least, that was his thought process until his wrist was grabbed and taken away with him going along after it. He noticed the tightness, and smiled sadly. He didn't complain when Karma dragged him into his room and slammed the door. "I'm sorry your parents or at least your Father and Brother, are assholes." He appologised. In his eyes, he didn't do anything wrong. Karma wasn't happy here, this was just speeding up the process. if anything, it was a good thing. But, he tended to see the more optimist view of most situations. "Seriously, what the fuck was that? 'I want to be respected.' 'Oh? Well in that case, leave' Uegh?!" He made a face that perfectly said 'what the fuck'. "that Logic is Twisted. And they call themselves Christians-I'm not Christian myself so I wouldn't know, but I'm pretty sure that you should love you family and not treat them like a do-it-all slave. And well, they certainly didn't show any love. I can't believe I never saw how much of an asshole your Father was. Eric was always annoying, so I'm really not surprised he was petty enough to reserve 3 seats instead of 4. Your mother is weak for not standing up to her own husband." Zander ranted, folding the clothes thrown onot the bed, used to helping his parents back quickly.

"You probably don't want to hear this, but think of the positives. You get to move out, you don't have to deal with this toxic house-hold anymore, Your Father showed his true colours to everyone in the house." he shugged. "The only think I'm worried about is Bella, but she's a smart strong girl. And she's welcome over whenever she needs, we're just nextdoor after all. And really, that was rude, making you look after Bella when you had plans. Like, you can have plans but your son can't? Excuse me, but you Son isn't a house elf." He rolled his eyes, casually refrencing Harry potter. he grabbed one of Karma's bags in his room, and it was thankfully empty, before carefully placing some of the clothes away, proficent enough to pack and utilize as much space as possible, thanks to his mother who taught him.

Karma had kept his back towards Xander. He was not upset with him in the slightest, but he knew that such an aura was being drawn out of him. He did not want to show the other his face, for his human form was cracking from the pressure his rage was placing on itself. He could feel his pale eyes burn a dark, emerald green, and that was the last thing he needed Xander to see right now. So he played it off until he could settle himself back down. Which was rather easy, considering that he became rather good at pushing away his emotions. "It's fine. Could you just go into the bathroom up here and grab my glasses?" he asked. Though with how snappy his tone was, it had probably sounded more like a command more than a question. It took him a good minute, but his eyes shifted back to its normal color. Meaning that Karma could be a lot less tense, despite the fact that he had still been kicked out of the house.

The male grabbed another bag, and placed it wide open on the edge of his bed. Shoving whatever clothing, bathroom products, school books and valuable items he could fit. Luckily for him, the two duffel bags, a suitcase, and three hiking book bags was enough for the two to fit all of his belongs. Which meant to second or third trips. He could leave the house without needing to see his family ever again. The thought alone had made his heart ache. As much as he bumped heads with them, Karma loved them. And for his family to betray his trust by easily throwing him out, hurt. He felt tears burning in his eyes, but did not let them fall. Instead, he wiped his eyes quickly before clearing his throat. Yet again pushing away his ability to feel. "Alright," he says as he slung on a backpack over his shoulder, and grabbed the luggage and duffel bag to leave Xander with the remaining bags. "Let's go."

By the time the pair had reached the bottom floor, his family had been long gone. It was evident that they had taken Bella with them, which gave Karma a little bit of relief. 'At least she's won't be alone,' he thought as he dragged his feet to the door. The pizza had still been cooking in the oven, making the house smell delictable with the meal him and Xander were supposed to enjoy. But Karma was not in the mood to eat. So just before he could leave, the angel walked into the kitchen and turned the oven off. He did not bother taking the pizza out or putting away his mess. It was no longer his problem.

The walk to Xander's home felt much longer than it really was. Even though he had lived right next door, it felt as if they had been walking to the opposite side of the country. Karma remained silent throughout it all. He could not find the will to speak. All he wanted to do now was to curl up onto the floor and cry his little heart out. But he kept any emotion he had locked away. He felt numb, and it showed with how empty his expression was. He looked exhausted, but numb. Once they had reached Xander's house, Karma stopped at the door. He knew where the extra key was placed, but he did not bother to reach for it. Instead, he waited besides the door quitely. Waiting for Xander to open the door like a lost puppy, wishing to get inside a place of comfort.

