They reached the cross roads of were they would leave to their respective dorms. "Tonight was one the best Halloweens I ever experienced....well except the cleaning part...I guess ill see you in the morning....have a good night Earl" Emily said.
"You too." He sakd.
Emily smiles heading back to the Slytherin dorms, taking a shower, and heading to bed. The next morning they had no classes and Emily ended up unintentionally sleeping in, and completely missing breakfast.
Earl waited for her.
Emily walked out of the Slytherin dorms surprised she had slept in for so long. She wondered where Earl, Allysa or Josh would be as she stepped out of the dorms. "Earl?...oh hi" she said surprised to see him but happily smiled seeing him.
"You missed breakfast so I saved you a donut." He said.
"yes...I think I was more tired than I thought..." Emily said walking over to Earl "a donut?....not a very healthy breakfast choice..." she commented taking the donut "but delicious thank you Earl" she smiled, Earl was sweetest always thinking of his friends
"Maybe not but its sweet. And you love sweet." He said.
"....true..I do adore sweets...." Emily smile taking a bite of the donut "you sure a bad influence you know that ..."she said teasingly.
"I know." He said.
Emily smiled as she ate another piece. "So Earl you have anything planned for today going to go get in more trouble?" She teased as she started to walk away from the Slytherin dorms.
"Oh so much. Thomas is trying to impress a hufflepuff girl today. So I'm gonna fly around dripping water balloons on him when he does." He said. "She gave me permission."
"I see you choose nothing but trouble this morning," Emily said chuckling to herself. "so Thomas has a crush on someone?..." she quietly giggled before finishing her donut. Emily quietly listened to what he had planned to do. "wait?....the girl Thomas has a crush on knows he likes her and is okay with you dropping the balloons on Thomas?.... I didn't expect that....from her being excepting to such a park I'm guessing she doesn't fancy him?" Emily asked
"I don't think anyone fancies him."
"I dont know if that's true....there are some crazies out there," Emily said with a chuckle "you just did some time last night for our rule-breaking....are you prepared to do some more time if you get in trouble for this?.." She asked walking along with Earl.
"Yeah but... You stay out of it." He said coming to a sudden realozation.
Emily chuckled "we might just have to....what?..."Emily's smile went away. She was actually going to join in the prank if it ment getting back at Thomas. She had just been poking fun how Earl was quick to risk getting into trouble after coming out of it. "What do you mean I stay out of it?..." Emily frowned as she crossed her arms. "...why the change of not wanting me to help?...I was ready to get back at Thomas.."
"Because we've been in trouble a lot. If I get expelled I go back to am orphanage. Where do you go back to if you get expelled."
"Then why go get in trouble....I would hate for you to get expelled...." Emily said uncrossing her arms. "I guess ...I would try to go back home to father..." she answered
He took both her hands. "That's not a good place for you."
Emily looked down at his hands holding hers. After what has been going on this year Emily knew her home wasn't a safe space and it woukd be disaster if she went homeafter being expelled. "....I know....but no matter what he is still my father and that is still my home.....I wound have no other choice....we're else would I go?" She said looking back up to Earl.
"Well like I said you come with me." He said.
"To the orphanage?..." Emily said, to which she had actually been thinking about it after the large fight she had with her father of her choice to side with her friends instead of him. When Earl had suggested she come with him during the holidays. "I been thinking....I would like to see if it's true that the muggle world is as brilliant as you make it out to be.." Emily said implying she wanted to go with him during their Christmas brake.
"Works for me." He said
Emily smiled and moved his hands from his hold, "so this prank you're doing on Thomas...what you want me to do to help" she said
