Chris
After he asked the students to follow him a Ravenclaw girl spoke to him "Well, because I said so, and you are disturbing the sorting ceremony" As he spoke to Adelaide he felt that there were some others close to them who he could not see. It was a weird feeling, but just to be sure he mumbled an anti-disillusionment charm.
Chris noticed the red face of Sidney, someone had probably hit him. Chris couldn't understand it, today was the day school started again and new students were joining the houses. It was a time of fun, but people were making trouble.
Then a ghost turned up next to Chris. It didn't surprise him anymore "Well Professor, they were disturbing the sorting ceremony and asked them to come with me outside the great hall to figure it out before causing more trouble here" He looked at the Professor, he was a little bit irritated, the professor didn't really needed to stop by, but probably she was really competitive concerning house points
Then a girl made an excellent comment "Yes, Natalie, we'll take this outside, and you too Isabella"

╔ CRΞSSIDA ASH ╗

Cressida glanced back at her son who watched her curiously. She held up a finger signaling that she'll be just a moment. She left the Great Hall with the commotion of students and staff. Several others have joined them, which was good. It wouldn't be a private political moment between her and Chris VanDam then.

Ravenclaws can really be too much. Adelaide just proved her point. But it seemed Adelaide was impartial to her own fate, which Cressida surmised a measure of her innocence.

While she knew of the mark on Sidney's face, she still had to deal with people and their conclusions. She began asking the group, pointedly at Chris and the girls, "Okay, out with it. No vague blanket terms. Direct and concise preferably, a ghost hasn't got time. What was done to, um, disturb the sorting ceremony? Witnesses talk first, then the accused can have their say. No lies."

The flames next to her burst blue. Flamel, her one-eyed cat, leapt into the corridor and sat scrutinizing them. Thinking of Ben, she got impatient. "Well? If no one comes forward, I shall fetch Snape to make truth serum potions. He might fancy seeing you lot squirm."

╔ ΞBΞNΞZΞR ASH ╗

His mother had left the Great Hall. Their reunion was ceremonious but very brief. If he were to confess, yeah, it was disappointing but there were anything Ben learned from this, it was revealing. Sentiment was there but she had more duty as teacher than mother.

Ben studied the rest of his table of Slytherins. He took note of Seraphine Favager and Oliver Nott, sixth years, and Michael Federov, a third year. Something about them made his heart beat faster. Sure, they had a beauty about them. But it was something deeper, Ben realized. They all had a dark and perfect aura around them, and he liked being drawn to it. It was common that some people made trouble, but the ones that left scars were the rare people who were trouble. Being at a table among both types made Ben feel out of sorts, not completely an outlier, but a metamorphosis underway.

He recognized his bloodlust for darkness and perfection. He wanted trouble. Power. Respect. But he was only eleven years old with a lot to learn. He mused about how to make the most of his first year.

SidneySidney looked around at the girls around him, the two from his house and the one Ravenclaw. They only seemed interested in making small comments under their breath, though he didn't mind the ones Natalie was whispering, the were very true. What bothered him most was that those uninterested in making comments had found it fit to glare openly and viciously at him. As if he was the one at fault. Which, of course was partially true. If he had simply ignored Isabella none of this would have happened. In truth the only innocent party was Natalie. She had come to break it up between Isabella and Adelaide.

When the ghostly professor began to become impatient for an explanation and none of the others seemed interested in speaking up Sidney squirmed, biting his lip before stepping forward a little, careful to stay near he one person who didn't seem to have it out for him. He didn't know why he felt so tied to Natalie right now. He supposed it was because she was the only one not glaring at him. It didn't matter anyway.

"Professor, if I may explain," Sidney felt suddenly uncomfortable and fought not to close his mouth to gnaw on his lip. His hands knotted in his robes, aching to go rampant in his dark locks. "Natalie came to break up a spat between this Ravenclaw and Isabella." He paused to gesture sloppily towards the girls, specifically at Adelaide, his hand a bit tangled in his clothing. "The only reason she's involved is because Isabella screamed and she found that offensive. Something about disrupting her reading." Sidney swallowed now, knowing he would have to explain the crux of the matter. The reason behind his red cheek and Isabella's scream. "Truthfully Professor, Isabella and I were having a...disagreement, which is the reason it all started."

