Whatcha need 'em for? If you're ready to post, they generally tell people to either;

• Start off from the ship and dropping, of course this is set back an hour+ from where we currently are, and must mesh with the rest of the story they set up.
  
• Start off on the ground, after the drop. You'd have more freedom but certain events or actions that carry across the city, such as communications we all had near the start, must probably be worked around as the time for replying would of long passed.
  

 
Or wait for them to be sure you do things correctly, I may have given you inaccurate advice (By accident,) and mess things up. . .It's a Joisey thing.

My Imperial was so ingrained in the story, and I loved it! until all my companions were killed including Meeko :/

To address your question:


Agent California is incapacitated (some stress related black-out or something), with Alaska and Vermont is somewhere near them. That's group numero uno.


Group numero dos is as follows: Oregon, Wisconsin, Ohio, Mich, and Oklahoma along with his undeniable charm, are all in a group near Oregon's pod. Jersey is semi-in the group, as in he is "overwatching without the others knowing he is over OR watching".


Delaware and Nebraska are both in a building, Delaware is, in Daimao's words, Delawaring. Sniping Brutes and what not, and Nebraska is with him (totes shipping them lel).


Anyways, the only other one is Utah. Utah is trapped under a bunch of rubble, from what I understand.


Anyways, both group one and two both have groups of Brute/Grunts with Plasma Rifles (Trust me, they're Plasma Rifles.) coming in on them. Delaware is sniping the Covvies attacking Group one.
