"Exactly, we can send a courier or a servant or something! Callum, I doubt your siblings want you to be captured again either."

"What if they found out about Camilla, though? I can't just wait for a courier to go check on her, come all the way back, and then have to travel all the way to Cross Castle. It's too much risk."

"You should stay here and make sure things are situated. We need to let as many people know we're not vampires as possible, and that starts with sending letters out to lords and the king."

"You can work on that while I'm away. It shouldn't take me too long." Callum reasoned as he finished gathering his things.

"Yes, love." Callum said. He gathered his things, and gave Em a tight hug and a long kiss. "I'll see you in two weeks?" He smiled softly.

Callum had reached the castle in just under a week. He was tired but content, and sneaked into the castle through the grate he showed Emmalia. When he got inside, he got past all the guards and managed to get to Cameron when he was alone. After a brief moment of being startled, Cameron expressed his happiness for Callum making it out. He had asked about the situation, and Cameron told him all about hoe great it was to be the warlord, and that Camilla had gone to her shop safely to hide from the guards. He stayed for as long as he could before leaving again, and heading back. He stopped by to check on Camilla, who was alright and content at her location. He finally returned back to their castle in just under 2 weeks, and went to find Emmalia.

Emmalia was holed up in her wing of the castle, avoiding her mother, the guards, and some male servants. Mostly she only allowed handmaiden and a few female servants around. The weeks had started off great, with her writing the letters with eloquence and perfect handwriting, but after a few clashes with her mother and a glance or two from a guard, she started acting more like a hermit. Her consolation was the castle cats, which adored her loving cuddles and gifts of treats.

When Callum returned, his beard was grown out a bit from not shaving, and when he got to where Emmalia was, he grinned. "Hey, love!" He exclaimed and tackled her in a hug.

Emmalia was very glad to see him, and hugged him tightly. "Cal! You're okay! I'm so glad to see you, I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too!" He chuckled as he hugged her tight, and kissed her deeply. "I love you so much, and I missed you so much!"
