Name:
Nikolai Gogol
Nicknames/Aliases: (Name)
Age: 26
Pronouns: He/Him

Traits:
Physical Appearance:
Gogol has white layered, sharp hair swept to the left side of his face. However, as short as it seems, he also has a long braid of hair that often rests on his right shoulder. A scar is slit vertically down his left eye. Compared to his left eye, his right eye appears vacant, bearing no highlights in it.

Over his right eye appears to be a card-styled mask or eye patch. Gogol's attire is just as eccentric as his personality and closely resembles that of a circus ringmaster. He wears a mostly black jacket, the right side being solid black, black-and-white striped trousers, a shirt with a ruffled, round collar akin to a loose elaborate turtleneck, and dark gloves. He completes the outfit with a top hat with a diamond pattern.

Personality: Gogol is sadistic and loves to speak in great theatrics. One of his main traits is his tendency to pose questions (oftentimes rhetorical threats) as "quizzes". He is also skilled in disguises, deceiving Tonan as his secretary. Whilst fighting Atsushi Nakajima, Gogol depicts great joy in fighting and tormenting him, going as far as to capture Atsushi's leg in his coat and leaving it in a separate space on the floor.

Gogol hints that his eccentric persona may or may not be real. The side of him feeling no remorse in murdering others is just as real as the side that feels guilt, well aware of how wrong and cruel his actions are. He claims to want to soar as freely as birds do. Nonetheless, both sides appear evident. However, even if he does feel guilt, he acts as if he bears no hard feelings towards Fyodor Dostoevsky, whom he nicknames "Dostoy", "Dos-Kun," or "Fedya", depending on Language.

Brief Backstory: He is a former member of the Decay of the Angel. In order to set a frame-up on the Armed Detective Agency, Nikolai presented a "new urgent request" to Kunikida and the others to stop him from killing the hostages with chainsaw ropes. Gogol disguises himself as a police officer and shoots the driver of the car Mushitarō Oguri is in. He then introduces himself in the form of a quiz and states that he has come to clean up messes. He further explains that his job is to eliminate anyone who knows the Decay of the Angel's next course of action, five people who will announce the demise of the celestial world.

Gogol appears with his hostages, who are high-rank government officials bound in a body-cutting machine. He then gives the Agency four pieces of information: (a) when the times comes, the government officials will be cut into two; (b) if the other people aside from the Agency members attempt to interfere, the chainsaw will start automatically; and (c) the chainsaw will be activated precisely at 6 p.m., approximately 30 minutes away. Remembering that there is no fourth thing, he orders his cohort to turn the camera off.

While Atsushi Nakajima sneakily goes to the mansion where the hostages are held through the evacuation route, Gogol shoots him from the back, which Atsushi manages to avoid. Atsushi then asks if he is one of the terrorists, to which Gogol replies with his name and tells him his ability, an object transfer-type ability. Atsushi attacks Gogol, but the latter manages to take out a gun, which Atsushi stops by using the fangs of the tiger. Gogol then uses his ability to take out a large telephone pole to attack Atsushi. While Atsushi is injured, Gogol then uses his ability to make Atsushi's legs come from his coat, sealing the latter's mobility.

Later, when Tonan holds a secret meeting with various government officials, Gogol disguises himself as Tonan's secretary and hands him the documents regarding Yukichi Fukuzawa's connection with the assassination of war hawks towards the end of the Great War, as well as the list of his targets. Tonan asks him to arrange a meeting with the informant, upon which Gogol summons a revolver afar using his ability and shoots his leg. Discarding his disguise, Gogol quizzes Tonan on why he spared his life, only for him to answer his own question and reveal in the Armed Detective Agency's connection with the Decay's scheme.

Atsushi asks Gogol his reason for killing people in cruel ways, to which Gogol responds with two answers. First, as he stabs Atsushi's leg from his cloak, he says that it is fun for him. He then says that such reply is the one for his victims. Gogol then tells Atsushi the "real answer", in which he states that he is completely sane and understands the evil of murder and feels guilt like other people. However, he seeks the perfect freedom, which compelled him to join the Decay of the Angel, with Fyodor Dostoevsky as the only one who understands him. However, he reverts his statements and advises Atsushi not to believe a clown's words. He then leaves Atsushi's leg stuck on the floor from his coat and disappears.

Gogol surfaces at the hostage site and asks Tonan his thoughts before saying goodbye to his lower body, to which Tonan replies that he will destroy him. As thanks for his help over the last six months, Gogol tells him that he will only save him, offering him a device to call for rescue. After a while, the Agency members arrive at the area. Though there are still five minutes remaining, Gogol orders a hooded subordinate to press the button that activates the chainsaw. He then proceeds to tell them to take off their hoods, just as the machine starts to cut the bodies of the other government officials.

After taking off the hoods, Gogol chuckles at the side, witnessing the Agency members being revealed as the hooded hostage takers inside the site despite not yet breaking down the door. With the Agency members surprised at the situation, they find Gogol tied up on a chainsaw chair, who tells them that they are avatars of justice as opposed to the purely evil Decay of the Angel. Stating his desire for freedom of his soul, the chainsaw on Gogol's seat activates; he pleads that he does not want to die and asks Tonan for help. Eventually, as Gogol's body is cut in half, Tonan informs the military that the Decay of the Angel is the Armed Detective Agency.

