Penelope had never liked conflict. It was too stressful and people tended to get so angry... It just wasn't for her.

But that didn't mean she wasn't going to do as she was asked. She was happy to be in the forest, ready to defend from any of those wicked blues, or whatever they were called and frankly was just happy to be alive. But when wasn't Penelope happy? She sat on a stump, flute in her hands as her fingers danced over the instrument. Forest critters gathered around her, squirrels, rabbits, mice, deer, even a bear was sitting down listening to the pleasant tune. Her music, however came to an abrupt halt when she heard the sounds of footsteps. Her ear twitched, swiveling to the sound of the steps and she lowered the flute. The animals around her froze, unsure how to react.
"It's the blue flag thieves..." Penelope said in a low voice, looking at the critters around her. "Go hide but stay close okay?"

Penelope pranced forward until she strode up to the girl and stopped in front of her, raising her hand in a stopping motion.
"My team said I'm not allowed to let you lay your dirty blue hands on our precious flag." She said softly. Her voice was gentle and syrupy sweet. She wasn't very tall and didn't look very threatening armed with a flute and yet she tried her best to give a serious look toward the girl, her gaze burning holes into the poor person.

"And if you don't I might have to wack you."

The statement would have been laughable if Penelope didn't walk over to a several century old tree, rip it from the earth without even blinking and swing it around like a lunatic.

Clem did his best to try and think of anything else. When Hestia hugged he, he clung to the woman like a child, sobbing. When they made their way to the cafeteria, his gaze flickered about, trying to find new things to distract himself with, anything to make him forget. Finally he settled his gaze on Hesita and tried for a smile that fell to pieces instantly. He felt so guilty.
"I'd be grateful for anything. I don't deserve to be happy..."

Hestia sighed, her guilt showing through her aura. "Trust me, it was not your fault. You were ordered to fight to the death, and sadly I messed up. If anything you should be mad at me." She said. "I think maybe a rich fashion designer would be good for you. For now, though. We shall wait for Rae and Bri. They should be able to get that done. It's not my specialty, sending family away. Mine is keeping it together." She hugged him again, tight. She wished him to let it all out on her dark red cloak. Ariel Ariel

You realize what these are right? Your little attempt at cornering me between your creatures and plants is laughable at best.
Lucifer said, as the blades moved instantly without any hand motions. Spinning around his body in a level field, they shot out instantly. Spinning around Lucifer, hitting and slicing through each thing until they were all gone. After, as they spin in a vertical circle to spray blood off, they fly back to Lucifer again in a smaller circle spinning around his waist. Noticing some acid shoot towards them, Lucifer smirks as he realizes he has back up. Then, stating as if it was a game of chess..

Crystal got up off the ground, grabbing her scythe and looking back to see Jasmine getting a little bit of acid to her leg as she was a little too slow to dodge. She suppressed her concern and thankfulness for the saving in the face of the enemy since getting off task would get them killed, though the hatred was a little less easy to hold down. When she heard Lucifer's voice, it was like listening to tens of chalkboards being scratched all at once. Something about the kid's attitude just ticked her off. F*cking egotistical bastard should shut his face gloating about some damn blades. Probably proud of those because the one he's hiding isn't so impressive. Crystal thought of some genius profanities and used the shaft of the scythe to push herself off the ground. As she did, a giant bone golem rose behind her, towering at over two meters tall. She silently ordered it to attack and crush Lucifer. I'm best not trying shadows against him for now, since he manipulates them too. She instead engaged Zoe, wanting to keep both the enemies off of Jasmine who was wounded. She didn't know how good Jasmine was at fighting, and it was best not to rely on something uncertain. She brought her scythe about in a reckless but strong swing, not really intending to hit - instead, most of her focus was on making Zoe's shadow concentrate into three spears and shoot up into the exosuit covered girl. "Jasmine, I don't know what you can do, but do it!"

Jasmine felt full on agony on her leg. She did her best not to scream knowing other people from the blue team might be around. Mother FUDGING CAKES PIECE OF PIE THIS HURTS! She was breathing rather hard and VERY grateful that Crystal was taking care of the two people in blue. She looked around and was grasping what was going on when Crystal screamed for her to help if possible. She automatically put her hands on the floor and started to chant.

