Shiro slept rather peacefully atop the large beast known affectionately as Dog. Even as he made his way around the apartment building exploring the silver haired female was out like a light! It was pretty hard to wake Shiro normally, yet surprisingly she tended to wake up pretty easily if she sensed danger. Though which version of her woke up was in question, one could only hope that the Shiro part of Shiro was the one to wake up! Yet in that state it was more than likely not.

Regardless all throughout Dog's wild three mile adventure Shiro remained asleep save for shifting about here and there accompanied with a little incomprehensible mumbling.

Once her fluffy companion surfaced and plopped her and his new shiny treasures down on the ground she began to stir a bit. The stirring soon turned into giggling as the big boy started licking her face. "Hehehe...stop itt~" She spoke sweetly giving Dog's head a playful nudge. She pet him lovingly before yawning and stretching a little. "How Shiro get down here?" She asked looking around the basement pretty confused. She was positive she had been in her room when she fell asleep!

She blinked and rubbed her eyes a little followed by more yawning as she looked around. Eventually she saw the treasures Dog had dug up laid out before her and blinked in confusion. "Woah...this stuff is neat! How did Dog find it?" She asked, tilting her head in question as she examined it all. She did reach out to pet Dog a little too. She had no idea what to do with most of it but it was a pretty amazing feat. "Box seem weird." She spoke reaching to poke the whispering box gently, not exactly liking the whispering that came out of it. It was kinda scary! "Dog got a bone huh?" She gestured to the massive animal skull Dog had managed to dig up. "Dog hungry?"

It stood to reason that Dog was probably hungry if he went digging for a bone.

---------

Lucifer stood in attentive silence throughout his old friend and ally's speech, at first fully clear-minded but as she continued further his mind started to grow cloudly and for the first time in what seemed like an age - perhaps more. Lucifer was uncomfortable. What's more, he felt something welling up inside of him that he could not quite explain, and for once, Lucifer was left practically speechless. Usually, this is something that would never happen, not to him: the father of lies, prince of deceit and angel of the bottomless pits of paradise. Yet ever since his first encounter with Nacht, which he was able to remember all too well; he's found himself questioning just who he really was. A reflection that never occurred to him prior to then.

Her questions held few answers from Lucifer, even for one as all-knowing as he normally was these were things outside of even his wisdom. What was she anything more than a tool to him? Indeed, this was how he perceived the Judast Family, but Mian? It was not something he had really considered before: which might have been telling in itself if Mian were capable of reading his mind. His 'feelings', if that was something Lucifer was even capable of, have always been the one thing that eluded him. What he did know is that since he discovered Mian's existence, Lucifer felt an undeniable sense of destiny and it was this rare feeling which led him to find her in the first place. However, his heart was as fickle as the wind, and something he might have once cherished for years could be discarded and forgotten in a matter of seconds. One thing was certain, it was at Mian said, in all cases throughout the beginning of time in this realm the two of them had found themselves standing side by side.

"Is this something that has been on your mind for a while, Mian? Or did you just think of it?" he finally spoke with a light deflection of the questions proposed "I can't say, I may remember, I may not...But I will say this to you, whenever I think of my dream, I picture it with you there at my side. Or perhaps it is I that is by yours. So no, Mian, I do not think of you as a mere tool and even if I had the potential risk you could pose to me would have far outweighed your use as a tool. But if it is true that you have forgotten your true dream, then I would ask you to join mine: a dream of freedom from this prison that has contained us for so long." he finished and felt more exposed than he had in a long, long time.

A little thing? He was about to cut her off when a stray piece of metal landed in her shoulder. Well, at least now he could see it in action. Upon closer inspection, the dirt that was on her was mixed from her blood from the scrapes she incurred. As she yelled, staggered back, and yanked it out all in one - albeit, choppy - next moment, Raphael watched as it healed up, first the burned sections slowly, then the rest of it as she panted and rested on one knee.

He didn’t really care that she had to unbutton her shirt. She had to do what she had to do. The fact that the regeneration didn’t leave a scar had him raising an eyebrow. Huh, at least that made sense. He looked back at her face as she explained a bit of her history. He nodded. Although it was difficult to sympathize, he at least understood.

He chuckled at the record the morgue had on her and shook his head.
“Goodness. But you have never had such quick regeneration until then…? Hm, interesting…” He mused, his eyes going back to their surroundings and nodding. “We are in the neighborhood of your home, a few streets down. Lead the way.” He was only aware that gangs were here and he hoped that an exploding car didn’t cause any issues.

“I apologize back there.” He said as he started walking where he remembered the coordinates had shown. When he apologized, it sounded forced, as if it took more energy out of him to do so. “I didn’t think the virus the bots had literally transferred by touch. It’s like a common cold. I’ll have to radio this into my father, see what sense he can make of it. Until then, I’ll be getting your help with where I can with making their factories defenseless. That is, if you still want to help.” His tail twitched. He hoped she did. The falcon that was on his shoulder flew off and began to glide in the air several feet above them, keeping pace with their gait. “As for that festival, I will gladly take you there and show you around. This neighborhood is rather peaceful in comparison to the rest of Hell City. But even though I lived in a far safer and gated area of Hell City, that doesn’t mean I was safe. We still had break-ins from our technology and wealth despite our security.”

He remembered when those people had come in. Whether they were there for money or to kill his father, he was unsure. He clicked his tongue in disdain and shook his head. “Don’t let down your guard if you are to continue living here. And even if you wanted to leave, this city won’t let you.” He gave her an almost pained look before looking ahead.

Yona soon began leading the way once she figured out where she was. It was an unfamiliar part of the neighborhood since she never ventures down this way, but she did see some familiar buildings up ahead. It gave her a sense of security despite what Raphael said about letting down her guard. She never really let down her guard too much since she was always alert. But sometimes, she'd just let it down because there was no point if she can't even die. "I'll help out. Money's money and being able to obtain it while in the city works for me. It's better than waiting for a job offshore. Plus, even if the city would let me, the people outside won't. They want things under wraps." She said. "...Even now, they sometimes lurk around here checking if I'm still making this place my home. Not a lot of privacy but when was that ever new with them. Fuckin' CIA."

Once she gotten to the more familiar part of the neighborhood, you can see her lower her guard a bit as she wasn't looking around as much as she did before. She at least knew this part well, and the people in it. Here were just old people passing time waiting for company whether it be their children or death itself. Sometimes there was a small group of gangbangers making their routine patrol and checking if their turf was ever tinkered with. They saw Yona and Raphael but didn't pay much mind. Whether it wasn't worth their time or they knew Yona was up to Raphael's mind to make that conclusion. At least there wasn't going to be trouble from here on out if it's just the usual.

"They're good people actually. Sure, sometimes they need me to do some... Charity work but all in all, great company." She said bluntly. She then began to remember the pained look Raphael wore just a while ago and could guess what happened. A person whose father is definitely the top dog of a company with a whole lot of money and minerals to run a business is with her right now. She could definitely guess that there were those after their money or the head. It's just typical organization-type problems.

Eventually, they made it to Yona's apartment. It wasn't that impressive as it looked like any other apartment complex that weren't poor but weren't rich either. It was in the middle which made it feel like burglary was low considering that if they wanted to steal something, it wasn't going to be worth something breaching security for. Especially when it was a gang's turf war they were in and they're all in a ceasefire which turned into a balance and check situation.

She opened the door after unlocking it and walked right in. "Come in. Please do take off your shoes. There's some slippers on the rack over there." She said before taking off her shoes before putting on some house slippers. There was a shoe rack in the corner which had 2 extra pair of house slippers and some other pairs of footwear Yona had used. There were sneakers, athletic sandals and military boots. The flooring was made out of smooth wood and the inside of her apartment was fairly cleaned and organized. She had a small kitchen, a large space for the living room which she had put a bed against the wall sideways and a low table in the middle of the room on a soft rug. Across the room was a flat screen TV set on a drawer which seemed to hold her clothes. On the side, there was a small hallway leading to the laundry room, closet and bathroom. But all of that wasn't the main attraction to this place.

Yona went to her bed where a curtain was hung. It didn't seem like the window considering she had a balcony with a sliding glass door. She moved the curtain to reveal that part of the wall was removed to make room for a small armory for her weapons. It was like she made a small cabinet space in the wall without adding the doors. There were various rifles racked on the wall ranging from assault rifles to marksman rifles and a few snipers. There were also smaller firearms on the wall like submachine guns and pistols. Resting at the bottom of the wall were boxes of munitions. There was 7.62mm, 5.56mm, 9mm and .45 ACP. At least that's there was most of. The other rounds were just pushed off to the sides of the wall without much care and were closed up. It didn't seem like she used those types much.

She was going to go for a scoped marksman rifle, but she hesitated and instead went for something more reliable. She went for an assault rifle, the AK-12. She wanted stopping power but considering her first encounter with a rouge android was a little hectic, she needed something that could stop them dead in their tracks and she needed to lay down a lot of rounds. Speaking of stopping power, she went over to her bed and reached under it to pull out an M4 Benelli shotgun, a semi-auto shotgun. She laid them on the table and got to work with putting on some desired attachments that she was pulling from a box from under the table as well as loading bullets into the AK-12's magazines. She also got out a tactical rig as well. Usually, there would also be a bullet proof vest and helmet but where she was going, she didn't need such things. Realizing it was going to take her awhile, she looked over at Raphael and pointed to the kitchen where there was the fridge. Inside it wasn't going to be a lot, just some leftover takeout and some mango juice cartons. She clearly hasn't been to the grocery store in awhile. "Uh... Need anything to drink? It's going to take me a bit to set up."

