Fandom Harry Potter Role play

He calmed me down slowly, and I smiled weakly at him as he brushed the hair out my eyes.

"I feel ridiculous now" I admitted to him quietly and he laughed softly.

"Don't be, it's quite flattering in an odd sense."

I looked at him, bemused, as he explained in my mind as we walked down to where you were, and I was so busy chatting to him I didn't notice the house elves that'd scattered upon hearing out footsteps. I laughed quietly at what he'd said, blushing slightly from embarrassment as we entered the room, and I tore my gaze - and mental attention - away from him to look at you both. I'd cleaned myself up, but I knew my eyes were still rimmed slightly in red from where I'd been crying a minute ago. At least it'd look accurate for when you told your friends we'd decided just to be friends, and the thought of returning was enough to make me want to stuff my head into a pillow. But I stayed, asking you if you were ready to leave as he lounged next to me, sipping a glass - of all things - electric blue liquid. I wasn't sure I wanted to know what that was.

"Yes, I'm ready."
I was impatiently swirling a pen around in my hand.

Back at Eric's grandparents house:

"Jacob, come down for breakfast." said Olivia, Eric's grandmother. Jacob came downstairs with his newspaper in one hand, still wearing his bathrobe.
"Good morning Olivia." He sat down at the high chair at the end of the table. "And why are you so late up?" She raised an eyebrow at him.
"Dear, it ended up pretty late last night. You know that." He licked at one of his fingers and opened the newspaper.
"That's why I went home before the entertainment." She cleared her throat.
He chuckled. "We both know it was to avoid the entertainment." He blinked at his wife.
She shook her head by being offended. He continued flipping the pages.
"Well, it was a great party last night. For once everyone behaved." It came out of Olivia.
He putted down his newspaper, to eat some of his breakfast that one of the elfes had come in with.
"Yes. I met a pleasant young man at the party. He was escorted by Lileath." Olivia looked at him in surprise.
"Didn't know that The Dark Lord's own daughter had someone special." She smiled at the thought. "Good for her."
Jacob nodded. "Yes indeed. He was well behaved. But he was a halfblood, but ashamed of it." He said satisfied.
He was charmed by young wizard who was on the right side.
"Do you think... maybe it's Joseph's own son?" Olivia looked worried and surprised by the thought that came into her mind.
Jacob looked up from his food. He froze. He hadn't thought of that... He shook his head fast.
"No, it couldn't be. I do not think my own son, could make a good son like that." He chuckled.
"If you say so." She looked thoughful out into the air. "We should invite him and Lileath, and the Dark Lord over for dinner." She smiled.
"What a great idea dear." He smiled back at her.

I nodded to my father and our arms linked, but sensing you wouldn't be so happy to do so, I held out my remaining arm for you two to hold. I smiled slightly at you before turning sharply towards him, shock written across my face as he smirked, and I shook my head, sighing through my nose. I cringed at the brief feeling of conpression, but a second later we landed in the shrieking shack.

"Wow, this place really is a dive." He hissed at me, and I confirmed his thoughts as we opened up the tunnel, and a flick of his wand had the tunnel taller - and thankfully smoother. He didn't let go of my arm as we walked down it, the edge of our cloaks swishing around our feet as he unfroze the whooping willow, a person sized hole appearing. I turned to look at him, and his face was unreadable, although his eyes glinted dangerously.

"I'll be out soon" I told you, hoping you'd pick up the hint as Malfoy left first, nodding that it was all clear.

I rolled my eyes so you couldn't see and I went after Malfoy.
Finally breathing the fresh air of Hogwarts. I smiled and felt extremely happy about being back.
Couldn't wait to go back to classes and relax with my friends, feel at home again, feel that I fit in.

Back at Eric's parents house:

His mother was standing in the kitchen, commanded the dishes to wash themselves with her wand.
Humming her favourite song. The house were so quite without the kids in the house, especially this year when the smallest also had went off to Hogwarts. She sighed and felt a sadness thinking about Eric, her oldest. Worried if he already had gotten in any trouble. He was clever, because he didn't get himself caught. But sometimes she wished she could know what he was doing at all times. He knew she was loosing him more and more.