Some time later, the Hunting Dogs are dispatched to the Sky Casino, which ends up with Sigma – the casino's manager and a Decay of the Angel member – falling from the floating establishment. As Sigma nears his landing, Gogol awaits for him at the ground, preparing for his "Revival-From-Death" Magic
Later, Sigma wakes up at the sight of Gogol, who explains how he rescued him by using his space connection ability to lower him little by little until reaching the ground. Sigma then asks Gogol why the clown rescued him and, knowing that Gogol should have died during the hostage operation as part of their plan, how he survived. Gogol tells him that he created a gap with his ability to replace someone else's torso in said gap, allowing him to fake his death.

Gogol telling Sigma to use his ability to know Fyodor's ability.

Sigma finally asks him his motive for not sticking to the plan of having him truly killed ever since the beginning, which was Gogol's desire in the first place to achieve true freedom. Gogol replies that Fyodor is indeed the one who truly understood him and hence considers him as his friend. However, Gogol realizes how he can be truly free from his "brainwashing" if he kills his friend, asking Sigma to use his ability to read Fyodor's ability. Gogol claims that Sigma will never find his "home" so long as Fyodor lives, urging Sigma to cooperate with him for their next act.

Gogol together with Sigma arrive at Meursault and frees Fyodor and Dazai from their cells using his ability. After successfully freeing the two, Fyodor asks him the reason for doing so. Gogol excitingly approaches Fyodor telling him the reason for coming at Meursault-in order to kill him. In addition, Gogol asserts being conflicted with saving his friend and killing him to achieve genuine freedom. To fulfill both, he came up with a plan for the Dazai and Fyodor to engage in a jail break duel in order to fulfill his wishes.

After introducing the jail break duel, Gogol tells the two that whoever escapes Meursault first wins and proceeds to give them a lethal injection which to be injected by Fyodor and Dazai to themselves. After the two injected themselves, Gogol commences the start of the game. Before proceeding to the duel, Gogol firstly explains the prison's structure, security personnel, elevator system indicating how hard it would be to escape the prison. He then gives the last bit of information needed by the two which is if someone is detected or spotted, they will be locked and will be drowned in heavy water. He then gives the two "presents" which will aid them on their escape and explains each of the four items presented to them. Gogol then lets Fyodor choose first. Meanwhile, Dazai chooses Sigma as his weapon. Gogol laughs as he describes Dazai as the best

Five minutes into their duel, Gogol wonders why Fyodor has not yet moved. He instead assumes that one of his pawns has started moving, to which Fyodor smirks in response. As an intruder wipes out an entire floor's battalion, Fyodor gets surrounded by Meursault's forces, compelling Gogol to teleport away.

Abilities/Powers:
Gogol's ability, The Overcoat (外がい套とう, Gaitō?, Russian: Шинель, Shinel), allows him to use his coat to manipulate spaces and what comes out of them. That is, it acts largely like a portal, capable of relocating objects, as well as a 'pocket dimension' where he is able to store objects. He can use this to make his hand and gun appear in a space completely unrelated to him or drop a pillar through a portal before holding it there and opening the other end at a later point in time. The ability works on living things as well. He uses it to 'sever' Atsushi's leg from his body, trapping it on the floor. However, Atsushi is still able to move his leg and recieves pain signals from it. The Overcoat's range is upwards of 30 meters.
Weapons: Gogol Uses whatever there is to grab through his ability.
Strengths/Weaknesses: "My strength is my magic skills, my weakness is being too whimsical."
What's your motto? "Be like a free bird."
What's something that you want now? "Someone who understands me."
What made you laugh recently? "The praise and applause I get from the crowd."

- Shard

Name: Shard the Metal Sonic

Nicknames/Aliases: Agent Jack, Metal Sonic V2.6

Age: Mentally around 15-17

Gender/Pronouns: Male (He/Him)

Sexuality: Pansexual

TRAITS

Personality: On the surface level, Shard shares plenty of traits with the hedgehog he was based on. Just like Sonic some of the first words you could describe him with are easy going, playful, and with a bit of an ego. However, despite those surface level similarities, these traits manifest in Shard quite differently. He's quite the prankster, not afraid to occasionally mess with or outright tease his teammates much to their collective ire. For straight laced folk, he might come off as particularly grating, not one to take anything seriously. However, his ego is what often gets him the most in trouble, as when combined with his preference for rushing into action rather than waiting by the sidelines, there has been one or two times where he's overestimated himself or forgotten the limitations of the people he was working with, leading to all sorts of sticky situations.

However, at his core Shard is someone who desires nothing more than to fix the mistakes of his past, and the further you look, the more you'll see the cracks in his carefree persona. Shard is incredibly insecure, hyperaware of the negative, although warranted, perception surrounding him and his fellow badniks. And when Shard lives day to day knowing that if most folks took one look at him they'd immediately run away in fear, and that even his own creator, Uncle Chuck, views him as nothing but a reminder of his past mistakes, it's led to him developing some anxiety around meeting new people, not viewing himself as quite 'ready' to reveal himself to the world. But above all else, Shard wants to prove to the world that robots like him can turn a new leaf and that he can make up for the mistakes of his past. He genuinely cares for the people around and will do anything it takes to protect others either to his own detriment.

Brief Backstory: Shard’s had quite the past. He was one of the first Metal Sonic’s built by Doctor Robotnik, used to kidnap Amy Rose, using her as bait for the real blue blur. He and Sonic raced along Stardust Speedway for the fate of Amy. As always, Sonic won the race and the Metal Sonic was left broken and defeated. This wouldn’t put him out of commission for long as in order to stop the chaotix, Robotnik repaired Metal Sonic and gave him a power gem, allowing him to transform into the monstrous Titan Metal Sonic. Nigh unstoppable, it’d only be thanks to Knuckle’s own use of the power gem that Metal Sonic would be stopped.

