"See. Nothing to worry about" he let out a cool exterior but in the inside he was probably dying. Well there goes his physical activities for the day. He probably ended up pulling a muscle too but overall nothing to worry about. He walked to his seat and sat down. Unlike Caspar, he wasn't too keen on greeting or talking or even noticing the other classmates. He would prefer if he could just be in a corner somewhere and not have to deal with talking to people. Especially women, they were so difficult to understand at times. It made him anxious. He gazed outside of the classroom then, spacing out and paying no attention to his surroundings. This is what he was like before he came to this place. Always the type to watch and never really participate. A loner really.


"Such a long day..." he murmured to himself and he leaned onto his arms and closed his eyes. It couldn't hurt to sleep a little bit more, could it?

"Same here,"Eris replied, taking Lyanete's hand and shaking it; she released it. Two students came into her line of sight, one out of breath and the other casual. The casual one, Rayne, entered the room without a glance at Eris, causing her mouth to twitch into a frown for a split second. To the other boy, Caspar, however, she beckoned to,"Come on in."

Sam watched the two boys, having a view of the doorway from her seat. One came inside and sat down whilst the other stayed outside the class. She looked around the classroom, trying to get a hint of what this class was. There were posters of different things but all of the same theme: monsters. If gods surely existed, who said creatures didn't? Sam began to grow apprehensive, the surprise sounding more foreboding than exciting.

Caspar entered the classroom with excitement plastered on his face. "Hello Eris!" He shook her hand excitedly. He looked around the room at the different mystical monsters found in Greek mythology and tried to control his excitement. "Hi nice to meet you! Artemis I'm guessing?" Shaking hands with Lyanete and then moving towards Samaria. "Nice to meet you too! And you are?" He said looking at Samaria and taking in her body language. She was pretty.

Rayne rolled his eyes at Caspar though he couldn't help but to give a slight smile. He found it cute how he was excited for such small things such as learning about mythical creatures in Greek Mythology. He shook his head and chuckled slightly. There was already an odd bunch gathering around. Artemis, Athena and many others. It was refreshing in a way to see how people would interact. For him, it seemed he really had better things to do but if it made Caspar happy then he would be okay with it too but note to self: Let Caspar leave first and then wait ten minutes. It would make for simpler and less annoying introductions.


"Caspar..." he murmured loud enough for Caspar to hear and showed the distaste on his face. He knew he was beginning to act childish now but it was a part of him that liked to be spoiled. Really, they couldn't have at least been a minute late?

Snow woke up with a groan as he heard someone's voice in his head. His eyes snapped all the way open when he recognized it as Eris. "Oh shit Oh shit!" he said hurrying to get ready before busting out the door. He ran to his classroom and burst through that door. "I'm so sorry Mrs. Eris. I over slept!" he said and hurried to his seat. He sat down and looked around.

Excitement of her own danced in Eris' eyes at how ecstatic Caspar was. She liked this student already; surprisingly, however, he was a child of Athena. "Nice to meet you,"she replied, releasing his hand.

Sam watched the last boy enter the room, mentally commending him for how vibrant he was. He came up to Lyanete and correctly guessed her deity. Then he came up to her and greeted her, asking her who her deity was. Samaria gave a small laugh, embarrassed; Hermes sure did act as if he was pretty important when he met her, but she guessed he wasn't important enough for common knowledge. "Samaria - er, Hermes,"she replied.

Eris was about to close the door before a student rushed in. It was Snow, she recognized, and he automatically apologized. "It's fine,"she said with a smile,"As long as you're here." She looked towards the door, seeing no one else. A dark look crossed her features,"The other students, however..." She trailed off, a with a flick of her wrist the door shut with a slam.


When she turned around, her smile had returned. Eris clasped her hands together,"Alright, students. As you already know, I'm Eris and this is the class of Mythical Creature Studies. Here you will learn of the different creatures of Greek culture, how they were created, and their relationships with the gods. Now, today is a bit of an overview for the class; a field trip you could call it. So, with that - "she waved her hand and a portal opened. "Just walk on through."


Once the students passed through the portal, they would be in the forest that is behind the school. They will see different friendly creatures, such as: a Pegasus, a Satyr, a Centaur, and different types of Nymphs.

Snow felt relieved that he was excused. He also felt excited that this was his first class at the school. The Son of Khione listened to Eris as she spoke and watched as a portal appeared. He was memorized by the swirly vortex, some would call him easily amused. He giggled under his breath and stood up. With the permission given he walked through the portal and was hit by the fresh smell of trees and dirt. Some Nymphs waved at him and giggled. He waved back and smiled 'this is nice' he thought. He turned back to the vortex and waited for the others to appear.

