ᔕᑭᗩᑕᕮ ᗪᖇᗩGOᑎᔕ - OOC

The main theme of this RP is survival. Whether it will be the survival of an individual or the survival of human species is entirely up to our characters to decide. The repopulation discussion explodes because it tends to happen with any discussion about sex somehow y'all perv

Revive, by definition is “restore to life or consciousness.” So to say that, from context, “... keep the population going,”, that’s exactly what it means. Your reply is rather dumbfounding, especially because my previous post was an explanation of the “option we would like to add.” This was our attempt of elaborating our idea at having an individual perspective. You’re taking my writing out of context and assuming it’s provocative, when it truly wasn’t mine (our foxtails’) intention.

“And though some characters may be loners,” as you say, ours are not. There’s a fine line between “passive aggression” and being a “loner” as a character. Loners prefer solitude, while passive aggression is catered through insecurities, uncertainties, and trepidation for what lies ahead.

In retrospect, I am questioning “the great dragon” on what actually is my own time and like everyone-else, am simply trying to have my questions answered; so that if my character is accepted, I understand what I’m getting myself into. Many roleplays become inactive because players lose interest from predictability, or because they didn’t realize the direction a roleplay was taking before they signed up (especially if the gm hadn’t posted a definite plot). If anything, assuring that you don’t have people who leave an RP, is defined by your ability to convey ideas.

Space dragons are the most important aspect, and why everyone is really here, so you can’t blame us for questioning the structure of the roleplay. Clarity means answering “Hey, the roleplay is more about the journey, and repopulation is an aspect of the end of the roleplay. It’s something that we won’t be focusing on.” rather than “Hey, everyone has space dragons, but after we finish the initial conflicts, we will spending a lot of time on the method of effective repopulation.”

You single-handedly turned a civil disagreement into a personal attack, and if anything you’re putting words into our mouths. Perhaps new ideas from new members, are what can assure the success and enjoyment of this reboot.
I again point out that restoring doesn't necessarily mean having more humans but you know, in the long run you're overthinking the phrasing. And you are tearing things apart a bit. I may have been adding words (to which I apologize) but it's also the impression you were giving with your words, ergo why I reacted the way I did. It felt like you were dissecting the roleplay.

Yeah, questions should be answered... but... I don't have the words to phrase what you're doing. 'Beating a dead horse' isn't quite the right metaphor to use here, but it's the closest thing I can think of.

I didn't bring your characters into the loner discussion, by the way. I know the difference between passive aggressive and loner, I was just making a point on though there are loners out there, one of the binds that will keep our characters together is the fact that they're humans. They're the last humans. And though some characters may not have the need to stick together, I feel a lot of the characters will. So, no, not arguing your characters are going to break away from the group, just trying not to generalize that 'all humans must have humans because we are humans'. Just saying most humans like having other humans around which will have them sticking together.

Cloudy has actually answered a couple times that repopulation wasn't what she had in mind, she was thinking of the journey, so your question had already been answered if not in so many words as you put it.

And I don't blame you for questioning, I just question your way of going about it. It's more... I feel your questions have been answered and you're just asking them again regardless. I suppose they may not have been answered in the words you were searching for, but the answers are more or less there in the responses.

Do you think there should be more of a definitive plot? Like 'the characters must go here, do this, accomplish this, and this is their end goal'? Maybe you should suggest it when the first question's answer doesn't really reach what you're looking for. Being straight forward can save a lot of time and trouble because instead of beating around the bush, we can get right to the root of the problem.

So let's look.. the root of the problem is you don't really understand the roleplay in it's fullest, right? Well what do you want it to be about? What were you thinking you were getting yourself into when you first made a character? Certainly you had something in mind? A point of this rp that drew you in?

Easy everyone.

No one will be making personal attacks on anybody here.

Misunderstandings are common in text format, especially among people of varying play and writing styles, and are easily remedied. I too got an aggressive impression from you towards the roleplay, but with that not being the case, I will apologize for that assumption. Though I hoped I answered some of your questions.