Roots lifted from the ground and it looked like it devoured Lucifer. Suddenly he was trapped in what now looked like a small hill. Inside the hill his arms and legs were being held by roots as he was losing oxygen quick. I hope you are not afraid of being buried alive.

Next she focused on Zoe. Chanting some more she had roots hold her exosuit so that she could not move anywhere leaving Crystal handle her from there. Then, she hurriedly started to ask the earth to help with the acid that felt like it was burning her from the inside out. She was really keeping it together with all the pain she was feeling. The earth allowed her to know that there was an aloe plant nearby that will help heal her but it was somewhat far from crawling distance. A groan escaped her body. "Crystal, hurry up a little please."

Zoe was doing a rather good job at keeping Crystal at bay in the front but suddenly she heard something happening behind her. Her own SHADOWS were against her. Are you kidding me? She quickly threw acid behind her to see if that made a difference. She looked down to see roots were now holding her down and not allowing her to move. Sadly, she wasn't fast enough in this exosuit to move out of its way. She pressed a button and kicked herself out of the exosuit. She was smart enough to have a bow and arrow on her back as a Plan B. She ran towards Lucifer but didn't see a way to get him out. Fudge sticks. She took out her bow and aimed for the ground in between Crystal and Jasmine. A fire started which allowed Zoe to run away further and dare to hide behind another bush to hopefull ambush the ambushers if they think she was gone.

Jasmine saw Zoe get out of the exosuit and quickly did her best to get up while practically hopping on one leg. She threw seeds that she had gathered from the forest earlier from her pocket and threw them at the exosuit so it would be VERY difficult for Zoe to get that back. She looked back where Zoe had landed to see her aiming an arrow towards them. "CRYSTAL MOVE!" She screamed and dared to run while hopping the adrenaline of the moment would keep her standing. She looked back to see a fire started and her heart skipped a beat. "The plants..."

Removing all but two swords, Lucifer threw one to where Jasmine is at and the other one towards Zoe. Eventually, the mound of materials got formed around Lucifer, which caused him to panic suddenly. Remembering about a limited oxygen supply, Lucifer was quickly praying.
Hey.. If you are listening.. Mind showing me how you got me here?
Quickly muttering that, Lucifer got some kind of feeling inside of him. Venturing that, he felt the dark start to split. Opening that rift a bit more, it opened to another area. This area happened to be roughly a couple mins away, closer to the river. Steping through, Lucifer felt the rush of oxygen inside of his lungs. Trying the same thing again, but close where the shadows are saying where Zoe is at, another rift for a limited amount of time.

"Alright." said Alice, as she followed Ari. As she was doing that, Alice saw someone from the red team come out, so she just crossed her arms. "Oh come on. We were hiding pretty well from you guys, but since, you aren't going to let us get your flag." said Alice, as she took out her pendulum. "We are going to take it from you."
Alice was impressed by Penelope ripping a several century old tree from the ground, and swinging it around like a lunatic. However, she has one thing that she didn't have an advantage here, and that is Alice with both a boosted and amplified luck pendulum. 'That tree that she is holding is probably going to miss, because of my luck.' thought Alice.
She was also thinking that the tree that Penelope was holding would fly over her and Ari, as her good luck would probably give her an advantage with Penelope's bad aiming. But Alice could be wrong with that and she gets hit by a tree instead. 'I have to wait and see what happens.' thought Alice.

Lena had been silently moving through the treetops since she got into the forest. She had been silently observing the battle without firing a single shot. Lena was simply waiting for the correct time to strike- like if one of her opponents got isolated or injured she would target them, just as a pack of wolves targets the elderly and the young while on the hunt. That plan, of course, doesn't work when your prey has the power of literal gods. Lena then noticed that one of her teammates, Penelope, was facing two opponents. "well now's a better time than any." She drew back the string of her bow and took careful aim at Alice before releasing the projectile and watching it fly before immediately drawing back another shot.