Caspar smiled at Samaria "That's a great God. You are so lucky." Caspar was going to continue speaking to Samaria when he heard Rayne. Caspar frowned at him with a confused look. "What?" Eris started to talk to Caspar automatically sat down behind Samaria and two seats away from Rayne.When Eris talked about the other students he got mad himself and shook his head disappointed at the students that didn't show up on time. He took out a little notebook and a pen that he had put in his hair seconds before leaving the dorm room to take notes. When Eris made a portal he wrote down 'HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE A PORTAL.' Then he drew a picture of it and started trying to figure out the physics of it. As soon as Eris said we can go through Caspar was the first one up and went through the portal. When he saw what was on the other side he stopped and started to take notes before coming up to them. He walked around the Pegasus taking note of what he remembered and what he was seeing. "Pegasus. Flying horse that was made by Medusa and Poseidon." He continued to do the same with all the other mythological creatures.  
Lyanete walked through the portal with bow and arrow ready. When she reached the other side she was put in the middle of a circle of Nymphs dancing around her. Some were tree like, others were animals like, some were actual animals that would transform into beautiful ladies. They danced around her and touched her. THey all had smiles upon their faces and many laughed. Flowers started to fall all around her. Lyanete put away her bow and arrow, opened her arms and started spinning in circles laughing with them.

Rayne walked through the portal and tilted his head in wonder. Immediately he could tell the place was different even without the prior knowledge he’d received. It was somewhat a lighter version than what he saw in his dreams and what he was sent. He took a deep breath as he looked around. He was actually kind of amazed at what he saw and was at least thankful that he did come today otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to see any of this. He smiled slightly at what was around him.


“Wow” he spoke as he looked around though he didn’t really say it with much emotion. He laughed slightly at the scenery before him but was kind of disappointed when he remembered this was a lesson and he has to take notes.


He noticed Snow and smiled, he seemed to be somewhat excited too despite coming late.


“Careful, you get happier than you are now and you may just drift away with the nymphs…” he teased before he laughed and smiled at the boy; to him at least it was like a dream. He hadn't really experienced such things before. He gazed around the place and remembered to take the occasional note but other than that he just wanted to sit.

Samaria followed behind the rest of the students, sucking in a breath and closing her eyes before entering the portal. She stepped inside the portal and the atmosphere became musty and humid. Giggling reached her ears and well as whinnies and grunts. She opened her eyes to see that she was in a forest and around her were creatures of myth. She saw a familiar face - the taxi driver with the goat legs. Sam came up to the driver and he grinned.

Once all the students were on the other side, Eris followed behind them, closing the portal once she was with them. "As you can see, these are the most common creatures of Greek culture. I'm going to let you all interact with them and you can ask me any questions."

Arcus looked around excitedly at the animals as Eris led them through, "Wow, this is so cool...." Arcus had never seen anything like this before, "M-Miss Eris!?" she shouted after she said questions were allowed. She waved her hand excitedly.

Eris perked up as a student called her. She turned her head to see Arcus and she walked over to her, her kind smile still in place,"Yes?"

"Wh-What's your favorite animal in here?" she asked quickly, a bright smile on her face, her eyes in direct contact with Eris's.

Eris' smile only grew wider as Arcus was kind enough to ask her a personal question; another favorite. "Well, to be honest, my all time favorite isn't any of these,"she answered,"I like the more big, bad, and dangerous creatures. They're real sweethearts once you get to know them and care for them." She looked over at the creatures that she brought for the students,"But, if it has to be one of these I would have to say the Centaur. They're buddies with Dionysus and are a ton of fun to be around during parties."

Nolan was already awake and in the class. He watched as others would talk. Nolan was more of sit back and make his battle plan, well battle plan wasn't really the right wording now.


Nolan walked into the portal and woosh he was in gone, with the class. "Damn that's fun!" He whispered to himself. He looked at some of the people and creatures and had a mental block. It was only yesterday that he was told that greek myth and folk lore were actually real. "I still don't believe it." He said, even though it was right in front of his face.


Nolan walked over to a pegasus and put a hand out. "It's alright friend. I'm not going to hurt you.... I gotta treat for you." He held out an apple. The pegasus took the apple. Nolan began to Brush the face. "Good bye... your a boy right?"


James woke up from his slumber. It was time for him to get up. The girl that was chosen to be hera was still sleeping. "Come on alicia!" (Changed the name of the dog to alicia.) "I'm talking you into work today!" Alicia jumped off the bed and ran to the door. James got ready, he put on a suit and walked to the door. He opened the door and a portal opened up to his office.


Alicia went over to her dog bed, and laid down. "Good girl." He said as he opened up his computer. "Looks like classes have started... thats good." He said as he brought up a camera on the group of students and Eris. He sent a email to Briana. "Are we still doing the fury testing?"

Caspar went around to each mythological creature, took notes, chatted a little with them but most seemed to be confused when talking to him and he had to explain himself a lot. The nymphs were nice but rather stupid. The Centaurs were drunk and dancing. The Satyrs were okay. Caspar came up to Eris next. "Excuse me ma'am? I'm done taking notes." He showed her his notes. "What would you like us to do next?"