The back door open, she kept controlling the kitchen to wash up and started to make food. Joseph came up behind her, hugged her on her right cheek and kissed it. "Hello beautiful." He smiled and turned her around. She tried to look happy, took away the hair that was in front of her face and kissed him. "Hello." She got herself out of his grip and continued to control the kitchen. She knew she was distance, but she wasn't feeling herself. Sick to her stomach worrying about Eric. "How was work?" She sat down on a chair around the kitchen table, Joseph did the same. He held her hand. "Good. Have you been lonely today?" He was always so kind and good to her. He was an amazing husband and father. And she knew he blamed himself for Eric, that he felt he had been a bad father, that he had failed. But that wasn't true, they both had failed.

Jessica nodded, felt the lump in her throat growing and the tairs pushing on. "It's Eric." She couldn't hold the tairs back anymore, she sobbed. Joseph held around her, tight but not hard. "It's going to be okay," he whispered in her ear. She shook her head and cried out. "There something you don't know." She couldn't keep it to herself anymore, it felt like a big secret burning a hole in her chest. Making her weaker for everyday, having all this weight on her shoulders on her own. He looked surprised at her, calmed and respecting. She took her hands in front of her face and sobbed. "He wants to get in contact with his grandparents. He wants to be one of them." She took away her hands and staired into his eyes. Feeling guilty and sad. "What?!" He stood up in shock, took his hands on his head and looked worried. "How long have you known?" he screamed. She fell on the floor, taking her hand to her chest, it was burning. She was ill. "Jessica? Jessica?!" He screamed and runned towards the phone. Calling 911.

The dark lord glared at your back slightly, and I almost smiled at the sight.

"You wish you could come through with me don't you."

He nodded, leaning against the wall. "I think it might be slightly suspicious if you turn up with a six foot snake, but I could be wrong of course."

I laughed a little, although it was edged with sadness "Yeah, I think it might look a little odd. Plus, I think Ryan would faint."

He snorted "And you care because...?"

"I suppose that's true" I mused, chuckling lightly. He smiled sadly as I hugged him.

"I'll see you soon Lileath" He promised, and I nodded, waving him goodbye as I stepped through the hole, although I felt him wait there for quite some time after I left, as if contemplating joining me despite all the problems it'd cause. I glanced back once but fell into step with you, not wanting to look odd to the small groups of people that were starting to emerge.

Saw a small group of people emerging. Got a glance of Ryan, Alex, Sophie and Megan. I waved at them, and they wanted me to come over. I shook my head, as I rather wanted to go my room, clean up a bit and change into my robe.

I saw something in the distance, coming towards us, towards me... I blinked my eyes, tried to look up but the sun was too bright.
It was coming closer, and that's when I realised what it was. An owl, but what was it doing out here? Not in the owlery and not on a mission? Was it hurt?

That's when it suddenly sat down at my hand as I streatched it out. I wrinkled my eyebrows and looked curious at it.
It was holding a letter, and was squeaking as he wanted me to take it. My name stood in big letters on the letter, so it was no mistake it was mine. With red letters under my name it said "urgent, open at once." I swallowed and felt a little scared.
Took it out of the claws to the owl, and as I didn't have any treats, I petted him a little before my fully attention was to the letter.
Why was I so scared to open it? I took a deep breath, ignoring everything around me. I knew you were there still, beside me. Everything froze as I opened it.
"Your mother is ill. We are at the hospital, tell your siblings and please come as fast as possible."
My heart started to beat fast. Felt I was going to faint, but I pulled myself together. Putted the letter in my pocket and continued walking fast towards the castle. The adrenaline rushing through him. I needed to find my brother and sister at once!

I smiled slightly sadly as I looked at everyone, Sophie and Megan glaring at me coldly so I just looked at them flatly back. I briefly wondered whether Wyatts injuries had been fixed, and who'd done it. I was about to go over and ask Alex (as I figured you'd probably want some time to relax by yourself) when a letter arrived for you, and glancing at it - and your expression - I knew it couldn't of been good.