A long silence followed Lucifer's response, tension hanging in the air like a thick and suffocating smog. Though as with all things, it eventually came to an end when Mian brought out her scythe, resting it on her shoulder while grasping it lazily with her left hand Mian turned and made her way for the office door. Opening it with a creak and pausing only momentarily to respond to Lucifers prior question "I will look after both Moloch and Judica. You need not ask me for such a thing, it is my own will to do so. Abdulla however... Well, since you'd bring harm to Moloch should she be injured... I will protect him... and your dream. Our dream. Though make no mistake, I'm. doing this for you two, to protect you both... not her. Oh, and Grim will very likely be bringing a few guests along with him. Do be sure to show them hospitality as the host." with that, the candles flickered back to life and Nacht had taken her leave.

interactions: Lady Pain ( Merciless Medic Merciless Medic ), Lucifer ( Sinny The Fool Sinny The Fool )

As ainto walked into the room for a quick minute just to be quickly introduced as Ms.Pains underling he noted from the corner of his eye that the demon woman was smirking at him trying to hide her wickedness from everyone else who resided inside the room. Truth be told, this woman was his own personal hell to deal with, she acted more of a teenage girl than anything else when it was just the two of them doing their usual business and providing for the Judast family.

Once Lady Pain was done talking to Mr.Lucifer she stepped out and Ainto followed right behind her as they begun to walk amongst the halls of the Judas family mansion, Messiah was amazed by the architecture of the mansion, though this was no surprise of the architecture. This quality was to be expected from Mr. Lucifer.

As the three walked through the halls his eyes roamed from the surrounding area to his higher upper, Lady Pain. He blinked slowly as he pondered the question she had just asked the two.

While I do want to deal with Jackie, I really don’t want to deal with him right now. That man’s a menace, and he can cause my alter to take control if I’m not careful.

