An elf and one of the Irdonia's most trusted advisors prior to the Sundering, Lady Eirana has lived for hundreds of years, and many seek her wisdom and expertise. She is known for her magic and her ability to perceive future events, although these visions are typically somewhat vague flashes. This made her an invaluable advisor for many years. Some time before the Sundering she began receiving visions of the imminent apocalypse, although then she did not truly know what to make of it. She brought her concerns to the king, who was equally troubled and secretly began to prepare for the event. However, they were unable to prepare in time, but it was thanks to her that the king and the princess managed to escape with their lives at all.
Since then she had been vital to the allied armies' most crucial victories, being able to predict the outcome of battles and the best tactics. However, during the Battle of Flame, in which the allied armies made a final push to banish the demons once and for all, she made the first incorrect prediction of her life. She had foreseen the demons' great defeat. Instead, they counterattacked, and the allied armies were practically annihilated.
Struggling with the fact that her prediction was incorrect, she spent the next year after the defeat in deep depression, feeling that it was her mistake that had caused the deaths of thousands, and for the demons to be stronger than ever before. The king spent a good amount of effort telling her that it was not her fault. Her faith in her visions had been strained, too.
While on an expedition to an ancient ruin, she came across archives thousands of years old that told of a ritual that would summon great heroes in the world's time of need. She took it back to study them, and then received visions once again, this time of another great victory. She realised that the vision was actually the same as the one she had received prior to the one before the battle, and then made the connection that she was wrong. That vision did not tell of the allies' victory at the battle then, but their ultimate victory with the heroes leading the charge.
With her faith renewed she spent every minute of her day studying the archives, and finally managed to decipher it. Now this summoning ritual to defeat the demons may be their only hope.