"Eric?" I ask concerned as I hurried after you, frowning deeply. It must of been really bad news, you hadn't looked this bad when you were punching the floor. I bit my lip - it couldn't of been my fault again... right?

I was sweating of stressing. I stopped up a bith to try to breath, but it felt like I couldn’t get air. You had caught up with me.
«Lileath, can you do me a favor?» I breathed heavy. «Find my little sister. I think she caught your eye at the sorting, our first day back at school. She is in Gryffindoor.» I looked into your eyes. «I’m going to find my brother and I need to find them both, quick. It’s an emergency.» I swallowed and held back the tears. I could hate and be embarrased about my parents. But after all, she was my mother. And I only had one.

I nodded "Sylvia foster, right?"

I asked before hurrying off to the great hall. Getting up to the Gryffindor table was going to be a laugh, I'd be lucky if Harry didn't try and catapult me out the room. Normally I would've been reluctant to reveal that I knew who your sister was, but after all, I was hoping it wouldn't ever come to a situation where I'd have to emotionally blackmail you. I didn't have time to reflect on this shift in attitude as I walked towards the Gryffindor table, and as predicted I could feel myself being watched - not just by Harry, but by most the Gryffindors on the table.

"Sylvia foster?" I asked, and a small first year stuck her head up, looking at me with apprehension.

"What do you want with her?" Harry demeaned across the table, his wand out. I looked at him coldly.

"Her brother wants to see her. It's urgent."

He snorted in disbelief "We seem to enjoy being an errand runner for men don't we Lileath? I'm sure your father loves it when you drop to your knees in front of him."

I flushed an angry red at his comment and the jeers that came from the rest of the table as I took her back to where I'd left you.

I hurried around in the halls. Going past classroom after classroom, at this point I wished I knew his timetable. I spotted one of Phillip’s friends. «Hey Michel!» I yelled as I ran towards him. He looked up. «What’s up Eric?» I rolled my eyes, he tried so hard to be cool. «Where is Phil?» probably running sweat from my forhead and he probably saw how stressed I was. He got a bith nervous and scared. «At the... quidditch pitch.» he cleared his throat after stuttering. I nodded and ran of to the field.

Happy to see that he weren’t in the air. I started to yell. «Sorry teacher, I need to borrow Phillip. Family emergency.» Madam Hooch raised her eyebrow at me. «It better be!» she snapped. I ran out in the pitch and took a grip at Phillip’s cloak. «What are you doing? Your embarrasing me. Let go of me!» he yelled at me. I answered determinded. «no, you are coming with me.» I dragged him back to our meeting place.

Seeing you already had brought back my sister. «Thank you Lileath.» I gave you a quick hug. I sat down so I was about the same hight as both of my siblings. I started to whisper so the whole school wouldn’t hear. «listen to me. Don’t freak out or cry.» I took a glance at Sylvia. «It’s going to be okay. But mum is ill and at the hospital.» they both gasped and I could see Sylvia’s eyes fill up with tears. «Shh. Go pack some stuff and I will talk to Dumbledore. Then we will go to visit mum.» They nodded, I gave them both a hug. «Hurry up now!» I smiled at them as they ran off to their rooms.

I frowned as I walked along with your sister, she might've been short but she was certainly loud and persistent enough. No wonder she was in Gryffindor.

"What's happened? Tell me!"

I sighed a little. Great, now I had an eleven year old pounding me for answers I couldn't give. I didn't blame her, especially with how concerned you'd been, but that's not to say I was enjoying myself. I nodded towards you as I saw you turn the corner, all but dragging some reluctant forth year along.

"Your brother is here now, he'll tell you" I said, trying my best to sound gentle and not menacing. I frowned as I heard your explanation, and I hoped two things - the first was that she'd be okay, and the second was that we hadn't been involved. Blinking slightly, I paused as you hugged me. Trying not to look too surprised, I watched them as they left, noting how good you seemed with her. Far better than what I'd be - what I was - in these types of situations.