In either case, we should get prepared before we leave. Do we need anything?

~~~
Messiah let out a sigh before looking down to think if they needed to grab anything on their way out, he couldn’t really think of anything and he let out a sigh before putting his free hand lazily into his pocket.
“Nope. Can’t think of anything that comes to mind much.~ Though, meeting Lucifer just now was pretty awkward, meeting someone whove you only heard about from others experiences and rumors of him. Though you being an embodiment probably requires you to be engaged with him and the family. Was it awkward when you first became an embodiment Ms. Pain?”
He said as he lifted an eyebrow following up his question as she turned around to look at him. He then pulled his hand out and grabbed the helmet with both hands as he put his helmet on, noticing that they were soon to leave the mansion.
His outfit was mostly black, his helmet perfectly matching the rest of his clothing mostly comprised of the colors of blacked and a mix of dark and lighter blue ultimately making a shady color of grey. His helmet had scratches and overall rough look to it, not only his helmet but whole outfit, you could easily tell that he was from the poorer districts of hell city.
Havoc
District 84 | Pyre's Base
These two together were...something else entirely. He wasn't exactly sure what to make of it but he found it...nice, somehow. Taking San's advice, Juan did shrink- but he also changed into a more humane form of less monstrous proportions. Specifically just a scaled version of his original self.
For the remainder of the train ride it was generally just Juan listening to any mild banter that might have occurred between San and Ciri. He didn't say much until at least an hour had passed, and for the most part he had mainly sat down, redressed- and watched images pass by as the train rocketed across the rails to its destination.
It was a two hour trip before he finally spoke up again, going into detail about where they were headed.
Pyre Base was in District 84, a place he had essentially grown up in and started the Pyre organization from the ground up there. District 84 was riddled with gangs, but most of them stayed clear of Pyre due to the fact they were the strongest group in the District. The details as to why didn't really needed saying so Juan didn't bother- what he needed the two to understand however was the reason they were going.
"I heard there's been some strange activity going on that some of my members got caught up in. I need to go investigate because if they are contacting me, then it means one of the other Sparks is either in need of support that I am the best to give, or that they need me bad because the situation has gotten out of hand. Otherwise they wouldn't have bothered notifying me about this. This, is your chance to hop off the train and leave once we get to 84." He explained to them calmly. "I know you're just tagging along because of your building- but like I promised" he said to Ciri, his lime green eyes directed her way, "I won't leave you hanging. Before I make my way to Pyre, I'll give you the directions to a guy I know in the city who has a team that can fix your place up for you in a couple hours, good as new- with stronger materials to make it less likely to suffer the same damages again without some serious heavy fights. That is the least I can do for pulling you along." He said to her.
Then turned to San. "You, on the otherhand are different. You expressed an interest in working for me. That offer still stands. I'd be happy to have you onboard. Both of you actually" he said to them in turn. "If you wanted" he leaned back into his seat. "So it's up to you two to decide now that we're here." The train passed through a tunnel and now road across a bridge of rails- in the distance the bridge extended into a large city in the overcast, where the station fed into.
It took only a few minutes for the train to come to a complete stop at the station. Where as soon as it did, the doors popped out and slid to the side for its passengers.
Juan rose, moving quickly. An urgent energy now in his steps.
Heading towards the station he moved to one of the security officers there that saw him approaching, hand on their gun, and from a distance he asked a simple question: "May I get a pen and a sticky note?"
The guard blinked. Nodded and passed him the items.
Writing an address down Juan made an immediate beeline for the exit.
"This" he held up the note, "is for the one I'll have guide you, if you choose to go find them now while I go attend to my business in Pyre. San, if you're coming, I want you to be prepared to fight. Ciri, if you want to come, you'll want to make sure you're ready to kill. I don't recall all the details, but I know whatever is happening is enough to call me back here." Of course there was no real guarantee she would just leave after coming all this way- but he still felt like giving her that option was the sensible thing to do at the very least.
With that said, Juan made a beeline towards the clubhouse's destination.
However he didn't need to go far- an agent of Pyre wearing the insignia on their jacket rushed over, stating they had a car waiting and available for Juan- but was not so keen on letting the weird wolf girl or the strange eared bunny maid into the car until Juan said it was fine.
Within a couple minutes they were at the clubhouse, multiple Pyre members walking around, acting like impromptu guards till they saw the Spark of Honor and gave him a crisp bow, heads bowed and eyes closed. None of which Juan acknowledged as he headed straight into the building.
"Baubel!" He called out. "Where are you! Come here and explain what is going on!"
She hugged him from behind, her arms soothingly wrapping around his chest from over his shoulders.
Chills were sent down Monty's spine and into the rest of his body. The sensation of Naomi's arms wrapping around him froze him like a statue as his heart began to beat harder & faster than ever before 'W-w-what is this feeling..? Who..' he slowly turned his head around to see the face of Naomi who thanked him for his rescue 'S-s-s-s-senpaii....!!!' his heart bounding out from his chest.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you, Monty!” She exclaimed and gleefully laughed, rubbing her face against the back of his neck as her antennae tickled him. “That was so COOL!” She grinned, and then her eyes widened.
"Hurh...Hurhurhurhur...I-I am..?" Monty spoke as if he were in a dream, his words were slurred and his eyes were in a daze as his heart melted and he mumbled to himself in bliss "S-senpai noticed me..." then blood started to trickle down from his nose.
“Oh, I need to show you the two I saved from the fog. Come here.” Practically dragging Monty by the wrist, she flew to where Katja and Esteriel were. “So, guys, this is Monty. He’s pretty chill.” She giggled at her pun and continued. “This lovely lady is Katja. She’s a nun-looking beauty with the ability to heal people when on holy grounds."
" It is nice to meet you Monty" Katja said her voice as sweet in tone as ever her caring nature coming through easily and the ugly bit of jealously rapidly fading from her mind as she tilted her head down in a slight bow to the man. It wasn't normal but it was just something she did kind of showing respect in a minor way. " Though I do not have the ability it is a gift from God that i heal people" She explained wanting to clarify it was not her in her mind that did it but another. " Thank you for dealing with the group, i do wish though violence had not been needed. Still I am thankful for you and Naomi with you you two i might have ended up forever lost here or captured by the fog"
Monty was yanked back by the wrist, skidding his feet across the floor he practically had to moonwalk part of the way to the two people Monty had saw Katja carrying earlier. Naomi introduced him to the two. The first was Katja, the nun who bowed her head slightly to him and he awkwardly nodded his head back with his nose still trickling blood "Don't sweat it, anyone that is cool with Na-n-nao..." he struggled to even say her name straight, and his nose situation was getting worse as he forced the name out "Naomi!...Is cool with Mr. Kool - that's me." he said jabbing his thumb into his chest proudly.
"Oh, and this is Esteriel. He came from the Sixty-Niners and is probably the only one that hasn’t lost his mind. But he’s cool and I know these two would help get Sass lots of money in exchange for a place to stay. They got the body types for it, but they are definitely gonna need some training. Um… I just realized, Esteriel, do you have a power?” She looked at Esteriel with a raised eyebrow, wondering if it had something to do with his eyes.
Esteriel was the last one to be introduced, and he gripped onto the end of Katja's habit with one while using the other to feel his way around. He tried to look up to face Monty and thank him personally, but instead, he found himself looking out into the empty space between him, Naomi & Katja "Thankyou for helping us..." he said tapping the tips of his fingers together nervously as he looked over towards Naomi's decision "My power?...I...Don't have any power...Not anymore at least - it is a long story..." he said with a grim expression. Monty was starting to act like his normal self again, putting one hand into the pocket of his winter jacket with the other taking out an already unwrapped and still ice-cold popsicle that he stuck in his mouth "Not anymore, huh? Well from taking a look at the of ya I can definitely see some 'sass' potential."
Just as Monty was beginning to size up the new potential recruits for the Sassy Party, the fog looming in the distance behind Monty started to spin and swirl up into the sky above the rooftops and forming the shape of arms, torso and a head with large glowing, violent pink eyes. Then from its large gaping mouth, the fog giant bellowed out with a feminine cry
“WHO WOULD DARE BRING HARM TO MY LITTLE DOVLINGS!?!”
The fog writhed and grew two giant arms on each of its sides to a total of four arms. The fog then rushed forwards striking Monty with its four arms in a vicious and passionate assault of flying fists. Each strike reverberated through Monty’s body, the impact sending a sickening thud noise out into the air with each hit, like striking thunder. As the onslaught continued the mist was unaware of the threat that had approached. "You, are you the one who dares to cloud my vision and invade my air." A deep, bitter, and somewhat melancholy voice called out from the mist that still surrounded them. "Insolent troublemakers like you should know better than to trouble their superiors." The voice warned as it got closer the sound of footsteps loud and imposing grew closer, but the mist creature seemed too frenzied to notice. "I suppose if you wish to be the air that I breathe I cannot fault you. However, I will not allow you to continue obstructing my sight. As desolate and hideous as this city can be none shall impede me from reaching my goal. Hmph, not that you could ever stop me." The voice seemed to be coming from everywhere now, the footsteps moving from all directions. "So be grateful, not everyone can say they had the pleasure of being inhaled by someone of my standing and so it shall be how you end." With this, the footsteps ceased, and after a few more moments of Monty being struck into the ground everything went silent before a massive inhale was heard and slowly but surely all the mist around them began to get sucked away to a single point behind Monty. It wasn't long before even the mist creature began to fight and wail in rebellion as it was pulled towards the source of this wind tunnel.
Monty pulled himself out of the crater of rubble, his clothes tattered and his body battered yet his expression remained the same. Rising up, dusting himself off and shaking his head while muttering to himself “T-that was…Not cool…” When he looked back up he saw that all the fog was now cleared and standing behind him almost a foot taller was a man with Golden spikey hair and the physic of a fighter, even though his clothes seemed to indicate a more refined gentleman. His chest was puffed out and he gulped a large lump moving down his throat as he consumed the odd mist. "That wasn't worth my time. I need to vent my disappointment on someone." Then the man turned to face the group, his gaze focusing on the moth girl. He approached his steps once more filling the air with a sense of dread. Every step closer seemed heavier and heavier….and then he began to walk past them, ignoring them entirely as he made his way towards some unseen target.
The remaining surviving heroes met their demise with nothing but horrified terror. Tinker and Nova both screamed and squealed in pain as O.V.R dispatched them both, and harvested their organs alive. Nova's deteriorated mental state left Mani weak, and as she lost consciousness Mani also began to fade away. As they were both pinned down and had their organs extracted while they were still alive they had no choice but to witness and feel every moment with petrifying horror. They both screamed until they no longer had a voice to scream with...Now the Heroes Guild was crippled, and the Master was still nowhere to be found - seen - or heard. The only one to witness this event was the hero 'Cyber-Warrior' Icarus. Who was to say at the very least, utterly mortified.
icon.jpg
Icarus stopped in the middle of the street, stopping pace and shakily dropping to his knees as he began to hyperventilate underneath his mask. He frantically swiped away the camera feed of HQ, retching under his mask before lifting it up slightly so that he could take in some deep breaths of fresh air.
"T-t-t-they...They are dead...All d-d-dead..." he said in disbelief and sat there on his knees for a moment in silence.
