Realistic or Modern Getting Back to Your Roots

Skyler nods her head in understanding. The longest she had ever been gone was 3 weeks, and she normally gets a day or two off before she has to go back into work, and she'd often have one day at the office before they were taken to another state.

Liona was glad that she wasn't the only one forced to go on this trip due to something they loved. "I was forced to come here because my mom threatened my precious cameras. So I can probably understand how you feel. And that's interesting! Do you predict this things in Isreal will improve? Also have you been able to explore Isreal where the civilians live? What's their culture like?" She questioned. She had never been to Isreal before and she wondered what the country looked like and she was curious to learn. She's been to London, Paris, Africa, and California for a few photoshoots she participated in but other than for work she hasn't really been able to explore the world and all of its treasures. Curiosity began to shine in her eyes until she noticed that Davin and Reilly disappeared. 'I wonder where they went. All well I guess I'll get to know them later.' She thought directing her attention back to Casey and Skylar.

Reilly left the kitchen with a small farewell to the occupants and headed towards the main door, leaving the building instead of unpacking Reilly walked into a forest, remembering the path he had taken and finally ended up in a clearing, listening to the birds call and the small breeze through the trees. Sitting on a fallen log Reilly enjoyed the fresh air unlike where he'd landed. Remembering his home by the smells, but it was also very different from Ireland and he had to remember that. Reilly for the first time had gotten the uneasy feeling of being somewhere he doesn't know anything about where he was, and he realized, he was feeling slightly homesick.

Dravin tries to calm down for some reason he is angry. He then punched a wall and started breathing heavy. Then he noticed his pet snake snow curiously watching him ,so he picked him up and put him around his neck and walked back out toward everyone but stopped and sat in a corner where he could see everyone. He just sat there playing with snow listening to everyone's conversations.

"Well..." Casey said and scratched her cheek. "It will probably get worse for Israel before it starts to get better. They haven't lost a battle since the Second World War so I don't think that they will lose this war either, they're pretty strong for a small folk, so I guess that they must really have God by their side." She smiled. "The culture is great, they're all really friendly and very caring, they really adore you and want to feed you. They live just like you and me, just with more bombs flying over their heads and fear of suicide bombers, but if you look past that then it's pretty cool." She said.

When she was done talking, Dravin walked down with a SNAKE and Casey knew that it was time to go for her, she wasn't the biggest fan of snakes so she excused herself and headed outside, just wandering around in the great outdoor.

Mira smiled. "Yeah. I like toast." She said, taking a bite of the toast. She liked toast, it was warm and yummy. Jam was nice, especially in the morning. And since she hadn't eaten breakfast, so the toast helped. She placed her sketch book on the counter and continued drawing her picture of herself. "It's a good way to start the morning if you don't eat breakfast on time." She said.

Liona nodded it did seem really interesting. She waved goodbye to Casey as the woman left and couldn't help but wonder why she left until she spotted Dravin with a brown and white snake. She removed her camera from her camera bag before respectfully asking, "Do you mind if I snap a few photographs of your snake?" She had never seen a snake like that. She had her share of seeing snakes when her mother use to take her to Lake George in New York when she was a little girl. Liona always loved taking pictures of anything that intrigued her since she was taught how to hold a camera.

"I don't mind and i don't think snow would wither" he said softly. Dravin put him on the floor knowing he wouldn't wonder more than a few steps away."he wont bite i promise" he said with a smile.

"Oh don't worry I'm not worried about being bit." She stated before going completely silent. She focused the lens of her camera and kneeled down as she took rapid photographs of the snake. She had her cameras flash off knowing that if she did it might scare him away. She no longer saw anything but the snake nor did she hear anything around her. She was within the world her lens created for her to escape reality. She was able to see the world as it really was. Unique. And filled with vivid colors. She saw the world more clearly when she looked it through her lens. She became one with her camera as the only sound that could be heard from her was her breathing which was synchronized to the clicks of her camera. Her face no longer contained a smile but it was serious yet it showed passion behind the mask it seemed to create. Once she finished her short 7 minute photo session with the snake her face became as relaxed as she felt. She began to smile softly at the images on the screen of her digital sony camera. She had another 4 cameras in the camera bag she had with her at the moment. She then restored her original professionally polite smile and said, "Thank you. Thank you very much!" She stated in a manner that matched her facial expressions while her voice had stated it's own happy opinion of things.

