Friend of Colors, Knight of the Pen, Cat Father
As he chatted with a number of students and fellow first years close to him, he surreptitiously took a quick glance at the pretty pink haired girl at the front of the long table. Even though he was 11 years of age, he couldn't help but admire the beauty at the other end of the table. Before anyone can notice, hopefully, he averts his gaze as a hint of pink colors his cheeks. 'I hope no one noticed that.' He thought as he returned to the conversation around him.
Alexander shrugs at Chase's explanation about his women troubles. He won't bother the young man just yet. Maybe when he reached Seventh Year he'll bother him about having a girlfriend by then.
"So you don't want to use the Summoning Charm because Tilly will scratch you silly? Try having some catnip around you when you do that. I heard from some friends that it help...calm any feline friend." Alexander said with a small grin.
"If she get's a tad bit bored most of the time then I think you should get another cat to keep her entertained; preferably the male variety. Also, believe in your companion. If Tilly could return to you despite the times and the state she seems to be in, then that's one strong cat you have. Easily bored? When she has a mate and a number of kittens in the future, she'll never be bored."
The pair had been walking around the hall, making sure to avoid the people and the ghosts as to not disturb the Disillusionment charm and the mild Confundus charm. For Alexander, it was relaxing to walk around. It could either be his wanderlust talking or his desire for some activity that made him start walking with Chase around the hall; even if it was done unconsciously. Ignoring Chase's query, his mind replayed the adventures and the journey he had underwent for the past 10 years. The laughter, the tears, the triumph, the depression, and all the other little feelings he kept inside slowly made their way to the forefront of his mind as they deftly made their way around the Great Hall.
"We'll sit down when the sorting is over, well actually I'll escort back to your table after the last kiddie has been sorted before I go back to my hidden place; and no, I cannot tell you why since it's part of the surprise." He said seriously in the end. The man really has a healthy appreciation for surprises due to his many surprises he encountered during his journey around the world.
"Besides, it might take some time since there are a lot of First Years today. That's a good sign. Means a lot of families can still produce magical children. It would be a true shame if the numbers suddenly dropped so low. The gods know we need more magical children. They are after the future of our world. Inheritors of our mistakes. Harbingers of change. Witnesses to our history..."