Icarus could hardly believe everything that was happening, after all their success, it only took one night for everything they had accomplished to crumble beneath them. He could hardly fathom how, and as the one who was tasked with supervising everything, he felt somewhat responsible. That was until he remembered who GAVE him the task to supervise, and the one who gave every hero their mission which ultimately proved to spell their doom. He started wondering how it was, that the Master who seemed to always know the right action to take as if he was some prophet or something would suddenly make so many mistakes at the same time. Could it be possible, that the Master somehow had some kind of hand in all of this?
The sick feeling in Icarus stomach only grew worse, and he couldn't stop himself from throwing up on the sidewalk.
Moloch took his dear sister Abollah on a stroll down through all the entertainment and festivities being set up for the night's big celebration. Stretching across Districts 555 to District 666, it was set up to be quite the spectacle to behold. Even though it was still morning, that did not stop the streets from being filled with denizens from all over Hell City who could not wait for darkness to fall and the festival to begin - so they began their own celebrations and parties that took place in all the alleyways and backstreets unused by the workers setting up for the alignment festival.
The sun was overheard, and Abollah's skin was sensitive so Moloch made sure she was given shade with a black umbrella sticking out from her chair while strolling her around to see all the sights. Moloch did love his sister, but he also couldn't help but feel a little frustrated that he was never given something more interesting to do than strolling Abollah from one place to the other.
It seemed Abollah was reading his mind, and she was in agreement for once. She too was sick of simply going from one place to another to watch things: she was desiring something more and she spoke to him telepathically. Though each word she spoke felt like daggers penetrating his brain: 'You will take me brother...Take me there...' her voice echoed in Moloch's mind and the image of an underground sewer burnt itself into his brain.
"Kyaa! Ouuwchie!" Moloch clasped his head and winced in pain "I'll do whatever you want sis! Just try not to talk so much yeah? I'll take you to where you want to go...It just so happens I've been thinking of visiting that place for a while now too."
Moloch spun Abollah's wheelchair around and picked up the pace by a lot. Instead of a casual stroll, he was at a virtual full sprint racing through the backstreets, turning into alleyways until they eventually found themselves at one of the many entrances scattered around all Hell City into the underground sewers, which were also the entryway into the underground labyrinthian that laid beneath the entire city and was like a world of its very own. A very volatile, dangerous and cruel world where the sun never shone: The Underneath. Nobody knows just how deep the Underneath runs, and it was a place that pretty much everyone with half a brain would stay away from as nothing good has ever come from that place, and it offers nothing of interest to the living or dead. It was a place to be feared, but of course, that is what made it all the more appealing to individuals like Moloch and Abollah.
The two descended down the stone steps leading into darkness, and Abollah screamed with glee. Her screams echoed through the sewers, and the sound of terrifying screeches echoed back to them that suddenly ceased and gave way to the sound of heavy footsteps...
While Moloch & Abollah were entertaining themselves and wasting time doing nothing useful. As always it was Judica who acted as the true face of the Judast Children. She spared no time in establishing herself as the new director of the Firelights organization, the secret force and information network of the Syndicate. After establishing herself as the new director, she would call for a meeting so that she could be filled in on everything that has happened in the city during her absence. She sat upon a large red cushion chair with all available Firelight members assembled in front of her, filling her in on all the nitty-gritty details while she listened intently in silence.
"And then you arrived madam. That is everything we currently have, I am afraid that you have returned at a rather inopportune time." a well-dressed man with dark-green eyes, long flowing white hair and a scar running down his left eye reported.
After everything was laid out on the table, Judica returned to sitting upright and took a moment to process everything as well as decide her next move. She couldn't help but feel like this was yet again another one of her father's tests, and she had no intentions of failing. She refused to show signs of weakness toward anybody much less her father. It seemed to her that her priorities for the time being should be addressing the situation with the Pantheon, but taking into consideration that the Heroes Guild was currently in a state of great weakness thanks to the Pantheon and one of their own assets known as 'O.V.R' she felt the best first course of action would be finishing the job and collect up whatever information O.V.R had acquired from its hunt.
"I want a recall on all on-field agents to reassemble back here by nightfall. I am sure you will be able to handle that, Mr. Man." she said in reference to the mysterious man with long flowing white hair who smiled and bowed his head before taking his leave while Judica continued to address the remaining agents "Half of you, go find O.V.R and collect whatever information from him that you can. The rest of you are going to escort me to the Junker District where the battle between the heroes and pantheon occurred."
Judica intended to find out what happened in the Junker District between the Pantheon and Heroes Guild, because while the Heroes Guild was crippled and this would be her best opportunity to put them out of their misery it was evident that the Pantheon was going to pose a more significant threat. After all, the Pantheon were ancient enemies of the Judast Family, and she had no doubts that their prolonged presence in Hell City would only bring about complications for the Syndicate. So with her escort of a dozen firelight agents, she was taken in a black limousine toward the Junker District. Or at least whatever remained of it after the explosion that occurred there last night.
Inside of the populated Pyre Base Babueles and Doby were sitting at opposing sides of a table surrounded by fresh-faced pyre members that leaned in on them with great interest as they regaled about their experience and escape from the 'Vanishing House'. Doby was the one doing most of the talking, while Babueles lounged across his couch with his feet kicked up onto the table.
"N' that's how we made it out!" Doby cried out triumphantly with a drink on his hand, and the others cheered with him.
That is when Juan arrived through the door.
"Baubel!" He called out. "Where are you! Come here and explain what is going on!"
Babueles ears twitched and jolted upright to his feet and turned his head toward Juan, returning his greeting with a genuine smile from Babueles, who beckoned him to join the table he was at. He also noticed that Juan had company, but for the time being, he ignored that and instead addressed Juan and his question directly "Y'know the usual, people getting too drunk - carniverous houses appearing and disappearing into thin air..." he said with thick slather of sarcasm before contiuing with a more serious demeanour "It appeared sometime in the early morning, and it managed to get me and unfortunate-looking fellow here snatched up into it. Turns out the house isn't just a house, but some kind of living thing. Honestly it was a bit of a wuss, I don't think it's ever had anyone fight back against it before. Other than that, he also had business with us. Says he brings a contract offer from the Heroes Guild." Babueles pointed toward Doby, who perked up and approached Juan with a hand extended out "Name's Doby, Doby Clause. Pleasure to meet ya mate!"
Well, wasn’t Ciri just a ball of positivity?
San didn’t understand where it all came from. Survival? Just easier on her sanity? Maybe. San knew her own overly cautious and neurotic behavior was straining on the mind and there have been a few too many times where she lost her mind briefly, only to become painfully lucid to her life and bad habits soon after, then be overtaken with the need to survive.
It was kind of cute to see her look so… Horrified? What was that face? Either way, she looked like she had asked for nuclear codes or something, but she got candy from it. Her ears fell back as her tail wagged slightly, a soft smile on her face. “Thanks…” She quietly said, as she grabbed out several pieces for herself and popped some chocolate in her mouth.
She was glad Juan took her advice as well and shrunk to a more manageable size. It didn’t stop the staring, but it did stop him from further embarrassing himself if someone had to step over him or bumped into him. San was only silent if Ciri didn’t want to talk or say anything. She kept herself from saying much about herself during this interim, but she did make some attempt at trying to be funny at a few points, but also finding it rather awkward in doing so.
It was only until a couple hours in when Juan spoke of where they were heading. District 84, where Pyre was located.
San didn’t know much about Pyre. She didn’t trust media sources, as they twisted what most things were about. Pyre apparently was a super-gang group. Strong. Dangerous. Juan alluded to such. He mainly spoke of a potential problem in Pyre. Something San could possibly help with. He talked about Sparks. What are Sparks? It seemed to be a social standing, like they were in some kind of hierarchy. Were they the strongest? Did they embody anything? Or were they just generals in a sense?
He told Ciri she could hop off and find someone to fix her place. While San was a bit upset that they’d be parting ways, San’s place was by Juan’s side for now. Unless he did something that put her smidgen of trust in him in jeopardy. When he offered the chance to let Ciri join, San felt a bit better. Her ears stopped twisting this way and that and focused on Juan, her mind trying to piece together what she should do. Should she really join Pyre?
When the train stopped, San matched Juan’s speed, making sure Ciri was close by unless she needed to leave. Juan gave Ciri a sticky note with the address she’ll need to find the guy to fix her shop. Meanwhile, San was told to get ready for a fight. A distant crackle of electricity confirmed that for him. “I’m always ready for a fight.” She muttered, before quickly following after him, her amber eyes looking for any danger that may befall them.
That was when they were accompanied by a Pyre agent with a car. San wasn’t keen on leaving Juan’s side, so would wait for his approval to enter the car, making sure to be on her best behavior.
Once they arrived at the clubhouse, she saw how the guards bowed for him. Bowed. Who was he?
Doubts began to surface. How important was he? Could she trust him? He was looking for a man called Baubel. Her ears had caught onto a story before they had even arrived, hearing something about some Vanishing House. There was a rat man here, and his mug was familiar to her.
Baubeles was not, however. She kept close to Juan, staying by his side as her ears were perked up and facing the two with utmost caution. When Babueles introduced Doby, and Doby greeted them, San realized she had seen him before. Ah, the Heroes Guild. Interesting.
Baubeles said something about how they were caught in a house that vanished and was actually living. It was like it came straight from a storybook. However, she didn’t seem at all surprised. A lot of things happened in Hell City, she was pretty used to the wacky and the strange. This was just one of those things.
Ignoring that he was only talking to Juan, she interjected to introduce herself, tone strained and quick. “San Inazuma. Contracted merc working for Havoc. Do you know where it appeared and where it dropped you off? Unless its reappearance is random…” She mused to herself at the end. She wanted to try and find this house now. If the house could be destroyed, or beaten from the inside, it wouldn’t take much for her to destroy it.
She just needed to make sure she had the candy and batteries for it.
Raphael was both surprised and intrigued. The CIA in Hell City? Must be some tough blokes. He chuckled, a wry smirk on his face. It was likely the people in this ‘CIA’ have more corrupt people than he thought if they were here in Hell City.
However, as he followed closely, he saw kids and old people. What? They were just playing out in the street! Weren’t they aware that could get them killed? Taken away? The lack of awareness or care they seemed to emit only had Raphael wonder. Was it really safe here? He grew up never being safe. Never feeling safe. That everyone was out to get anyone to make themselves better. Some gang members passed them by, but Raphael didn’t mind them. He didn’t feel like he was going to die from them or that they were any threat.
Maybe that’s why…
Hm, interesting.
Good people, she said. Huh, when was anyone ‘good’ in this godforsaken city? This country as it stood.
As he entered her home, he paused for a moment to consider taking off his shoes. Did he really have to? Sighing, he did, setting them aside somewhere. It wasn’t really practical, especially if they had to run outside or prevent danger, but he would respect her wishes. Until it was time to rub it in her face that maybe having house etiquette wasn’t a good idea in a place like this.
