Iyzebel, being flustered, took a moment before she stepped inside. Going to extreme efforts not to make sure contact with Lucien.

Alex followed her, levitating his way in with a slight grin, this was fun.


Lucien didn't even look at Alex yet, starting at Iyzebel, "Where have you been...?" He asked.

Iyzebel still evaded Lucien's eye contact, staring at the ground.


"Just out... On the streets," Iyzebel answered, flustered and with her arms full one of her feet started rubbing against the other nervously. As usually she had no shoes on.

"That so?" Alexio asked, leaning closer to Ruby until his face hit the side of the cage. "I'll admit that you're pretty, but that alone isn't enough to keep me here," he said with a smile.

"I think that cage is enough to keep you here. You hungry?" She asked, taking a bite of her apple she had gotten from her kitchen. "You should thank me really." She said smirking.

Lucien looked down and sighed, "what's wrong with your friend? And is he floating?" He asked after a moment.

"I think that cage is enough to keep you here. You hungry?" She asked, taking a bite of her apple she had gotten from her kitchen. "You should thank me really." She said smirking.

"I'm not hungry," Alexio replied. 'Yes I am.' "I mean, yeah, I'm a little hungry." He corrected himself. "But what makes you think I haven't escaped from a dog cage before?" Alexio asked, smirking.

"He burnt his feet bad, and yes..." Iyzebel answered.

Lucien sighed, "Alright, come here buddy, take a seat on the couch." Lucien said.


Alex shrugged and floated over, sitting himself down.


"Feet up on the table." Lucien ordered. Alex did do and Lucien wasted no time getting to work, moving his hands around his feet as they began glowing softly.

"I'm not hungry," Alexio replied. 'Yes I am.' "I mean, yeah, I'm a little hungry." He corrected himself. "But what makes you think I haven't escaped from a dog cage before?" Alexio asked, smirking.

Ruby shrugged. "I'm sure you've escaped worse. But you don't have anything you can do. Plus Im keeping an eye on you." She walked to the kitchen and came back with a peach. "Here." She said placing it right outside of his cage. "Anything else I can get you?" She asked.

Alexio thought about her question for a second. "Can I get a light?" He asked, holding out an unlit cigarette. 'You idiot. Why would she let you have a smoke? Because she's pretty and nice? Yeah, I thought so.'

Iyzebel stayed standing by the door, she watched him a moment but she glanced back down at the ground. Upset with herself, not knowing what else she could say at that point.

Alexio thought about her question for a second. "Can I get a light?" He asked, holding out an unlit cigarette. 'You idiot. Why would she let you have a smoke? Because she's pretty and nice? Yeah, I thought so.'

Ruby hesitated. She then nodded. "Sure." She left the room and came back with matches. She then held out her hand. "One for me too. Never had one." She said with a straight face.

Iyzebel stayed standing by the door, she watched him a moment but she glanced back down at the ground. Upset with herself, not knowing what else she could say at that point.

"Well, that's handled." Lucien said after a bit. Alex stood, staring at his feet in surprise.


"I've got shoes that you can have but none for you Iyzebel. We'll have to go to a neighbor's apartment and ask for a pair. I know just the girl. Names Ruby. I'll be right back. And no arguing. You cut your foot and you could get it infected." Lucien said firmly, walking to his room.


"So..." Alex started when he was gone, "Who's he?"

Iyzebel glanced up at Alex for just a moment, then back at the ground.


"My brother," she answered.

Alex was surprised at that, "Brother? That's a surprise, you two look nothing alike." Alex said.

"I was adopted," Iyzebel supplied, "a bit better he was born... They thought they couldn't have kids."

"That's a surprise." Alex said. He was about to say more before Lucien returned with a large pair of combat boots that he tossed to Alex.


"Put those on and follow us." He said, motioning for Iyzebel to follow him out the door.

Ruby hesitated. She then nodded. "Sure." She left the room and came back with matches. She then held out her hand. "One for me too. Never had one." She said with a straight face.

'I take it back. You're a genius, me.'


Alexio looked Ruby in the eyes for a moment, before grinning. "If you think you can handle it, little lady," he said, pulling out a second cigarette. "Don't choke on the smoke."

By that time Alex had the boots on and followed, "He's got A point. You need shoes." Alex said with a grin, grabbing her hand and pulling her along before she could reply.

Iyzebel reluctantly followed behind, to flustered to notice the fact that Alex was holding her hand. She just wasn't sure what to do our day at that point.

Lucien lead the two down the hall to Rubys room, knocking.


Alex was thinking hard, Ruby... seemed familiar.

Ruby lit a match and put the cigarette in her mouth. She began coughing hysterically. She then calmed down and looked at him. "Wow..." She said. "I think I'm more of a drinking type of girl..." She lit another match and held it up to Alexio's cigarette.

Alexio laughed at Ruby's coughing. "I thought I told you not to choke," he chuckled, before taking a puff from his own cigarette.
