Deep Elves are good at casting, so they can do anything magic related. Felids, Tengus and sorta Centaurs make interesting summoners because they can run away faster than most threats. Mummies and Vampires don't need food so they can channel magic and keep summoning without needing to stop and eat, and Nagas, while slower, have more health so they can take a hit better without armor.


There's nothing stopping an Ant-dude (Formicid) from picking up magic either, but heavy armor makes casting much harder.


Anyway, Ant-Dude died. I had one of the best weapons you can find, but no extra damage modifiers, so I just couldn't kill things fast enough to clear Vault:5. In hindsight, I didn't even need to go into that death trap yet anyway.

Waaaah. He did? Oh no That's kinda sad. . . omg, it reminds me when my favorite character dies in a book, LIKE HOW CAN YOU JUST KILL THEM OFF AS IF THEYRE NOTHING

That's roguelikes for you. You can't get attached to your characters, even if you spend an entire morning on them... They're going to die, and if they're wearing heavy armor, they're going to die slowly. And you know when it's too late to save them. You know when there's nothing left you can do. So you let them go. (:'()

NO NEVER, I worked too hard on them to die so quickly! THEYRE GOING TO LIVE SOME WAY OR ANOTHER. This is unacceptable! I REFUSE

So, I made a mummy that used "Summon Demons" which is a Tier 5 summon spell on the way up to the Tier 9 "Call Dragons."


It has a very low chance to summon a demon not-friendly to you. The strongest demon is a fire-based demon. Mummies are weak to fire. Guesses as to how I died this time?

Here's something I've been working on. I hate the recording, since the background noise levels change for parts and there's too much string noise because I'm bad at guitar and my voice isn't soothing enough and *grumble grumble grumble*


I'm looking forward to writing a funeral march for Lavitz in a little while.

Sorry about the late post. My rabbit was getting jealous over my laptop while I was writing it up. When Gambit, my rabbit, doesn't get the attention he wants he'll start chewing on things he knows he shouldn't. Along with acting adorable by wanting to be petted. That and he'll on my bed and then hop on top on my keyboard =_=

I just beat the game I kept dying in, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. And not a 3 run Minotaur Berserker win, that I did 3 years ago, but a real 15 rune win. With an Ogre. Smashing everything to bits with my +9 Giant Spiked Club of Holy Wrath in the eye of a hurricane. Honestly, I should've died, but the great lord RNGesus was merciful, and rewarded my efforts with an ascension. Praise be, praise be.
