Fandom Gotham: Dystopia

Oswald_C_Cobblepot Oswald_C_Cobblepot I understand you have a strong preference for canon characters for this roleplay, but I have an idea for an original character that I'd like to run by you. Since you plan on using Professor Pyg in the future I would love to create another member for his Circus of Strange. An important figure for the disturbed professor. A lieutenant, if you will. Possibly a character to keep the circus running in the event Valentin gets locked away in Arkham.
 
Bone2pick Bone2pick Professor Pyg's certainly on top of my list. I like him and I know how to play his operatic madness. So, as you might have seen, we already have one OC ( Harley Quinn Harley Quinn s Amelia :D), which was created specifically for this first arc and Penguin's story. So, yeah, we do prefer canon characters, but if you have a really good idea for an OC, you can certainly run it by us. Since Valentin will certainly either die or end up in Arkham, someone will have to keep the Circus running, you're right there. So, I'd love to hear it :) If you want to keep the others spoiler-free, you can PM me the idea :)

Alright, so the idea I have is that after seeing thr Grayson's die, Bruce refuses to adopt Dick, and instead goes after their killer. He goes to Cobblepot for info, and may even bring Zucco in.

I was actually planning on having Roman Sionis, working for Penguin, kill Zucco. Could you possibly fit that in somehow? What you do with Dick doesn't directly concern Penguin so I'm giving you maximum freedom of creativity there, you and MoonLegend101 MoonLegend101
 
Hm... going after Zucco rather than adopting Dick sounds like it would really fit for Bruce, and if it's okay to keep that as well- how about Bruce does go after the Graysons' killer, after listening in to Dick's description about the matter, and begins to hunt Zucco, but, even though he might get close on the trail, someone else is following it, and that might make things more difficult and not so easy. And eventually, while on a mission to try to track Zucco down, since it's much more of an emotionally raw matter to deal with, due to perhaps an oversight or some recklessness, we could go with that idea where Batman gets hurt, perhaps an accidental bullet wound from fighting some of Zucco's thugs or being distracted while fighting some other criminals, and so Dick could find him and help him the best he could, since he could have run from the orphanage at this point, and while doing so and after helping Batman back to his car, Dick would put it together as to what Batman was doing, and would start to insist that he come along too and help somehow, since they were his parents, and he wants revenge. So either Bruce could understand and let him tag along, and the two could work together a bit in this way, or refuse and Dick would try to follow on his own, but either way when the two would manage to find Zucco, he would be dead, assassinated by Sionis. This could lead Batman to question who could have done it and would have wanted to and such, while Dick would be distraught, and wouldn't know what to do anymore now that someone else had killed his parents' murderer and he had nothing left, except to wander the streets aimlessly or return to the orphanage, but either way he'd be in a bad place mentally. So either soon after this or eventually, Alfred would talk some sense into Bruce, and try to convince him to take Dick in and give him a home, and we could go on from there.

Anyway though, that's just an idea about how we could proceed, Rusty of Shackleford Rusty of Shackleford ! You could change whatever you'd like to about it, or if you don't think the idea would work, that'd be completely fine, and we could have something else. I was just wondering if something like this might work perhaps, and what you'd think about it, but that'd be totally alright if it wouldn't. (:

Just a note - proto-Batman :D Since Gotham doesn't really know the Caped Crusader yet; I imagined that Penguin's system would incite the need for Batman.