However, the power gem still remained inside of the Metal Sonic and thus his body would eventually be able to repair itself. Faster and stronger than ever, Metal sought to bring an end to Sonic, kidnapping Tail’s and trapping him in an active volcano. Thus Sonic had to race against the clock to save his friend before he’d be cooked by lava. All the while Sonic tried to get it through to the robot that he didn’t have to be like this, that power alone wasn’t all there was to existence. Metal wouldn’t understand until the newly freed Tails risked his own life to stay by Sonic’s side, even when he could have easily flown away and saved himself. This seemed to be what finally got through to Metal as in his first and seemingly final act of heroism he sacrificed himself by physically holding back the lava with his own body. He’d be submerged under the hot lava and buried.

That would’ve been the end for him, should’ve been the end for him. But, Metal Sonic still continued to live on through his power core which remained in tact despite all that happened. This core would be recovered and given to Uncle Chuck, who’d use its data to design a line of robotic Sonics to act as an army, though those all would eventually be destroyed after going haywire. Nevertheless the Power Gem still remained.

After some time Uncle Chuck would utilize the Power Gem once more. Collecting the parts and limbs of prior destroyed Metal Sonics, Chuck rebuilt Metal Sonic from the ground up. Thus he was given new life and a new name along with it, Shard the Metal Sonic. Soon after his creation he’d be handed off to Harvey Who in order to join the Secret Freedom Fighters, an organization formed after Naugus took over as the ruler of New Mobotropolis. While apart of the team he’d help track down Geoffrey St. John, Naugus’ apprentice, and gather information to put a stop to Naugus’ plans. In the end they did, Shard along with the rest of the team would stop Naugus from mind controlling the entire Council of Acorn.

Eventually he’d meet Sonic the Hedgehog once again, this time not fighting against him but fighting with him against the Krudzu Hybrid Hydra. It took some quick explanations and having to deal with warranted confusion and distrust from the hedgehog but eventually Shard made his case that he was an ally and genuinely wanted to help even if he couldn’t say why or who he was working for. Once he got his point across he’d help sonic defeat the weed.

After this he’d return to New Mobotropolis, he still wouldn’t show himself to the public. Instead, he began spending time with Nichole the Holo-Lynx, finding solace in their mechanical similarities. He knew that normal mobians would surely be scared of him, considering the fact he was a Metal Sonic and had in the past had tried to kill the real Sonic multiple times. However as much as he longed for friends or even family, Shard was satisfied with having a friend in Nichole.

Another Metal Sonic would eventually be rebuilt by Doctor Robotnik and sent to deal with Shard. This one with another power gem core just like Shard’s own. One on one they two robots fought each other as Shard tried to appeal to Metal that he didn’t have to be this way. However, when that showed to be impossible, Shard concluded he had no choice but to take his “Brother” down. It was a heated battle but the newer Metal Sonic had the edge. Shard realized that he couldn’t win this fight and in an act of sacrifice, got the Metal Sonic to self destruct, with him being in the crossfire. Lying broken, battered, and his gem cracked, he sent an emergency message to Nichole before powering down soon after.

COMBAT

Abilities/Powers:

Rocket Powered Speed: Like almost every other Metal Sonic, Shard was built in order to rival Sonic’s super speed and thus was given rocket thrusters that allow him to go toe to toe with the blue blur and even fly.

Spindash: Although a robot, Shard shares the ability of other hedgehogs to roll up into a ball and attack foes with his spiky quills.

Power Gem Core: The crystal embedded into Shard’s chest is a Power Gem, a gemstone filled with boundless Chaos Energy. Although considerably weaker than a chaos emerald, it is still an incredibly powerful item, as on its own the gem is capable of powering and upgrading machinery, increase the size of objects, and more.

Infra-red Vision: Shard can detect heat signatures and use those to scan for traps, prints, and other sorts of information that may not be visible to the organic eye.

Auto-Repair: If parts of his body are destroyed or broken, Shard can repair himself to a certain extent by drawing on the Power Gem’s energy. However, this process is very taxing on him.

Weapons:

Adaptable arm: Using nanite technology, Shard’s left arm can transform into a variety of weapons and tools, including a laser blaster, drill, sword, and more.

Strengths:

Robot: Thanks to his robotic state of being, Shard doesn’t suffer from any weaknesses common to organic creatures. He doesn’t need to eat, breathe, or sleep, he doesn’t have fragile skin or bone, and won’t age. Things that would typically injure the average mobian, human, or overlander wouldn’t so much as leave a scratch on Shard.

Weaknesses:

Taphephobia: Because of his experience being stuck under molten lava for so long, Shard eventually developed a strong fear of being buried alive.

Limited Power: For all its strengths, the Power Gem has plenty of weaknesses that Shard has to keep in mind. For one, as Shard’s consciousness is connected to the gemstone, if something were to happen to it, such as being cracked for shattered, Shard himself would also perish. As well, extended use of it will require Shard to wait for it to recharge, forcing him out of combat mode.

OTHER

Fandom: Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie Comics)

Trivia:
  • When not in combat mode, Shard’s eyes and the Power Gem glow green.
  • Shard's biggest desire is to have a family
  • It was implied during the story that Shard may have a crush on Nichole, however he ended up perishing before he was able to confess his feelings
  • In the later half of his run in the comics, he’s occasionally referred to as “Shard the Mecha Sonic” due to an assortment of legal issues that were going on at the time.