He put on some slippers and looked around the place. She had an interesting assortment of footwear, and her house was alright. It wasn’t really up to his tastes, but he was more used to the rich side of living. At least she was clean. He watched her pull away a curtain to access an armory. An armory. Hidden by a curtain.
He wanted to scream at how unsafe that was.
He bit his tongue, knowing that if he was rude, he’d lose out on help. And he didn’t like to admit it, but he needed the help. Still, she had quite the collection. He watched her set things on the table, resting against his cane. His falcon tilted his head at the guns she set on the table, his eyes inspecting them as if committing them to memory.
As Raphael pet Tenzin on his chest, he sighed as she told him to help himself in the kitchen. “Alrighty. Though… Hiding your armory with a curtain screams unsafe. You never had anyone steal any of your weapons? You have enough to arm a whole gang of hoodlums.” He commented, before going to the kitchen and looking in the fridge.
Ah, she needed more groceries, too.
He swore, if he had to go on a grocery trip with her, too. He found himself rolling his eyes and suddenly finding Yona extremely boring. He took the mango juice and claimed it as his as he drank straight from the carton. Manners be damned. He was never one to continue the game of etiquette. He was a bad guy after all, why hide the rest of him?
At least he took off his shoes.
He decided to stop himself from further critiquing how she lived her life and went on to something else. To which, he sat down on one of her chairs and rested his feet on another chair, crossing his ankles and resting lazily against the chair sat in. Tenzin rested against his forearm that laid on an armrest. “You really are safe here, hm? I find that hard to believe. No place is safe in Hell City for long. How certain are you about how long this peace will last in this sector?” He took a swig of the mango juice carton. “In fact, how safe can you stay if the ‘CIA’ is watching you? Ever wonder how corrupt people have to be to move here and think that living here is okay? Well, barring a few, like yourself.” He sighed.
“Not even mentioning that people can’t leave Hell City. Well, they can, it’s just a bitch to do so.”
After successfully collecting the organs of both Tinker and Nova, he had the other two to look for.
He crawled over to where he saw them crawl into - a ventilation duct. After some careful consideration, he decided it was best to leave. Besides, he still had that one elusive hero to find before he was hacked. Standing up, he left the trashed room. He continued deeper into the HQ, looking for one of their debriefing rooms or really, just about anything that could lead him to the “resting space” of their “Master”.
However, after some searching, he came up with nothing. No matter.
Leaving Jolle and Koala-han alive, he left the base and left District 35, avoiding falling fridges and the newly-made monoliths from a bygone era. His travels didn’t stop until he had fully left the district’s time distortion.
Once he did however, he went back on the lookout for Icarus. His cells were full though. He needed money. He decided to call in one of his contacts to sell to the black market stores, meeting them at District 17 in order to do so.
So that’s where he’ll go.
Naomi could feel Monty’s heart beating out of his chest when she hugged him. She didn’t notice the blood leaking out of his nose until introductions were well under way, however. Still, he was just so cute.
Naomi couldn’t help but feel Katja looked a bit jealous when she pulled Monty towards the two to introduce each other. Did she now? She looked at the nun, almost disappointed, but that didn’t matter. Katja would soon learn! She was at least glad that Katja introduced herself and even explained her power. Still going with the whole ‘gift from God’ stuff though? Maybe she wasn’t telling a lie. She didn’t seem like the type. She also sounded a lot like a pacifist. Naomi wondered how a girl like her even survived out in Hell City for so long.
It was only when Monty tried to say her name did she realize how enamored he was with her. She looked up at him and finally noticed that bleeding nose. Eyes widening, she attempted to find something on her that could prevent his nose from bleeding or at least soak up the blood as he spoke to Esteriel. Which she was paying some attention to. Something about how he didn’t have any power anymore. Interesting.
However, something screeched above them and she yelped, bouncing back and putting her arms out to shield Katja and Esteriel from the fog monster-... Lady? Then it began to beat up Monty!
Then she heard a monologue. She was so confused. Why a monologue? Especially now when her dear Monty was being beaten?! She watched as a man inhaled this lady fog and… She guessed he killed it? She didn’t know how, but she was glad for it. Even Monty was still alive. She looked up at the man, who said he needed to vent his disappointment on someone.
Oh no…
She stood stiff, not making eye contact until he passed them entirely. Sighing, she ignored him all the same, not wanting to be the target of whatever that was. She quietly tip-toed her way over to Monty, grabbing a hold of his arm as she looked him over. “Oh my, are you okay?” She asked quietly, grabbing bits of her fluff to dab at his blood to clean him up. If he were to bleed out of his nose again, she’d just stuff some fluff up there, completely failing to realize he would just sneeze from it all.
Looking around, she motioned for Katja and Esteriel, her moths coming out of her fluff to encircle them and almost act as a pushing force for them to follow her. “Come on, we should get to Sass’ place.” Her eyes were back on the gentleman who saved them, but she dared not utter a word of thanks. She didn’t know who he was and - if Sass ever taught her anything - it was always good to just stay away from people who wanted to channel their disappointment on others by hurting them.
She just hoped Katja or Esteriel didn't try saying thank you. Not to be rude, but she didn't want to be the focus of whatever pain he looked to dish out.
Ainto spoke up, saying he didn’t have much. She nodded at his assumption that being an Embodiment required her to engage plenty with him. She just shrugged at his question. “Mm, not really. I felt like I was home. Like where I belonged. He made the Embodiments. It would be odd to feel awkward within the presence of your maker.”
Lady Pain sighed at Moses’ insistence of his lack of self-worth. Really? Sighing, she patted him on the shoulder, shaking her head. “Lucifer still needs you, my dear. Your nihilism - while it does fuel me - it does make me feel I should pity you. Chin up.” She said, before setting her sights on District 77: Joker’s Lot.
“Well, we should probably head to District 77 before we do anything else. We have teleportation ports to get there pretty quickly.” And with that, she made headway before realizing Ainto had a motorcycle. “Weeellll… Maybe it’s best to get a ride, hm?” She gave Ainto a teasing grin.
“Ainto hun, do you have a sidecar available for dear Moses?” She asked, half flirting and half being serious. “We’ll need the vehicle to head to a port, so we may teleport directly into Joker’s Lot.” Her deep amethyst eyes seemed to bore through Ainto, wanting to make him feel all kinds of uncomfortable before he got his motorbike.
“Not even mentioning that people can’t leave Hell City. Well, they can, it’s just a bitch to do so.”
As Yona was listening to Raphael critiquing her decisions, she contemplated on weaponry to bring. Instead of an AK-12, she actually started over and got an M4A1. Classic choice in assault rifles, but it was chambered in .458 SOCOM. Supposedly, it punches bigger holes. She began reworking her attachments onto it to her likings. At first, she ignored the curtain comment, but started to give a shit when he was talking about safety. She paused a little before she continued working on her rifle. She spoke calmly, almost apathetically. "You're right. It's not really safe here. And this peace? It'll maintain for now. As to why..."
She turned away from her gun and looked at Raphael, staring into his eyes. She looked dead. Done with what life had to offer her. Anything nice gift it had in mind was in no way arriving in front of her. "It's really because I'm here." She said before turning back to her weapon, setting it on the table when it was completed. She stood up and decided that the shotgun was not needed and put it back under her bed. She started setting up her rig so she can hold the magazines in. She only needed six of them and it would be enough. As she continued preparation, she continued to speak. "There used to be four gangs in this neighborhood. They caused all sorts of havoc and misery. Extortion, kidnapping, murder... basic shit. One time one of them even stole my entire armory." She said. "They even killed me so they could get away free."
She then finished setting it up and set it on the table. She then walked over to Raphael with a sort of dull but daring look in her eyes. She straddled him over his lap, sitting herself upon it. Before he could do anything, she put her hands on his both his arms, gently gripping them to ensure them in place. "The funny part of it, was that I was killed. But that doesn't mean I stay dead."
Her grip became a little stronger, almost as if her inner self was coming out. "Remember? I can't fucking die. No matter how many times I try, no matter how many anybody else tries, I won't truly die. So I hunted them down and made an example out of them, dying multiple times in the process all out of pure spite. In the end, the entire neighborhood would know the ending of an entire gang in a week. And the ones who are still around now know why." She continued. "They never forgot since then. Knowing who I am and what I am capable of, they understood I can do the same fucking thing to them and there won't be a God damn thing they can do to really stop me."
She soon grinned as she moved a hand to brush some of Raphael's hair back. "As for the CIA? They're just there to make sure I stay in this country, never to return. That was the goal initially. Turns out, they were expendables who did a poor job with their tasks and was casted away with the excuse of me being their mission. That mission is just to distract themselves of the horror that they're stuck here with me."
She eventually moved and got off of Raphael before yawning a little. Her tone soon changed to her usual with what Raphael was probably more familiar with. So was her behavior. "So now I'm just their standard of order. They treat me like some kind of monster. Like children to a nightmare story mommy tells them so that they behave. They check on each other to be within their limits to try and catch each other lacking, and then take my side if I just felt cute and thought committing a couple of felonies would be fun." She said casually before she put it all in a duffel bag and zipped it closed. "But if you'd like to tell me my lifestyle's still bland, go ahead. I just think I have a shit ton of freedom than I should be having."
A lot was happing there and yet one odd thing stuck out Monty had called Naomi something rather odd. Senpai that was one of those anime words from Mangas Katja sometime got and she got that it was something for school or higher workers so was Month with Sass? That didn't really seem likely to Katja as well he struck her as being someone in Naomi's line as work as Katja would strike others as being in said line of work. Was he a weeaboo? Katja had half heard of those people who idealized Japan which was to Katja rather odd. Well she wasn't going to judge Monty for enjoying things from another nation. Monty calling himself Mr.Cool also didn't strike Katja as the right thing to say, clumsy was more accurate from what she had seen, though he might only be that way around Naomi. Katja herself could have ended up like that if she got unlucky, but over all she felt rather calm around Naomi aside from when they had first spoken. Well she had started off like Monty but now she was far more calm.
" One thing I'm not a nun, doping so is a long process and i have never been to college nor have i taken the vows" Katja said as she was being referred to as a nun and not for the first time, she really needed to fix that she wasn't sure why everyone thought she was a nun.
That was moments before the fog came alive and started screaming and attacked the only person here that could actually attack it back, Mony, and it got him good. Katja gasped as it seemed to easily take down their only defender and a pang of guilt hit her as she could not heal Monty assuming the lived. Katja didn't know if there was any other holy ground in hell city, but she suspected it. A church could be abandoned and even defaced but God would not abandon it. She did not even really believe one could be defiled God was greater than any force and so should one call upon God even in a place seemingly made unholy she believed God would respond. That wasn't the only shock as then a man a giant walked out of nowhere and breathed the fog in destroying it with ease. Despite what the fog had done Katja did not like that it had died it had been alive, yet she knew it was the only solution. There was a tense moment before the giant just kind of walked off and Katja not wanting to upset him just let him go he clearly saw this as nothing special so a thank you could wait till hopefully he was in a better mood.
Katja moved over to where Naomi had gone, the hole Monty had been punched into and was worried for a moment, but he seemed okay. Well as okay as someone in his situation could be as he wasn't dead and honestly seemed okay. Then the moths came and Kataj was pushed after Naomi " Umm if Monty is hurt and there is a church i could help him" Katja offered for once disliking how limited her range was, but God had given it to her for a reason so she did not let herself dislike the limitation for more than a moment.
