You'll have twenty stat points to dispurse to your character.
strength How physically strong you are as well as how well your able to defend yourself
Dexterity how fast and agile you are. This includes stealth and dodging
Intelligence Your ability to use magic solve puzzles and craft items.
Constitution. Your health and resistance to status effects
Charisma: ability to charm other players/NPCs and lower prices at stalls
Luck: better chances at loot drops, crit ratio, and enemy attacks missing

at the first level you have the option of five classes. Once you reach level five more options open up depending on what class you choose. This happens again at Level 20 level 50 and level 75. If we get that far I'll include them.
For now Starter classes
Fighter uses Melee attacks +2 to strength
Acolyte Uses magic attacks +2 to intelligence
Healer use healing magic + 1 to Constitution +1 to intelligence
Bard uses music to charm and debuff enemies as well as buff Allies +2 to charisma
Rouge stays in the shadows dealing damage. +1 to Dexterity + 1 luck
For now Starter classes

As this progresses your character will gain abilties such as stealth, chain spells, Dragon slayer, Alert ect. For the most part you can make up what the ability is and it's effect as long as they aren't game breaking. The abilities level as you use them.