THEMES

(Okay technically he doesn’t have a theme song, but since parts of Shard’s backstory loosely adapt Sonic CD, the Sonic OVA, Knuckle’s Chaotix, and a few other games I’ll take what I can get)

Despite that, he still harbors some amount of a heart of gold as he is willing to open up once he starts to become acclimated with a person, and is seemingly really dedicated and serious about the magical arts as seen when he teaches both of his comrades Runa and Shay anima magic. It is heavily insinuated throughout Act I of the game and fully disclosed as early as Shay's B-support, that Shom is homosexual and was in a relationship with his former retainer, Jacob. Shom's father, Wester, was enraged after he found out, denouncing his oldest son and executing Jacob, driving Shom to spiral into depression.

Brief backstory: (shom doesn’t really have that Much history shown about him so sadly it’s gonna be pretty short, god I wish rebellion saga could already be Released)
Shom was born as a noble of house windlance and the oldest brother of his siblings, Shay and William along with having cousins, Ada, Anila, and Alicia, he took part in the rebellion, so as did most of house windlance, his retainer Jacob, and Jacob’s sister, Madeline, but somewhere during or after the rebellion Shom convinced Jacob to step up their relationship (won’t add anything else there to keep it pg 👍) that night was the best night shom ever had, yet the morning after was the worst, his father Wester found out and killed Jacob right in front of him, Wester wanted to kill Shom too but he fled before he could, the death, just like it said in the personality part, drove him into depression, and while he was gone, Wester covered up Jacobs murder by saying Shom did it, making most if not all of house windlance believe Shom killed Jacob and fled before they could interrogate him

Abilities/powers:
his family has a ability called glacies, which for andaron saga adds the resistance stat to damage dealt if activated, for this RP though I’d just say it doubles the damage dealt by his magic, other than wielding anima magic and staves nothing else is worth noting
Weapons:
Archgale: the regalia of house windlance which increases Shoms speed and resistance to magic attacks | hoarfrost: a personal tome of Shom’s that can slow people down

Likes: peace and quiet, magic | Hates: most of his house, annoying people

Name: YoRHa No.9 Type S
Nicknames/Aliases: 9S, Nines
Age: Unknown, appears/acts 19ish
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Pronouns: He/Him
Species: Android
Fandom: Nier Automata

Traits:
Personality: As a scanner model, 9S is naturally curious about the world around him - especially the machine lifeforms. Usually working alone, he is deployed on the front lines with other S-type models, acting as YoRHa's main intelligence gatherer. According to A2, 9S is a "high-end model", meaning that he is one of the newest scanner types. As the newest model, he tends to dig deeper into YoRHa's secrets than his peers, often asking questions that those around him think he shouldn't be asking.

As a member of YoRHa, he has a deep distrust of the machine lifeforms now inhabiting the planet, which is fully revealed when an emissary from Pascal's village confronts him and 2B in the abandoned amusement park. Although he does not trust the supposed peace treaty, his overwhelming curiosity leads him to agree to follow the machine to its home. As time goes by, 9S's opinion of the machines changes as he learns more about them, and he ends up genuinely caring for Pascal and his villagers. In Routes A and B, as he competes in the colosseum in the Flooded City, he expresses his disgust at the Resistance androids in their treatment of the machines, which rivals the cruelty he thought only humans were capable of. However, he cannot help but wonder if there is a part of him capable of such depravity.

When interacting with other androids - be they Resistance or YoRHa - 9S is generally cheerful, optimistic, understanding and helpful. 9S is also somewhat playful, as evidenced by the way he fist-bumps Pod 153 to show affection. By his own admission, 9S isn't known for his modesty. He also admits that he's not very good at adhering to YoRHa's protocol of forbidding emotions. He tends to speak informally to those he knows well, such as being rather dismissive of 21O, with a tendency to wave her off with "yeah, yeah" or "fiiiiiiine". That's not to say he's informal with everyone; he calls 2B "ma'am" until she asks him to stop, and shows respect for those who command it, such as Commander White and the Council of Humanity.

Brief Backstory: 9S was born on January 30th, 11942, as a newly manufactured Scanner model. It is revealed that after detonating the black box, both 2B and 9S's data are uploaded back to The Bunker, where they are transferred to new bodies. But because there wasn't enough bandwidth and time, 9S chose to send 2B's memories back instead of his, causing him to forget everything about the previous battle with 2B (However, it is implied later that 9S only pretends to forget, as his memory is shown during the fight with the Soul Box boss. Among the various pictures there are those that depict his time with 2B before his black box detonation). 9S is next seen taking care of the boot sequence for 2B (which serves as an introduction to the game setting menu). Having been put in charge of her maintenance, he becomes 2B's partner and follows her to take care of the missions on Earth.

9S supports 2B in the Abandoned Factory to eliminate their target. After supporting her as she made her way through the facility, 2B escapes without having found her target. 9S informs her that there is another facility across the bridge, but that it's unusual for command to get the location of a target wrong. 2B then tells him that they weren't wrong, as she is attacked by two Marx-type units. A fight ensues, leading to 9S joining the fight, only to be slammed off his flight unit by the Engels unit that had finally emerged. When Engels is down, 2B makes her way to the top of him to find a mortally wounded 9S. He implores 2B to leave him to finish the mission and destroy the target. 2B hesitantly complies and takes his flight unit to defeat Engels. After the target is destroyed, 2B and 9S reunite, only for three more Engels to appear and attack them. 2B and 9S are forced to detonate their black boxes in order to destroy the Engels, but their fates are left unknown.

