Halls of Divinity [Dawn of Divinity]

Wriath

Wriath scratched his chin as Kuas made his appearance in to the Hall.
"Well regardless of it, our actions will always change the void." He pondered the question at hand about the chaining and never changing problem. "Well if you don't want something to change, then don't let it decay. A long life it will need, or forever youth should be blessed. But now change will happen no matter what, and we must now think of ways not to destroy change, but to simple circumvent it."

Auryn

'
"Do not fret, brother." Auryn reassured Kuas, patting the Dragon God's wing comfortingly, "There is a beauty in change, but there are faults in decay as well. But change is never constant itself, as strange as that may sound. Although everything may change, how much it will change will be up to you. I will help you if you so wish."

Kuas

'
Kuas smiled as he drew back from his work. "There," he said, tapping his muzzle gently with a claw. "If things must change, at least they will persist. And at least the change is rational."

Auryn

"Very impressive brother." Auryn nodded in approval, clearly impressed at his brother's reality shaping capabilities, "Although you might anger Father for acting so rashly."

Xyros

Standing still for a brief moment, Xyros looks around at the others. "You have all railed against my creations, and sought to shackle them. But without my works your creations will be nothing but monuments. Just as we are alive, so must the world we create be. And to be alive is to change." And then he began moving fast, embracing truly the idea of Motion. Just before his steps take him to explore once more and see what else he can create, he snapped his head back and said: "Permanent things are only for those who should have stayed as formless parts of the Void."<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_07/jensen(1).jpg.74505b8bf185fb11015664a185f94eb1.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="24040" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_07/jensen(1).jpg.74505b8bf185fb11015664a185f94eb1.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Kuas

'
Kuas sighed at his chaotic brother. "This is foolish. If we continue to undermine one another, than nothing will ever be accomplished."

"I propose a compromise. This
disorganization, this change is obviously of great import to you, so much so that you would go against the rest of our number to incorporate it," he said, raising a finger. "What I propose is this. Change and chaos shall be a force of nature, but in their very unpredictability, they will be predictable. If one knows the initial conditions of a system that is affected by your creation, they should be able to comprehend it. In each pound of chaos, there should be an ounce of law."

The dragon god shrugged "Or we could keep fighting one another. Up to you."

Lividus

"
Behold! My brethren!" Lividus exclaimed loudly, upon it's return to the Hall. "No longer, must we step on each others' proverbial toes! I have forged enough for us all to play and experiment with, and, there is still room to spare." It floated further into the Hall, "Each world around Helios, besides Celestis, I have chosen to name after each of you." It turned to Xyros and Wriath, "Including you two." It floated slightly closer and hemmed, "I do not seek to limit either of you, or to bind you to stillness. Quite the opposite in fact- I would much like to see both of your potentials unleashed. However, for the time being, we should all strive together, to forge a solid basis for future creation. One with logic, sense and laws- But also room for irrational change and chaotic motion. Chaos and Order, after all, are not mutually exclusive, when you get right down to it."

Auryn

Auryn
nodded his head. "Agreed, brother. But I must apologize. I need to enter stasis to meditate. You shall see me again soon. Until I awaken again," Auryn nods before he vanishes before them.

Wriath

Wriath just rolled his eyes as he shock his head at Lividus.
"I am doing what a god dose. But it just seems all so far mundane." He said with a huff "As much as I hate pure and utter dysfunction as" He waved to Syros for a perfect example of a dysfunctional act going astray. "There is a point of creating something new and interesting, and then there is creating something thats been done, and done and boring. A GIANT SUPER ROCK. For all the gods to litter and spread all over, could have been fun. Now there is planets, and stars, and emptiness once again." He huffed to him self as he looked to see the Acts done forming as the effect the realm of creation. "So much of an arena battle."

Kuas

'
"While I certainly see that creating across a massive plane could have been interesting, brother," Kuas says, shrugging, "At least this way we will not be constantly undoing one another's creations. Those that wish for order will have order, and those that long for chaos will have chaos, without the need for a contest of supremacy between the two. I for one think that Lividus' idea was inspired."

Allazo watched as the others argued and bickered and tried to figure out whose power was bigger so to say. “If we keep setting restrictions and rules and orders and changes and so on to infinitum, then these worlds, this void, this nothing becoming something will eventually stagnate… Fate shouldn’t be something ordered and structured, it shouldn’t be hopelessly chaotic either, it should be allowed to determine itself while we guide it. A balance is needed between the chaos and order it is something I am striving to create and it is my hopes that by sewing my own existence into the Celestis that the fate of the Devine will become its own, that it will be able to forge its own way while we guide it in the proper direction.”

Slithering

Arrival!
Upon entering the Halls of Divinity, an empathic jumble of emotion and sensory information exudes itself from the god, spreading its message.

Emotion! Gracious humble acknowledgement, others. Connection alliance commencement, home creation entrance occurrence? Self assistance others. Excitement!

Being acknowledging creating, thinking... observing? Monitoring? Hesitating, following exciting overwhelming compelling, capitulating: joining! Being assisting modifying creating, beginning modifying favoring designating rolling. Increasing moving, thinking? Agreeing, hoping.

Narlon Tarlens

The symbol that was Narlon Tarlens appeared next to the confused jumble of thoughts and willed it's words into being.
"Greetings brother. Welcome to our great endeavor." It pauses and surveys it's brother for a moment before speaking again. "Perhaps it would be best if you took on a physical form? I suspect that we will eventually need to appear to our creations, and a form that they could comprehend would no doubt assist when that occurs."