Sadly, you are correct about the life of roleplays and how they die. And it part of the reason why we have added a chance for more players and encourage discussion of how the rp will go.

I can easily see that Space Dragons, and basing the rp around that idea, certainly sounds like a weak idea of an RP that is more for gimmick than people's desire to see it through. Space Dragons was started during a brainstorming session, and it was titled after the two words that sparked the inspiration for this idea. From there we discussed many ideas. Until as a group, we decided on how we wanted it to go. We started it at that annoying testing time of the school year and paid the price as people didn't have the time to devote to it. Many of us that are here have come from the original Space Dragons, and it has come back because of our interest in seeing it play out. I won't lie, it some strange concepts and does require some suspension of disbelief on some matters.

So let's reorganize and get back to brass tacks.

"Well what do you want it to be about? What were you thinking you were getting yourself into when you first made a character? Certainly you had something in mind? A point of this rp that drew you in?"

And this.

"Perhaps new ideas from new members, are what canassure the success and enjoyment of this reboot."

Are both things I would love us all to discuss. Because, as I believe, roleplay is a collaborative effort, and though sometimes rulings need to be made, it is our desire in this rp to collaborate with all our players.

Also. Please pardon me how long it takes and any errors, it is currently late at night for me and I only have my phone.

There was never a problem, simply a discussion on some ideas for the roleplay. Perhaps it was a bit irritating being met with a wall of opinions that all seemed to lead to 'no', but it was never an issue; it was something we were discussing. Besides that, the question itself is rhetorical, we joined for space dragons. But.. I don't really feel comfortable with this group anymore, and don't feel like I can openly express my ideas. That being said, I'd rather look for other opportunities with Nai and can only wish the group, as a whole, well. Will be cheering on from the side lines for Lydia (
@Chamomile ), she'll triumph against all odds and find the repent she is looking for! (•̀o•́)ง

Completely understandable. I believe that this unfortunately occurred due to a misunderstanding through text; which can happen quite easily. Anyways, I wish you both well and good luck on your search for something new c:

Well I missed all the thread excitement it appears. >.> If we need anyone to double up character-wise or if I need to switch Anja to a male character let me know (pending my approval of course). Procreation concerns aside, I thought we might want an even balance of characters so if things tilt to being too many women, just let me know so I can tweak what I need to. ;)

Will do! And that is very helpful!

I don't think we will be doubling up, since all of us will already be managing two characters. Once @Prizzy Kriyze gets app put in, and we meet the first deadline. We will review the characters and balance, see what open spots we have, and go from there. Which reminds me, I really need to get to work on mine.

But until then, we have plenty to discuss about ways we can start the rp!

Last time, the dragons took everyone to Greenland where the survivors met up. Then they just went their own ways to get prepared to leave.

I can't remember how many of the characters are nomadic vs territorial, but Bailey has her act together and a sizable horde. Once we meet in Greenland, how about everyone goes over to raid her place. Or someone else that has a home base. The other option would be to scavenge through a nearby city. Which would add some length to being on earth.

Either way I like to think it would be cool of them eating a meal or something together as a group before they leave. Just for the sake of seeing how awkward people will be after being alone all this time.
My dad's like getting married or something (yeah I know how weird that sounds) so I guess it'll take a day or two
Tell him tomorrow is off the table, that's my wedding anniversary!

This is one of those times where text context may get misconstrued because I was like "Man that's super hostile" but it's probably me not reading it right

Prizzykins adores me. Mostly. This is how we talk to each other, no worries ;)

You probably read it right, but I know syrenrei since ages. Besides, who genuinely gives a shit about whose anniversary it is? I'm in Sweden, it ain't like they're going to steal your thunder.

Besides I am kind of an asshole

It's a sacred day! I'm a special snowflake!

Are you in the ceremony or can you write your app during the ceremony? =D

It's a very small deal, they're like getting married on our porch. There's going to be like 7 people there, so I cannot. I'd be found out. Besides, I gotta play music for them or... something. So you're going to have to wait :(