Cosmic_Chaos Cosmic_Chaos

"Sure bro. I can do that." He agreed, not minding the tone of voice, but ultimatly worried. He was going to force a cuddle session, or at the vey least 'relax on me and keep touching to a minimum' session. He walked tothe Bathroom, pausing slightly at the Rooms. He looked in one and Saw Isabellas room, and left it. Every other room, however, he set a small curse. Nothing too major that woudl hurt them, or effect them physically. But Psychologically wise, it would fuck them up. For Eric, He was going to feel as though he was haunted, as though someone was watching him. He wanted to be the one everyone looked al? Well alright then, ge tthe feeling of being watched and be afraid. The Parents, however, now this was interesting. It was the same fear, but it came about differently. The curse Keyed to his friends mother, was feeling alone and her dreams will reflect it, by turning on her own son and not helping him, he will make it feel like her own family has turned from her. For the father? Oho, now that was special. He wanted to assert dominance? be the bigger man? go for it, but only if you want to feel any emotional connection with everyone you know and love shatter like glass.

He grabbed the glasses after a minute of setting up curses and came back feeling personally better, but still trying to be mindful about his friend. The Curses should see results soon. He looked at all the stuff they had to carry, and noticed that Karma has picked up what he could, so he grabbed the rest easily enough. "Yes sir." He replied, eyeing his friend worriedly. Xander was worried for his friend, who was pushing the emotions away. That shit wasn't going to fly at his house. Fuck the Cuddle session, the guy needed a a cry and sob-your-heart-out session. This was also the time to lock up his own emotions for the meantime, so he didn't accidentally get emotional with his friend being the empath he was.

Xander took note that Karma was leaving the food, he sighed and accepted. He had planned takeout today before Karma suggested homemade, so he could always go back to that plan. or he could try and make something. Whatever happened would happen, he would talk to Karma about it when the other had calmed down a bit. He was tempted to turn the oven back on, it wasn't Karma' place to turn it off anymore. But because Bella lived there, he let it slide this once. He would have to talk to his parents tonight and explain to them what happened. They'll understand, and they'll even welcome Karma into the Family. They treated him as such ever since he started coming over frequently. Perferably he calls them before Karma's parents calls them and try to spead lies. He didn't turst them anymore to not do that. He knew his parents would believe him because he made a promise (Aka pact) with them to never lie. He never wanted their soul, Just that they'll always belive him if he never lied. He looked to Karma as they left the house, not bothing to lock the door as they left.

Xander looked to Karma, and the guy really didn't look good. He wanted to give the other a big old hug, but waited until they got in the house. he almost looked like a lost puppy, and Xander put down the suff he was carrying to fish out a key to unlock the door. the door opened and he ruffled the others hair gentle. "We're home." He smiled, gently and welcoming, a hand on the arm of his friend, making sure he walked him first. He walked in after, calling out 'We're home!' as he would normally do if his parents were there and he brought Karma over. He smiled at his friend and opened his arms after putting all the stuff down. "Want a hug buddy? You look like you need to let emotions out." He smiled, a sad but comforting and patient.

Once Xander had opened the door, Karma made sure to keep his head down as he followed him inside. He could not bring himself to keeping his head up high, for gravity seemed to be much more heavy than usually. Perhaps it was not the change in gravity, but instead a new-found guilt that weighed heavily on his shoulder, neck and head. However, he picked up his head for just a few seconds when he heard Xander break the silence. Karma smiled weakly at him, and tried to shake himself off. He could not have his friend worrying too much about him. The last thing he wanted was for the other to stress out because of Karma's family situation, or his own anxieties and doubts. "Huh? Ah, yeah I'm fine," he lied as he began removing his shoes.

His mind could not help but to run in circles with the possibilities of keeping his mouth shut. He knew that it was unreasonable to ponder about the 'what ifs', for the damage had already been done. He knew that he could not change the past. But that did not stop his mind from overthinking his situation? What if he stayed quiet? Would he still be at his home right now, watching a movie with Xander and Bella while finishing up their slices of pizza? The pizza! Now that he had left their dinner at home, there was nothing for the two to eat tonight! "Shit, we forgot the food," Karma says with a defeated sigh. The one thing he was supposed to do, and he was not able to finish his one and only task. "I'm sorry. I know you were looking forward to eat it," he says as he pulled his iPhone out of his pajama pants pockets to check the time.

