Awesome, let me write his grand appearance!thekinginyellow said:Cool. He's accepted
He looks cool, I was originally wary of the neutral stance but he looks really well thought out and has a legitimate reason to be in that position.GasMaskie said:Oh man, I never thought I'd never see a Gundam RP get off the ground.
Name: Fenn Telwick
Nom de Guerre: Goddess, formerly The Black Rabbit
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Physical Appearance:
Personality: Above all, Fenn is a man without aspirations or dreams. As a result, he has developed a particular disdain for the FCF and their desire for independence. It has always been clear to Fenn that he was destined to die alone, just as he had been born alone in the world. As such, he never connected with other and often distanced himself from his comrades. He was dedicated to his work, often showing more fondness for the Woundwort than with others.
Following the incident, Fenn fell into a deep depression. His dreams were haunted with memories of the pilot's death. Deeply conflicted, he became even more withdrawn and often showed hesitation returning to the cockpit. His feelings of guilt further distance him from others and are one of the reasons why he left JOTUN. Fenn remains stalwart in his resolution to remain as neutral as possible and tries to avoid combat whenever possible. However, he will still kill when necessary.
Faction: Neutral, Colony Sympathies
Newtype Status: Oldtype
History: Records of Fenn's life before the "Belt Incident" are scarce. What is known, however, is that Fenn was abandoned and taken in by an old man who worked as a debris collector. The circumstances of this, however, are not pleasant as the young boy had inherited his parents' debt. Along with a few other orphans, Fenn spent his childhood in practically slavery as a part of the old man's crew. He lived in one of the lunar cities and never visited Earth.
About five years after the "Belt Incident", Fenn's aptitude towards piloting had caught the eye of a particular manufacturing company that supplied JOTUN with mobile suits. He was hired and eventually assimilated into the JOTUN Test Team when the organization acquired a majority of the company's assets. It wasn't long before the simple test flights transitioned into full-blown military operations.
Eventually, at the age of 20, Fenn suffered a crisis of faith after one particular sortie against the FCF. He ended up stranded in a shoal zone with an enemy pilot. The two combatants were wounded following an intense duel and their mobile suits were disabled. Eventually, they decided to cooperate and salvaged parts from both suits to jettison them out of the shoal zone. A JOTUN patrol in the area eventually found the two who had been drifting in the mobile suit for nearly forty-eight hours. They executed the other pilot on the spot.
Prior to this, Fenn had never assigned a face to his enemies - nor did he ever put stock in the ideals that drove them to rebellion. He was also blind to the grim reputation of JOTUN and his own infamy as The Black Rabbit. The pilot's sudden execution led to a surge of guilt for his own complacency.
Three months ago, Fenn defected from JOTUN after severely damaging several of the TR test units. Although he has not joined the FCF, he still distances himself from the UEL and JOTUN in particular. He hides out in the very same shoal zone that changed his life, sometimes taking jobs as a guard for merchant ships from the colonies.
Other: Fenn walks with a slight limp as a result of injuries sustained during his incident.
Mobile Suit Name: RX-124 Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort-Rah]
Production type: Prototype
Mobile Suit appearance:
The Goddess epithet comes from this particular Woundwort unit's customized v-fin.
Mobile Suit Weapons:
- Vulcan Guns x2
- Long Blade Rifle/Claw x2: The TR-6 series's signature armament. The Long Blade Rifle's barrel also functions as a heat blade. The claw can utilize the Composite Shield Booster's beam emitter as a beam saber and functions as a miniature MS controlled via INCOM.
- Claw Unit x4: Functions similarly to the Shield Composite Booster in that each unit contains a dual-function beam emitter. In addition, each claw unit is equipped with beam reflector shields. Each pair of claws belongs to a separate Hrududu-II unit.
Special Abilities:
- Sub-Arm Unit x5
- Composite Shield Booster x2: An innovative design that serves as the base for the Woundwort's Long Beam Rifle/Claw. The device holds a beam emitter that can function as a beam gun or a beam saber. The composite shield booster also contains a targeting sensor and an i-field generator that can function as a winch unit.
- Transformation: The base Woundwort unit is capable of transforming into a mobile armor. However, this ability is lost when the Hrududu-II parts are attached in the Woundwort-Rah configuration.
- Primrose II: Buried deep within the Woundwort's upper torso assembly is a Primrose II escape pod.
This makes me wish I could run a VOTOMs RP. He looks good, accepted.Zerohex said:
Name: Leopold “Leo” Creighton
Callsign: Diehard
Gender: Male
Age: 37
Physical Appearance:
A grizzled, obviously athletic man with thick but receding black hair and piercing hazel eyes, he stands at 6 feet 2 and carries himself as if he were forged of steel and not simply flesh and bone. He’s almost always seen dressed in some manner of reinforced uniform and carrying along a belt with a firearm and a small assortment of gear.
Personality:
Leopold can be quite headstrong and decisive, as befit an ace pilot, yet tempers these traits with a surprisingly analytical mind and an often criticized carefree personality outside of combat. Honest to a fault, his habit of speaking his mind has gotten him in trouble more than once as it knows no boundaries. Fascinated with mobile suit technology, and given his position as an instructor and test pilot, he makes great efforts to be well read about the latest developments on all sides whenever possible.