After the failed invasion of Sass Palace, the Creed Twins, or rather Tom and Valiant as Valiant were merely using the body of James. The difference in age was immediately apparent between them because while James would have remained quiet about James terrible decision-making, Valiant spent almost the entire trip lecturing Tom on all of his mistakes and Tom was given no room to defend himself. Instead, he hung his head low in shame, and with more than a few missing teeth, he pointed the way they needed to go.
They would end up somewhere in the southern outskirts of Hell City, the black oceans surrounding the landmass of Hell City coming into view as they landed in some rundown, abandoned district that was seemingly devoid of any life other than scurrying rats and creepy crawly insects. Then Tom would lead them down into an underground passage, delving into a giant chamber almost the size of the district itself. Around the chamber were several open doorways leading into other sections of the underground facility, but at the centre of this chamber was a concrete throne - and sitting in it was a figure shrouded by the surrounding darkness.
Lillam Willick, the Timeless Magician and the "Master" Hero!
But as Valiant and Tom stepped into the confines of the chamber, the entire place lit up; revealing the figure sitting on the throne, he sat there alone as if he had already been expecting their arrival. A man who stood at roughly 6ft tall, and appeared far more youthful than Valiant had expected. He also felt deceived somehow as he could sense within the man a level of experience one does not usually possess in such a short lifespan.
4b21d5490e762db9a7b297369a9aaa90.jpg
Valiant stepped forward, and he met the man eye to eye - sensing instantly that there was something wrong with this individual. He went to speak but before he could, the man sitting on the throne stood up and finished Valiant's thought for him.
"Stay your blade, for now, Valiant - or should I call you by your true name, Tianlong?" the man spoke with a certain sense of grandiose in every word.
These words seemed to at least catch the interest of Valiant, who appeared to be content to continue listening for the time being while Tom stood silently behind him attempting to make as little presence as possible.
"This is a moment I have waited for a long time, Tianlong. I understand that you must have questions, and I will answer them all. I do this, because even while I already know how this ends - I still hold the slightest slither of hope that if I explain myself. Then perhaps you could understand my reasoning. I know that I may look young, but I have been around for a long time. Maybe not as long as you, but I also know much about you Tianlong. I think it is time to officially introduce myself if you had not guessed already: I am the one people call the 'Master'. Though if you do not mind, in my presence I preferred to be called by my proper name and title: Lillam Willick, the Timeless Magician!" he cried grandiosely with a flashy bow...
"Now that is out of the way, it is time to address the reason you sought me out in the first place. I can tell upon your face that things have not gone pleasantly for you, and I must sadly admit that I am at least partially responsible for your troubles. If it is of any recompense, you end up faring much better than the rest." he spoke deliberately in future tense "The Heroes Guild. I may be called the Master, but it was actually MY Master who set me on this path. In fact, just as much as all of this is my fault it is more his - because he knew that this was all going to happen, and yet he let it.
I have devoted my life to my Master, he came to me as a child, and he gave me not just youth but a grand purpose. I will never forgive him for that. He gave me purpose but also cursed me. Cursed me to make an impossible choice. I had the decision to make, Tianlong, much like the one you were faced with in life and I'm afraid I did not have the resilience to follow through. I cannot sacrifice my friend, and I cannot sacrifice my son. I mourn for every loss, but it was either them, Valiant. Or it was those two I love most. Can you tell me that you would not have done the same in my shoes?"
Silence fell between the Heroes Guild's number-one hero and the elusive Master.
Valiant found himself curious about many things that the man said, yet even though there was a part of him that wanted to find out more, there was another part that told him to strike this man down where he stood. His hand moved slowly over toward the grip of his vessel, speaking as he did so "You have thought much about this it seems..." his fingers wrapped around the handle and he drew it to his side, activating the vessel and transforming it into a handheld lance "I pity you, yet another lamb has been stolen away by the wolf pack. It would be best for me to put you down now before you lead more of your lambs astray."
Lillam sighed in disappointment as Valiant suddenly appeared in front of him, crouched down low with the point of his vessel thrusting toward Lillam's eyes. In that same moment, Lillam suddenly vanished from the seat of his stone throne and appeared standing atop it with his right palm resting under the chin of his smug grin. Lillam leered down at him with an amused expression "Oh I know, I know...That is why I chose you." Lillam said while rising up his hand. The space around it began to distort and twist, and from the centre of that distortion appeared an engraved bone horn "But I have one last confession, dear Valiant." again Lillam vanished from the top of his throne and now he appeared back near the entrance to his underground hideaway, sounding the horn between his lips which roared and the room shook with its call "You are not my number one hero."
Alistair nodded slightly, "Mmn...I certainly can't promise they'll be willing to help without meeting you in person. But...I'll certainly do my best." He replied. After all, the man could be quite...persuasive. He didn't have his status and more or less freely operate as he did amongst Hell City's various factions without having some way of ensuring people didn't screw him over or otherwise try to blackmail him. Yet in a situation such as this he did have to be careful that his contacts didn't try to take advantage of the situation. A perplexing predicament indeed yet he welcomed the challenged. He arched a brow as Icarus more or less assured mutual destruction should Alistair cross him. A chuckle escaped the mans lips. He had to admit, he liked the boy's spirit. He could tell that it might not be a waste of his time or money helping him if that fire he was displaying wasn't merely for show.
Alistair remained silent as Icarus rummaged around and prepared to leave. He gazed down at the device that was placed in his hand and after learning what it was he pocketed it. "Does it particularly matter where I store it so long as it's on me?" He questioned. If it turned out to be easier he would likely get a small modification to one of his augments to allow it to be more easily carried. After all, he'd prefer it not fall out of his pocket and have Icarus accusing him of ditching it. He did, however, decide to follow after Icarus. Less to protect his investment and more because he currently had absolutely nothing better to do with his time. That...and he was admittedly quite curious about the current crisis he was having to deal with as well as what relation it had to the deal they just made.
If everything's already gone tits up he may as well simply back out of the offer now, hadn't he? He watched the boy suddenly looking around frantically soon enough as if he was witnessing something truly horrific. Alistair's pace increased to match Icarus' yet he didn't question the urgency despite the curiosity. As Icarus' panic'd gait suddenly came to a halt and he instead went into a full blown panic-attack like state including dropping to his knees Alistair arched a brow. "Who is?" He asked as it was revealed 'they' were all dead. Watching in silence as Icarus folded in on himself mentally and soon began vomiting on the street Alistair sighed heavily.
"I assume this negatively effects our arrangement in some way?" If 'they' happened to be the organization that Icarus was working with...Alistair was almost certain this would only make things that much more difficult. If not even needless.
The sound of the horn reverberated through the room filling it with an odd sense of power, and ominous energy spread from the end of the horn in waves. Before anyone could stop it a large gateway opened on the wall beside them revealing a paradise filled with lush green foliage, frolicking creatures of all sorts, and such stunning sights that one might be tempted to never leave if they were to gaze upon it for long. However, at the center of this gateway, a small caped figure stood, no more than a boy and he was anything but threatening in aura. His big dulled eyes stared into Valiant’s soul seemingly looking for answers, and then he seemed to find them as he suddenly vanished. The world turned upside down for Valiant as he was unceremoniously kicked in the chin being sent flying in circles before landing once more on the ground. ”So..this guy right?” He asked, pointing towards Valiant and looking towards the Master “It sure is, my dear Hiro. This is Valiant, he came here with that other boy you see there to take my head.” Hiro blinked his Melancholy expression showing no emotion as he turned his attention to the two heroes. ”Is this true? Do you intend to kill M?” Valiant stood with a slightly confused expression as he looked upon Hiro, in his mind he was wondering just how so much power could fit into such a small body, especially considering that the body he was now using was incapable of holding his. It was concerning for Valiant, but his focus remained on putting right what was wronged “Yes, boy. I intend to kill the Master. My quarrel is not with you, I can see you are not dark of heart so do not interfere child. I do not wish to stain my hands with the blood of the innocent.” he said while getting back up to his feet. The boy seemed unfazed by Valiants threat, surely he could sense the power Valiant gave off? Surely he knew he couldn’t do Valiant any harm? But rather than turn away and preserve his own life he just seemed to nod as if coming to some sort of understanding with himself, ”Oh, ok then that makes you the bad guy, alright guess It’s finally my time.” The boy pulled his left arm from behind his cape, Valiant suddenly realizing he had been covering it the whole time. Now he proudly revealed it showing an odd-bladed gauntlet, but it somehow seemed alive. Valiant could feel life running through it, and hear the rush of blood flowing into it as the boy stretched the odd limb. ”Oook. It’s Hiro time!” The boy said with his odd melancholy tone of speaking before vanishing only to appear once more in front of Valiant thrusting his strange arm into his gut at max force. The field that protected Valiant bent around his stomach and Valiant’s eyes opened wide, but he was also quick to react by heating up the tip of his lance and bringing it down on Hiro. The lance came mere inches from striking the boy but he casually sidestepped it using his right foot he leaped into the air and circle-kicked Valiant in the side of his head the force once more causing the hero to go spinning away. ”Hmm….Hey M! This guy’s not getting hurt. Are you sure I’m ready to be a hero? I think I'm still too weak.” The young man said clearly not confident in his abilities.
Lillam gave a warm smile and shook his head “Oh no, not at all! You must remember your training dear Hiro. Everything has a weakness, you just have to know how to exploit it. Think, Hiro! Think!!” he shouted with fingers pointing each side of his temples. Hiro’s eyes scanned over his foe as he took in all the knowledge he could from their interactions thus far. His mind seemed to absorb things much faster than other people, he had always been told so growing up. He used to think it was a bad thing. Kids would pick on him for it and make him feel like a freak, but M had shown him the use of it. He nodded as he raised his arm once more in a striking stance, ”Yeah…I can do it. If I can’t hurt you physically I’ll just hurt you in other ways.” Without waiting for a response the boy disappeared once more, Valiant panicked unsure of what the odd young man could have meant. He turned around just in time to see Hiro appear almost as if rising from Valiant’s shadow and driving his fist into Valiant’s kidney, the force sent Valiant blasting back through the wall into another room of the underground facility. The chamber was layered with electronic panels that were now glitching out; it was a simulation chamber. Still, Valiant appeared and felt physically unfazed. Once again getting back to his feet with the aid of his lance, which began to heat up once again “Have you not learned, little lamb? Your attacks won’t hu--Gugh!!” Valiant stumbled and keeled over while grabbing his chest. Something suddenly felt, wrong, and he could feel a second heartbeat alongside his own. Valiant knew right away that, somehow, this boy managed to strike him in a way he’d never been struck before. He could feel his control over his vessel loosening “I don’t know what you are…Or how you do what you do, but it will not…” he lifted his lance and struck it back into the ground, conjuring up a series of spheres shaped like miniature suns that revolved around him. Sweltering air whirred around Valiant as the very ground beneath his feet began to disintegrate from the heat “It will not make any difference to the outcome.” he stated with determination, and one by one the heated spheres launched themselves at Hiro & Lillam threatening to melt anything that came into close proximity of them. The boy's small frame dashed toward the attacks deftly dodging as he brought himself closer to his foe. The heat from the attack seemed to affect him some however as his skin seemed to blister just from being near the orbs. But once the attacks had passed by Hiro, he struck his fist deep into the ground and his arm began to vibrate at hypersonic speeds causing a small quake that sent a tremor throughout the simulation room.
