Fantasy Hell: Casual Days

A short breath emerged from Mara's lips before her whole body came to life. Her eyes snapped wide.

She landed on the ground gently. She saw well even in the dark, so as she was in a short state of disorientation, Mara managed to see the dimly-lit candles, old, dusty tomes, and robed humans around her.

She inhaled the scent of familiar dark summoning magic. Just like her bind spell on Cerberus...

The guardian of Hell's entrance.

That's when she suddenly remembered the past events. As much as she didn't exactly fancy interaction, she decided she needed answers.

"D-Demon!" A voice beckoned her to stare at one of the robed figures. Mara stared at him with such intensity that she could swear she was close to seeing his dark soul.

"What?" She asked casually. Her voiced seemed rather... different, to her. She cleared her throat. Now wasn't the time to think about matters like that, she decided.

She looked around for any signs of where she was. The door on her left was the only exit.

She could smell blood of all kinds--animal, human, demon, and... was that right? Even of an angel's? Then surely, these people weren't easy business.

"Was it successful?" A serious voice brought her back to reality. She looked on her right, and observed the figure whom the voice came from.

"Y-Yes. I am sure." Another spoke. "I-I-If you could see her eyes--"

"Did I hear correct?" Mara heard someone slur through his words. She knew well enough perverts to at least have a hint as to what that human was about. "I knew we should have picked a female body."

Picked a body? Mara looked down to see the lower body of a naked man, whom she realized she was possessing.

"Silence." The serious voice declared. "You will respect... her. She has answered to her call, after all."

If she wasn't naturally ignorant, Mara would have corrected him. To be honest, she didn't know how she managed to possess the body she was now in without noticing. She was already in this man when she awoke.

Three of them. There were three robed and unfamiliar humans in the dark room. She flexed her hands. This was definitely a new experience.

"I wasn't disrespecting." Her senses were dull, but Mara could attest that that man who spoke in a slur was a debauchee, 666%. The degenerate stepped closer to Mara, who was standing in the middle of a summoning circle calmly. "I was just suggesting we had fun~" He brought his hand to the possessed's face. "Hm. I don't regret choosing his body." His fingers slid down to Mara's (but not really) chin. "He's good enough. Of great use, when this is all over--"

"Ashe, enough!" The serious voice emerged from the shadows. He wore a dark robe much like the rest of his people. He seemed like the leader of the small group. "My sincerest apologies." He bowed at Mara, who still hadn't moved an inch. She raised her (possessed's) eyebrows slightly. When Ashe insisted on touching more of her body, she slapped his hand off so hard his yelp echoed through the large room loudly.

"I am Steris." The stern man said, seemingly unfazed by what happened to Ashe. Mara had a feeling in her gut that Steris was glad to have shut Ashe up. "Your summoner, Rhyde." Rhyde didn't show himself, but Mara knew exactly where he was cowering in fear. "This was his third time--first success. He's new here." Steris looked down at Ashe, who was clutching his right hand like it was going to fall. "And that is Ashe. He's unruly, but he knows a lot."

Mara noticed Steris staring at her--or rather, the body she was in. "And the volunteer whose body you now occupy..." He said. "He's Landon."

Steris paused. "And your name?"

Mara stepped forward. Then, she punctured a hole through Steris' chest. She gripped on his beating heart and tore it apart. Pieces of his ribs flew away. His flood flowed onto Mara's hands.

She looked down at Ashe mercilessly. Before he could scream, Mara gave him an uppercut with her foot. His neck cracked. He fell on his back, his head craned in an unusual way, all the way facing his back.

She knew why she didn't struggle to possess this body, like how demons normally could. There was no human soul to fight with. They offered the human's soul in exchange for Mara's. He was dead inside, and outside too, if not for Mara's soul taking control of his systems.

But as she swiftly dashed towards the only conscious member left--the summoner who was physically responsible for what happened to her--Mara thought that perhaps having this body for herself was good.

Satan's Complex Affairs:

"This is no time for sleep, Rei!" Lucifer growled at her. Peeved when she ignored him

As Lucifer waited for Torva's response, he heard the sad wails of Cerebus from the front of the house. He went to the door and saw the three-headed pup sitting slumped at the edge of the homes gate. One head was looking skyward, another sulked low to the ground, and the last was the one that bayed sorrowfully as if lamenting.

"Come on, boy" he said softly, and grabbed the thick chain connected to his collar urging him inside the house. The dog wouldn't budged and Lucifer couldn't pull the heavy set animal to save is life,

"Dammit Cerebus!" He said, growing irritated. The dog howled still, ignoring him. Lucifer took another look at the burning sky and noticed the riff that had taken Mara to the Earth realm was still there!

He went back inside to the others.