Lyanete walked through each group after the nymphs but couldn't like any other ones. She thought the Centaurs were cool since they were half horse half man. That would be cool to be one plus they did hunt with bows and arrows a lot. She hung around them the most and enjoyed their company. They made plans to go hunting later today so they can learn a little about each other. One even allowed her to sit on them and it felt much different than an actual horse. The panes were okay. The half-goat like men. They talked to her and seemed to be the smartest in the group.

Jessie sleepily awoke he knew he was late for class,but he didn't care. He lazily got dressed in Snow's clothes completely forgetting what side of the dorm he was in "These clothes are kind of snug" he commented as he walked into the room full of mythical creatures "Sorry I'm late" he yawned

Samaria, after speaking to the familiar Satyr, went around to the other creatures. It felt so surreal seeing things she previously believed were just stories. She had to urge to tug at the abnormalities to check their validity but didn't want to get attacked nor scolded by the teacher. She disliked the Centaurs, where one of them attempted to flirt with her and the Nymphs, although interesting and fun, were a bunch of giggling ditz. So, the Pegasus, the closest thing to a regular being, was her favorite.


She looked over at a student who was feeding it an apple. "It's weird seeing a horse with wings,"she commented, attempting to make small talk. @dakup

Eris looked over at Jessie, coming in sleepy and late. She gave him a dark look and said,"See what you can; everyone else is ready to move on."

Once the students all had a turn to see the different creatures, Eris spoke up,"Alright, gather around! This is just a portion of the creatures that exist in the world; as we have more lessons, the more specific creatures we will get to see. But, these that you see -"she gestured to each being -"are a part of the "friendly" category. There are as many dangerous and deadly creatures as there are volatile. So of course I'll bring one in as well." Eris left the students, disappearing into the trees.


When she returned, she was not alone. Her companion looked human yet it wasn't. It's skin was a sickly gray and it looked wan, so thin that it was amazing it could stand on its own. It's hair was stringy and long, hanging in tangles. A glimpse of its face could be seen past the curtain of hair: eyes lacking irises and a drool dripping from its mouth filled with shark's teeth. It shook, glancing at each student, hands clenching and unclenching.


"This, is an Aerico,"Eris introduced the students,"A devil. It was the most harmless creature I could find that you could interact with." A crazed look flickered in Eris' eyes. "But do not fret - you'll get to see bigger and badder creatures as we continue our lessons. But the Aerico is a more of a hide-and-attack sort of creature and deals with diseases and infliction. A scratch can give you the common flu and a bite can give you something more deadly; even walking into its shadow can hurt you, giving you blisters and bumps." Eris turned towards it and patted it on its head, the Aerico emitting a low, gurgling sort of sound. 
Samaria gulped at the sight of the creature and every time its eyes rested on her her heart skipped a beat; common instinct told her to get out of there. But she kept her ground, for surely Eris wouldn't allow the monster to attack them. Still, how could she treat such a thing like a common pet, patting it on its head and giving it a loving look. 'I suppose teaching the class means you gotta love each thing equally,'Sam guessed.

 

[Dak]

"Good boy... I have to go. Stay." Nolan said to the pegasus. It was a sleek black. Nolan followed the teacher towards the new creature. this thing was really weird looking, but it also looked pretty cool at the same time. "Say Miss Eris, you said that these creatures are not as lethal, so these things would try and attack it if it climbed a cherry tree that in habited, or give us blisters. This bring a question to mind, what do they feed on?"

"Well, Aericos are omnivorous creatures, pretty much eating whatever they can get their hands on: berries, birds, rodents, mushrooms, even tree bark if they're hungry enough. They don't go against anything large unless they have the upper hand, despite being strong despite their looks." She shrugged,"So sometimes they'll go ahead and eat a deer or campers who've taken the wrong path."

Nolan looks at her with a confused look. "Wouldn't they be scavengers then, because they would eat anything they could get their hands on?" Nolan might be a jar head, but he's a thick-skulled jar head.

Eris' smile faltered and the Aerico gurgled in worry. "But that would still make them omnivores, wouldn't it?"she questioned Nolan, her tone daring.

 

[Dak]

Nolan knew that she was right, and he was humble enough to admit it. "I guess your right." He backed down, from asking any more questions. He just looked at the creature and began to think. If it attacked him how would he fight back. It was something that he had an instinct for. It had long talons, so would be like trying to fight someone with a knife. But Nolan just shrugged it off.


James was sitting in his office, chilling with alicia. "Looks like everything is going well..." He walked over to his saxophone stand and got it off it's stand. He looked it over, it was clean, but it would need some work done on it to make it shine. "I guess you earned a good wash." He said to his saxophone. First he wiped it down with a clean clothe. Then it came time for the nit picky stuff.


About a half-hour later James had finished. His sax was now shining, and was ready to be played. He just started to fiddle with it, making up riffs.