All the glass panels shattered which came down like rain around Valiant as the ground beneath his feet trembled from the impact of Hiro’s strike, sending Valiant off his feet “Solar Point!!!” Valiant cried out as he shifted into a sort of diving position with his lance facing forward and shooting himself at Hiro, fully intending to drive the heated tip of his blade through the boy and into Lillam who stood smugly behind him. Most people might have stood their ground defensively awaiting the attack to come, while others might have evaded the attack altogether, Hiro could have done either but instead opted to charge in like he imagined the heroes he used to read in his comics would do. His eyes flickered as he stomped the ground cratering where his foot dug in, then with his other leg, he pushed forward closing the distance before Valiant could close in any more than he had, for a moment the small young man seemed a giant as if his energy had formed a behemoth around him before he struck Valiants center of mass sending a powerful shockwave flowing throughout the area, and Valiant’s spirit out of James Creed’s body.
FIGHT OVER - VICTOR: Hiro the Hero!!!
The echoing sound of triumphant clapping followed the dust settling from the battle between the Hero Guilds two strongest heroes. Lillam approached Hiro from behind with a smile, looking like a proud father. He rested his hand on Hiro’s shoulder and congratulated him “You did well, as always, my Hiro…” he said and glanced over to Tom who stood dumbfounded by the stone throne over the unconscious body of his brother lying in the rubble of the simulation room “You have freed this child, at least for now. Valiant will not be able to return for some time, this boy was his vessel. Take him and his brother over there to recuperate in the medical pods.” he told Hiro and removed his hand from his shoulder and returned to his stone throne.
As he sat down, a man suddenly appeared by his right side. Manifesting from thin air was the man only known as ‘Gray Fox’ by the Heroes Guild “My old friend…So…It is finally time…”
He lifted an eyebrow looking back to Moses comment on himself, self doubting himself and being highly negative to himself lacking any confidence in his raw strength and power he posses. It pissed Ainto off slightly how he said how he was good for nothing though before he could say anything, Ms.Pain best him to answering Moses statement towards himself.
“Lucifer still needs you, my dear. Your nihilism - while it does fuel me - it does make me feel I should pity you. Chin up.”
He sighed and crossed his arms again, Ms. Pain was going to say the exact opposite of what he was gonna say, mostly negative to try to get him out of his self sorrow, it was pathetic in his eyes, weak-minded even though he shouldn’t say anything, Ms.Pain would be in his ass if he did so, aka not very good.
He then looked towards Ms. Pain as she asked him a question.
Ainto hun, do you have a sidecar available for dear Moses?
He scoffed at such question.
Side car? HA! That would be almost like cheating on the love of my life lucia! That beauty is my most prized possession one of the most, no- most beautiful thing I’ve laid my eyes upon- so NO on the side car, making me get my helmet on for no reason- dumbass.
He said as he scoffed at her yet again looking away in such an idiotic question.
Raphael knew he hit a sore spot, especially when she paused. Her tone however screamed danger and red flags went off in the mutated man’s head.
Then she said that she was the reason for this sector’s peace. Just how dangerous was she?
His falcon flew onto the kitchen counter, not wanting to get hurt as Raphael watched with an intrigued gaze, but a confused furrow of his brow, watching her go through and prepare her weapons or set the ones away she didn’t need. Then she talked about how she did - in fact - got her armory stolen by one of the four gangs that used to be here and they had killed her thinking they were going to get away scot-free.
What Raphael wasn’t expecting was the girl straddling his lap and he tensed, his tail wagging with some agitation as he returned the daring look with a challenging glare of his own and ears forward, his arms stuck and he clenched his hands, Yona probably feeling his forearms tense. So, she could die, but not stay that way.
How powerful was her regeneration?
She continued, her state sounding more and more pitiful as she continued. But she used that to her advantage and killed one of the four gangs in quite a short amount of time for one girl. Sounded like she was some video game protagonist with infinite lives. He realized just how lucky he was that she wasn’t out to kill him or make his entire family suffer, his eyes now widened from their challenging narrowed gaze as this realization struck him, ears lowering and pinning back. Was he afraid? Oh yes, but he smirked right in the face of danger, whose name was Yona. Then the CIA was mentioned, bristling at the touch of her hand in his soft hair, brushing it back. Realizing that the CIA wouldn’t be doing much anyway with rocks for brains as expendable units, Raphael truly knew that Yona didn’t need to be worried about.
She finally got off. Raphael had no idea if she was into him or if she was trying to make a point, but his tail went back to its languid rest. She spoke as if she didn’t just do that and Raphael rubbed his forearms from the grip she had on him, rubbing out the soreness. He decided it was all to make a point (as disappointing as that was) and chuckled, now regarding her with a lot more respect than concern in his silvery eyes. “Huh, honestly, I wasn’t expectin’ that. Alright, you check out~.” He purred, seemingly having liked that display of power all too well, and acting as if it was all just a test to see how dangerous she was all along. “I wanted to make sure the person I hired wasn’t going to be a wimp and I’m pleasantly surprised by the outcome. Glad to have you.” He took a swig of that mango juice again before standing up, rolling his shoulders in a sort of stretch.
“It’s not that I thought your lifestyle was bland, but concerningly unsafe if anything were to happen. The gangs here aren’t going to be your only problem if any other person worth their weight in bullets finds this place and wants to cause problems. You’ll probably are capable of dealing with that though, given your-... Resume.” He chuckled, that same charming smile on his face. “Though, looks like you’ll need groceries, too. Fridge food is scarce.” He mused, but then shrugged.
“Anyway, if at all possible, I’d like to have you as a more permanent contact. Considering my connections and wallet, it would benefit you immensely.” Raphael smiled, tilting his head and trying to be polite. “I apologize if it sounds like I’m nagging. I didn’t know you could just come back from death. Truly a blessing and a curse, but it’s likely you don’t see it as much of the former. You have everything?” He asked, his side facing her as he was now facing the door out of her home.
Lady Pain could feel the agitation about Moses’s self doubt from Ainto. He was easy to read, even with a motorcycle helmet on. Well, she was also an empath as per her abilities. Moses didn’t need a swift backhand and negativity to lift him up. He needed more positivity. Working with him for as long as she had (even if only briefly), she did know that Moses worked better when being pushed with a gentle hand than being shoved into the ditch and left there to die.
Of course, asking Ainto if he had a sidecar got her an extremely interesting response. Ahh, she forgot how attached to that beaut of a bike he was. His outburst had her laughing, a sort of shrill, grating, giddy laugh as she approached him and wrapped an around his shoulders, face inches from his own as she peered through the visor of the helmet. “Well, that means I’ll be sandwiched between you and Moses, but that’s fine. Poor Lucia will have to worry about the balance of three people instead of none.” The arm draped over his shoulders reached out with her clawed hand to tease the flesh of his chest through his shirt (or armored shirt, whichever he's wearing). “Unless you prefer it not to be so crowded~.” She cooed, purple eyes alluringly on Ainto with a wicked grin.
But then she let go, shrugging. “Oh well, if Ainto isn’t going to make it more comfortable for us, I guess we could all fit on one seat. Come on, Moses.” She urged, as she looked at Ainto.
“Where’s your beauty of a bike, dearie~?”
You have everything?” He asked, his side facing her as he was now facing the door out of her home.
"Pretty much done here. Hopefully it's enough. Never had to shoot up hordes of androids before." She said as she slung the duffel bag strap over her shoulder and took out her keys as they headed out. It warmed her a little bit to see that some people actually still care about other strangers' safety. She hasn't had someone like that in awhile. Well, someone else other than her boss at the bar. Perhaps he's only acting that way because of that little show she just did. She doesn't really know if she had accidentally seduced him fully, she knows she did but she doesn't know to what extent. Hopefully he hasn't fallen for her too hard. It'd be a bit catastrophic given their differences in status and lifestyles.
Once they made it out of her home, she locked the door and put her keys back in her pocket. She turned to Raphael, clearing her throat before she spoke. "About that job offer, I'll think about it. Sure, it seems like my life is surrounded by risks but it doesn't mean I want it. You know what I mean, right?" She asked not expecting an answer. She figured if she were to work under him, it'd be either security work or hit-work. Either way, it meant that she had to pull the mercenary side of her to be doing that sort of stuff. She honestly just wants a more peaceful life and nothing that she can do would benefit the company other than merc work. She did have high grades in high school, but she thinks that the company needed college or even university levels of academic achievements to work a good job. If anything, if the company had a canteen or cafeteria, she wouldn't mind being in the kitchen cooking food and making drinks. Hell, she'd even settle for just washing dishes.
"Oh well though... Beggars can't be choosers I guess." She said with a sigh, shrugging a bit. She looked around for a bit realizing that... they had no car. She looked to Raphael once more knowing he probably had a ride, but she has her doubts due to the experience prior. "Hey, I know you'll probably call for a ride but can you make sure it's driven by a... human? Not AI? We don't want to be ditching yet another car. Plus, now I have gear with me." She requested. Surely, Raphael had a human chauffeur or some idea for a driver that wasn't automated or A.I. driven.
Sighing, she ignored him all the same, not wanting to be the target of whatever that was. She quietly tip-toed her way over to Monty, grabbing a hold of his arm as she looked him over. “Oh my, are you okay?” She asked quietly, grabbing bits of her fluff to dab at his blood to clean him up.
Monty lay battered, bruised, and partly unconscious but started to come to when he felt Naomi's hand grab hold of his arm "N-not cool---..hwuh??" he slowly opened his eyes with a yawn like he wasn't just knocked out but waking up from a dream and he saw Naomi using bits of her fluff to clean his wounds, then catching a glimpse of her 'bust' "N-N-Naomi!!!" his eyes widened and he leaned up but was sent right back down from the fountain of blood coming out from his nose with his last words before once again falling unconscious being "I'm melting...Melting..."
If he were to bleed out of his nose again, she’d just stuff some fluff up there, completely failing to realize he would just sneeze from it all.
The fluff did the job of stopping the bleeding for a few seconds before he sneezed it all back out again, but now Monty was awake again and sprung back to life. He still looked like he just got run over by a garbage truck but he was conscious, breathing, and able to move. He looked out to see that the pink fog was now all gone, and there was a stranger who he could have sworn wasn't present before standing nearby. It took a few moments but Monty managed to put two and two together, and he was visibly disappointed "I failed...To protect Naomi-Senpai..." he turned to Naomi, moving to his knees and bowing down with his head to the floor "I'M SO, SO, SO SOWWY NAOMIII<3<3" he then poked his head up "I will not allow this a second time!"
Looking around, she motioned for Katja and Esteriel, her moths coming out of her fluff to encircle them and almost act as a pushing force for them to follow her. “Come on, we should get to Sass’ place.” Her eyes were back on the gentleman who saved them, but she dared not utter a word of thanks. She didn’t know who he was and - if Sass ever taught her anything - it was always good to just stay away from people who wanted to channel their disappointment on others by hurting them.
She just hoped Katja or Esteriel didn't try saying thank you. Not to be rude, but she didn't want to be the focus of whatever pain he looked to dish out.
