BUT, this is assuming that every-character believes that the human-race deserves to repopulate. I mean, they destroyed a whole planet.Syrenrei said:It really wouldn't be about "want." I mean... imagine you really were one of the last dozen or so people left of the human race and you were trying to save your species. First of all, you'll need all the anxiety medication left on the damn planet, and second of all... you'd have to learn to get over some of your personal wants/needs/desires. I imagine that would be one of the first "lessons" of the RP. These folks are going to have to travel together and work together if they want to survive, even if they don't like it or each other. No matter how many mellow characters there are, not everyone is going to be thrilled to spend almost all of their waking moments with the diverse personalities left.
Sean has no issue with it. Because he isn't edgy enough to think that sort of thing.Foxtails said:BUT, this is assuming that every-character believes that the human-race deserves to repopulate. I mean, they destroyed a whole planet.
They could always stay behind on planet earth.Foxtails said:BUT, this is assuming that every-character believes that the human-race deserves to repopulate. I mean, they destroyed a whole planet.
Perfect summary hereSirDerpingtonIV said:RP about space dragons and survival of the human race turned into discussion about how bailey is going to force gay dudes to do the frick-frack with girls to repopulate the human race. And how Sean is sad.
I forget where I read it, but high number of females is more helping in repopulation than high number of males, so... 8DSyrenrei said:there are 3 more (presumably straight) women than there are (presumably straight) men left to populate the human race with since both Foxtail and Nai are playing what I believe is a gay couple.
Males, beware of Bailey. No slacking.ViAdvena said:I forget where I read it, but high number of females is more helping in repopulation than high number of males
I take that back. A post apocalyptic slice of life would be fun too.KingHink said:Which wouldn't make the most thrilling RP.
ROCK CAT.welian said:Should Greg's CS be completed and his character accepted, I imagine he'll be more preoccupied with trying to train a lethal dragon that's basically a fat, rocky cat and therefore untrainable.

This would lead to some interesting IC conversations on planning and offer interesting sorts of relationship issues.Syrenrei said:The only way more women would be more optimal than more men would simply be you could procreate faster. One woman would take years to have 3 children, but 3 women could take less than one year to have the same number. Of course you wouldn't want them all with the same father, but...
Yeah, I guess it's more beneficial from time standpoint. A balanced number of males and females is better for gene diversitySyrenrei said:The only way more women would be more optimal than more men would simply be you could procreate faster. And try to not get eaten by space shark?KingHink said:Though keep in mind guys, re populating is like a season 2 sort of thing.
First... we explore alien planets and the great unknown while trying to find the perfect home and eat and drink strange things to try and survive!
Or the Dark Majesty. Or Bailey.ViAdvena said:And try to not get eaten by space shark?
Be careful there. Tyrannical almost sounds like Tyranid.KingHink said:And maybe hostile tyrannical alien warfleets and stuff. I dunno yet.
Kiddy stuff. I'm sure there are more inhumanly terrifying things that we will come across.SirDerpingtonIV said:Be careful there. Tyrannical almost sounds like Tyranid.
I think I promised Weli space whales.KingHink said:Kiddy stuff. I'm sure there are more inhumanly terrifying things that we will come across.
If there is something more terrifying than the endless swarms of space-faring tyranids, we're fucked.KingHink said:Kiddy stuff. I'm sure there are more inhumanly terrifying things that we will come across.
YES YOU FUCKING DIDCloudyBlueDay said:I think I promised Weli space whales.

But they actually would be just as important in terms of keeping genes healthy.
I take that back. A post apocalyptic slice of life would be fun too.
I believe guaranteeing that the human race does not once again flourish would require someone (and their dragon) to effectively hunt the other dragons. This, essentially, would create a minor antagonist. (Since it's mostly player vs world.) That's just an idea of many though. It's not like everyone always gets something special and says, "Hey! I should use this for good!" xDSyrenrei said:They are being saved by these dragons with the intention of saving the human race. Why would the dragons even appear if they weren't trying to save the human race? Why bother? They could simply let them live out their lives on the earth and spend their time/energy on another altruistic quest.
I agree with @KingHink . If people were really against trying to revive humanity I think they'd stay behind (which is kinda boring RP-wise) or possibly would be left behind?
No need. Space Whales can happen without you exploding the AEGIS universe. :Vwelian said:YES YOU FUCKING DID
AND I WILL BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO SOMEHOW JOIN SPACE DRAGONS AND AEGIS IN A MULTIVERSE IF THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES TO GET SOME SPACE WHALES AROUND HER
There are a lot of ways the roleplay could go, and a whole bunch of aspects to explore. When I accept peoples we'll get a group chat going and start plotting out some events and developments we want to see as time goes on. It's a very player moldable world and I'm excited for all the ideas that shall come!Foxtails said:I believe guaranteeing that the human race does not once again flourish would require someone (and their dragon) to effectively hunt the other dragons. I think it is a pretty darn cool idea. And would offer plenty of philosophical discussion and drama. And I think it is something we could very well explore as the rp goes on.Foxtails said:I believe guaranteeing that the human race does not once again flourish would require someone (and their dragon) to effectively hunt the other dragons. Yes this. The dragons are going to keep y'all in shapeKingHink said:The dragons however, have a job to do and are working for the good of mankind. Not even the Dark Majesty dares to disobey it.
