Caspian is a pirate, what more needs to be said? Well, okay, he’s not… he’s not the most terrifying pirate you’ll ever encounter – actually, he’s rather tame in comparison to others but do not take his easy-going smiles and jokes lightly, he can still be a cut-throat murderer if he has to. Honestly, his personality is quite difficult to pin down as it is constantly fluctuating, never conforming to a set mould; it will change to suit the situation, making him a loose cannon. Where his loyalties lie is murky at best because everything that he does is for his own self-interest – he will always put himself first before anyone else. However, one thing that does make Cas different to other pirates is that he still has shreds of his humanity intact, he is not blind and deaf to the pain and suffering that the ‘Mad Raiders’ have caused for many people. Perhaps it’s his humanity that will help him to reform…?
Biography: Caspian is not from Auran but in fact an ex-citizen of a far-off country called Esnaria. From what little he can remember, Esnaria was not a prosperous place; not like Auran is. Death and disease were at every corner, crime run rampant with human smuggling being a popular choice – it’s no wonder that the country became known as ‘The Devil’s Land’ with no sane man or woman ever wanting to set foot near the place. For a majority of his life there, Caspian was viewed as profit, having been snatched away from his birth parents when he was just a toddler. When he was eight years old, the Mad Raiders came to visit, and Cas was bought and traded for along with five other children. However, it was his rebellious and spitfire attitude that caught the attention of Captain Falco… who actually ended up recruiting him, marking the start of his beginning as a Mad Raider. Caspian quickly befriended the ship’s cook, Jacques, who took it upon himself to name him ‘Caspian J. Bellamy’ in memory of an old friend of his after he heard that the young boy didn’t know his name. Over time, Cas did manage to garner some respect from his fellow crewmates, leading to him being given an important task to do from the Captain. Rumours of the prophecy spread quickly on the Black Market, and Captain Falco saw this as an opportunity. Whilst Caspian thinks that he’s just kidnapping one of the ‘Heroes’ to hold for ransom, the Captain has other plans…
