Futuristic Gastrea Virus (zombie RP)

Zeldafangirl said:
Nikki just ran as she was looking at the girl next to her trying to get out of there as she just sliced some zombies she had her gun in her pocket just in case she lose her katana as she saw the door as she open it" alright that was close" she say as she saw a girl on a the street maybe older than her @Mitchs98 @sprouhtt
Selene moved quickly around the town that she once knew but now is turned into nothing but a memory of what it use to be. Selene heard voices and she looked in the direction that it was coming from and saw a few people staring at her but she didn't know if they were zombies or not since they were a good distance away from her. She held her gun up, pointing that them as she moved forward...Selene wasn't going to take any chances.

Graham entered the city and looked around. Barren. He opened a door to a grocery store and looked around. "Guess I gotta stock up on supplies," he said.

Graham went to the tools section. He noticed a crowbar and gasped. Graham shook his head and walked to the food section.

Graham took some beans..?

Cross followed the others. Maybe Chess deserved a quick shot to the foot. It would teach the girl not to insult him. Cross shook his head. No that wasn't the right thing to do. he would help the others but Chess was on her own. He whispered to Viper "What did she mean when she said I didn't deserve an honorable death?"

Gale shrugged, "Hell if I know. Like I said, I joined them not to long ago, and I don't really think Chess likes me. Eh, whatever, as long as she doesn't shoot me, it's fine." She felt her arm click again. "Damn it, again? Great."

Nikki saw the girl pointing the gun at her as she got out her fun" lower your gun we are not zombies I'm human along with this girl" she told her holding up the gun afraid as she walked closer she had to be sure she wasn't a zombie @sprouhtt @Mitchs98

Cross heard the click. "When we find a place to rest I'll fix it. Trust me I worked on stuff like that."

@FireMaiden
"Shhhhhhhh! It isn't a normal prosthetic, so shush!" Gale said with a hushed, but quick voice. "A screw is loose, and without it, I won't be able to lift my arm."

Selene listened to them as they spoke and they were right they weren't zombies at all but then again she doesn't think that the zombies can say a full sentence. Selene lowered her gun and walked over to them,"Are any of you injured?" She asked making sure she was cautious if they were bitten or even scratched.

"Why, certainly! It'd be my pleasure."

Adding an odd, but fitting accent to his words, he walked a little bit up ahead, waiting for the other two to follow. It's not like he wasn't wary of them, but it's rather the fact that Jeson didn't care what happened. As long as he was in a state where he could be important, that's what mattered. Curious on the nature of the both of them, Jeson was fortunately one of the two in the group that knew the location of the mechanic's lodge, and he waited for Cross and Viper to catch up if they lagged behind, matching a pace to them.

"Trust strangers all your life, huh? Wow, you and Chess are awfully similar, no wonder you don't get along. Then again, they don't get along with anyone. But trusting strangers definitely isn't something that you really, grow up through. Live a rough life?"

That's when Jeson stopped in his tracks. Cross stopped, and immediately began to storm in the opposite direction. His eyebrows furrowed, now it was just Viper's choice with who to go along with now

"Well, it doesn't seem like he's going to go to the mechanics."

"You're an idiot."

"He can't hear you."

Without even needing to ask why, Chess kept walking, this time an audible groan coming from them as they brought their palm towards their face, very slowly dragging it down and stretching their facial features. Stopping on the sidewalk and looking behind them, Xi was on the ground by the pavement, plucking something away from inbetween the cracks of the sidewalk.

"Thyme is an aromatic herb, did you know the flowers, leaves, and oil of it can be used for stomach aches, sore throats, coughs, and a mainly a lot of stomach-related uses. We could make some nice tea for this, it's a good cold-and-cough remedy..."

Blinking cluelessly at his short ramble, at least Chess was considerate enough to wait for him to finish. After all, he was insanely useful, being one of the only medics in the group. But while waiting, their gaze caught on a familiar set of heterochromia and silver hair in the distance.

"Oi, is that the marmalade kid?"

"Suitable nickname. Yeah, it is. I'm... surprised."