"Alright, you guys have no say! I found the sky portal that sucked Mara into the other dimension and we're going through to find her." before anyone could protest, he willed them upwards with his mind, and pushed them through the portal.

Earthbound:

They rose through a portal created on a 4 foot long pentagram. The candle that surrounded it we out and some toppled sideways.

It reeked of blood and it couldn't smell any better. The sweetness of death was the flower of essence.

Lucifer looked about and saw the summoners dead on the floor. Slayed by Mara, but she was not there

"Oh, shit..." he said, not sure if he found this funny or worrisome

Echnia smirked as Torva appeared. Ask and you shall receive, huh? She heard the howling of Cerebus outside and watched as Satan went to deal with it. Apparently he had no luck left, as he came back inside dog-less. She listened to what he said, but before she could even whisper a word of protest, she and everybody else were forced through the portal. "Well, there goes my job," she muttered.

The first thing she noticed as they appeared on earth was the sweet stench. She hadn't smelled it this strongly in quite a while. As she looked around in the dark room, she found the cause; three robed summoners, each killed a different way. Her eyes surveyed the mess of ribs and guts beside one of the bodies and almost laughed.

"What were you saying about how "one demon can't wreak havoc", Seth?" She placed a hand on her hip and smirked at her own joke. As she did, she realized her hand still held the liquor bottle. Thank Satan. Literally.

Blood was a familiar sight to Mara. She saw it all the time in Hell--whenever someone was being tortured, or when demons just wanted to have a friendly fight. The act of execution, however... She hadn't done murder in a long time. The red fluid spilling from one of the Satanists' hearts felt nice on her body. Or rather, Landon's body.

To have sacrificed his own soul for evil purposes... Mara found it remarkable.

Landon, was it, she thought. His own soul must have been transported to Hell in exchange for mine.

Mara casually exited the dark room, leaving the corpses and one lit candle behind. Whoever would go inside after what just happened would be in for a surprise.

It led to a long hallway. From both sides, some robed figures ran towards her. "Landon?" One of them spoke. She looked his way. "Why are you naked?"

"Where's Steris?" Another one spoke.

"We heard screams-- Wait... That's not..."

They alertly held their weapons at her. Some held a staves; some, blades of some sort; some, a book--probably containing magic. When one of them threw a book at her (it felt like an ant to Landon's muscular build), she crossed off that thought.

Just their luck. She smiled very faintly (that no one could have possibly noticed), the skin on Landon's dry lips cracking at the slightest tug. "You'll all be joining me," she muttered. "when I go back to Hell."

✧ ✧ ✧

It must've been weird for the rest of the people when they saw their naked mate (but not really), walking around their base, stained with the blood of their other mates. The awkwardness didn't last long, as Mara made sure that they were to be silenced immediately (at least, that was as soon as she got the information she needed).

What she learned: They were more of Luciferians, Lucifer's faithful adorers (except for that one who prayed to God before Mara smashed her head with a chair). They needed the assistance of a powerful demon to eliminate their enemies. They're not able to bring Mara back to Hell. And they did not expect Mara to kill them all.

She was left with an old and abandoned building deep in the woods. After some time of looking around, she equipped herself with a clean robe and a dagger with a black blade that she had picked up somewhere. Then she headed for the trees.

"Oh hush, Echnia." Satan said, not wanting a feud to start already.

Satan scanned the room of corpses closely. His fans, he thought with a smirk. How brutally Mara had ripped the life from them.

"They underestimated her power." Satan mused, "The hadn't a chance of controlling her." he realized he shouldn't have worried so much for Mara's sake. It was these human's that were fucked.

He led the others to a door and peering out, saw more cadavers, ruthlessly killed. As they reached the end of the hallway a shaking hand grazed at Satan hoof. He looked down and saw a gutted man with gleaming, pleading eyes.

"Dark Lord." He rasped, no louder than a breath, " Save your devout child... Help me..."

"Where's the girl?" He asked the dying man, lifting his hoof from his loose grasp.

He eyes glazed in confusion as he held in his intestines with his other hand , then muttered, "Landon... but Lord...King Lucifer... Bring my salvation."

"You're a fool to believe I have that to offer," He said, bending down to the miserable occultist, "But I can assure your eternity with me."

He removed the mans hand, letting the organs flow out and ravenously ate them, the man letting out his last gasp.

"Landon he said." He told the others, as he licked is fingers, "She must be in a male body, but what she plans to do, I have no clue"

Boss's Men:

"Sir, we only have so much time here, ourselves. We have no human host, and angels are sure to intervene when they catch suspicion of us." Dex told Lucifer, amazed at the carnage that's already began, " I don't know what happens then."