21:38

"Damn, it's a bit late," he mumbled as he shoved his phone back into his pocket. He turned himself back towards Xander. Pushing his sliding glasses back up the bridge of his nose, which seemed to be a rather repetitive habit of his. "I can start a new pie if you want, assuming you have the proper ingredients," Karma suggested. He wanted to make up for how terrible this night was becoming. He felt mainly responsible for their night taking a rather depressing turn. After all, it was his father who had caused the scene that made everything spiral out of control. Plus, Xander had been allowing him to stay in his home for a little while. He felt as if he needed to repay him and his parents eventually for being so kind to him. He might as well start by re-making their dinner. "It may take a while. Perhaps another hour or two before everything would be done.

Cosmic_Chaos Cosmic_Chaos (aaaaaaaah its so shortt!! im so sorrryyy)

Xander huffed a laugh at the blatent lie before shaking his head, "Don't lie, Karma. I'm an idiot, but when it comes to you I can read you almost like a book." He lifted a hand to cup the others cheek, this thumb gently rubbing the cheekbone soothingly. He was copying what his mother did whenever he felt bad or upset. "You family just rejected you, its okay to be hurt. you are allowed to feel emotions. I'm here and i'm not going to leave you, even if you dropkick me to space." He smiled, the continuous motion always helped sooth him when he was younger. He had to resist the urdge to just hug the guy and make him sit down and cuddle the fucker until he felt better, but he knew he had to take things slowly. Hence him holding Karmas cheek with his hand.

"Forget the Food, its fine. You can make it some other time if you really want to. I can order take out, It was my original plan before you said you were going to cook." He shook his head. He looked at the time and chuckled, "Besides its a bit late to cook. Take out are open til midnight so." He said, pullinging away slowly before getting out his phone, going onto an App. "Do you want Pizza?" He asked, showing the pizza orders. "You choose, I'll take your stuff to your room. and No, you're not allowed to help until you chose something, okay?" He asked, grabbing half of the luggage the other had and walked off to the bedroom his friend was staying at. it was still an office right now, they'd have to actually buy a bed first. But for now, also storage. This can all wait until morning. He went down, grabbing the rest of the bags. "So the room is still an office right now, Want me to steal your bed from next door?" He asked obviously joking, but if Karma really wanted to sleep in another bed, he could.

Taking the stuff upstair and putting them in the room, he thought of something. He grabbed his duvet from his own bed, and brought it as he went back down, only to drape it over Karma like a cape and force the other to sit down on the sofa, trying to get the other to feel more comfy. He then grinned. "Alright, ground rules. No hiding your emotions. This is a safe place, you can show emotions here. Second off, I wont stop you from cooking but not while your emotionally distressed like right now. Third, you either sleep in my parents bed where they've fucked a lot or in my bed where I've been a single pringle, its up to you, but you're sleeping in a bed. Fourth and most important rule." He said, looking supser serious. "Have fun here. We're not going to force you to do anything, you don't need to do anything. You have no keep, no chores, nothing. Okay?" He asked, before sitting down next to the guy and putting the TV on for something in the background. It was something about animals, a nature documentary.

The Takeout guy finally came and Xander answered the door, gave the guy money and took the food back to the sofa. He didn't mind what Karma god, ready to eat anything.

care_less care_less (Its fine! I just matched your post I wasn't sure what else to put so don't worry :D)

Karma could not help but to push the other away. It was a habit of his. A second nature that was nearly impossible to break from. But he knew that waiting for the moment for him to crack was not an ideal situation, either. Having a mental breakdown was much more embarrassing then simply shedding a few tears. "I'm sorry," he apologized as he adjusted the glasses on his face. Not because they were sliding, but just out of a nervous habit. For someone who did not like to be touched, Karma was rather peaceful with the other gently holding his face. It was warm and comforting against his cold skin. It had definitely calmed his anxious mind and softened him up a bit. To the point that if Xander were to hug him, that he would not try to fight it, and would actually lean into it. "Thanks," he murmured, but did not say anything more. He could not muster the courage to say anything more.