Raymond appeared cautious with his steps, and still appeared to be a fair bit behind them. Perhaps he was making sure that he wasn't going to be followed? Or maybe anything that the duo would do. Raising their hand to wave behind them, at least Raymond had some sort of capability in fighting. Well, everyone back there did, but Chess wasn't in the mood to risk figuring out. How did they dodge a sniper shot? Their aim was usually dead-on, how could they miss?! Criticizing themself harshly as Xi was fantasizing over plants, Go took the opportunity to lightly jog over to the male. But rather than absolute h a t r e d and a will to fight, Go looked like a fascinated child, standing at a (sad) 5'3 and looking up.

"You can use a sword insanely fucking well, where'd you learn?!"

"My dad is an Admiral and my mom was a Commander. Yeah, you could say it was a rough life. I mean, I practically grew up on a military base, and my father rained me to be solider. It's really the only thing I'm good at," Gale said with a small chuckle.

Seeing as the two others weren't going crazy with their freedom, he relented on his cautious behavior and instead let out a relieved sigh. Raymond's relaxed gaze wandered to sky, one hand gripping onto the strap of the bag on his shoulder and the other resting on the protruding hilt of one of his swords. "To grab the marmalade and crackers.. or not to grab the marmalade and crackers.." The simple question was thought provoking to him, giving him something to debate about on his silent walk. "Rather not. The marmalade is mine and mine alone," forgetting the moment he had given some to Chess, "I won't share if I don't have to.."

His attention then shifted to the mess of red hair get closer to his own position. Grip tightened slightly on the hilt of his blade, then relented as he noticed that Go's features showed no sense of violence or hatred. He listened to the question, then withheld a smirk that was growing in him as he thought he might as well tease a new ally. "Where I learned to use a sword insanely fucking well, huh?" The hand on his blade went to his chin, and he bit the corner of his lip to think back to that time. "Well. I've been training since quite a young age, getting to kill my first back in junior high.." Raymond spoke as if he was in a dream, trying to infect the redhead with the thought of Ray being a sadist. "And you? It looks like you're a swordsman too."

@Entarriance

Graham equips his sword as the infected charges. "With mine blade, I slash at thee. Thou cannot escape mine wrath.."

"Oh really? Sounds rough. Chess' dad was a mob boss, and they grew up pretty much as a bodyguard. Well, not like they really were trained to do anything else. I kinda heard it from rumours, but never witnessed them really assassinating someone myself. Anywho, life has it's ups and downs, hopefully you guys'll get along and Chess can actually make a friend for once."

Tugging on the hem of his shirt, he was able to see a head of silver a little farther ahead, and a blur even farther. It was his group for sure, and with Xi looking like he was kneeling on the ground, he probably found his home among a field of pavement-growing plants. Catching note of something he said earlier, his eyebrows knit together in confusion, remembering the statement she had made earlier in the day.

"... wait, prosthetic arm..? I thought you needed the screwdriver for your sniper scope, love~."

It definitely wasn't the best impression on Jeson, especially with Chess' constant paranoia. To realize that she lied simply abouta screwdriver and held a mechanical limb with strength capabilities different of one with a normal arm, that definitely was not a road that Jeson wanted to traverse.

"In high school?! No fuckin' way, I got someone fatally injured in middle school!"

"Trevor, 23, you pulled a bad move and hit him in surprise before the battle started near the carotid sinus. It was a cheap blow."

"Still! Aw man, it's fucking rad I got to meet someone who knows how to use a sword! Hm, where'd I learn, it's probably back when I was like 4 or 5. I didn't have a sword or anythin' but this broken pole thing from our house. I was poor as jack shit back then, and our neighborhood was pretty much as bad, so I won fights'n'stuff for one of those street competition things, where people bet money on who wins. It was fucking awesome, I managed to get enough street crud to be respected."

"Go. You know it wasn't worth it."

Go's expression seemed to stiffen a little bit at their words, though unlike Chess' typical apathy, they had much more when it came to expressions. He seemed genuinely hurt by what Chess had said, though nonetheless, he quickly regained his composure by laughing it off, scratching the back of his head.