"Do you know how bad it is?"

I had loads of questions I wanted to ask you, but I relented. Asking you what I should do didn't exactly seem appropriate.

«No, it didn’t say much in the letter.» I sighed. I stood up. «I know she is a muggle and well your bloodline doesn’t approve of such. I also think it’s wrong, but well she is my mother.» I looked away for some time and sighed. Walked over to you and looked into your eyes. They were pretty, spellbinding. I wanted so badly to kiss you right now, as I was sad and stressed at the same time. But there was too many eyes here. «I’m gonna go to the owlery and send a letter that we will be on our way. Then I’m going to go talk to Dumbledore.» I nodded at you. «catch you later.» I half-smiled and started to walk to the owlery.

I frowned slightly at your initial statement, wanting to contradict you but it was point less, as we both knew it'd be a lie. Smiling slightly, I hugged you tightly, not particularly caring who was watching.

"She'll be alright Eric. Magic can cure most ailments, and although I'm reluctant to admit it, muggle medicine isn't as redundant as it used to be."

I stepped away from you, knowing it'd be harder for you the longer you lingered, but I squeezed your hand. I guessed I was feeling more emotional than usual.

"I'll see you later Eric" I looked at you until you walked out of sight to the owlry, and walked to charms.

As I came into the owlry I fell onto my knees. Taking a deep breath and finally feeling myself get oxygen. All the owls was staring at me and one came over, sat at my shoulder as I petted him. I stood up and he flew of me. I wrote a quick letter to my dad. «We will be on our way as fast as possible.» I locked it and wrote on the name and adress. Then gave it to one of the owls that looked sharp and fast.

I hanged around in the owlry for some time. Then suddenly a new owl came inside with a letter. Coming towards me. This was a polite and very high class owl by the look of it. I took the letter, once again my name was on it. Another handwriting. What was going on? I opened it fast.

«Eric Denver.

I hope you remember me. I met you at the dark lord’s garden party.

My name is Jacob Foster. And me and my wife would love to invite you and Lileath to dinner at our house. Tomorrow night, at the time that suits you. I hope it’s not too short notice.

I perceived you as a pleasent young man, and I would like to get to know you. Send me your answer as fast as possible.

Greetings
Jacob Foster»

I was in shock, sitting there with my mouth open. Was this legit? Was it a joke? I blinked and shook my head. It was real. Holy jesus. I coughed and tried to understand the letter. Tomorrow night... but mother...
I had to make a choice.

I had waited for this day my whole life, and I couldn’t let it slip away. I sighed. Phillip and Sylvia could go see mother. This was more important. My mother would be fine, she would survive and I could see her any time.

I knew that this invite was more than just dinner, they wanted me to be on the right side. He liked me, it made me happy.

Now I only had to ask you to come with me...

I rapped my nails on my book in charms, making little noise compared to the wooden tables. Reading the first line, I didn't take it in as I was still worried about you. Frowning, I read it again, only to absorb the first few words and have the rest slip away. Thankfully, much of the class looked lost, so maybe it was that I wasn't in the right mindset to study material of this level right now. I read it swiftly, attempting at least to gauge a basic grasp of the theory, but ended up being more confused than when I started. Rolling my eyes, I picked up my quill and started to annotate - or in my case, translate from what I swear wouldn't of passed as English in Shakespearean times - the lengthy work. Why couldn't someone of written an up to date version of this theory, I'll never know. Still, at least it kept me occupied.

Sick to my stomach as I walked over to Dumbledore’s office. The way up to him opened without even saying the password. It was the scary thing about Dumbledore, he knew almost everything. I went up and into an empty office. Only to see his felix.
«welcome Eric. You wanted to talk to me?» I heared a voice came from up the stairs, thats when I saw him. I nodded. «Yes professor.» he came down and sat down in his chair. «tell me child.» he gave me a warming smile. «My mother is ill, so my siblings: Sylvia and Phillip Denver from gryffindor will go to see her.» he nodded. «I’’m sorry to hear about your mother. But what about you? Aren’t you going with them?» I shook my head. «No professor, I have other buisness I need to attend.» he stood up. «Very well. Go make sure your siblings will be on their way to their mother, as soon as possible.» He winked at me and smiled. «Thank you professor.» I said as I went out of his office. Feeling heavy and horrible about myself. Felt like I had broken my own heart.

