"It's what a husband should do for his wife." Callum replied, motioning towards Camilla's direction. "We should make sure she's not trying to suck her own blood," He joked.

"I guarantte she is asleep, but okay," Em said with a grin. They walked in to check on Camilla, and sure enough, she was asleep.

"Okay." He said quietly, worry spread across his face. Callum would have pressed further, but with Emmalia's words from earlier, believed he was worrying too much. "Do you want to go back to the castle?"

"What should we do? We can camp out here for the night, or I can stay on my own, or possibly get some guards to stay with her?"

When Callum had taken off his armor and set it aside with Em's help, he sat on the edge before laying down. "Emmalia? I don't believe I've ever asked, but do you have any siblings?"

Em looked at him and shook her head. "No, I'm an only child, much to mother's dismay." She knew why he was asking, he was concerned for Camilla. She asked, "Camilla once told me Gallium had six children, including you. Do you know what happened to any of them?

"Well, excluding Camilla and I, there's Caspian, the oldest, who's off somewhere across the sea, doing foreign trade for Gallium. Well, he was, but now he's doing it for us. The next oldest, Cameron... Well, anyway, there's also Cassian, the youngest besides Camilla and I, who was given a cozy plot of land and lives out his days without a worry. Last I heard from either of them was well over half a decade ago."

Callum brought his hand up and pinched the bridge of his nose for a moment before exhaling. "Cameron disappeared seven years ago after events occurred with their mother. None of us found any trace of him. The four of us act as though he doesn't exist. He's a dark mark on our family."

"It was how he went missing." Callum added. "He gave Gallium a bad name for what he did before he left, and because Gallium ceased to see him as being his son, all of us had to forget he was our brother."

Emmalia listened, then said, "Cal, please stop being so cryptic. I can only assume what you're meaning, and I would rather hear the actual truth."

"Our mother died, and Cameron couldn't handle it. He went mental at a party held for all of the Lords a while later, and that's when he disappeared. The scene made Gallium look bad, and he disowned Cameron. Gallium wasn't even phased when she passed though, the heartless bastard he is."

"That was why Caspian, Cassian and I all met about five years ago. We tried looking for him, but there was no trace at all. And once Gallium found out, he was furious. So we never tried again after that."

"Possibly." Callum said, but it was obvious in his tone he doubted their success. He turned over and closed his eyes. "That's enough for tonight. We can talk more about this tomorrow."