Nika had no difficulties running through the forest, only occasionally stopping her bear to dodge a flying arrow from a turret and throw a wooden spear in response. She met no resistance other than these occasional turrets and one robot, all of which got decimated with a single spear. I might really pull this off. Did they seriously put all their major defenses in the center? Nika was serious, for once. She wanted to earnestly meet Tera's challenge, to show that she'd be able to keep up with Tera and be a good wingman to her like the Nike she saw in the memories. When she finally got out of the forest and into the grassland with the bear she was riding going full speed, she was forced to jump off of it's back as the bear tripped over the vines Zane had left. Annoyed, she stomped on a snakes head before making her way through the grasslands, leaving her now lame mount behind. Unfortunate as it is the bear will only slow me down.

Sherri watched over the grasslands, looking for reds when she saw Nika. "Zoe... Said she was dangerous. If I can lock her down here -" She ran through the grasslands, closing the distance between her and Nika that was still too far to cast a spell.

Nika saw Sherri moving, and took out her last wooden spear, preparing to throw it. Strangely Sherri made no move to dodge and weave, and once she was close enough (for superhuman Nika) Nika threw the spear at blinding speed. A transparent blue shield wove itself in front of Sherri, sloped at a steep angle. The spear, instead of getting blocked, was diverted off of the angled surface, Sherri knowing that the weak instant shield wouldn't be able to do anything against that strength normally. Nika frowned and put on her claws, watching Sherri's moving mouth an staff wearily. A mage.

Though Sherri's mouth moved, her staff did not glow, and nothing happened as the distance between the two kept shortening. Nika, growing impatient and weary of watching for a spell that wasn't coming, took a step forward so that she could start her own charge - it was the last step she took.

"«Slip»!" Sherri had held her spell for this exact moment, and she smiled in triumph as Nika's shoes became frictionless and the girl fell to the ground, unable to get up. Nika was smart and quickly tried to get on her knees that hadn't been affected by the spell, but it was too late and Sherri's next spell was already on it's way. "«Gel», it's over." A mass of clear oily slime that had been what she used as fuel to the fire that melted the moat appeared over Nika's head, falling on top of her. Sherri, without hesitation, finished the sure-kill combo. "Firebolt Mod. 8, «Combustion Shot»" In an instant the gel caught flame, burning hotter than a blacksmith's forge. Nika screamed as she burned alive, but the gel was expended before the sustained damage could reach the lethal point, leaving Nika unconscious on the ground with severe burns and a lot of her clothes turned to ash, with the most severe portions on her back and one of her legs. "I'm thankful you didn't die... Would've caused trouble for Zoe if you respawned. I suppose I owe you something." Sherri took the body of Nika up and started doing her best to carry her, though not in the romantic bridal carry she had given Zoe so much as dragging a corpse along the ground behind her. She looked back with cold eyes every now and again to make sure Nika was still breathing.

They reached the moat, where Tera stood alone, and Sherri didn't greet the girl she knew nothing about as she continued dragging Nika to the blue base, where they could bind her and heal her.

Tera looked at Sherri had made her way to the moat. She was carrying a body, the body of Nika. She took the knife that she was using to wittle and threw it at the ground in front of Sherri. "Where are you taking the body of our enemy?" She asked standing up. "If that is Nika. Killing her will be easier than trying to interrogate her. She's not the type that would talk easily.... Well, actually you can't get her to shut up half the time. But still." She said grabbing her glave. "I'll take care of her..."

Kera moved forward as the bridge formed, observing their surroundings, they still hadn't come into contact with the other team. "You're with me." She glanced back at Zane, looking him up and down for a short while, before pressing forward, signalling him to follow with her free right hand. He didn't seem extremely powerful, yet his powers would no doubt be a boon in this environment. "If those vines of yours can cover me, we should be able to take down any opponents we come into contact with." Her voice boomed as she faced forward, assuming him to be following.

As they continued on, Kera scanned the area like a hawk, her sight finally landing on two approaching figures in red. Quickly, she stopped, taking a low stance and sticking her right arm out to signal for Zane to do the same. "Harmonia... and... The chosen of Janus." She noted, glancing back for a split second, before fixing her attention on the pair. "We should be able to handle them, but I don't want them getting in the way when I take their flag... Cover me, if we can restrain them it will be some time before their team comes to free them." She commanded in a serious, yet hushed tone, glancing around the pair to make note of any more oncoming attackers, yet it seemed they were in the clear.

