I could see my character having the need for quite a bit of random medical attention when she was running with the gangs.. maybe still might need it now and then, what with her job and all (she’s s demolition and obstruction/rubble remover.. etc)

I see that! Especially if she works in the scummy, gang-heavy area around Dark Gate or Underground -- where Proxy's sus hospital'd be at. Re-reading your CS, I just realized that Cass (Cas?) fits right in the middle between Proxy's annoyance of people who are serious 100% and people who aren't serious at all. XD
