please remember that the 'contamination' is actually a living parasite. so you wouldn't be able to detect 'contamination levels' however, you could detect the parasite if you test the water/food. but even then you can still possibly get infected with a parasite.

canned food is probably the closest to can get to safe. (since the parasites were on Gastrea even before the humans gots there. as for water... im just gonna say yeah.

(its not like matters. same team, same dream. Are Soma and Cross ranked COs? I wanna be able to have my character address them by rank. If not then maybe add it because Internal Gov Orgs and military work off the same chain when dealing with internalized problems. )

(wait so how is it transmitted then? just through fluid exchange? I'm sure people can carry parasites on their person or objects that can pose a hazard right?)

technically, Soma and Cross don't have official ranks for different reasons.


Cross because he was supposed to be destroyed along with the other subjects that were labeled failed, defective or incomplete.


Soma because the was the only experimental soldier to be fully completed... days before the project fell through and was abandoned.


however the program was meant to create a force that had no restrictions on their authority or actions. So in terms of rank... they would be considered their own militant force, but with the authority to over write everyone of power's decisions.

and the infection is mainly spread via an infected weakening a survivor so they can't fight back. and then injecting young parasites directly. and yes, the parasites con be detected if they are on something/someone if you have equipment specialized specifically for checking parasites. but it is unlikely that your WHOLE unit focused on securing the area would have said equipment.

that would be funny.... but his armor won't collapse. it would however lose all its fuctions but still be able to move... but funfact: Soma is actually better WITHOUT his suit. the suit is kinda like a limiter for Soma.