It was clear now, however, that the pair noticed them, their eyes trading glances. A small smile betrayed Kera's face, as she stood tall, an imposing figure. There was still a great distance between them, and as such, Kera reached behind her, propping the spear on her back and bouncing it in her right hand. Suddenly, and with little warning, she loosed it with great force. The sound of its travel was audible, as it seemingly headed toward the pair, yet it was slightly off. *CHUNK* The impact of the weapon tearing through a large tree beside Harmonia and William, it appeared as if the spear had missed them... Yet to the perceptive, a slight sound of timber snapping gave away Kera's intentions, as the large tree began to fall toward them.

Crystal had kept her eyes on Zoe from the moment she left the exosuit. She didn't even blink at the arrow, and ran forward towards Zoe, multitasking to the extreme. She ordered the bone golem that had originally been for Lucifer to go after Zoe, catching her in a pincer attack once again with the golem behind her, and shadow spears forming in front of the portal Lucifer opened to skewer Zoe. On top of that, Crystal was closing in with her scythe raised high, leaving Zoe with a hard choice - risk that she could eliminate Crystal with this single shot and accept her death, or try to retreat giving up on the portal. I don't mind mutual elimination. But, you're no Artemis... You might not even hit me. Crystal grinned, knowing this was checkmate. Even if Zoe chose to run, Crystal could keep up and even overtake her by using the shadows to slow her down. The bone golem could crush Zoe, and then they could move on to the other attackers. And if Crystal was killed here, that just put her back at the flag, ready to defend it from the other blue team members that had slipped by.

Sherri felt irritated at Tera for being a bullheaded Ares that couldn't think about anything except eliminating the enemy. "Why not trust the conniving witch to do some harm to your enemies?" She asked this rhetorical question before breathing in for a response, knowing that bullheaded Ares wouldn't stand down with just that. "It is Nika, and I'm taking her to Gideon. He'll be able to make restraints to bind her monstrous strength. After she's bound I'm going to heal her using our pool and keep her at our base so that she won't be able to do any more this game. I owe a small debt to her, so I didn't want to take the chance that she'd return to her base before bleeding out. It's not even certain anyone is at their base to notice her and put her in their healing pool, and I don't want someone's blood on my hands just because I left them to bleed out." Sherri looked over to Tera, dead serious with no emotions clouding her face and her eyes speaking of danger. "Do you understand? By finishing her off, at best you'll be returning a powerful force to the enemy's hands, and at worst you'd be killing her - someone who I owe a little something to. As long as the chance remains that the worst case scenario happens, I will fight you, and I will be sanctioned because I will be acting for the benefit of our team, and you will not be sanctioned because you will be fighting against the benefit of the team."

Sherri could have sugarcoated the explanation and made it sound a lot nicer, taken out the bit that sounded like she was picking a fight with the Ares instead of her real purpose of trying to prevent one, but Tera wasn't someone she desired to get along with and wasn't worth the social effort of dancing around. If anything, Tera was racking up her displeasure by inhibiting her perfectly reasonable and sound decision, but Sherri did realize she was starting to cross over her line and took a step back. Shit. I'm losing it again. "I never intended to interrogate her anyways. That'd be a cruel thing to do to a classmate over some game. I'm already anxious that burning her alive was too much. The rules should have accounted for these torturous attacks that didn't kill..." Worry pulled her lips into a frown as she looked back at Nika. "...I didn't have any other way to win, though. So, would you mind letting me go to the base? The longer it takes to get her bound the longer she waits on the brink of death."

Dak Dak

Tera looked at Sherri. "If she is out cold, then I will let you go... But if by some chance she gets out... I will come for you first." She said stepping to her and grabbing her by the shirt. "I won't be so kind either." She said with a very serious look. If her looks could say something. It would be "Dont make me regret this." she let go of thr girls shirt amd walked back over to the stump and began to wittle away with the knife she threw at the ground.

Sherri sighed, looking away and continuing her trek to the base. Yeah, I guessed right, I really can't deal with her. I have no idea what is going through her head, I thought she'd chill down when she realized her friend is dying as we spoke. She didn't take too much care in dragging Nika up the snowy mountain slope, but she did look back every now and again to check that Nika was alive. The encounter with Tera had bothered her and she reflexively reached to button her coat, but then she realized that she had taken it off for freedom of movement and removed the red scarf for obvious reasons. She just repeatedly balled her hand into a fist and twisted her fingers around instead, trying to get out her nervous ticks before she had to talk with Gideon.

