Realistic or Modern Harbour View Psychiatric Hospital

((i g2g will post later!))

Charlie looked at Katie, she knew he had voices in his head. "Yeah, they are a... bitch" Charlie replied. When she asked him what he liked to do for fun another familiar voice, a male high pitched voice popped into his head Say sex, sex, SEX, SEX! SEEEXXX! Charlie scrambled for an answer "Uhhh s- reading and stuff" He quickly said hoping that the s- didnt give away what he almost said, he scratched the back of his head nervously.

Katie nodded her head in response.

"I like reading, but sometimes I can't concentrate enough and I get distracted and then I lose my place in the book and then I forget!"

She looked to Charlie and patted his knee.

"Don't worry, Charlie! You'll find a way to wrestle the demons in your head!"

Katie suddenly jumped off the couch and skipped over to a nurse.

"Val! Val!" She called before hugging the female nurse. "Did you have a nice time on holiday? Did you go into the sea? Did you eat weird food?"

Val smiled kindly and began to answer Katie's barrage of questions.

Cassie looked around nervously. Her eyes stopped on Charlie. He was new. New material. Cassie flipped to another blank page in her sketchbook. It was filling up quickly. Soon, there would be no blank pages. She began to sketch the eyes first. The eyes always came first. Eyes were always so beautiful. They were her favorite parts about people. She put so much detail into all of her sketches. She looks up and notices Katie throw herself onto one of the female nurses. Cassie looked back down, mouthing murmurs but nothing ever coming out. She liked the way Charlie scratched the back of his head. That was how she was going to draw him.

Cassie always felt like she didn't belong here. She didn't hear voices, or have schizophrenic paranoia or anything of the sort. She just didn't want to eat and liked to give herself cuts and bruises and burns. Did that qualify her as needing psychological help? The nurses wouldn't let her wear anything but hospital gowns. They said she could wear real clothes once she began to eat. But Cassie didn't want to eat. She knew better. Before she came to the hospital, she had techniques. And now she couldn't use them. For instance, every time she felt hungry, she would snap a rubber band that was around her wrist, popping it onto her skin. Food equaled pain. But now, she wasn't allowed to wear bands around her wrist. She sighed and looked at her drawing.

Nikki glances around the room a bit more, before turning her attention to her fingernails. The people at the hospital cut them off down to her fingertips, so that she wouldn't use them to hurt herself. She wasn't even aloud to paint them, the people at the hospital were afraid she would poison herself with it. Nikki rests her head on her knees and starts humming, not caring how loud it was. She was humming along to a song that Papa Derrick would sing to her on Christmas. She couldn't remember the name to it, but it had something to do with buying shoes. She liked shoes, all kinds of shoes. She glances down at her bare feet as she hums and wriggles her toes.

Soon she stops humming and puts her feet down, she decided to try and socialize with somebody, so she walks to a couch nearby and sits down. She wasn't going to speak first, she had already done that enough this day, instead she just hummed another verse and shot glances at the people around her.

Ella woke up in a little room, barefoot, and in her regular clothes, thank god. She looked around and on the dresser was a notebook and a pen. She instantly disliked the notebook, for it was pink. She hated pink, it reminded her of something she didn't wanna remember, Vanessa. She looked around for her teddy bear, it was clean and on the bed with her. She picked it up and hugged it, then grabbed the pen. She hated the pen too, it was pink, but luckily the ink was black. She grabbed the notebook, kissed her bear, and walked out of her room. She decided to explore the place.

After walking the halls for ten minutes, she saw a little meeting room, filled with people around her age and older. She also noticed all the places to sit were taken, so she sat in the corner, away from anyone and started to write. Writing was one of the things she did, besides sleep and eat. She barely did that anymore because she was so sick of eating at the hospital. She thought of going to say hi to someone, then she remembered what her killer said about talking those months back. She decided it was best to sit alone and write. She started to brainstorm ideas, but she saw someone look at her and got scared. She then ran back to her room, regretting leaving.

Charlie watched as Katie walked off to "hassle" a nurse. He looked around for the other girl, Alice who he had very briefly met in the lobby but he couldnt spot her. He did however, spot someone who seemed to be drawing and looking at him alot, was she drawing him? then suddenly someone sat down quite close to him on the couch, humming loudly as if he wasnt there, all this made Charlie a little uncomfortable, He stood up and walked out of the day room giving the girl humming loudly a quick strained smile. "Where are you going?" He heard someone call, but he didnt reply or turn to see who it was who had called to him.

He walked down the first narrow hallway, it was quite dark and white but not a clean white, a dirty and depressing sort of white. He didnt even know where he was going, he just knew he didnt like the day room to much, it was probably because everyone was a little strange but then again he was probably strange to them too.
(My notifications weren't working, I'm so, so sorry. >.< Is it okay if I pick up where you are Jacob?)
sure but please post in OOC from now on, with these sort of things.