"We don't have to eat pizza, I'm not all that hungry," he says, even though he had not ate since the two were last together. Karma's new-found melancholy made his appetite disappear completely. He was just about to grab his bags and help Xander bring up his luggage, but his friend had beat him to it. He could not help but feel more guilty by not helping him, but he knew how stubborn Xander was. No meant no, so there was nothing he could do to change his mind. He smiled weakly as he watched the other carry his things. He had to admit, his belongings were a bit heavy. It would usually take a person of Xander's build and size to struggle before picking it up. But he had carried it effortlessly. Although it should have been a clear sign to Karma that something was off, he had no thoughts of the action being strange. His brain power had been shut off. So there was no way for him to tell what his best friend really was.

The male waited for his friend patiently in the living room. He had not even bothered to sit down, and instead paced the room in continuous circles. Once Xander was back, Karma perked his head up and stopped himself. He listened to the other's set of house rules, and could not help but to chuckle at some of them. Little did he know that his first morning there that he had planned to clean the entire house anyways and cook their next breakfast. Doing house chores was very much relaxing for him, and was a way for him to let off some steam. He usually had a strict morning schedule that he had grown used to following. Wake up. Dress in work-out clothing. Clean and polish the house. Run. Shower and get ready for the day. Cook breakfast. Then water his plants. If he did not follow his schedule, he would feel extremely unbalanced and apprehensive on what the rest of the day would bring. But, he had pretended that he would follow through and nodded. "Okay," he says as he finally sat himself down on the couch.

Once the pizza arrived, Karma had sprung himself up. He did not order anything extraordinary. For a guy who was excellent at cooking, he often enjoyed foods that were more bland and simple. So, he ordered a regular cheese pizza. "Did you want to eat here? I remember hearing you mentioning video games in your room."

Cosmic_Chaos Cosmic_Chaos

He allowed himself to be pushed away, expecting it really. But then Karma appologised, and relaxed into his hand. He smiled and gently and slowly walked closed to hug the other. he used his hand on Karma's cheek to gently guide the others head on his shoulder. It was different to this other hugs, where he would wrap to arms around his target and squeeze. No, this one was special. closer together, heads on eachothers shoulder, one arm around the Angels waist, while his other hand was at the back of Karmas head, comforting and gentle. He could give a more protective-feeling cuddle later, but this was a comfort cuddle specifically for Karma. He stayed in that position for as long as needed, gently playing with the hair at the very back of Karma's head, until Karma gently moved away and he let go. Xander didn't have the heart to say anythign else.

He saw pizza and he almost drooled. He took it in, and Karma mentioned Video games "Oh yeah! Forgot about that. You can chill in my bed and nap if you want. You also have yet to decide where you'll sleep but, we can figure that out whenever." He grinned, keeping hold of the pizza in one hand and gently taking Karma's in the other. "Lets go!" He smiled, but it wasn't as energetic nor was he, still tyring to keep it calm for the other. He had to be mindful, had to be mindful for Karma. His door was already open, cause he never really fully closes it, so he had no trouble opening the door and head-butting the lightswitch. his room was rather basic, one dark crimson wall, the other 3 being a lighter, muted red. He just liked the colour red, and it gave his room a warmer feel. He guided Karma to the bed, and if nothing had happened and if it was just going to be a normal hang out, he would tackle the other and wrestle. but not today.

he turned on the TV and booted up the consol to play the game, but didn't touch it in favour of putting the food on the table and opening it up. He sat on the floor in front of the bed, finding it more comfortable. he grabbed the consol controller and rested his head back to look up at Karma with a smile. "Wanna watch me fail at being Phantom Thief?" He asked, as he booted up Persona 5, specifically the re-release royal. He was late to the game franchise, sure, but he was a sucker for the asthetics, and the previous games never caught his attention. He looked back and watched the into sequence, taking a slice of Pizza, keeping a close eye and being mindful to his friend. He made a noise muffled by Pizza that he just shoved into his mouth, and used his clean hand that wasnt holding the pizza to grab a book. it was a significantly large book, and he held it to Karma. He swalled and looked at his best friend with a smile.

"There you go. You left your book last time you were over, so if you wanna read go ahead." He grinned, knowing his friend could simply read and forget his troubles. he also left himself open for any kind of physical closeness, in case the other wanted to be close but didn't want to hug again.