She entered the blue base, dragging the heavily burned and scantily clad Nika behind her. Should probably cover her with something since I practically burned most of her clothes off... "Hey, Gideon, could you make some super strong full body restraints? Make them like they're to bind a giant. I'm going to go find my coat so that I can cover her up." Without explaining the situation, trusting Gideon to understand, Sherri went to find her coat, leaving Nika's unconscious body with him.

Tera had been wittling for a while. She was no crafter. All she did was craft small wooden stakes that she could try and use as projectiles. She set them on the trunk that she was sitting on. Looking at the trees. It was peaceful, too peaceful. Tera didn't like it. She stood up from her seat and walked over to one of the trees. Her glave in hand she struck a tree. Her mind was racing with thoughts. How could she be so careless when one of her friends was burned and hurt. She struck the tree again, and again.

One of her friends that she held dear. Was Lena on the other team. She wanted to see her. She wanted to talk. She hit the tree again. She was going insane. "Why.... Why... WHY!" She yelled to herself. Tera fell flat on her back. Looking at the sky. If someone came to her, they would see her looking at the clouds. Tera's mind began to wonder till she eventually fell asleep.

Zoe weighed her options very quickly. She's going to kill me. I can kill her too but then how would blue team survive up there? Alice and Ap Ari are probably close by to the flag by now. Hopefully. I can hit her with an arrow to the knee so she has difficulty walking. That would leave Crystal AND Jasmine badly hurt but not hurt enough to spawn back near the base. Zoe calculated her shot and aimed for Crystal's knee, crippling her in the process so she has trouble walking. "Lucifer! Get to the flag!" She then opened her arms wide accepting her face and fell backward on purpose towards the shadow spears. "I accept my fate."

She felt MASSIVE pain and she embraced it. She refused to scream and suddenly... She heard Sherri's voice talking to Gideon about a full body restraint. She opened her eyes quickly and patted herself down panting. "Oh my goddess. I'm okay!" She knew she would be but the pain was almost unbearable. She was not going to ALLOW herself to die again in this match. She walked out to the base and saw Sherri. As soon as she saw her, Sherri turned to see her. Zoe stopped for a moment in awe on how beautiful Sherri was. I can call her mine... Thank goddess I didn't actually die. I swear I would haunt this woman. She walked slowly to Sherri doing her best to keep her composure and enjoy the view. She got close and gave Sherri a warm kiss and wrapped one arm around her. She suddenly looked down to see a body VERY burned. She raised an eyebrow and looked at Sherri. "Did you do that?" She kissed her on the cheek again. "Good job Babe!"

Jasmine watched as Crystal was hit by an arrow in the knee and put one hand over her mouth in shock. She did NOT expect Zoe to willingly fall to her death behind her. She looked at the body and tears started to roll down her cheek and hit her hand. She felt her body shaking. "I- I have never seen someone die before..." She kept watch of Zoe's body as it suddenly vanished. She gulped and did her best to come back to reality. I need to help Crystal! She hopped towards Crystal with one of her own legs in pain. In the process of hopping she saw a huge plant that she had fertilized a little. She walked up to it, blessed it, and took two huge leaves. She finished hopping to Crystal and looked at the arrow. "We need to take that thing out. I refuse to see you die too. One was brutal enough for the day."

Harmonia saw Kera and Zane and quickly made a sound that William could hear. She looked in his direction quickly and could tell he had noticed them too. She breathed and got ready for a fight. This was not her first rodeo. She focused on bringing on bringing out her mother's side a little more. I didn't choose this life on purpose dammit! I want frikin HARMONY! She heard her thoughts go off and she quickly shushed them. Her other voice in her head taking over. This is not the time to fight within. We must be at HARMONY within. We must do what we have to. This is not a place that someone can die. It's okay. Do what you have to. She nodded.

She watched as Kera aimed an arrow in their direction. She could tell the arrow was slightly off and it hit a tree nearby them... But then it crackled through the forest and it started to fall towards the two branches William and Harmonia were at. Quickly she scurried to another tree and another branch a few feet away knowing William would be fine. I have been watching him closely. it certainly isn't speed he has got. It has to be teleportation. He knows how to use it too. She got out of the way and focused.

