Okay, it seems I found a good solution to help with the breathing part of my problem, and also learned that i was so dehydrated that my muscles were literally starting to crush my bones somehow.. or at least it felt like that... Bwhaha.


So, My post is actually almost done finally. May have to rewrite it a little towards the end but thats okay.

I personally think this reply really strengthens my idea that each of your posts keeps showing us more and more depth to your character. Not only this one showed a vulnerable side to Hak but also give us more insight to what kind of character he is and his intentions. I'd say, keep it up! I believe the best a role player can do is to show that their character is more than just a one-dimensional tool for writing, it has strengths and flaws, it is unique in its own way, it feels real. And you do just that.

That helps me out a ton, you basically pointed something out that i actually had no idea that's what i was doing. it's funny really since every time I usually RP I more than likely have literally no clue how my character will develop nor am i 100% knowledgeable of the character him/her-self even though they are my characters.


So, though I created Hak, i pretty much know next to nothing about him other than what comes out of my head as i write.


Since I have two styles; 1.One-dimensional character, pre-created along with how he will develop, his relations with other etc.


The 2nd style is basically what i'm doing with Hak. I have created four other characters that are similar to him, which I know what happens at the beginning and end, but not in between. Hak is actually a 'alternate version' Of two characters from both styles i have.


Even though i say that Hak is still a different beast compared to most of my previous characters. I don't really know how to explain other than he is pretty much a new existence.


But again, thanks for that insight.

  Biography: Born of noble birth in the land of Toukan, Qiaolian had quite the luxurious life. She was fed the most delicious of cuisines, dressed in the finest of silks, and given top quality toys to play with. Being the tomboy she was, she never really cared much for the dresses and toys, preferring to spend her time playing outside with the servant children. However, this was not allowed as a noble's daughter and therefore her father forbade her for playing with them ever again. His words never meant anything to her as she continued to play with them regardless of what he said often times leading to longer lectures on position and status. She didn't really like either of her parents as she rarely saw them, the two often going away to handle political affairs, leaving the child to be raised under the maids supervision. The only times she and her parents actually conversed were the many times they'd lectured her on her position and how the world of nobility worked. Other than that they never worried about their daughter, leaving her to her own devices. This made her quite the independent kid, but also brought about a naivete that would soon be her down fall.
  
  While playing with the servant's children, she had found a new face in the crowd, a girl who looked almost identical to her. If she didn't know any better she'd think that the girl would have been her sister or something, but knowing herself to be an only child she quickly threw away the thought. However, having found a girl with the same face as herself she couldn't help but pay heed to the child's presence. The two chatted for a bit and played together soon creating a unbreakable bond that Qiaolian thought would last forever. The days continued like this until the girl named Xiou asked if they could switch places for awhile as she had never been a noble before. Qiaolian didn't think much of the request at the time and agreed seeing no harm in the little game as they were identical. Assured that they wouldn't be caught and interested to see how her servants lived, they switched without a single soul knowing what had been done.
  
  Living in her servant's quarter she found the place to be unbearable. The beds were hard and smelled of urine. The food consisted of stale bread and some potato concoction that she didn't even think was edible before she saw the others around her devour it like it was the best thing they've ever eaten. Qiaolian never noticed this before, but their clothes were awfully itchy and were made out of old wool and rags that had been worn out. A week had passed since they switched and it was time for them to return back to their normal lives. As she waited she saw beautiful Xiou walking toward her in a hot pink gown, her complexion much better than before when they had first switched. Coming towards Qiaolian, Xiou asked with sweet words if they could prolonged this little game until the next week saying that she never knew of such luxury in her life. Remembering the shabby shack she'd lived in for the past week she agreed telling herself that another week of this wouldn't be so bad. In the guise of a servant, she cleaned the stables, lifted heavy pails of water to there destinations, cleaned the halls of the castle, all while watching the joy on Xiou's face as she played with her toys and ate her food.
  
  The week had soon come to an end with Qiaolian waiting for Xiou to return so they could switch once more. She waited... and waited ... and waited. She never came. She rationalized it to be that she was just having a little fun and came back the next day to only find that she didn't come. While waiting for Xiou, days soon became weeks, and weeks then became months. Tired of waiting, she went to see Xiou who was now the spitting image of a princess living the life that her father had intended for her. She asked Xiou to switch with her, but was met with a face of confusion as if she had never seen Qiaolian before. Confused, Qiaolian exclaimed her name only to meet another confused look as Xiou told her that it was her name and that she needed to leave immediately. Soon after, her father came into the room along with his fellow guards. Ecstatic to see him for the first time in her life she told of Xiou's treachery only to be answered by the two guards at her father side. As she heard her father stating that a bronze skin child could never be Qiaolian he order them to take her away and whipped her for her disobedience. That day she received 50 whippings that left permanent scars on her back, a constant reminder of where her naivete led her.
  
  Qiaolian continued under the servitude of her family, watching her former friend live an astounding life that had once been her. A life she had took for granted and missed so much. At one point, she could no longer take it and allowed her anger to get the best of her as she lashed out at her look like, running her claws across her face. The guards came to her aid as they pulled the wild beast away from the "girl" and sent her off to the market to be sold as a slave to another. Her life then was clouded in mystery as she hopped from master to master, learning that being a girl was only a hindrance and so she hid her gender. She then learned from an old prostitute that even is she was a boy, a pretty face like her own would gain the attention of the master regardless of gender. This led to her hiding her face in bandages, and she lived such a life for 7 years until finally escaping from her enslavement and becoming a free girl (boy) at last.

Let's begin the analysis.


Celestial Power: Her celestial power is way too broad. To illustrate, the power is comparable to drinking from a GULP size container, and I would like you to concise and precise it to drinking with a straw. The power is supposed to give a slight edge in all aspects of life for the celestial warrior, not just combat. Have a look at some of the other approved powers. Some may be vague but that is because I have special use for their character or because I have been RPing with them a long time and they know not to abuse the use of said celestial power. However most can be rather unique, something that instead of giving prowess in combat, develops their characters traits.


Personality:


1. Intelligence. As the RP is only loosely based on the Fushigi Yuugi franchise, such things as lore,history,locations, timelines, teachings, government etc may be all created from scratch, as GM that is my responsibility or to choose who to delegate that to. I cannot have a character who has 'been around' in such a broad sense. I suggest to stick to their specific towns or regions. Intelligence is one thing and acceptable as well, but I guess I am referring more towards being knowledgeable.


2. Logical and manipulative: These ones seem to appear quite often, if possible please choose 1 of those and find another.


Biography: I am not sure if you knew this, but all celestial warriors are born with the constellation symbol. Your characters parents would have certainly known about it and would act as proof that she was the real deal and not Xiou. If you have find a loophole around it, more power to you, I am just putting that in there. Also, if she was a noble of any sort, then she would be a celestial warrior known to the Empire of Toukan, which is part of the current storyline; the empire wants to use the celestial warriors powers in some way, perhaps for war or the like. Otherwise excellent story.

I've been meaning to ask you, but is the Genbu Empire Toukan, Koukan, or Hokkan? In my first post, I put Hokkan cause that's what I found in the wiki, but now I'm not so sure...@_@
