"I'm gonna go help him." She told her, ignoring the other questions and ran to get her boots on to head out to see him.

Jeff was sorting out the storage barn, getting things organised and smiled when she got there "Hey kiddo, you gonna give me a hand or just watch your old man work?" He chuckled some and kissed her head.

Carmen smiled some watching him, "So tomorrow, my plan is to go with you cause I need a couple more books then I'm gonna go get groceries and I've got a couple errands to run, no you can't come... Before you ask why, think about who's got their 36th birthday coming up in a couple weeks." She pointed out to him and winked.

Lana nodded and went over picking up a bucket and taking it to the donkey's to feed them "Daddy? You don't love Iris more than me right?" She asked raising an eyebrpw at him

Charlie chuckled a bit and rolled his eyes "Babe I don't need any kind of party okay? All I want is you and a night in the hot tub." He said smiling some at her as he played with her fingers

She rolled her eyes, "We aren't doing a party, god I learnt my lesson from last year." She muttered, "No we're just having a few people round for a bbq, tomorrow night as kind of a celebration then on your birthday it's you and me.... but I still gotta run a couple errands to do with it alright? So just relax, let me handle it." She smiled at him, "Have you always wanted kids?" She asked him.

Jeff frowned and leaned against the fence post, watching her for a minute "Now why would you think that pumpkin of course not." He told her, carefully lifting her to sit on the fence, "Your sister is just a baby Lana, she needs to be looked after more than you do sweetheart, she can't washa nd dress herself or feed herself.... but I love you both the same." He assured her, "How was school? I'm gonna bring her in tomorrow so you can show her off some okay?"

Lana listened to her dad and nodded some giving a heavy sigh "I know daddy....I love you too." She said smiling some "Oh I had a good day, kinda boring but my friends are excited to meet Iris." She explained smiling more at him. She had been more open with him lately than she had with Max and all she wanted right now was time with her dad

Charlie gave a small nod and chuckled lightly at her "Alright alright that sounds fine then." He said softly to her before he nodded again "Yeah....at first I was scared to have them when I was younger but I've known for a bit now that I want them."

She nodded some and smiled at him, "Oh, Eddie called yesterday, wants to get you a new publisher." She told him, "You should call him when I drop you off at home, I'm gonna take your car for the errands.... I told you when I picked you up from rehab... I like that car." She smiled at him some, looking to the waiter and ordered food with him before turning back to her husband and moving around to sit next to him in the booth, moving his hands to her still flat stomach, "There's a baby growing n there." She smiled excitedly.

Jeff nodded and kissed her head, hugging her tightly, "You know, when you were little you would fit right up by my shoulder... you used to fall asleep on me all the time, come on, let's go work out what we're gonna do for our dinner." He smiled and headed to the storage to tick off the list and then locked everything up, heading up to the house with her.

Charlie nodded some "Alright I'll do that." He murmured smiling as he rubbed soft circles on her stomach "Yeah there is huh?" He murmured softly before he kissed her gently "I love you babe." He murmured.

Max smiled some as the two of them came in "Hey there, I've gotten some possible choices for dinner out go pick." She said happily before turning her attention to Iris who was in her little bouncer amused hy the hanging toys

Jeff nodded some and nudged Lana over to go pick out dinner, collapsing onto the couch with a huff and taking his belt off, looking over at Max well and truly exhausted, "How's y other two girls doing?" He asked her, reaching for her to come closer.

She smiled leaning back and just enjoyed being out of the house with him for something non work related, soon as she dropped him off at home after lunch she headed off with Alice to go check out a horse she'd been told about. One that would be suitable for Charlie to ride. "Now, no telling him anything. He's already miserable about Herbie.... but I think if I surprise him with this one, if it's suitable... then it'll be good." She smiled some, parking at the yard and heading over to the office to check in

Max smiled and walked over to him wrapping her arms around his neck "WeXre good, just taking it easy for right nowm" she said happily before she kissed his lips gently "Why don't you go shower and we'll have dinner done when you get out." She said softly as she ran her hand over his stubbled face

Alice nodded and smiled happily at her "I'm sure he will love it, I did a lot of research into finding him." She explained happily as they checked in

He just nodded, pecking her lips and got up, a little slower than usual, to go take a shower and get himself in comfier clothes, trudging up the stairs one at a time and holding onto the rail.

Lana frowned as she watched him go, sitting at the kitchen table and getting some of her homework done quietly, not making any move to even look at her little sister while she was giggling and making funny noises in her rocker on the table, busy playing with her own feet and watching her mom, reaching over to her when she got impatient.

Carmen smiled and nodded some ... By the time they got back to the house, she'd put the deposit down and looked over all the contracts on the horse that would be arriving at their yard in a week, a youngster who would be around for, hopefully, the next twenty years at least. She headed inside to go see him, finding him, as always, holed up in his office, "Hey handsome... How'd your call with Eddie go?" She asked him, going to sit on his lap, slipping her arms aroud him.

Max watched him some and frowned softly but soon went on with making dinner cooing at Iris here and there before she looked at Lana "You need any help with homework?" She asked softly

Charlie looked at her and frowned some shaking his head a bit "Wants to go with new publisher when the other has done nothing to us. Just pissing me off." He murmured reaching for her to come sit on his lap "How you feeling?"

She smiled tiredly at him. “Well, he can only suggest.” She mumbled. “I think I’ve overdone it today, I’m not feeling so great.” She told him gently. “I got some work to finish for this signing tomorrow but then i think I’m going to bed, do what you like for dinner.” She muttered tiredly. “I love you.” She murmured, kissing his nose and yawned.

Jeff came down after his shower and lifted iris into his arms as he saw she was fussing in her rocker, bouncing her gently and keeping her close while he helped sort the table out for them to sit down and eat at.