I have to swords and ninja stars. I don't believe I should focus on getting out of my swords at Kera, the chosen of a ZEUS first. I should start with the other one, Zane. Take out her partner. She looked towards William and focused deeply on him. She has sent wave lengths of her thought process to people before. If her powers were boosted she should be able to do it again. It was similar to sending pheromones but for a few moments it was like HER idea could become HIS idea in his head. It's normally how Aphrodite can get someone to fall in love with someone else, he plants an idea in their head that 'this is the one' and they believe it. Sometimes they may reject the idea but it shows up as THEIR voice in their head. She wasn't close enough to SPEAK to William and tell him what she was thinking so this would have to do. She sent out two sentences. 'Harmonia will take out Zane. Distract Kera.'

Alice started to move more to the right in order to get around Penelope, as she was still holding that tree in her hands. ‘Please don't throw it. Please don't throw it. Please for the love of god, don't throw it, because that tree is overkill.’ thought Alice.
She wasn't sure if her luck would be able to dodge a tree like that, but she has to do it for the blue team.

"Peacocks?... I think I can do something with that." Camron said as he started to wittle away at the block of wood. Thier defenses were set up and worked perfectly so he had some time to waste. After a few minutes, he came back with a carving of an animal, it was a peacock. The artistry of it was really good, almost perfect. "A gift for the Princess. An animal that I know you will love." Cam said gifting the animal to her. "It's not my best work, but it is pretty good." He said sitting down and taking the pancakes and bacon. He was rather hungry from building all morning.

Derreck was laying down in the field on the red side. He didn't really care for the game. It was just an excuse for people to fight. He looked up at the sky. He had taken the redshirt off and used it as a bandana. He watched as clouds went flying by. His mind went to the thought of the ocean. He was standing on his broad surfing on a killer wave. "This running as a messenger is bullcrap... I could totally be chillin' with some righteous peeps right now. But nooo. I gotta be a runner.... Whatever man, it's a totally killer day, not even a game like this ruin a day like today." He said closing his eyes. He lightly started to snore.

Gideon had finished one of the Elite guards when dropped a prisoner in front of him, a not so very clothed one at that, and asked him about full body restraints. “ I get right on it... and I’ll put the defenses on high alert.” Gideon said before telling the Elite guard to get the defenses ready.
Though it would require the rest of the materials for the other three Elites to make Gideon was already melting it down into the restraints.

Gideon’s design for the restraints was divided into layers. The inner most layer was essentially a full body straight jacket with rods forced into her ball and socket joints to prevent movement. The outer layer was a shock absorbing sarcophagus. Any damage, up to a point, would be absorbed and turned into an electric current which would shock the occupant through the celestial bronze rods in thier joints.

William Hawthorne
(Janus Descendant)

William looked down at the path ahead, some sensory flare blossoming in his mind in indication of the two individuals that had laid eyes upon him. His own gaze swung around to meet theirs and he frowned in thought. The Chosen of Zeus and the Dionysus. "Intriguing..." He stroked his chin with one hand for a moment, his other grasped firmly on his sword, considering their possible options for the upcoming battle. Direct confrontation was the most likely. He could easily outrun and outmanoeuvre both Blue members, but that would leave Harmonia vulnerable to attack. Despite the fact that he knew she would simply respawn, he couldn't bring himself to leave her to fall in harm's way. His code of honour and his own personal feelings would not allow it, the mere thought of it causing him to glance with concern to the lady in question. It wasn't necessarily that William didn't think she could fight, although he didn't suppose Aphrodite was particularly known for her combat prowess, but more just his inbuilt attitude towards women in general. As previously mentioned, he had been raised with outdated ideals after all.

The Zeus-spawn had attacked with startling speed and power, blowing a hole directly through the side of the base of an adjacent tree, causing it to list dangerously towards the two Red members. It would be upon them soon, they had to form some sort of... And then a strange thought hit him. Harmonia will take out Zane. Distract Kera. William didn't know who those people were, but something clicked in his mind that simply identified the child of Zeus as Kera and the other as Zane. His frown deepened with confusion this time, why would he hold back and merely distract Kera? Surely that would prove more of a challenge, rather than to simply incapacitate her. William mentally shrugged and readied his sword in two hands. Something was telling him to trust Harmonia and her ability, and so he would. The worst case scenario: she was slain and sent back to base. The pain she would experience would be regrettable, but William would bite his tongue for now. Trust in comrade was an essential element of teamwork, he would be a fool to neglect this aspect.