Later, 9S is captured by Adam and held as a hostage to lure 2B to the Copied City. Adam impales 9S to a wall in a cross-like manner, using this to taunt 2B, saying that "I prepared this just for you, I mean, after all...We all need something to fight for, don't we?". After Adam's defeat at 2B's hand, 9S is rescued and sent back to the Bunker for maintenance. He is absent until the final battle but still attempts to help 2B in various ways.

At the end of A-route, while attempting to disconnect Eve from the network to stop him from receiving more energy, 9S's data is corrupted. After the final battle with Eve, 9S gradually transforms. Seeing no other choice, 9S asks 2B to finish him off, reassuring her that his backup data at the Bunker can always be uploaded in a new body again. 2B protests, pointing out that although it's true, it comes at the cost of himself at the very moment they are talking, but eventually gives in and carries out his wish. Holding 9S's corpse in her arm, 2B breaks down, crying that "It always...ends like this...". However, the machines' data transmission around the battlefield soon starts resonating with each other and 9S intact consciousness is regenerated via the network. A-route ends with 9S - now in a giant machine body - holding 2B in his hand while she narrates: "What is it that separates machines from androids like us? The machine has gained emotion...Consciousness. The final screams they summon on the edge of death...They still echo within me."

9S would later go on to regain an android body and return to his normal self.

Combat:
Abilities/Powers:
  • Primary Attack - Basic light attack, does less damage, but is faster and has a higher combo potential. The precise nature of the attack depends on the equipped primary weapon
  • Hack - An ability in which 9S will detonate his target, causing significant damage to themselves and other enemies around them. If they were not aware of 9S or are peaceful, he is also given the options to subjugate or remote control the enemy. He can only used on machine lifeforms, androids or other beings of similar nature. He can also hack non-living systems/machines for information gathering
  • Jump moves - 9S can evade in mid-air and jump a second time in mid air or he can simply double jump
  • Perfect Evade - Evading just before an attack connects will cause a special evasion which makes 9S break into multiple hologram-like copies to dodge before the real form appears again
  • Counter - Timing an attack to strike the enemy's weapon or fist as they swing will deflect their attack and allow a counter-attack in the same manner as after a Perfect Evade.
  • Self Destruct - 9S has the ability to self destruct, dealing immense damage to himself and those around her. The base damage it deals to enemies is equal to 9S's current health. After self-destructing, 9S will be left with 1HP and be unable to perform most actions for a short period while he reboots her systems.
Weapons: 9S carries a katana-esque blade called Cruel Oath used for his ordinary attacks

Other:
-His name is probably a Latin pun: "non esse" is "not to be," the opposite of 2B's "to be."
-Despite fighting for mankind, 9S has never met an actual human
-The "blindfold" over his eyes is actually a visor which allows him to track his own vitals, make mini maps of areas he's in and look up information stored in his database. He can see through it with no issues
-Under his visor, he has ice blue eyes, though he rarely will take it off due to YoRHa protocols

Name: General Vatallion (Duo Centurion to Marius Titus)
Nicknames/Aliases: General, Father figure, etc
Age: ??
Gender, Sexuality, Pronouns, etc.: Male/ Hetero/Cismale/ he/him

Traits:
Physical Appearance And/Or Description: Average athletic strength, Black hair, etc.
Personality: Vitallion is a major character in Ryse. As the Legate of the XIV., he has fought alongside Leontius Titus during a previous campaign to Britannia. When he meets Marius, he recruits him to the 14th legion after Marius's father is killed. A seasoned officer with decades of experience, his long history of war has caused him to question the new campaign through his own sense of morality.

Brief Backstory (around 2-3 paragraphs, but it can be longer if you wish)

General Vatallion, a seasoned warrior with a lifetime of battles etched into his weathered features, stands as a towering figure within the Roman Legion. His black hair, streaked with silver, frames a face etched with the lines of experience and the weight of countless decisions. Beneath his hardened exterior lies a heart that yearns for peace, a stark contrast to the brutal realities of war.
As a trusted lieutenant to Marius Titus, Vatallion has forged a bond of respect and loyalty that transcends the hierarchical structure of the Roman military. He serves as a mentor and a father figure to the younger legionaries, offering guidance and support in times of both triumph and despair. His wisdom, honed through years of combat, is invaluable to the Legion, and his strategic acumen has proven instrumental in countless victories.
However, as the Roman Empire expands its dominion, Vatallion's unwavering sense of morality begins to clash with the ruthless ambitions of his superiors. He questions the justification for the ongoing conflict, grappling with the immense cost of human life. His internal struggle between duty and conscience drives him to seek a more peaceful resolution, even as the war rages on.

Name: Sonic

Nicknames/Aliases:
- Sonic the Hedgehog
-The Hedgehog
-Blue Blur
-Hero of Mobius
-Kid

Fandom:
Sonic the Hedgehog (Specifically: Sonic the Hedgehog 1,2,3 Sonic and Knuckles, and CD)

Age: 15-17
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Stated to not like settling down or dating.
Pronouns: He/Him
Species: Hedgehog

Traits: de6f71s-6fc0d454-44aa-48b2-9a37-6dac8c06915a.gif
Physical Appearance And/Or Description
Sonic is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue spikes, tan inner ears, arms and chest. He wears cartoony white gloves reminiscent of 50s cartoons, socks and red shoes with a white stripe running across the top. He is very round and dynamic, only standing 76.5 cm (2'05") tall.

Personality
Sonic is a symbol of an archetypal hero, but he wouldn't refer to himself as a hero. He could be described at best as a proactive naturist. He has a strong sense of justice, combatting against the destruction of nature and the abuse of others. Sometimes having an attitude as he doesn't respect authority. He self-confident and brave, taking on any challenge that comes his way. He adventurous and independent, calling no place his home and traveling around the world. He can at times be impatient or impulsive, having a short attention span and a need for freedom. He enjoys napping whenever and wherever he pleases, typically lounging on beaches.

