The Summary of the RP
Yggdrasil houses the founding base of the Gaze Guild, a civilian force dedicated to training volunteers to slay monsters and assist to keep their cities safer. Gazers serve only to keep their own cities, friends, and family safe to the very best of their abilities. This force may be called to help merchants get from one town to another or a farmer on the outskirts who needs to get rid of a couple of monster pests. The Guild is full of people just wanting to do their part. Nowadays several branches have started to pave their own corners in other nations, whether welcome or not.
You are part of this force.
➢ The magic-infused modernized fantasy world has monsters running rampant. This threat has grown to the point that traveling outside of a city’s walls is dangerous without protection or knowing how to fight for yourselves.
➢ Your characters will find themselves situated on a continent with several nations— only one is a true neutral nation, Yggdrasil, the melting pot of knowledge and races.
➢ This roleplay focuses on the Gazer’s efforts to eliminate the monster threat at their front door.
➢ Your characters are allowed to have deep ties to other nations. Perhaps they were the child of an official or royal sent to Yggdrasil for their own protection. Perhaps they had family left behind as they went out in search of knowledge and training. Some may have been born here and dream of traveling. Either way, some reason keeps you with the politically unaligned Gaze Guild, and somehow or another it will lead you deeper into the chaos than you may have ever imagined.
➢ Your characters will all be graduating from the same class in the Guild— Class 34.
➢ There will be two different types of Chapters as the story progresses. Mission Chapters are where the characters are called upon to assist with a monster mishap!
➢ Downtime Chapters will be when characters can go off and do their own things, whether that’s meet up with some of the others, take care of business, go on a date, etc. The GMs will assist in setting some scenes to choose from as well. These downtime chapters will allow the GMs to develop the Mission Chapters depending on how the previous one went. Downtime Chapters will take about 4-6 weeks depending on player speed and activity.