I walked towards gryffindor common room to find my siblings.

Charms ended with Malfoy still kicking off about the state of the language, and I couldn't help but laugh slightly. It'd do no good lingering on thoughts about you all day, especially as there was nothing I could do about it. I frowned, but quickly schooled my face out of it. Even if we did start dating, and you survived long enough for us to meet your parents, they'd never approve. In fact, they'd probably blame me for this. Maybe it was my fault for exposing you to this, but you'd of found a way regardless. Even if it might not of brought you to the Dark Lords attention. I internally groaned - later, I'll contemplate it all later. Like fifty years later. I walked to the Slytherin common room and sat down, eating some chocolate.

I asked Snape as polite as possible if he could make a portkey for my siblings. After some convincing he agreed on it. I wasn’t that bad of a brother that I would make them take the train all by themselves. And also it was an emergency so they had to get there fast.

Snape wasn’t a fan of the muggle world so I had to go with them and get back again. We counted to three as we all took a grip onto the portkey. I was so dizzy and close to puking, I couldn’t even imagine how Sylvia and Phillip had it, as it also were their first time using one.

We ended up in a closet full of things to wash and clean with. I hugged them. «Ask the nurses where she is. They will help you.» I smiled as I saw them went out of the closet. Happy Snape had made so the portkey also could take me back. I touched it and came back to Hogwarts. I walked up to the common room, slammed myself down in a chair.

I was a horrible humanbeing, I was sick of what I had done and that I hadn’t gone with them. I sighed and felt a lump in my stomach growing. The worry about her was still there.

I blinked in surprise as you walked in, having been draped over a chair, my legs swinging slightly over the armrest as I ate some chocolate. I saw how upset you looked and the way you'd slammed yourself into the chair, as if you blamed yourself for something. I swung round and put the chocolates on the table, looking at you seriously with a hint of sadness.

"Eric...?" I asked quietly, figuring there would only be one reason why you were here. Well, maybe two, but both were not scenarios I wanted playing out in my mind, so I dismissed them. Or tried to, the lingering thought of them stubbornly remained as I looked at you in worry.

I hadn’t spotted you before you talked. I jumped a little. «Oh hey.» I smiled at you, sadly enough it was a fake smile. «Sorry I didn’t see you.» I rubbed myself in the face, to be more awake. «I made my siblings go without me.» I said sadly. I didn’t want you to take pitty on me. And also I had some great news to tell you and something to ask you... even if I should remain strong, because of my choice. I could just feel one thing, and that was sadness.

Back at the hospital:

Phillip and Sylvia was running through the halls to find a nurse, a doctor, just someone. They stopped up when they saw a doctor talking to a nurse. Phillip almost screamed. «Me and my sister,» he looked at Sylvia. «Is looking for my mother, Jessica Denver. Which room is she in?» they were both out of breath and the doctor looked like he was in shock by the sight of these two small children. The nurse looked at them with a kind look, she thought they were so cute. «come with me children, I will help you find your mother.» she took them in each hand over to a desk. She let go of their hand and looked in a book. She held their hand again. «Follow me.» they walked past sick people that smelled like death. Sylvia pinched over her nose as the smell was horrible. They were kids so they didn’t understand. But they were in the seriously injured area.

Finally they were at the right door. The nurse opened it and they finally saw their mother laying in a bed. And their father standing beside. With calm and small steps both of them walked towards their mother. «Mother?» cried Sylvia. Phillip was shaking. «Oh, come here my babies.» she hugged them with the strenght she had left. Jessica looked around, trying to find Eric. «Where is Eric?» she said in surprise and worry. The machine was starting to make sound, beeping. The nurses rushed into the room again. The children looked at each other with tairs in their eyes.