Brief Backstory (around 2-3 paragraphs, but it can be longer if you wish)

Not much is known about Sonic's life prior to his first appearance in game. He was said to be born on 'Christmas Island', June 23. In his early life, Sonic was faced with Dr. Ivo Robotnik on South Island, where the scientist had begun developing malevolent hardware and machines using animals. He had invaded the island in the hopes of discovering an ancient and powerful tools known as Choas Emeralds. Sonic's rebellious and freedom harboring nature lead them to clash and become enemies.

Sometime after, he encounters a young fox with a birth mutation know as Miles "Tails" Prower, who idolized Sonic's casual demeanor and proved himself to be a capable ally. Together, he began to aid Sonic in his attempts to thwart Dr. Robotnik, developing aircraft for better transportation and tagging along for runs around Mobius. Later, he would encounter Knuckles the Echidna, the guardian of the Master Emerald. And all though they would but heads at first, they would later come to an understanding, joining forces (Ha, Sonic Forces-) with him.

Combat: de6f71s-6fc0d454-44aa-48b2-9a37-6dac8c06915a.gif

Abilities/Powers:
Superhuman speed
-> Spin Attack: An offense moves where Sonic rolls himself into a ball to break through various barriers and enemies at high speeds. He can fluctuate his speed, allowing for fluid motions through complex level designs, like slopped surfaces and loops. However, he cannot attack all enemies, particularly ones with protective features like shields.
|
-> Spin Jump, Spin Dash and Homing Attack: Motions utilizing the Spin Attack as a base and providing different mechanics.
Spin Jump: Allows him to lunch himself into the air without losing mobility of his Spin Attack.
Spin Dash: Allows him to accelerate while stationary, providing momentum while in a Spin Attack.
Homing Attack: Allows him to target enemies after launching with a Spin Jump and attack them.

-> Super peel-out: Sonic can gain momentum before darting forward, making the move projecting himself forward at high speeds. Giving his legs this almost elastic look.

Weapons: He is the weapon.

Strengths: Sonic's biggest strength is actually his agility that accompanies his speed. He has enhanced reflexes, making him acrobatic and spry when encountering objects and unnatural patterns like loops. If an obstacle is in his way, he can leap over it or bulldoze through it. He is able to build momentum yet can temper himself to a stop. Tight corridors or high reaches, he will find a way to get through it.

Weaknesses:
Sonic never learned how to swim despite encountering multiple water levels. Slowly over time and throughout different medias this had manifested into being characterized as aquaphobia (fear of water or drowning). In earlier iterations, instead of swimming he runs across the floor, growing more panic as the player loses oxygen but later would be depicted being frightened by shallow pools and grow nauseous while on boats.
(Remember, when you're in a place that makes you uncomfortable and the music gets intense. That's no good!)

Other: de6f71s-6fc0d454-44aa-48b2-9a37-6dac8c06915a.gif

(These were grabbed from a translated Sonic 3 manual)
Likes:
- Fast moving things
-Music

Dislikes:
- The word 'slow'
- Tears

- Riding in vehicles like cars because they are too slow for him

Trivia:
-> Sonic's Japanese voice acting has jumped around between several voice actors before becoming primarily voiced by Jun'ichi Kanemaru. His debut was the 1998 Sonic Adventures game. His first voice actor was Takeshi Kusaeo, who voiced him for Sonic the Hedgehog OVA in 1993.
|
-> Jun'ichi Kanemaru has sung several songs in Sonic's voice for promotional material. Furthermore, he is actually an English Language teacher and would give Sonic English dialogue to add to his casual and free spirit. He sometimes would even have the character cuss, adding this sense of realism and relatability in his reactions. Sonic's voice is described as having a warm and comforting energy.

-> Gloves: There's this long-time running head canon for the Fandom that the gloves Mobian's wear are socially important and that taking them off is a sign of a trust. It's such small yet effective world building for why they all wear gloves I had to include it here.

-> By request of everyone, Sonic will be selectively mute and will only occasionally talk especially when close to someone.

Age: 24

Physical Description: Scott is a young fair-skinned man of average height and build. He's consistently portrayed as having relatively short, tawny coloured hair with thick black eyebrows in the comics, the movie and the anime.

Scott seems very laid back with his sense of style, with him usually wearing casual outfits, most commonly being ringer t-shirts which have a wide variety of colours. He wears denim pants although he is also seen wearing a variety including formal black pants during occasional gigs with Sex Bob-omb, and long khaki cargo shorts during warmer months, as seen in Volume 4. Scott also sports white and light blue Adidas Superstar sneakers, but he also is seen owning a white and green pair as well as featured in Volume 4. His footwear usually matches the colour of the t-shirts he wears.

One of his most iconic t-shirts is a green shirt featuring the logo of The Smashing Pumpkins, the print of a heart with the initials in the middle. He also wears a black and white ringer t-shirt with the word "ZERO" on it, in reference to the single of the same name released by The Smashing Pumpkins.

During the colder months in Toronto, Scott is constantly seen with a navy parka with a fuzzy hood whenever he is seen outside. The coat also has the symbol of the X-Men sewn into his right shoulder, which is implied to have been sewn by Scott himself.

Scott also wears a variety of wristbands, which is likely to prevent friction when he is playing on his bass, although Bryan Lee O'Malley has also stated that Scott wears them because he thinks they look cool, a decision made between Volume 3 and 4.