He didn't wish to continue though, and looked at the teacher with the most authority. The TA's didn't matter much to him, they seemed as much of a nuisance to the DADA teacher as they had been to the students. A little too eager to use their so called authority perhaps. But Sidney couldn't truly be irritated with them, but he was a little bit. He disliked this situation. And he blamed Isabella of course. As soon as he had finished and his mouth was closed he looked at the older girl with a blank expression, hoping his eyes portrayed as much of the anger and emotion he felt for the young woman who had been like a sister to him. Of course, she would have to explain how she got up and slapped him and set a silencing spell on him. Shame his friend had been so fast to reverse the spell, being unable to talk would have put him in an even more of a victim role. That would have been advantageous.

He looked at the professor with a properly apologetic expression, hoping she would take his explanation and then perhaps ask the other participant for the rest. After all, at this point in the narrative he was the victim. He still loathed getting into trouble for what he had done. It wasn't like the wasp had any ability to hurt her either, it was literally a napkin. Besides, her petty grudge had started it let her explain the reason his cheek was bruised. He would have to fess up about the charmed napkin of course but it seemed to him her offense was more hefty.

"a seer can never not choose to see"
Standing outside the Great Hall, Natalie took a deep breathe, enjoying the fresh air. Her eyes wandered briefly from the different ghost that passed by the group and she couldn't help but wonder what they did during their time. She loved the pranks they pulled, even if it was more distracting than ever. However, Natalie was brought out of her daze at hearing Professor Alexander's voice, another TA she found herself talking to from time to time. But, her eyes wandered towards the male as she tilted her head to the side. She recognized him but didn't dwell on his name for long until she found herself zoning into Adelaide's quips.

As her eyes found Adelaide's, Natalie only reached over and placed her hand on Adelaide's sleeves, softly comforting her without hovering or a word. However, when Adelaide's eyes glared over towards Sidney, Natalie titled her head to the side slightly. Biting her lips, a nasty habit - as her aunt always said - she picked up when she was nervous, Natalie watched as Adelaide went towards the wall, raising her book to show her determination of studying. But, a sad smile made its way towards Natalie's lips as she knew how irritable and truly "done" with the whole situation.

Honestly, Natalie didn't think it was such a big deal to warrant not only two professors, but three to "scold" them. However, hearing the ghost professor's snipe and slight agression on wanting to know what was going on, Natalie eyed her slightly, wondering why she kept looking into the Great Hall. Was someone there that she wanted to speak to? If so, who? Nevertheless, Natalie never moved from her spot, standing next to Sidney before he surprisingly stood forward, explaining the situation.

With a quirk brow and widened eyes, surprise was etched all over Natalie's face. She didn't expect him to tell the professors of her and Adelaide's slight innocence in the involvement. However, at the indication that everything started because of Sidney and Isabella, Natalie bit her lips once more, making it bleed slightly. Her thoughts went a mile a minute, trying to figure out a way to weasel everyone out before she stepped up, next to Sidney. "What Sidney has admitted is really what happened. Professors, we apologize for the disturbance. It truly won't happen again, however, if I may be so bold, we were all beginning to part ways before we were taken out here to relieve the misunderstandings and that only caused more fuel. May we, perhaps, put this behind us and get back to the ceremony? We have already caused enough disruptions and the embarrassment to ourselves for our out-of-handness."

As Natalie finished speaking her piece, she couldn't help but feel her heart beat erratically against her chest. Natalie never talked back to her professors before but, she wanted so much but to just drag Adelaide away from the TAs and the ghost professor and to just carry along. She honestly didn't think it was that much of a big deal and this whole scenario only well, frankly, made it worst in her opinion. Also, Natalie couldn't help but feel bad at what transpired between both Sidney and Isabella. If anything, she just as much wanted to bring him along as well to allow Isabella to cool down and for everyone to just let it go.