Esteriel simply allowed himself to be guided by Naomi's moths without seeming to mind at all, appearing to enjoy the way they tickled him as they pushed him toward Naomi & Monty "Ohohoo, coming, coming!" Esteriel chirped. Ignoring the new voice that arrived, he presumed that he was just another one of Naomi, Monty, or Katja's friends. Meanwhile, Monty was back to his feet and even though he was pinching his nose the blood was still leaking out "Naomi is right...Naomi is always right <3. We should go back to Sass Palace, the boss will want to know right away that the anomaly of Lovers Lane has been dealt with. Even if it was a stranger responsible.." he explained and muttered that last sentence under his breath while looking over toward the man who seemed to be unscathed even after beating back the fog. Monty stared down his back for a few moments, thinking that if he were a more prideful person he'd seek to confront the man; instead he simply brushed it off and accepted it for what it was. It didn't matter who he was right now, all that mattered now was getting back to Sass Palace and reporting this all to Sassparilla Dangerous himself.
Judast Children
Interactions: Everyone going to the festival
~ Moloch & Abollah ~
Moloch walked forward to what sounded like the sound of heavy footsteps, a sound that multiplied and grew louder as out from the darkness emerged the many glowing red eyes of mutant abominations. It was not known to the Judast Children, but these mutants in specific were a legion belonging to the 'Underlord' who dwelled somewhere in the depths of the Beneath.
"Hruughh..." "Ruuuuhhhh..."
"Graurgh!!!" "Sshsshsshhssh.."
The mutants moaned, chattered their teeth, and squealed in unison as Moloch & Abollah's presence was noticed.
"Abominations!? This is close to the surface! Well, you don't see that every day...Is that why you wanted to come here sis?" Moloch asked curiously and seemingly unconcerned about the approaching danger while his sister Abollah simply cackled aloud in response and began intertwining her fingers with great anticipation.
"Oh sis!~ Here I'm supposed to be showing YOU a good time, but instead you've gone and gotten me into this..." Moloch responded to an answer that was never spoken; he just had a way of knowing exactly how his sister was feeling and thinking at any given moment. Right now, she was telling him that she led him here for some entertainment, and as a gift.
Moloch smiled wickedly and started approaching the legion of abominations further down the tunnel; the binds of Malphas which were connected to his torso activated upon his will.
~ A few hours later ~
After entertaining his little sister the best way he knew how the two of them finally made it back to the surface, and now with the festival fully underway: they continued their stroll through all the things the festival had to offer. Yet while Abollah was as spotless and clean as she was since leaving Judast Estate Moloch was now covered in all manner of gooey substances left over the horde of abominations he had 'dealt with'.
"Y'know sis, next time you plan on leading me into a pack of mutants - maybe remind me to bring a spare change of clothes?" he whined while struggling to deal with his own smell "I smell like a hundred dead cats that were left out in the sun for too long..." he added grimly, but his sister simply hummed and occupied herself with all the dazzling lights floating above the rooftops "Oh sis..."
The two of them would continue to enjoy the festival, anxiously anticipating Lucifer's speech to the city.
~ Judica Judast & The Firelights ~
The festival was soon to begin, and while Judica had sent out 'Mr. M' to scout out beyond Syndicate territory she rounded up the rest of the Firelights under her command and established a security border at all entry points into Syndicate Territory. Wanting to assure that if there were to be any interruptions to her father's festival, she would be among the first to know about it.
Arbiter of Death
Location: Hospital > Travelling back to Junkyard District
"I-I-I'm so sorry, s-sir!! I t-t-tried everything! I swear! So, please! PLEASE! Don't h-h-h-hurt me.." one of the MediSTAT doctors quivered and pleaded while on his knees, cowering before the looming figure that was the Arbiter of Death who simply stared down at him with his unblinking cybernetic eyes.
"....Hruunnngghh......" The Arbiter's breathing grew raspy and more aggressive. Reaching out his metallic hand, the doctor flinched and dropped his head to the ground squealing "PLEASE, NO, NO!!!" then silence...
A few minutes later the Arbiter emerged from the hospital with his former partner in his arms.
"Wait, sir! You can't...Do that.." said the doctor from before who appeared completely unharmed, and he simply watched as the Arbiter walked away from the hospital before disappearing into the dark alleyways of Hell City "I can't believe he didn't kill me...Best not to question it Lance, best not to question it." the doctor spoke to nobody but himself and returned back to his job.
~ 1 Hour Until Alignment ~
Morphis Bizarro, AKA 'Baron Bizarre' was put to final rest by the Arbiter of Death. The Arbiter gave his old partner a minute of silence before setting off into the city once again, he could feel that something was off these past few nights, but this feeling did not deter him from his mission. The mission is to track down that swordsman of the Pantheon and exact his vengeance upon him. And he planned to begin his search in the last place he saw them: the now destroyed Junkyard District...
"Cyber-Warrior" Icarus
Well, this was bad, very bad, and it stank to high heaven - and that wasn't a reference to the barf Icarus just laid out all over the sidewalk. After a few long minutes of involuntary retching and keeling over Icarus was able to get himself somewhat back together again. Wiping his mouth before fitting his mask back over his face again.
"I assume this negatively affects our arrangement in some way?"
Icarus looked over his shoulder for a second to acknowledge that he heard the question, then looked back to the ground while he thought it over. While it was true that, from what he saw, the Heroes Guild was all but basically screwed. The Arbiter of Death & Baron Bizarre failed to prevent the Pantheon from intruding Hell City and as far as he knew they probably died within that explosion, then the rest of them seemed to be getting hunted down by this cybernetic 'creature' O.V.R. Even after all of this, the "Master" was quiet, and that was not a good sign either.
All in all, it was looking bad, but asides from mental scars that will haunt his nightmares for years to come, all of this changed nothing in Icarus' mind. Heroes Guild or not; he had his own goals in mind.
"No...No it doesn't. It just turns out you won't be meeting the big man any time soon, so you're gonna' be stuck with me. But what we have to offer each other is still on the table...I just, well, I need to take care of this first." he said in reference to O.V.R and he'd call down a cab to come to pick them up to drive them toward the location he intended to draw the cyborg into a trap.
"I won't ask you to come with me, but if you have nothing better to do then get in. It might even be a good chance for me to show you my uses in person." Icarus said to Alistair before getting into the back of a cab that was headed toward the now-destroyed Junkyard District. The chosen stage of Icarus' plan.
Junkyard District - 1 Hour Before Alignment
The drive was long and quiet, on the way to their destination Icarus spent most of his time silently trying to process the recently transpiring events of the last two days. Alistair may have caught a few moments where Icarus would curse to himself aloud, but other than that the interactions between the two would be kept at a minimum until they arrived at the Junkyard District. Which looked pretty much exactly how one would expect a blown-up junkyard to look like - a real fucking mess.
Icarus led the way inside, making his way toward the source of the explosion, which wasn't that hard since the impact had left a giant crater in the area which made it clear of any metal debris. Icarus also spotted one of his busted-up drones and quickly went to pick it up to see if there was any possibility of salvaging it, only to be disappointed when he realized that they were well beyond repair "How could they do this to you baby..." he wept for a moment until he got his shit together again and got to business.
Icarus called in drones he had stationed in surrounding districts that gathered in the crater clearing while Icarus spent his spare time creating a signal that he believed would send O.V.R hurtling toward them, basically planning to give O.V.R a mega migraine while also putting a huge sign on his location that was essentially screaming "COME GET ME!!!"
Of course, this was all a trap to lure O.V.R into his drones which would either possibly incapacitate O.V.R or at least buy him enough time and distance. Needing to be close enough for his mask to do its job and give Icarus access, but not close enough for him to get snatched up like the heroes before him.
Cold Heart, The Silver Fox & The Master
Location: District 341 (District near Factorio District, which I'm making District 343)
The time has come.
Tonight would prove to be of more importance to the future than just about anyone could possibly realize. Tonight was the night everything would be at stake. Lillam had dedicated his life to this moment, and now that it was so close to arriving, he could not help but pay thought to all the sacrifices he made along the road to this moment. As well as a question that played on his mind, a question we all ask ourselves at least once in our lives: "Will this all be worth it?". Lillam was determined to find this out for himself, no matter the answer. He may be able to see the future in many capacities, but time is not a simple thing, nor is it ever set in stone. There are many pathways which in the end, we pick to get one.
Lillam Willick 'The Master' & 'Timeless Magician', Dorian Gray 'Silver Fox', and Tom Creed 'Cold Heart' all made a sudden appearance on the surface of District 341. A neighboring district of the industrial powerhouse ran by a company known as 'Faust'. The three of them appeared in the middle of the street which caused quite a shock to any passing onlookers who saw them, but some would even recognize Tom Creed and attempt to approach them.
Yet before they had the chance to get close, Dorian Gray stepped forward, tapping the end of his cane on the ground: releasing a wave of violent tremors rippling across the street.
"Fear not citizens of Hell City...For I, the Timeless Magician, have arrived!!" Lillam cried out grandiosely with his arms reaching out for the sky. Space and time around his hands distorted, and from the distortion came a flock of doves that swooped over streets "However, I am also afraid that I must insist you all stay within your homes tonight....Dorian." Lillam needed to only say his name for Silver Fox to take action. "Sir." Dorian acknowledged, and then in the blink of an eye, one Dorian turned into many, many - MANY Dorian's who formed something of a clone army. Dorian's appeared at the sides of all those on the streets, guiding them back to their homes before spreading throughout the surrounding districts to keep everyone else in their homes: even if it meant using force.
"Now that it has begun, Dorian, you are now to move onto your next task - I doubt I need to remind you, but please, be careful. She will indeed be pivotal to our goals. But she is not worth your life, my friend." Lillam spoke softly to Dorian who stood idly by his side until given his next objective. As usual, he did not speak with words, but with expression & action. He bowed his head respectfully, and as suddenly as he was able to make multiple of himself appear - the original Dorian vanished back into thin air.
~ Yona's House ~
Dorian Gray once again reappeared out of thin air in front of Yona's house with a walking cane in hand. His cane was the only thing that distinguished him from his 'duplicates'. As he appeared, so did five more of him as a backup in case things escalated to violence. He and his five other duplicates would essentially manifest themselves in front of Yona and Raphael, with the original Dorian himself placing a hand on his chest and bowing respectfully to Yona while introducing himself
"Pardon my intrusion, my name is Dorian Gray. You do not know me, but I know plenty of you, Yona. This may seem strange, but I am afraid I've come here to insist that you come with me - now." his tone started pleasantly, but ended on a slightly more menacing and commanding note. He then glanced over to Raphael and added "My business is only with Yona, not with you. However, I would suggest staying indoors for the remainder of this evening."
( Uasal Uasal )
Elsewhere, deep in the subconscious of Lady Death a voice would reach out. A voice calling to her, a voice calling for death. Yet despite all of the urgent whispers flowing through the back of her mind, the only words that would come in clearly was a name: "...Dorian Gray..." and suddenly, Mian Bhias would feel something tugging her soul toward another direction. Toward the original Dorian Gray who was waiting outside of Yona's house.
~ The March ~
Meanwhile, the rest of the Silver Fox army helmed by none other than the Heroes Guild Master himself moved steadily toward the festival security border established by the Firelights under Judica Judast. Moving from one district to the next doing as they did before, and forcing everyone they could into their homes. Of course, not everyone complied willingly, and fights broke out between all manner of thugs and 'Fox-Soldiers' on the march toward the festival.
If their march went undisturbed it could be estimated that the Silver-Fox army would begin breaching the Firelight security border by the time Lucifer is due to address the city.
