Realistic or Modern From The North With Fury (Always Accepting)

Most of the Vikings now slept, drunk or passed out. All around the camp soldiers surrounded it, hiding in the shadows. If anyone cared to notice, the Vikings sentries would be missing. An erie silence filled the air, as if an Y own Renton was growing. Then men could be heard screaming in all different directions as soldiers of Sadime's rushed in, taking the Vikings off gaurd and picking them off left and right, at least 209 soldiers had jumped out and started attacking the Vikings, if noticed, the camp would be completely surrounded by soldiers, and Sadime ran through the camp, her and other soldiers scattering as they started killing off Vikings. In no time, it would be full out war between the two sides, the sounds of men, yelling, and weapons clashing would ring out through miles.

Serana on the other half, was nearing the ships, gathering her skirts, she sprinted for the ships. Although she doubted she'd be chased. The war breaking out behind her would be far to much of a distraction.

(Hope i didn't miss anyone.)

"Ouch!" He hissed, still grinning. He then soon realized, by the way Eira walked and spoke, she was upset by something. Surely, a tiny joke such as that wouldn't get on her nerves. He thought, scratching his beard. That was until they came across three figures, their bodies lay perfectly still in the beams of blue light from the small glade in which they laid. Tightening his grip on the axe he had obtained, Arvid pushed past Eria. Nothing. Only the sound of the crickets. That was until a man in strange armor bolted out of the underbrush from Arvid's back, screaming a war cry as he did. The man jabbed his sword downwards, hitting Arvid with a glancing blow, sending scarlet blood spurting from his flank. The Viking snarled and hit the local in the face with his shield, probably breaking his nose.

Argeus shepherded Briana just as the soldiers advanced on the camp. " We should slip away while the fighting is going on." Argeus said trying to leave the forming battlefield as quickly as possible.

A figure made his way through the camp. He would strike and kill any lone vikings, and then he would disappear back into the shadows. Though the figures main goal was removing any form of light that he could. He would take any torches or can and smother them, and then go back to the darkness to hide again. For the open flames like bonfires there wasn't much he could do for those so he ignored them for the most part.

Eira smirked, "told you it wasn't any jotun" she called to him as she took on her own ambush by another solider who was clearly at a disadvantage with all the heavy armor. The man had managed to get a few swings in before Eira managed to get to her only weapon, the small knife she used to skin her kill with. Shifting backwards as he man advanced, timing a large swing to her advantage, Eira leapt forward bringing the small knife into the soft part under the man's chin. The man dropped his sword to push her away as he let out a muffled yelp, in turn Eira snatched up the weapon off the grass, observing as the man gripped at the handle sticking out from his jaw.

Briana glanced back at the sudden outburst of noise as armored men emerged from the shadows, her thoughts drifting back to when she was in Arvid's tent, they could have saved her then, when he had his guard down. She frowned, at least she was free now, turning she kept close to Argeus.

Now that the man was on the ground, Arvid jabbed the tip of his sword into his chest, watching as it sunk deeper into him and bright blood welled up from the edges of the wound. Looking back up, he saw that more and more men poured from the shadows, wearing mail armor. "Let's move!" He shouted to Eira, clutching his wounded flank. The Viking ran the best he could towards the camp, seeing it's dim glow through the trees. Almost there...That was when a massive Irish brute stepped out in front of him. The Norsemen where big, but this man seemed to dwarf Arvid in stature.

Argeus quickly lead Briana away from the carnage, " Let's get as far away from here as possible. If we can find the camp of that woman and her soldiers that would be ideal. I'm sure we can get her to take us to the king." Argeus said as he picked up a random stick that was big enough to serve as a walking stick. So long as they didnt run into any more Vikings they were home free.

An arrow, expertly crafted with the finest bronze tip, shot through the man's neck, leaving him clutching it as blood dripped from between his fingers.

"Still as careless as ever, eh Arvid?"