"Yeah, it wasn't. It really wasn't. After that, I got picked up by that indifferent asshole over there and finally got an actual weapon. I was a bit rusty with the weapon change, but I guess I kinda self-taught myself enough to get the hang of it."

"... wait, wait, first kill in high school?!"

Finally coming to the realization of what he said, Xi quickly shot up, bits of thyme stuck in his bangs from bringing it eye-level with his face. With a frantic expression, he looked between Go and Chess, who seemed unphased with the event. Looking straight back at the male, he straightened his posture again, though the worried demeanor of his never left.

"Kill? As in people? What are you, a sadist?! That's awful, what would happen if you got caught doing that or something! Just killing people in general is awful... and Go, don't be so proud that you got a weapon, you beat up so many innocent people! Both of you, don't go around hurting others."

"Thanks for the life advice, mom"

The two of them bickered, and Chess absently had their gaze averted to the side, losing them halfway in the conversation. They were quick to have their mind wander to other things, but Chess respected them enough to let them lighten the mood a little. If Jeson was gone for this long, than he was bound to be talking to the two earlier. Chess wasn't very keen on letting them enter, what's the worst things that could happen? Well maybe Raymond wasn't as pleasant as Chess had thought they were, maybe he's just trying to bond with their team members to learn their weaknesses and catch them off guard, than take whatever they own from the inside. Jeson could be hurt right now, he could get cornered by the both of them, why did Chess leave them alone? No, he's nimble enough for that not to happen... but even so. Always play for the worst-case scenario, as they say.

"Everyone reacts like that," She sighed, "Well, I do need to adjust the sights on my weapons, but, there's a screw loose. Without fixing it, I won't be able to use my arm," She explained. "It...well, it was blown off on a recon mission that went bad. I think I was....12? Yeah. Four years ago."

Cross had a question for Jacen. "What did she mean when she said I didn't deserve an honorable death. And why is she treating me like I'm nothing more than a machine. Some of her comments hit home for me."

Raymond let out a laugh, trying his best to suppress it from being louder than he wanted. The group amused him, and kept him company. Company he hadn't experienced in such a long time. "The kill wasn't exactly meant to happen, you see." He corrected, although with his teasing he understood how and why they may have assumed it was intentional. "Self defense against someone my age at the time. At the time, what I had was the handle of a broom stick. But anything can become a fatal weapon, especially if you shatter enough bones in their cervical vertebrae." The hand holding his bag strap pointing at the parts of the spine in the back of the neck. "If he had been lucky, it could have just been paralysis from the neck down. But he was not." The look on his face was of slight discomfort at the story, but quickly changed into one with a halfsmile. "I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it partially. The feeling of defeating your bully since childhood."

He then raised his hand and ruffled the hair of Xi, treating him like a child. "You act like killing is such a rarity nowadays. I had my blade at the neck of that one guy (Cross), nothing different, right? Self defense, or rather being defensive over you three." Chuckling with a grin, he then looked over at Chess, expecting a less-than emotional expression. "But I'm sure Chess could've done it on her own. I was literally the back up." He wasn't certain where they were headed, but he made sure to keep track of where the others where around them. "You haven't killed yet, have you?" Looking directly at Xi, being quite curious, especially after his reaction. He could guess that Go and Chess most likely have, but Xi he wasn't so sure.

Speaking of the positives, Jeson looked back towards Cross, who asked him about Chess nature. He brought his index finger and thumb around his chin, as if in thought, as his gaze swam around the sky dramatically. As if coming to a conclusion, his eyes seemed to light up a little, before he spun around completely, a cheeky grin over his face.

