Once Crowley fell asleep they would tuck him in and kiss his forehead. One summer finally it worked out that both of his parents were going to have time off for a vacation. They had planned on leaving early in the morning but as life would have it a drunk driver smashed into the passenger side of the car causing it to spin out and roll over into a ditch. An ambulance was called to the scene and took his mother, father and he out on stretchers. Crowley somehow survived with minimal damage but severe pains in his head and chest but his father had to wear a neck brace and his mother was in a coma. His father and he were allowed to leave but his mother had to stay due to her condition. After several days the doctors called his father in to talk about the situation and he was told that she would live but would be forever in a vegetative state. His father was hit hard, he couldn't quite cope with the situation but it started out that he would come in everyday and read her favorite books to her just hoping for a response. He couldn't concentrate on his writings any more and stopped reading to Crowley or paying much attention to him. His father was lost in a dark depression upon the development of Crowley's powers and eventually couldn't handle it anymore. Crowley's father took his own life on a cool breezy autumn day and Crowley was alone. It was confusing for him as well because he was raised on stories with happy endings...but it was the day he realized life isn't a story, that life wasn't a fairy tale, or some happily ever after. Life was just a timeline with a beginning and an end.

He can change DNA slightly enough to change someones hair, or give someone a new heart. He mostly prefers to heal, and not use his ability to kill.

Bio: Emmert was stereotypically left in the care of a family that were wishing for a son. They were unable to have children, and he was left on their doorstep. They discovered his ability when his father broke his leg when Emmert was only four, and Emmert calmly told them not to worry, before he straightened his father's leg slowly.


It was hard for him to control his powers, and he is unable to use it on himself, so they urged him to go to school.