Charlie gave a small nod and kissed her gently "Okay beautiful you rest up." He said softly smiling a bit at her as she left.

Max smiled happily at the two of them putting the food on plates for everyone before she sat down yawning some "Alright everyone, dig in." She said happily

Jeff smiled some, setting iris in her high chair while they ate, making funny faces at her. “Lana you got any homework?” Be asked, frowning when she gave him a dramatic sigh and glared at the table.

carmen nodded yawning some. She still had an all clear for the cancer but there had been lasting damage and she got worn out quicker than she used to. when she was tired her memory was a little fuzzy and she occasionally just straight up couldn’t get out of bed in the morning she had such little energy.

Max frowned softly before looking at Jeff "She finished it up while I was making dinner babe." She murmured softly before she started to eat her food smiling softly at her little family

Charlie finished up his work and dinner for the night giving a small sigh as he got to bed later that night cuddling her some. He worried about her a lot even without the cancer and now with a baby in the mix he really worried

Carmen curled in closer instinctively, mumbling in her sleep about puppies before settling again with her head nestled in next to his chest, managing for once to sleep all the way through to the morning, waking up to the sound of the quad bike going round the field, guessing Alice had swapped the routine for the day but she curled in close to Charlie while he stayed asleep and just pulled a book out to read.

He nodded, getting her and Iris to bed once they finished dinner, Lana still not talking to him at all for whatever secret reason she had and he was starting to get a little annoyed.

Max smiled softly as he came to bed shaking her head some "Come here handsome, its okay she is just going through something right now." She murmured pulling him to lay with her "Can I help you get your mind off things?"

Charlie grumbled in his sleep taking a deep breath before he finally woke up looking over at Carmen "Hey....good morning, how long have you been awake?" He asked quietly

He nodded some. “You can actually.... you got those magic hands working? Cause my back is all out of place.” He told her frowning some as he went to lay on the bed looking stiff as a board.

Carmen smiled some glancing over at him. “About ten minutes..... what time did you come to bed?” She asked him yawning some.

Max smiled softly and nodded some. She grabbed her lotion and oils out of her nightstand and started to work on his back as she straddled his waist "That feelin any better?" She asked working out a big knot on him

Charlie shrugged some "I think around eleven? Not very late." He murmured cuddling into her some more "I love you babe."

“Mmm, love you too... we got that appointment after the signings. Get double confirmation from the doctor about the baby.” She smiled some. “It jut.... it doesn’t feel real yet.” She murmured squeezing his hand gently.

He let out a rather loud groan of relief but a few times a grunt of pain where she was having to work them out really firmly. “Magic hands.” He mumbled happily, hissing as she got a sore spot though.

Charlie chuckled softly and nodded some "Yeah I completely understand." He said softly smiling happily as he rubbed circles on her stomach

Max smiled softly and gave a small sigh at his pained noises "Don't worry babe, its gettin better, the bigs ones are out." She murmured but gasped when she was pushed off of him and she heard Lana screaming

Jeff frowned, never having heard the door opening and he sat up looking over at Lana seeing she was hitting Max over and over so he grabbed her up and moved her onto the bed "Hey! Hey! What in the world do you think you are doing?!" He snapped at her, making her look at him "Lana Morgan!" He bellowed.

Carmen smiled some and curled in close to him, "You know.... you're allowed to enjoy this... You don't have to spend your time worrying about me." She murmured, recognising the look in his eyes right now

Lana started hitting Max hard and screaming before Jeff had taken her off. She looked at him sobbing starting to shake some "She was hurting you daddy! She is trying to take you away from me and kill you! Daddy she hates us! She wants it to jusr be her and Iris! She doesn't want me! You don't want me! You hate me just like my first mommy!" She sobbed shaking her head more as she continued to break down

Charlie smiled some at her "I am enjoying it babe, I just wanna make sure you're both okay." He said softly to her keeping close

"Uh huh... Cause those worry lines in your forehead are just from stressing over the plants getting watered right?" She murmured, placing her hand over his on her tummy, "We're going to be just fine alright?" She assured him, kissing his chin.

Jeff frowned at her outburst and just swallowed some. This wasn't right at all. It certainly wasn't a temper tantrum, "Lana, look at me, hey, look at me." He coaxed, crouching some to be at eye level with her, grabbing her hands to stop her from hitting him, "Mommy wasn't hurting me sweetheart, she was helping me get the knots out my back muscles... She wasn't hurting me. She does not hate us and I do not hate you. Lana no one hates you in this family do you hear me?" He said to her quietly, pulling her into his arms tightly, "Lana say sorry to your mother, that was so naughty and uncalled for." He scolded her but much more gently now and looked to Max worried sick about her

Lana whimpered some and she continued to cry holding him tightly "Iris hates me too....even if she is a baby...everyone hates me." She sobbed clutching him tightly

Max frowned and went over to them holding her hand some "Lana baby girl no one hates you okay? I promise that, and I promise I love you like you were my own daughter just like Iris." She whispered softly to her

Charlie gave a small sigh and kissing the top of her head gently "I'm just worried your body will give out because of the cancer....I love you babe."

She smiled tiredly at him "I'm sure they'll wanna do a c-section." She pointed out, wrapping her arms around him tighter and just watched him, "But we have nine months before we need to worry about that." She murmured smilng at him some, "We're both gonna be just fine." She promised him again.

He frowned rocking her gently "No sweetheart, look at me, nobody hates you, I don't know where you got this idea from but it's simply not true." He assured her, soothing her until she fell asleep and he looked over at Max, "I'm uh... I'm gonna go stay in her room with her tonight... First thing in the morning I'm gonna sort out taking her back to see a specialist." He mumbled, worried sick about her now