I frowned, able to tell your smile was fake as I sat on the table in front of you, thankfully being light enough that it wasn't an issue. I wanted to stroke your hair back, but didn't, knowing that you probably wouldn't want me to. And that it'd likely cause you to crack, and I doubted you'd want to do that in public. I nearly asked you why, but relented, thinking there was more to this than I knew. I glanced around at everyone, we were getting some pretty odd looks, including from Malfoy.

"I know somewhere we could talk in private, if you need to. Or if you just need some space."

There certainly wasn't a lack of that down there, and it wasn't like many people could get in. Me and Harry were in fact the only people here that could, and Harry hadn't gone down there in years. Which had led me to furnish it, and I had to admit I thought it was quite nice. Better than the common room anyways. Being soundproof was also a plus.

«yes, sounds nice. I would like that.»
I stood up and waited on you.

//

«Where is Eric?» Joseph asked his two other children, he was mad but not at them. They both got scared to see their father like this, as they weren’t used to it. «Ehm... he needed to stay at school, he had some buisness he needed to do.» Sylvia said in her cute voice, but you could hear she was a bith shaky and unsure. «How dare he,» their father hissed. «To not come see his mother.» he hit his hand in the table, the children jumped. «Sorry... I’m not mad at you. Make the nurses give you some food.» He kissed them both and looked as they walked out of the room.

Jessica was starting to wake up. He walked over to her. «Are you okay?» he stroke her chin and looked worried at her. She nodded. «Where is my babies?» she said with a rusty voice. «They are getting some food.» he smiled. She nodded once again as she was too weak to speak too much. A tair fell down her face. «He didn’t come. Right?» He looked down sadly and nodded. «Yes, he stayed at school. Had some buisness he needed to do.» she could see he got angry as he said it. «How dare he? He has gone over the line!» he screamed. «Hush. Calm down.» she answered him and closed her eyes as the tairs fell down, one by one. «you are breathing heavy, having blue lips and coughing blood. And he isn’t worried enough to come see you.» he started to cry himself. He layed in bed beside her and they cried silently. He held around her as she was weak and cold.

I nodded, taking your hand as I stood up and walked out of the common room with you, dropping your hand only to climb through the hole. I stayed quiet as I walked towards the second floor, glad for the few people lingering around the corridors rather than the usual stampede there was. Walking to the out of order bathroom, I glanced around before hurriedly entering, shutting the door behind us. Swallowing lightly, I placed my hand on the wall.

"Open" I hissed, and a narrow, winding stairway opened up, seemingly going into darkness. I lit my wand as I inclined for you to follow, and contrary to logic, the walls got better maintained the further we went down until we reached a large room, the bright touches reflecting off the pale, shining stone.

«You know it’s kinda sexy when you speak in parseltongue.» I smirked at you but you could probably not see it in the darkness.
Then we were here, I had heared all about it, but I was greater than I imagined.
I looked around in amusement.

//

«Your wife got a blood clots in her lunges. she also has heart cramps that is the reason for the pain in her chest. It also gets worse with stress.» the doctor said to Joseph. He nodded and swallowed. «But she would be fine, right?» he felt the tears pressing on. «yes, but first of all your wife need to calm down, she can’t stress at all.» the doctor wrote something down at his papers. «I will check on her soon, and come with some medicine. Until then, just make her stay calm.» he went out of the room. The kids were playing with the toys while Joseph had talked with the doctor, and he would just let them stay there for a while. They were kids, they didn’t understand, the important thing was that they knew their mother would be okay. He walked over to Jessica and took her hand, holding it. She was asleep, so she was calm for now.

I laughed a little, blushing. "Really?" I asked curiously, waving a hand to fill the large circular pool in the centre of the room. Steam rose from the hot water, bubbles covering the surface as I walked to a cabinet, opening it to reveal a selection of different alcohols and drinks. The edges of the room was furnished was various chairs, tables, wardrobes, bookcases, chests and cabinets, leaving a comfortable amount of room between the pool and the furniture.

I poured myself a glass of liquor, asking if you'd also like a drink. I almost laughed to myself at how romanticized this would be if not for why we were down here.