Personality: Scott is a cheerful and laid-back individual who is pretty open and friendly to most people. He is quite content with his current situation in life and while he does not show much motivation to better himself unless need be, he also is mostly unburdened by the same sort of neuroses or issues that his friends have. Furthermore, he does possess an odd form of charisma; despite the complaints and issues of his friends with his faults, they do generally enjoy spending time with him and being his friend, even the stoic Stephen and dour Kim, showing that he serves as something of a bright spot in their lives. His pleasant and simple-minded nature means he is rather easy to be around and get along with, especially since he tends to be rather earnest and authentic.

However, beneath his cheerful exterior, he has his own inner troubles. Around the start of the story, a dream show him feeling alone and craving emotional intimacy, but also seems afraid of being able to approach people for it. This appears to have been the result of the fallout between him and Envy. Regarding his faults, he is lackadaisical and even a bit naïve on certain matters. He has a bad tendency to stick his foot in his mouth and not consider the consequences of his words or choices. However, this behavior is not out of malice, but rather a sort of discomfort in confrontational situations (or at least those that can't be solved by fighting) and immaturity.

Apparently, Scott used to be a frequent drinker, even though he repeatedly says that he doesn't drink at all. He stopped drinking after his break-up with Envy Adams (thus, what Stephen Stills said about Scott having been drunk the night Envy broke up with him was true), after which he always denies his history as a drinker whenever it comes up. This is why everyone always says "Oh right" when Scott says he doesn't drink. While he does come to admit that he sometimes drinks after his development, he is never seen to be enjoying it.

Scott has a set of "moral high-grounds". One is that he doesn't like to (or see other people) smoke cigarettes. Aside from smoking being bad for your health, he considers smoking to be an act of "evil". The other moral high grounds is that does not like to hit girls. This was never explained why, though given how Scott went to a Catholic high school and having a younger sister, it's likely due to being raised by their parents in a certain way.

Backstory (SPOILERS): The Story of Scott Pilgrim (NOTE: He will stem from right after he first started falling in love with Ramona Flowers).

Combat
Abilities: Scott has a range of attacks at his disposal, such as:
  • Shoryuken: The Shoryuken is a move in which Scott uppercuts the opponent by jumping in the air. He uses during his fight against Matthew Patel.
Its name comes from a similar attack of the same name from the Street Fighter series
  • Air Juggle: The Air Juggle is a move executed mid-air by Scott where he continuously hits the opponent 64 times with a punch barrage then finishes by punching him to the ground. He combines this move with the Shoryuken to attack Matthew Patel. It is a reference to the aerial attacks seen in fighting games such as Super Smash Bros. and Marvel vs. Capcom.
  • Reversal: Reversal is a counter move in which Scott blocks the opponent's attack and then punches them with enough force to send him to the air. He uses it to counter Matthew Patel coming at full speed from the roof towards him.
Reversal is a standard counter attack that is seen in many fighting games.
  • Musical Shield: The Musical Shield is a force field that Scott and his friends conjure via singing and the power of the friendship, courage and whatever.
  • Yeti: The Yeti is a projection-like giant monster that is summoned from the distortion pedal of Scott's bass.
Strengths: Scott is a highly capable fighter, using various moves and techniques derived from various games, most noticeably from the Street Fighter series. Scott's fighting prowess is said to be incredible; according to Kim Pine, it is what earned him the title "the best fighter in the Province". He can employ incredible moves such as the Shoryuken and the Air Juggle. Scott has also shown the ability to level up. Doing so increases his stats and grants him a sword to use in combat. Scott is as skillful with swords as he is at hand-to-hand combat, due to him taking a longsword proficiency in Grade 5.

Scott appears to have some amount of absolute strength and durability, as he was able to destroy three robots without too much hassle and was able to survive powerful onslaughts from the Evil Exes, including being thrown into the side of Casa Loma by Lucas Lee, being thrown high into the atmosphere by Todd Ingram, and having a warehouse fall on him. He also possesses absolute speed as he could react, dodge, and even land a punch on a faster than the eye can see the opponent.

Weaknesses: His weaknesses seem to stem from his own flaws such as his naiveness or his lack of motivation at times. His doubts also can cause him to choke at times which can cause him to lose. He can also act rashly and thus can be beaten by stronger foes if he doesn't think accordingly.

  • Scott dislikes smoking and doesn't occasionally drink, the latter of which he tries to claim he doesn't despite other characters clearly knowing he has. This is why everyone always responds to this by saying "Oh, right".

Backstory:

Hope Cultivation Plan/Kamukura Izuru Project

The Reserve Course was a tuition school for Hope's Peak Academy. Unlike the Mine Course, which was scouted for exceptional talents, the Reserve Course only housed the talentless. The Reserve Course was secretly a funding project for illegal experimentation and the dropouts were utilized as lab rats. Their efforts were to create the Ultimate Hope, a genius who possessed all talents studies by Hope's Peak Acadamy.

How Kamukura came to be

Hinata Hajime, riddled with insecurity, attended the course in the hopes of being close to the school he idolized so much. During his time attending, he would be offered propositions to gain artificially made talent. Through the manipulation of Hope's Peak Academy's board members and Hinata's desire for talent, he accepts the project, unknowing the full extent of what the contract means. Hinata was forced to undergo a multitude of unethical neurological surgeries. Despite acting out and begging to stop the project, the surgeons and scientist would continue to take away his autonomy. Through psychological and physical modifications, they suppressed his memories and personality, including his cognitive and emotional functions. After the completion of the project, he was renamed 'Kamukura Izuru' based on the founder of Hope's Peak Academy.