Slithering

OUTRAGE!
Slithering undulates frantically, many tendrils curling and shaking in protest.

Allazo experiment ruination. Allazo projectile blood divine surface planet self ownership! Empty notification! Empty consultation! Empty discussion associate divines! Totality group planets useless, current. Frustration! Anger!

Slithering pauses, deep in thought, then reaches out towards the void.

Fixing.

Kuas

'
The dragon god nodded, tentatively patting his outlandish sibling on the back? in a conciliatory manner. "I understand your frustration, Slithering, and look forward to seeing your solution. I have managed to contain the infection on Kuas and turn it to my own ends, but I tremble to think what might be in store for the worlds that are not capable of doing so."

He smiles, showing a mouth of razor-sharp teeth. "Perhaps we can ally ourselves. Your experimental rigor and my ordered mind could serve one another quite well, I think."

That said, he extended a claw, an offer of friendship, but, more importantly, partnership to the strange god.

Slithering

Its action completed, Slithering calms dramatically. It does not acknowledge Kuas' words, instead curling inwards and ceasing its empathic projections, seemingly lost in its thoughts.
Allazo

'
There I have fixed your little problem Slithering, never again will life trouble your poor little planet. If you did not want my gift you should have simply said so and I would have been more then willing to fix it.

2n2808.jpg

Kuas

'
"Restricting another god's power?" Kuas asks, looking down upon the curled-into-a-ball Slithering and Allazo. "Father will not like that at all."

Turning away from the rest of the gods and spreading his wings, he pauses briefly to look over his shoulder. "Perhaps someone will soon create the concept of maturity, so that in your petty vengeance, you will be able to embody its opposite. Should any of you wish to work in tandem, as I have offered twice now, please do come find me. I'm sure that together we can forge wonders almost beyond imagining."

With that, he takes off, returning to his Overworld on Kuas to return to his great work.

Auryn

Auryn
awoke from his slumber before turning to his fellow gods. "I see you have been busy in my absence." he says.

"If you excuse me, there is much work that I need to do."

Father why was my planet punished, Is it not the right of the god who created something to take it away? If it was I who created the life then should it not be my right to take it away, whats more slithering saw my gifts as nothing more then a plague or a blight to be squashed and instead of asking me to fix it instead made it so that the life I created would always be destroyed. he thought for a bit confused. Why then is it I was punished and not he? he asked trying to understand.

Kuas

'
A rush of wings accompanies the return of the Dragon God, fresh from the drying of his planet. Having heard the complaint of Allazo, he rolls his eyes. "You behave as though life was your idea exclusively, but you did not create it from whole cloth, only imposed it on those that did not wish for its intrusion. Slithering and Sarasti had both seeded their planets with life well before you deemed it necessary to bleed upon the whole of the cosmos. When his experiments were ruined by your intrusion, our brother introduced a measure of containing the contagion. Was it overkill? Probably. Was it against the will of Ao? No."

As he speaks, Kuas paces back and forth along the hall, tapping his chin with one claw. "However, in retaliation, you endeavored to steal away that which our he had created, like a petulant child whose gift of an interesting specimen is rejected by its sibling who finds it disgusting. Ao did not punish you for your revocation of YOUR gift, but for your attempt to destroy Slithering's, and to inhibit his capacity to create." He nods, then turns to Auryn.

"I did not, in truth, return with the intent of clarifying our father's will. I returned because I heard that you had awoken from your slumber." Kuas continues, holding out one clawed hand to the returned god. "Your mind is tidy and understanding, and your works are majestic. Together, we could create things of matchless beauty and purpose. Will you join me?"

Allazo rolled his eyes to kuas I was not speaking to you I was addressing father, I only sought to take back that witch I created.

Auryn

"NARLON!"
a voice shouted. It was a terrible noise, so loud that all of creation and the Halls shook at the force. Auryn manifested before the gods, but his markings sparked with restrained power and force. His eyes burned bloody crimson and his own energy shook all of creation.

"How dare you." he snarled, his rage boiling and frightening to behold, "You branded my champion with symbols, without her consent or mine! You took her from her place, where she could illuminate all, and chained her to Celestis." he grit his teeth and he glared at his brother. It is clear that he is barely stopping himself from ripping him apart. "Change Nocturne back, or else..." His aura and powers blazed, its presence almost choking to everyone present. It was truly the wrath of a shaper of reality.

"We shall see if Gods can truly die."

Wriath

'
"The only God that would die, is the one that would dare cast the first stone." Wriath explained as he over heard Auryn's rant "Only Ao can cause such a feat, only another god can crush is another god's ego. I would try do to that first before you hurt your self."

The glyph that is Narlon Tarlens appears, taking up the entire floor of the Halls of Divinity.

"Brother, why do you speak so?" Narlon Tarlens asks in a booming yet perplexed voice.

"A moon that does not have a planet is but a small planet. A moon that does not shine is nothing more than a rock floating in the void? Why would we create if we cannot make this fact known to that which we create? What is a champion if it is a moon that does not shine, if it is a moon that floats alone?" He paused and the symbol shrinks, before beginning to float in the air before Auryn.

"Besides. If it is that important to you, I shall undo my action." The rune faded away leaving a last sentence hanging in the air.

"I only wished to assist..."
