Fantasy Hidden Powers - A Progressive Power RP

The Story

In a modern day and age, many Humans are discovering they have unique powers they didn't know they had. Long ago, when the Human race was born, extraterrestrials imbued some of their power into the Humans. Each Human's body reacted differently to the power that they transferred, thus giving every Human unique and different powers that would someday be unlocked. How it was unlocked was unknown to them all and before they could ask, the extraterrestrials had left, leaving the humans to figure this out.

Now, Humans had all but forgotten the dormant power inside them and went on living life as if nothing had happened.. until recent cases of random fires where random shouldn't happen, unnatural disasters and much more began flooding news and media. A short world-wide panic ensued and anyone with any suspicion of being "alien" was met with harsh punishment. This panic is still happening and 'aliens' are being punished by the thousands, everyone who has their power tries their hardest to hide it.

However, it seems whatever planted their power in the early Humans used it as a seed to watch them. Now they plan their next move..

The Rules

1. Follow basic RPN rules.
2. This is a progressive power RP, most of the characters won't have their power unlocked and those that do have very limited use and control of it. Your characters WILL get better as the RP time-skips.
3. No Gary Stues/Mary Sues
4. I have a no Metagaming/powergaming policy. So, none of that.
5. You create your character's story, if you want something that relates to your character's story to be a major part of the story, contact me first.
6. I'm a pretty chill dude, so I'm open to ideas, just as long as it fits the story I have in mind.
7. I hope I'm not missing anything....

Limited at best. The Humans had all but forgotten they had them, so when they did pop up in the Humans. they were surprised, confused and scared.

Ok cool thats what i was hoping to hear. I like stories where people discover their abilities slowly. Tis what attracted my attention. Ill pm you with a few character ideas.

My other RP, King's War, is a low-power setting. It's what inspired this idea out of me.
I also like to see character growth, so a progressive power RP seemed a good alternative to make for a starting low-power to a high-power by the end of it.

As someone who makes RPs with INCREDIBLY varying degrees of power (like, one RP I straight up denied characters who had "general" powers, while in another I allowed invulnerability and minor reality warping), I can totally appreciate a low-to-high power RP. I'd be more than happy to toss around some ideas ^^!

The idea is that there is no duplicates as the power implanted in the early Humans reacted differently to each Humans' body resulting in unique power for each person.

Wouldn't be character growth if you couldn't. However, if you could stick to your character's base power that would be great.