Abilities/Powers:
Kamukura has every Ultimate talent artificially implemented into him, giving him a wide range of talents. Though we only see him use one at a time, fans theorize that he becomes overwhelmed when utilizing too many talents at once. He primarily uses the Ultimate Analyst.

He has advanced strength and speed. Kamukura however is rarely seen using these enhancements outside of self-defense, merely dodging attacks or strikes to put distance between him and his opponent. He also uses his strength to lash out in anger at Enoshima's creations during Ultra Despair Girls. Ripping out their hard drives.

Trivia:
-> One of my personal favorites from the Danganronpa franchise. Hinata Hajime and Kamukura Izuru Japanese voice actress, Minami Takayama, also voiced the main lead in the long running manga/anime series 'Detective Conan'. Because of the correlation, Hinata got a mini game in Super Danganronpa 2 known as 'Logic Dive' where he rides on a hover board similar to Conan's. This was an attempt to make him more 'detective like'.

-> He is my favorite character from the Danganronpa franchise. He is so interesting I wish they did more with him then make him a plot device.

Name: Lune de Borel
Nicknames/Aliases: N/A
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Undecided / Not interested
Pronouns: She/Her
Species: Half Miqo'te - Half Elezen
Fandom: Final Fantasy 14 (Oc)

Traits:
Personality: Lune while not the most sociable individual is a kind soul. Despite that, she is pragmatic much like her father and tends to approach things in a realistic manner to the best of her ability but her own emotions can get the better of her. She may not express her emotions much via words, but her actions and body language make things clear. It isn’t easy for her to hide her feelings and very often people can read her like a book in that regard. Her lying isn’t all too great either though she does have a bit of a flair for being feisty and sassy when pushed about her emotions. All this aside, Lune is an open individual, always trying to respect others despite who they are or what their beliefs may be. Living in a society which heavily frowns upon her mixed race, it makes her sensitive to such acts and she will not put up with it whether it be thrown at her or someone else. She does hold much anxiety over it and mixed with the pressures of her parents lofty positions, she struggles to have confidence in herself all the time. She fears she won’t live up to expectations though none of it is pushed by her family and is merely because of the people of Ishgard. Her parents are protective and supportive of her given how things are, which is overbearing at times, but allows her to grow. It does make her a bit spoiled and naive though she does not intend to be. Lune can be a bit of a smartass as well due to this which is only furthered by her natural observant nature which often gives her ammunition for such quips at others. Lune is also a curious soul and loves to explore and learn. While she does struggle, not being super intelligent, she does retain as much of what she learns as she can. One thing that does stick with her are grudges and it’s best not to get on her bad side, even if she tries to be an open minded individual

Brief Backstory: Lune was born a couple years after the end of the Dragonsong War, to Ishgard’s Lord Commander, Aymeric de Borel, and the Warrior of Light, Xylia Duskbloom, after the two had been wed. As a crossbreed, many looked down on her and often would frown upon her birth, often scolding her parents for her birth. Despite the negativity around her existence, there were plenty who welcomed her with open arms and showed compassion. As a child, she grew up a bit protected and often would spend time among her mother and father while they worked. Her father often brought her to the Congregation on slow days and would teach her of their homes history or on the rare occasion would take her around the city to let her get out. Her mother on the other hand, while a bit more hands off, she would let Lune be more free and learn things on her own. She would also take her out on “mini adventures” to give her a taste of what her own life was like before settling down. This caused Lune to have a natural curiosity towards the outside world. Often when her mother would travel she would beg to go with to escape the city walls. These adventures caused Lune to go off on her own in the city and explore though eventually it would get her caught by the wrong people who would have harmed her if her father’s personal knight hadn’t come in time to protect her. This led her to become somewhat fearful for her life and would make her wish to learn how to properly defend herself. Her parents refused to train her, though a close friend of her mother would secretly began to help her learn the axe and eventually her father would approve his knight, Lucia to teach her the sword, though she doesn’t wield one. She would also learn magic on her own upon stumbling one of her mother’s old tomes. While it wasn’t made for general magic she still made it work. Ever since then, she has worked on bettering herself even though there hasn’t been anything too drastic to happen in her life. She admittedly lives a pretty quiet life.

Combat:
Abilities/Powers:
  • Fire, Wind and Earth Magic - Using her tome, she is able to cast weak magic despite the tome being meant for summoning and not casting. These spells allow her to have range despite normally using a close ranged weapon
  • Enhanced hearing - Due to her larger ears, she has a heightened sense of hearing. It’s unsure but some suggest despite her ears looking Elezen, they could simply be hairless Miqo’te ears explaining her hearing even more
  • Fangs - Lune possesses sharp fangs that allow her to have much more dangerous bites if she decides to do such
  • Cat-like reflexes - As a Miqo’te, albeit only a half blood, Lune has many cat-like tendencies. She is very quick and nimble often being hard to catch. She has a habit of landing on her feet with ease as well
Weapons: Lune wields an axe which appears to be nearly too big for her size. She isn’t overly experienced in combat due to most of her practice being in controlled situations rather than actual combat. Her axe serves as her main weapon though she also carries a small magic tome in order to cast spells and give her range

Other:
-Has a resting bitch face almost always
-While she does use magic, it is nothing like that her mother uses
-Really loves omelettes especially when made by her father
-Soft spot for cute animals due to spending a lot of time around her mother’s Carbuncle
-Lune is very small due to her mixed blood, standing at 4'7. Given she hasn't hit adulthood, it is unknown if she'll have a typical Elezen growth spurt or not
-Has a bad habit of purring when happy
