Forest Frost

"I work at Barnes & Noble, selling people books that aren't written by me. Although I'm hoping I'll get the job I applied for a few weeks ago at a small publishing company near my home town in Rochester. Well, and I'd like to be a writer, but that's a long term goal," I told him.

"That sounds like a pretty awesome cool goal! What types of books do you want to write? Sci fi? Romance?" He put your arm on the back of the couch, "I love reading." He nodded toward a bookshelf filled with mostly science fiction books.

"I tried Sci-fi, but my first try had to do with time travel, and I figured out quickly that you have to really know your stuff to write that. Right now I'm working on a story about this guy and his best friend, a girl named Jules, who go out and try to find his real father after finding out he was basicly adopted. I plan on them falling in love at some point in the journey to search him out. That sounds silly doesn't it?" I smiled a bit. I'd never told anyone about one of my stories before.

"It's an interesting concept." James smiled to her, "I'll give you my number later, that way you can send me a copy." James smiled to her, "plus I think you should make his name James, not that I'm biased or anything toward that name."

"Yeah, there's no bias there at all," I grinned, "but I already named him. His name is Kirito Yoshihiro, he's Japanese-American. I'm kind of into Anime and Manga. Do you know anything about that stuff?"

"I think I'm going to log off for about half an hour. I should be back then.

"Uhhh no, I've never really gotten into that kind of stuff... Except for like Dragon Ball Z, if that counts." He scratched his jaw, "have any you'd recommend? I'll need some stuff to watch."

"Yes, actualy Dragon Ball Z does count. And the only ones I really watch are 'Say, "I Love You"', 'Blue Exorcist', 'Sword Art Online'. I mostly read manga, like 'Rurouni Kenshin', 'Bleach' and 'D-Gray Man."

I turned toward him on the couch, pulling my legs up. "So, what do you do? Besides watching Aliens? What's your occupation?"

James nodded and smiled a little. He thought it was kinda cute how enthused she was about the anime and Manga. "Uh I watch mostly everything besides horror movies. I dont like to watch them." he shrugged, "And Im going to school to be a doctor... both my parents were doctors so I guess Im just following the family tradition." He scratched his head, "Though, if I did wha I really wanted to do? I'd be a history teacher." he smiled at the thought.

"Really? Then why are you going to medical school?" I asked quizically. "You should do what you want to do, not what other people want you to do." I rubbed Jane's head and back softly.

James looked at her, "The money is nice. I want to provide for my family when the time comes... I mean, medicine isn't bad... I wouldn't hate being a doctor, but... I dunno, its silly. I just like history, I'd probably hate being a teacher." He yawned a little. covering his mouth, "Who knows Liza? Maybe I'd love it." He shrugged again, his face looked a little sad at the thought of being a doctor

Jane pushed her head into Liza's hand as received pets behind her ears. So far New Jessica was so much better than Old Jessica. Except James did not call this New one Jessica Liza. Maybe that was her name. Liza. Its a much better name. Liza. Liza. Pizza. Pizzza. Jane stood and jumped off the couch walking toward her food dish.

"Well, you never know until you try," I said and smiled as I stood up. "I think I'm warm enough to take a shower. I'll be back in a while. Which door is it upstairs?"

"The one on the left." His room was pretty well kept, since he hadn't really been in there yet. His bags were sitting on his bed. "Oh, just one thing, You have to turn the thing to the left for hot water, even though it says cold. I dont know how it became backwards, but it is." he shrugged and smiled to her.

"Okay," I returned, and headed for the stairs. I opened the left door and entered the bedroom. There were unopened suitcases on the bed, and the room looked like it hadn't been touched. He must have just gotten here. A door to the right was open leading into the bathroom. It was all white except for black accents like the towels and floor mats. I folded the Cowboys blanket and set it on the toilet seat. Turned the water on, keeping it to the warm side so my body wouldn't get a shock, and stepped in. It felt so good. I'd never loved a shower more in my life, I just stood under the water, letting it fall over me.

James waited patiently for Liza to come back down, tossing a pink tennis ball for Jane around the cabin. He started to cook himself some soup. He wasn't sure if Liza would want any, but he had extra set out in case she did. He looked out the window again and frowned a little. The snow as still falling pretty steadily. He hoped it would stop soon otherwise the trip back to town would take a little long than he'd like.

I didn't want to, but I turned the water off and stepped out. I dried myself with one of the fluffy black towels. Then I remembered my clothes were wet and otherwise downstairs, and I hadn't asked James for anything to wear, either. Crap... I walked out of the room to the railing hanging over the living room.

"Hey, James?" I called. "Um...do you have something I can wear until my clothes dry?"

(I'll be back in 1/2 an hour or so, okay?♥)

James was stirring up the soup, and thought for a moment. "Uhhh in my black suit case, I should have some sweats you can put on... There are also pajama bottoms if you wanna throw those on and a shirt you find that looks comfy. Unfortunately I don't wear women's underwear so I don't have any lace panties for you to wear."

(Alrighty :D )

"Good. Because if you did, that would be awkward," I called back and went back into his room. I pulled the pajama bottoms from the case and a black hoodie a few sizes too big for me.

I walked down the stairs and didn't find James in the livingroom. But I heard metal klinking in the kitchen, so I headed in there.

James looked over his shoulder and smiled, "So thats what you look like when you're not half frozen." He grinned, "Not bat.. want some soup?" James looked back at the pot and continued to stir.

I blushed a little. "Yeah, please." I pulled out a chair at the table and sat down.

(Hey, if it takes me four or five minutes to answer after you do, I'm streaming anime in between posts, okay♥)

"Okay!" James made two bowls and pulled out some crackers and set her the second bowl next to her and sat across from her, jane sat next to her. James looked at jane and frowned.

"Awe, look at that face, Jane," I said smiling. "Go sit with your owner, he's missing you." I took some of the crackers and broke them between my hands, dropping them into my bowl.

James ate his soup quietly, and Jane walked around the table looking for food to drop. "So what.. Uh... How goes... I've got nothing..." He scratched his jaw .

"So...um, you live in Texas, huh? Do you like it there? Do you come up here a lot?" I asked.