Eira watched as the armored man fell to the ground, blood bubbling from his mouth, she stepped closer reaching down to pluck her knife out of the man's face, he grabbed at her ankles, Eira gritted her teeth as she kicked the hand away. She turned to see the hulking man, suddenly taken down by an arrow, a grin set on her face, "everyone is giving you hell today aren't they Arvid" she teased walking forwards, the sight of the men chasing after them made her pick up her pace into a run, "let's just get back to camp" she growled racing passed the other two.

Briana held Arvids axe tightly, "the king has probably heard word already" she shivered, the adrenaline had kept her warm, but now that they had gotten free the cold had started to set in, her panicking wasn't helping, her lips were purple from her lack of clothing; the dress she wore had been ripped and charred from escaping the burning mess for her house.

Argeus could hear her shivering and kept going, thinking on what to do. He knows that the old man who gave up his face would give her his robes but doing so would reveal his leather armor, weapons, and toxins he kept on his person. So Argeus continued on for a moment before sighing and stopping, " Briana I'm sorry to say I've been lying to you." Argeus said before turning to her and taking off the face of 'Argeus' revealing a different face underneath.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_07/Dorian-new2.png.f1c10c9587bb76ac3b945895f99ec586.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="139654" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_07/Dorian-new2.png.f1c10c9587bb76ac3b945895f99ec586.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

"aos sí.." she stuttered taking a step back from the man who had literally changed his face, her eyes scanning the younger man's face, "I let some... supernatural thing into my home..." she spoke with herself, wondering what would have happened if they hadn't been interrupted by the invasion. She held the axe up, "what do you want with me.. are you going to take me away to the fey..." she spoke nonsense, but it had taken her by surprise.

(Argeus will henceforth be known as No One)

No one threw aside the stick and said calmly, " What I want is to keep you safe and I can't do that acting like an old man any longer. When you feed me you saved my life, stealing a death from the faceless God. A debt is owed so name some one. Anyone in the world you wish to die." No one said as he removed the cloak he had used for his Argeus disguise and threw it at her.

Arvid practically jumped out of his skin at the voice that sounded from the shadows. Though, he recognized it in a few seconds. "Chochobaar?!" He gaped. Arvid thought that this man had left his presence years ago. "Heh...about that...This raid hasn't gone quite as planned, you see." Arvid shook his head. This was no time to galavant and make merry. They had to make it back to the camp. "Just...follow me, okay?" He hissed, dashing ahead, blood still trickling from his wound that stung like fire. Once they reached the camp, Arvid couldn't help but to let a groan of Anguish escape his lips. His men, jarred from sleep and drunk stumbled about being slaughtered by the Irish like blind geese.

Briana stared at the man, he spoke of a debt, "uhh..." she thought for a moment, "I simply fed you bread" she still stared at the man like he was possessed, "nor do I wish a death on anyone" she took another step back, she would have said her husbands name within seconds, but he was dead thanks to Arvid. Briana thought for a moment, the man being better protection than his original state, human or not he was willing to help her. "Just get me to the king..." she spoke cautiously.

@SleepyBuddha

"That bread was the first thing I had Waterford the better part of a week. If you want to see the King the let's go. I will make sure you reach your destination. Then the debt will be paid." No one said before turning and resuming down the path he had found through the woods. As he lead Briana through the woods he saw a fire and walked to it hoping it was the soldier's camp

(Gimme the kiwi.)

Sadime and her men was slowly closing in on the vikings, they were either drunk or passed out, leaving them open for attack. Sadime charged through the camp, a sword and shield her hands, her red hair flying past her face, as her helmet had been knocked off her earlier. Many vikings we're being slaughtered, if nothing could help them, they would perish. The adrenaline pumped through Sadime, and she looked like a monster, charging through and killing multiple vikings.

-------------

Serana finally made it to the vikings ships. She stopped, catching her breath. The adrenaline finally fading away. She walked along the beach, looking for a small ship. She didn't know where she would go, but it certainly wasn't going to be here.

From the forest, men and woman began to attack with bows and arrow, staying there. Their positioning, unknown, since their camouflage kept them hidden. Their aim was precise, only hitting vikings or missing and hitting the tents or ground. Some soldiers were in the camp, hiding in the dark areas or in some of the tents, ambushing vikings that came their way.