"alright, some must go back then. To find Landon, and ask what exactly they were trying to accomplish here. The rest will search for this possessed man"

Mark shrugged at Nyx who's hand was clasped comfortably in his own, "I'll go is she goes." He smirked

"That's perfect. anyone else? Who's going, who's staying? " He asked the group.

In the silence that followed Satan's question, Echnia took a long swig from the sweet bottle. Pretty soon, she would start feeling a bit tipsy, but that didn't worry her. She had built up quite a high tolerance to liquor in all her years.

"I'd prefer to stay, to be honest. I haven't had this much fun in a while," she commented, sucking the remaining liquor off her lips. She couldn't deny that doing all this was much better than sitting around and waiting for the next utterly desperate guy--or the occasional girl--to fall asleep. Not that constant dream-sex wasn't fun, it was just...constant. A tedious routine. Of course, sometimes she would slither into the dreams of one who isn't desperate. That would be a fun night. Sometimes they might even have significant others or spouses sleeping next to them. That would be an even more fun night. But she wasn't supposed to go off-course that much. It could mess a lot of things up.

Still, a little more variety in her life would be damn nice. Maybe even a real commitment for once. But that was pushing it for a succubus.

On that note...

"In any case, if Mara chooses to sleep in that body I can travel to her dreams and visit her." Echnia grinned, pleased to make herself useful. Assuming that she likes girls...

It wasn't necessary for Mara's sexuality to fit, but Echnia might get in trouble with her superiors if she fooled around where she wasn't supposed to. After all, the point of her job was to make people comfortable in bed, not the opposite.

It's not like she would be going there to have sex with Mara, anyway. That's a bit uncalled for, even for Echnia. So maybe she could get away with it this time.

Torva looked towards Satan with a curious expression on his face; even if you couldn't see his eyes due to his fringe covering them completely at the time; he had some concerns that his help wasn't needed anymore and he would be left to do nothing "Lucifer, My lord~ What is it you wanted me to do?" he mused as he appeared right in front of Satan with a sinister like aura around him "Because I'd just love some fun.." he made sure he was loud enough to catch the Lords attention; despite Satan most likely having many other important things to worry about than the word of a creepy Reaper such as Torva he couldn't care less.

Rei followed after her father, not drunk anymore. "These humans are stupid, trying to summon a demon and all..." She sighed. "And to think I had to grow up along side them for over 15 years..."

((Sorry that I haven't responded lately schools been a bitch))

The first thing Seth thought about when they were on earth wasn't the stench and the bloody bodies but was
Oh finally my powers will become really useful. In hell everyone thought the same things and I've heard it all...but here it will be much more interesting. Seth kicked one of the many bodies on its back examining the damage. When Echina tried to pick on him he tried to respond insultingly while giving her a harsh glare "Oh really, Echina I thought that you would want hell on earth anyway...but I guess all you care about is suc@$*% d$@% ." but something was wrong..as if it was blocking him... Seth tried to send gibberish to random members of the room as he started to panic but it was all being blocked.. WHAT!!! I can't communicate normally on earth what the fuck!??! It just occurred to Seth that he didn't try to read anyone's mind yet.. Seth quickly read Echina's thoughts to test if it still worked. Seth felt gross after doing it successfully.

"That would be excellent, Echnia, however I wouldn't know when or where she'd sleep. But please try!" Lucifer turned to Torva now, "I do have a rather important task for you Torva. You hold the records of deceased and would be a major help in finding this soul Landon...Langdon... I forget. But if you can aid in the team going back to Hell and find this man, it would be most helpful."

As they stood in the hallway discussing arrangements a loud hacking came from Seth. Satan turned and heard Seth talk, his mouth bleeding but it was a mouth.

"Seth..." He responded, surprised, "By God, I didn't know you could do that."

"Cat's been let out of the bag I see..." Rei muttered.

"Cat got your tongue?" Mark added with a laugh.

"Oh stop it guys, Seth is important to this team and you know it." he said as he went around flipping through magic books and raiding the satanists pockets for something useful.

Rei giggles at Mark's addition. "Nice one..." She says, sighing. "Can we get going now, daddy?" She asks, making adorable puppy eyes.

Some time into the woods, Mara stopped and looked around. The trees around her looked the same from when she first entered the forest. It was probably her imagination, but it was as if nature was telling her, "You do not belong here. You are not meant to get out of here alive." As she sat on a large, rotting, and fallen tree trunk tiredly, she realized that it must only be the forthcoming fatigue. It was the undeniable price for possessing someone who was much weaker and inept of doing what she usually did as a demon.

With her real body, Mara was used to roaming Hell for days, weeks, and even months straight without resting. She had gotten used to it after tons of time spent in the evil realm. But Landon, despite how tough he looked, also had his bodily limits.