"Guess I could say the same about a sandwich, it can be eaten anytime of the day which is why I love it." He took a bite of the ham and cheese sandwich, turning to face Mira. He finally got a good chance to view Mira and to say the least he was impressed. "So tell me about yourself Mira." He said this just before another bite. He was intrigued, but none the less he was still open to others.

Draven sat there watching her take the pictures. She looked so focused so he stayed quiet.once the camera stop he replied "Anytime" to her thanks .He was still sitting down but he looked up and glanced at the women and said "Sorry I didn't catch your name earlier let me restate my name I'm Dravin" he said with a smile as he got up and extended his hand out toward the women.

Mira smiled, looking up from her drawing. "I like drawing, I have very red hair and I am a little bit eccentric." She said. "But mostly, I just like drawing. It's my life after all." She said, smiling. I looked down at the paper in my hands. I took the sketch of myself and flipped it out. "That's me." She said, pointing to the girl sitting under the stars. "That's just what I like to do." She said, dropping it back on the counter.

Liona decided to tease him a bit, "Why I'm appalled Dravin! I remembered your name yet you simply forgot mine." She joked with a hint of playfulness standing in her voice as she did a fake gasp. "I'm Liona Summers please make a effort to remember me this time." She said. She couldn't keep up her professional air anymore, she just felt relaxed and happy after taking numerous photographs. "Oh! Do you want to see the photographs I took of snow?" She asked with a smile still standing on her face.

Dravin chuckled and smiled because he noticed she was kidding by the way she gasped. He then said with a almost playful voice "most defiantly id love to see them".He moved close to look at the camera and see what photos of snow she had captured.

"I noticed the red hair and irregular, but good attitude. But I didn't know you were so talented." He smiled when she lifted up her self portrait. "What do you mean it's your life, don't tell me you're an esteemed artist." He gasped and made a shocked face, but it went away as he took another bite.

Mira smiled, looking at him. "I'm an animator." She said, taking a bit of her toast. "I draw for a living." She said. "But I am just a beginner as far as years of experience." She said, looking down. "There are people who have been there for 50 years! It's crazy." She said, looking back up at him. He was a pretty chill guy.

Skyler frowns when Casey walks away. She stands up and rubs the back of her neck before following after her. "You okay?" She asks. "Do you not like snakes?"

He swallowed the bite and replied, "Sounds pretty interesting, what do you usually animate?" Avi was interested in hearing her work and just hoped she didn't ask about his. "Oh even for a beginner your drawing seems superb.".

She scrolled through the pictures if the snake showing Dravin the different movements his snake did within the course of 7minutes. "Do you like the pics?" She asked handing Dravin her camera with her favorite picture of the snake on the screen.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_08/image.jpg.2bc22d5590c40685f6094d791e670dcb.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="27186" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_08/image.jpg.2bc22d5590c40685f6094d791e670dcb.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Dravin replied "very much so". He then turned his attention to her and said with a smile"i dont mean to pry ,but why did you come to the retreat?"

"I like animating carton like things. Anime sometimes, but mostly cartoons." Mira said looking at him. She didn't really want to ask about his work, seeing as people like him usually don't like to. She smiled a bit to herself, looking at the sketch she had drawn. She took her pencil and resketched the lines.

"Don't worry your not prying your just curious and I'm like that often, I just don't always show it. Now then back to answering your question. To tell you the truth I was pretty much blackmailed by my mother to come here. She threatened my cameras and I can't let that happen so to avoid any having to have a chance of my cameras being broken I angrily drove here more so against my will." She stated with a smile. She was no longer angry because she knew her mother was only thinking well of her. "Did you choose to join this retreat? Or were you trapped into joining as well?" She asked with her smile still standing strong.

"I came on my own will"he said with a smile."And about you mom that's not fair her forcing you to come you should wan't to come on you own"he replied. He moved his hair out of his face and just gazed at her.

"You'll have to show me some of your anime sometime Mira, for I am now off to see what activities there are." He then mentally hit himself, realizing this was supposed to be about meeting people, not solo days of relaxing. "Uhm, where are my manners, would you like to join me?". He gave a smile thinking that he might be able to take Mira out.

Liona shook her head, "She's only doing that because she doesn't want me to go through the same hardships she went through alone while she was raising me. But what she's still forgetting is that even if I do come here I probably won't come back with a boyfriend or a new fiancé and that all I may be coming back home with is some new photographs and a list of new friends." She stated with a smile before continuing, "I'll leave it to her to figure that one out."
