Realistic or Modern Foster Life

Cavalier was still asleep, rolling around in bed. As the sun started to shine through the cracks in his blinds, he looked up at the window. He sat up in bed, sighing. He wasnt ready to get up yet, so he decided to sit there for awhile, looking around.

"Hiiii..." He replies in a somewhat playful manner. He walks in and sits down on the bed beside her, smiling. "Did you sleep good?" He asks her.

Olivia smiled and opened her arms wide for the child. "If you'd like, you can hop up on my shoulders and we can play planes while heading to meet the others. Then we can both meet everyone! But to play planes, when you hop up you have to spread your arms out wide and I'll start running."

 

[Aryn Harris]

Amanda shakes her head. "Nope. The baby kept kicking, so I kept waking up." She murmurs, wrapping an arm around him.

Rex laughs says ok thegoes and gets on and opens his arms wide "vroom vroom vroom" he laughs hystercialy.

He leans up against her and hugs her in response, the side of his head rested lightly stop her stomach. He listens for any kicks and maintains a peaceful smile. ".. Does it always make you wake up?" He asks.

"Vroom! " She called, as she playfully jogged around the home. For a minute she thought she wouldn't find anyone, then she approached a young boy with his head stuck in a door, and before she knew it he had walked in "Hello!" She called. "I'm the new nanny and I'm trying to figure out who everyone is. Might I know your names?" She smiled to both the girl and other boy. "This guy up here is Rex! Say hello Rex"

Amanda shakes her head. "No, not all the time." She replies, smiling as she watches him. She really enjoyed how close they had gotten since he got here.

Hello Rex shouts as he is excited "vroom" he kept repeating over and over again.

Jackson felt the same way. He'd gotten somewhat close to most other members of the household by far. ".. That's good... You gotta' have sleep." He says thoughtfully.

Amanda chuckles and nods her head. "I agree." She smiles and rubs her stomach. She jumos slightly at the voice and lets out a breath. "I'm Amanda." She murmurs, feeling her baby begin to move around again.

Jackson would look away from Amanda for a moment and then up to the new nanny with a shy smile. He'd previously met Rex over the week but had not had much interaction. "Hi." He greets her. "I'm Jackson."

"Jackson and Amanda. What a pleasure to meet you both. I'll be working here and I'm super excited, especially to get to know all you kids." She let out a light laugh then noticing Amanda's stomach her happiness seemed to fall. She was reminded of her last doctor appointment where they told her she'd never bare children, after an accident that had happened. "Do you know the gender?" She called out. "Of the baby?"

Jackson would look back up at Amanda after Olivia's question, smiling still. He'd release her from his hug and move back into a sitting position. He lifts his legs up and crosses them on the bed.

Rex saw miss Olivia go from happy to sad so he leaned over to where his head was upside down in her face. You ok miss Olivia you look sad. His face showed a concerned expression.

Jackson tilts his head in curiosity when he also notices her sadness.

Amanda shakes her head slowly. "No. I have an appointment tomorrow to find out though." She murmurs, also noticing her sadness.

"How wonderful!" She called. "Hope its a girl, seems like we could use some." She laughed then turned her attention back to the boy who was now tilted over her head, "Come on, Rex. Vroom!" She back out of the doorway and began racing around again. Laughing she soon found herself on the couch where she sat the young boy down by her and smiled.

The talk of her finding out excites Jackson even further. He sits there in silence while he ponders to himself about different types of names they could discuss as well as other exciting stuff. He grins to himself while staring blankly down at his lap, still buried in thought. 
As she leaves the room Jackson turns to Amanda. "Why did she look sad?" He asked out of concern.

Rex forgot the fact of she was sad and looked at her and just laughed and said "your fun miss Olivia".

Amanda watches her leave and shrugs her shoulders. "No idea buddy." She lays back down, watching Jackson. "Wanna take a quick nap with me?" She asks, obviously still tired.

Cavalier finally got himself up oit of the bed. He put himself on a simple t shirt and basketball shorts, and a pair of his slides. He heard people already awake in the room next door, so he figured it was his turn. He came out of the room, looking next door seeing Amanda and Jackson in the room. He kept walking and made his way outside, sitting in the grass. He liked the way it felt, and he liked the peace and quiet of the morning time.

"I try to be. And you're a great kid." She reached out and ruffled his hair. A quiet yawn escaped her lips.

He smiles and nods. "Sure!" He replies as he shuffles himself into the bed beside her, curling up in a ball and smiling across at her. "Your bed's comfy."