"Very well. I shall eliminate the child of Zeus." William spoke almost to himself. As elegant as a wraith of the night, he gracefully stepped off the branch before the neighbouring tree could crush him, falling in the same standing position, sword held tip to the earth in two hands. As the ground rushed up to meet him, William landed dramatically, crouching to one knee as the beautifully engraved golden sword sunk several inches in the ground. Taking his time rising up, William kept his two hands on the pommel of his weapon the stared with stern determination at the two figures ahead. His smile was gone and instead replaced with a grim line, his eyes hard and blazing with courage. William's stance was strong as he stood tall above his sword, his body language clearly stating that to pass, one would have to cut him down where he stood. He then raised his voice to Kera, who stood a good distance ahead of him still, "Child of Zeus. I challenge you to a duel of death. The victor may pass, and potentially secure the enemy flag." His challenge was honest and he had no intention of betraying the rules he'd set out. Of course, he had other plans in terms of what would occur during battle.

Sherri was returning with her jacket to cover Nika up when Zoe respawned. Sherri was too shocked to do anything when Zoe pulled her in for a kiss, her mind racing. How'd they manage to kill Zoe? She's supposed to be invincible... She's Athena, smarter and stronger than me... And she has all those potions... Where was the incredible versatility that should have made her invincible? Sherri ignored Zoe's praise, genuinely feeling like she didn't deserve it. She pulled Zoe into a tight hug, frowning. The idea that they won't always have this respawning handicap, that these are the training wheels that will disappear, and that she could have easily lost Zoe without being able to do anything was burning her on the inside. "I don't know what got you, but you took the opportunity to learn from it right? Don't you dare do anything stupid. They're not going to give us this respawn every dangerous course... I think you've figured this out already, but I'm a stubborn and dedicated woman... I don't care if you're a gravestone, I'm not leaving..." Sherri let go of Zoe, smiled at her, then dropped her coat, walking away with staff in hand. "Zoe. I'm going offense. This game lasting more than a few minutes is already long enough, I've done enough testing while fighting Nika. Heal her before she bleeds out and make sure she doesn't bust out of Gideon's restraints." Sherri's tone of voice changed, dropping in pitch a bit as illusory flames seemed to flicker around her staff. Time to teach people not to touch my girl.

Penelope wasn't actually going to hit anyone with the tree. She was greatly against violence. For the most part, anyway. Swinging it around was just supposed to scare the girl, maybe into surrendering so that maybe both of them could shake hands, become friends, and go have a picnic in the forest. Penelope liked friends as much as she liked picnics. Given it was a vegetarian picnic. She hefted the tree effortlessly in her slim arms like a baseball player ready to swing and hit a homerun, trying to ignore the way it complained at her. She promised to reintroduce the tree into the soil when she was done, trying to soothe its wounded pride. Of course, it just looked like Penelope stroking the bark of the tree and whispering to it. Not actually what a sane person would do.

Penelope did not expect the arrow to come from flying from the treetops and she gasped as it narrowly missed the girl in front of her. She dropped the tree, telling herself she'd come back for it later and tackled the girl, much, much too late to actually help, while uttering a noise halfway between a bleat and a cry. Both her and the girl ended up on a tangle on the ground with Penelope on top.

"Don't hurt her! It doesn't matter if she's a dirty blue! She's precious on the inside!"

Penelope didn't do more than use her arms to lift some of her weight off the girl and look down at the girl with a determined look, feeling satisfied with her actions. Her first idea was that the arrow shooter had to be a bad guy and needed to be subdued immediately.

"Forest lovelies! Come to me!"

Upon hearing her command all of the creatures that came to her earlier ran up, a little furry army ready to heed command. "Get the one who shot the arrow! But don't hurt them, okay?" The animals ran towards the source and once they found Lena, they encircle the tree. The only thing it really resulted in is squirrels climbing all over her. Birds flying around her in a buzz. Bunnies and deers, running around the tree. A one lazy brown bear scraping at the body, not really sure how to be helpful. A true terror.