While a career soldier and clearly someone who enjoys battle to some degree, he doesn’t take lives gleefully and is in fact already quite tired of the war, especially of JOTUN and the Bolivar Fleet. While his loyalty is unquestionable, he will very openly talk about both sides constantly and needlessly escalating the conflict and criticize any policy or order he disagrees with, which is the reason for his current fall from grace. Despite all this, he can see no other career path for him and continues to fight more to take care of his own than any lofty goal.
Faction: Marine Corps
Newtype Status: Oldtype Indestructible
History:
A career soldier and an undeniably dangerous man, a young and troubled Leo Creighton turned his talent for violence towards a more productive outlet by joining the United Earth League's military. Having worked with mobile suits since their introduction as stiff, barely functional worker machines and having used them for fighting ever since someone had the great idea to put these expensive pieces of machinery in barely sanctioned combat exercises, the veteran Leopold is fairly well known across all factions as one of the U.E.L. aces, even operating as a mobile suit instructor and field commander for many, many men in both the Marine Corps and JOTUN.
Despite all this, however, Leopold is not a part of JOTUN. Technically he's barely part of the Marine Corps anymore. Leo's comparatively insubordinate and carefree nature, combined with his willingness to call attention to the needless cruelty and boneheaded repression oft-employed by the UEL taskforce means that he has been assigned to the backwater, undermanned Shannon Base in the middle of the backwater african country of Zangaro. Citing his age and distinguished career, he has been essentially forced into a sort of retirement, away from any position of influence he might have had, of course with a fairly nice check attached to it to make it seem like an honor.
Of late, the feared "Diehard" wastes away instructing the dregs of the U.E.L. and test-piloting bizarre machines with implausibly niche uses and GM variants that will likely see extremely limited to no real use. Much to the chagrin of many who owe their piloting chops to the man, mentioning him at all is something of a taboo and quite a few pilots who respected him now hold him in very low regard as word of his supposedly dishonorable "retirement" spreads. The higher ups who feel most threatened by him occasionally give him emergency assignments which border on suicidal, hoping to turn his passing into political maneuvering, but he always seems to make it back just fine.
Perhaps this latest emergency, then, might be enough to finally snuff out the old veteran.
Character theme:
Other:
While he is no newtype, his years of experience as a soldier and mobile suit pilot combined with his natural talents toward violence make him a superb combatant both inside and outside an MS, capable of matching if not exceeding newtypes, natural or not, blow for blow.
Mobile Suit Name: MSN-00100 Type Delta
Type: Custom Model Assault Mobile Suit
Overview:
A pet project of Leopold and the mechanics at Shannon Base, built primarily off an advanced prototype provided by the Federation of Independent Pacific States. While it was originally meant to be a transformable machine, capable of going back and forth between a combat-ready mobile suit mode and a high speed, sustained flight cruise mode, the actual mechanisms for this function proved most unreliable and were eventually scrapped altogether. What's left is a high performance machine, wholly unremarkable in that it doesn't really push the envelope technology-wise but quite advanced nonetheless, tough, agile and capable of limited flight under Earth's gravity still.
Mobile Suit appearance:
Mobile Suit Weapons:
-Head vulcans x2: Standard fare pea shooters used to gun down missiles and the like.
-Beam rifle x1: Typical beam weapon, powered by e-caps and fires yellow beams.
-High frequency beam saber x2: Stored in a recharge rack on its rear waist armor, the Type Delta's beam sabers produce thicker, more powerful blades capable of clashing with particle enhanced weapons and even forcing their way through anti-beam defenses with a sustained assault.
-Recoilless rifle x2: Mounted on the back and fired over the shoulders, these weapons function much like a scaled down rocket launcher or bazooka, firing high explosive shells capable of easily blowing mobile suits to smithereens. While somewhat less powerful and with a smaller range than these larger weapons, the recoilless rifles are far more portable and easy to fire, making them acceptable replacements.
-Three-slot hand grenade rack x2: Much like the Jegan, the Type Delta features a pair of grenade racks attached over its waist armor. These can be thrown like regular grenades and set to detonate upon impact with the target or timed to explode after a preset time. The grenades can also be launched directly from the rack, and while similar older weapons fired unguided grenades, later versions such as these launch self-propelled homing missiles with their own optical guidance systems.
-Shield x1: A thick slab of armor designed to take punishment that would destroy the mobile suit, treated with anti-beam coating to survive those attacks as well. Near-identical to the standard type mounted on the Jegan except colored to match the Type Delta, it mounts a pair of 2-tube small missile launchers and a beam gun.
Special Abilities:
-Beam resistant armor: The Type Delta's most outstanding feature, its armor has been especially constructed to allow for a good degree of defense against beam weapons by layering the armor with high specific heat capacity materials similar to standard anti-beam coating during construction. While not as effective at dissipating attacks as the stuff typically applied on shields, this method of construction does away with the need to reapply the substance every time. It is, however, comparatively costly and time consuming to make new parts with this system, especially if one does not have the data on how to do so and samples to work with, making it impractical for the U.E.L.'s purposes.