"Well, love, Chess grew up as chattel for 17 years. It's hard going from living your life for someone else to living your life for yourself. Have your sense of self-identity being someone not you, and then suddenly regaining it, it's easier said then done. If you really want to know, you should ask them yourself. "

While Jeson could go into the details, it rather not be some sappy story that he should step foot into. It wasn't his life he should be talking about behind their back, even if his nature made it easy for him. He spun back around and continued walking, making small talk with the people that was following him. It was interesting, seeing Chess somehow acquaintain themselves with someone else, but gain such animosity from other people with their rude bluntness. Nonetheless, it was interesting to see how people talked about each other when they weren't around. The nature of humans was filled with enmity, at least for Jeson, though all the more fascinatuing.

Snapping out of their daze, they managed to catch bits of the conversation once again, Raymond mentioning how he's killed someone for the matters of self defense. Death didn't particularly phase Chess. They grew up with death pretty much at their doorstep, so hearing it again was merely nostalgic for them. With less of the happiness part. The bickering between the group and Raymond's laughter definitely lit up the mood a little, Xi frantically trying to fix his hair yet again, a scowl on his face, while Go would simply point and laugh at his flustered appearance. He acted like he was already part of their messed up little family, and at least he got along

"But I'm sure Chess could've done it on her own. I was literally the back up."

Catching them off guard, pale cheeks seemed to slightly grow pink, while their expression didn't change in the slightest, giving it an odd look. Setting their gaze back to the side, they shrugged as a response to it.

"Sure."

Chess started walking again after that, causing Go and Xi to push forward, but not before Go had heard the question that Raymond pushed on whether or not Xi had killed someone, even
hurt someone. Looking back at him with a cocky grin, Go's arms folded over his chest with his tounge sticking out like a child's.

"You couldn't even step on a fuckin' flower."

"I could! It's just, rather rude to do so..."

"The dandelion wouldn't even hurt a fly."

"Cut it out! Gah... the name's Xi."

Fixing his previously flustered and slouched posture, he reluctantly held out his hand to the man, who only stood a few inches taller than him. At least he had confident in his own height, which stood only shorter to Jeson in the group. And, well, Raymond. Go happily walked with a stride of victory towards Chess, who was finally making progress in walking to the mechanic's lodge. Go usually wasn't smart enough to trumph Xi in an argument, though with his flustered appearance and lack of ability to defend himself over the fact that he's the only one who hasn't fatally harmed someone, it made him seem a lot more innocent and childish.

"There's not up side to this besides I can walk and have both my arms. Damn things stunted my growth. I was a test subject, so I don't get the cool stuff the others did," Gale said, "I nearly died."

Soma walked over to Celia, having finished the maintenance on his suit. He already had it reequipped. Soma walked over to see what Celia was doing. "hey... what's up...?" He was clearly not good with making conversation or starting one for that matter.

Raymond stood and watched the two banter, shaking his head as they finished. He had hardly noticed Chess continue on as his attention was on the other two, only taking notice went Go went on ahead to catch up. He was caught by surprise when Xi offered his hand, having forgotten that names were still unknown to each other, and Raymond had yet to strike much of a conversation with Jeson either.

"Raymond." Stating his name, closed mouthed smile on his face as he proudly spoke his name. "Raymond, or Ray, Sinclair. Pleasure to be acquaintance." The tone of his voice had shifted to a much more enthusiastic sound, rather than the mocking one he usually spoke in. "Don't take being harmless as a bad thing." Raymond spoke to Xi out of the blue, followed with "It's a rarity that most can't say truthfully. A factor in an ally that you can't find any more. It's much easier to gain the trust of new allies, who will know you won't stab them in the back." Ray hardly gritted his teeth when speaking, but it was usually on touchy subjects. His close-mouthed appearance showed he just began to, and his eyes darted to the ground to avoid the gaze of Xi.

He would recollect himself quite quickly, speeding up his pace to make sure they did not fall too far behind from Go and Chess. "C'mon, you probably know the way but I'm still learning." He chuckled and sped to a light jog, looking far back behind them to try and spot Jeson, Cross, and Viper, the latter two being individuals he was still wary of. "These three don't seem to mind Jeson being alone with them.. maybe he's got more skill than just his eloquent speech.." He thought as he began to push the thought to the back of his mind. He would get to know him later, perhaps once they made it to their destination.