How the truth could hurt.. And how Mara missed being in her real damned body (no pun intended. She doesn't even know what a pun is).

Mara placed the blade she had been traveling with beside her. She observed the tall trees swaying with the wind. She looked down at Landon's lower body, which was covered by the robe she was wearing. He was brawny, Mara could attest to any court. It was because she felt like all muscles ever possible in a human body hurt at the moment.

She looked up. Beyond the trees was a clear, blue sky. Mara's eyes widened. She stared at it intently. This was the first time she had seen an entity that sparked something dynamic inside her. For the first time in a very, very long time, what she was doing was... relaxing in a way.

It was hypnotizing, even, to the fact that she didn't notice the unusual rustling of plants, coming closer and closer...

Echnia turned at the new voice and found that it was the one and only Seth, with an open mouth this time. Looking behind him, she saw a ridiculously long string soaked in a pool of fresh blood. But when did he do that? She couldn't help but laugh a bit. Surely he wanted to be as dramatic as possible about it. Other members of the team made lightning-quick remarks before she could (that's a first), but that wouldn't stop her from teasing the poor guy.

"Nice entrance. Good to know your amazingly useful skills will be staying, along with that voice of yours." She licked her lips, dripping with sarcasm, and took another dainty sip from the liquor--as dainty as one can be with such a bottle, anyway.

Luckily it seems she can still have fun on earth, too.

Apparently Rei had wrapped her father around her little finger already, judging by those puppy eyes. Though they weren't really necessary for a question like that, she had to give the girl props for her manipulation tactics. Adorable little dog eyes are a classic, and have an added bonus on fathers or father figures. Echnia nodded a bit to herself. She could be an apprentice, maybe.

"Seriously fuck you guys. I hope for your sakes that you remember who knows all your deepest thoughts and secrets...." Seth snarled as he bared his large pointed teeth. He wanted to get back at them but Rei and Mark weren't thinking anything useful. However, he could get back at Echnia. "So.... Lucifer..." Seth began as he gave a devilish glance to Echnia(>>). "Since you recently found out you are a father... You wouldn't want you daughter to be used as...I don't know... a object for pleasure or... one night stands. You would want her to be in a happy, stable, and love not lust filled relationships right?" Seth said trying to kick in Lucifer's father instincts to become over protective of his little girl. "No offence Echina" Seth added containing so much salt and sarcasm.

Rei looked at Seth curiously. "What the hell?" She thought to herself. "of course he would. Plus, I am able to defend myself too!"

"Hold on a bit, Rei, I'm looking for something..." Satan told his child. Surely any worthy satanist would have one... he thought to himself as he continued ransacking the joint.

When Seth asked him about exploiting women, more so his daughter, he didn't answer right away. Anything against it would be hypocritical of him, but he had a sense of something deeper than lust for Echnia, honestly. Anything promoting it would be rude though. But I mean, maybe Rei wanted to be a party type of girl.

"Uh..heh." He started, still continuing his search.

"of course he would. Plus, I am able to defend myself too!" Rei spoke.

"Please let each other be, all of you." Satan sighed. He was growing frustrated because he couldn't find it.

"Dammit all. Not one Baphomet dagger?" He griped kicking a corpse. It tumbled onto it's back and in it's chest gleamed the handle of said dagger.

"Ah-ha!" Lucifer laughed triumphantly as he wrenched it from the dead man's chest. "excellent!"

Didn't really turn out the way I thought but still works..Rei doesn't want to become a succubus so Echnia won't get her apprentice.... Seth thought as Satan found a dagger. "What's a Baphomet dagger?" Seth asked as he walked towards Satan to get a better look.

Echnia saw what Seth was doing as soon as he gave her that glance. She knew he was provoking her. She knew she shouldn't respond.

But more importantly, she knew he had read her thoughts--again--and used it to his advantage. And that's what bothered her.

Despite Satan's constant warnings, she couldn't let him have the last straw.

"I'm not ashamed of my job, asshole." she growled, strutting over to where Seth was studying the dagger in Lucifer's hand. "Maybe if you'd stop obsessively reading my thoughts you wouldn't hear as much to complain about." Echnia clenched her teeth and folded her arms tight across her chest.

"Please do tell us about the dagger so I won't have to hear him." she muttered to Satan.

On the plus side, if Seth read her thoughts right now, it would only be filled with insults and profanities aimed in his direction. Next time she'd do worse.

[/QUOTE] "That's obvious." Seth muttered to himself. When Echina walked over to them and confronted Seth. He just stood there staring at her coldly. Perfect now she's going to make a fool of herself.. "I find it funny that you say that you aren't ashamed of your job yet you blame me for doing mine."Seth wanted to say but he kept quiet because if Satan were to get mad Seth wanted it pointed in Echina's direction not him.