Lucas found himself standing in a dark hallway that smelled vaguely like mold. In the blink of an eye, he had shifted from the day room to....wherever this was. He really was losing his mind, wasn't he? He turned around at the sound of footsteps to see a boy his own age coming towards him.

"Hello?" He called out to him. But maybe the boy didn't exist. Maybe he was hallucinating too, like everyone else. What if all of this was a hallucination?

Charlie continued walking down the long dark hallway that didnt seem to end, his shadow loomed above him and he noticed scratch marks on the wall Probably from that girl, Samantha He thought to himself, suddenly a figure appeared at the end of the hallway. He couldnt make out much detail except that it was a male, probably about his age. "Hello?" The figure called to him from the other end of the hall. Charlie froze, Afterall he was in a Mental institution, thought of the figure stabbing him repeatedly flashed in his mind, probably due to his Schizophrenia. "Hi" Charlie replied trying to sound normal.

He looked to his left, there was another of the what seemed like hundreds of plastic doors. If worse came to worse he could hopefully break down the door and take refuge in the room until security came. He took a small step towards the white plastic door, he dubted the boy would really notice.

Lucas approached meekly, massaging his aching head. The boy ahead of him seemed skittish for some reason. Had Lucas done something that would give people a reason to be scared? Had Luke already burnt every bridge he could set fire to?

"Where am I?" Lucas asked. "Like, am I still in the hospital?" A glance told him that the walls were white, but they had a brownish tint to them, so perhaps they had let him go.

"Uh.. yeah you are" This boy obviously had some memory problems, Charlie looked back down the hallway trying to spot a staff member, a nurse or anyone and before he could say or do much more he saw the blonde haired woman in the white labcoat walking down the hall from behind the stange boy. "Ah, i see you've met Lucas" The woman said swiftly, when she reached Lucas she said "This is Charlie, he will be your new roommate" Gesturing to Charlie "I trust that you'll show him around?" And with that she continued walking down the hall. Great Charlie thought to himself as he watched the woman walk down the hall.

Ella was cuddling her bear when she heard a conversation going on down the halls. She got scared and cuddled her teddy closer. She decided to see if anyone was there, and at the very end of the hall she saw two boys. Being nervous and scared, she grabbed her book, pen, and teddy, then ran back to the day room. She sat back in her corner and gave her teddy a kiss. Without her teddy, she probably wouldn't be alive. It gave her hope and sometimes it made her smile. She remembered the day Vanessa gave it to her and that day was the best bad day of her life. She put her bear in her lap and opened her book back up. She started to write a story about a girl with anger problems when she realized that she was completely unnoticed. The only things she heard are the boys down the hall, and some humming. The humming was horribly off key and distracted her more than anything. She tried to keep writing but the humming was driving her insane.

After about 10 minutes of attempting to write, she got sick of the humming and gave up. She hugged her teddy and cried softly into his fluffy belly. Not only did she have no clue where she was, but she hated it and wanted to go home. She had then realized she didn't know what home was anymore. It had been more than a year since she was kidnapped and hasn't been home since. She didn't even remember her family. Her mom died in childbirth, her dad always worked, and she had no siblings. She hasn't even seen her dad since before she left for school that day. All the memories returning weren't doing her much good, but since she made no sounds, her sobs were still inaudible. The only sign of life from her at that moment were the tears streaming down her face and her grip on the bear tightening.

"Thanks for showing me around, even though you don't really want to...."Lucas trailed off awkwardly. What was he even trying to say? He began to leave the hall and catch up to Charlie, but noticed a girl in the middle of a breakdown. He was torn as to whether or not to stop. He had no idea what to say to anyone who ended up here. What could you say to bring hope to someone in an institution? However, his conscience won out and he stopped, asking Charlie, "Should we go talk to her? She seems really upset..."

Charlie was puzzled "I thought you were showing me around.." Afterall Charlie had only just arrived at Harbour View. They started walking down the bleak and dark hallway back towards the day room. They turned a corner in silence when they both spotted a girl, probably about their age sitting in the middle of the hall with her knees tucked up to her head, sort of in a ball. She seemed to be shaking a little as if she was crying but Charlie couldn't hear any sobs, or any noise at all for that matter. "Er.. I dont.. know" Charlie said in response to Lucas's question. They both in the hall staring at the girl, Charlie quickly realized that this probably wasnt the best thing to do. "Um.. are you ok?" He called out to the girl.

I looked up and the two boys from earlier were staring at me. I wanted to scream but I knew I couldn't. They had asked me if I was alright. I picked up my pad and wrote Yea, Fine. Why? I realized there were still tears on my face so I wiped them away and tried to look confident and alright, but they probably knew I wasn't. Fear took over as I started thinking of the killer, and how they acted like him.
