Name: Izabelle Wolfe

Age:17

Gender:Female

Personality: Izabelle is every bit the curiosity of her mother, and the strong willed of her father. She does not meet normal "princess"((or whatever she is)) expectations. She has no interest in balls or princes, and only wants to wonder. The kingdom refers her kindly as, "The Wanderlust One". She quickly comes up with ways to sneak past her parent's rules, and is usually chided for it. Though not harshly, the Queen refuses to yell at her children. She is always known to be asking, "What if..."

History: Izabelle grew up in the castle, always pulling her brother to one adventure or another. She was frequently found in the kitchen or maids quarters, only because she wanted to help and know how things worked. When her father gave her the rule of "no sword", she stuck to her personalty and taught herself how to use a bow. She is very skilled with it, and makes it seem effortless.

Other: She has many nicknames, along with "Robin Hood" from her father, she hates it and only allows it to come from him.
Izabelle-

I tip toed along the rafters, not an easy task in full skirts. But there was the one huge stained glass window, and I wanted to see the outside from it. It just had to be magical looking! I looked down to see Favian and father holding some sort of meeting, unaware I was even there. Only two more steps, and I'd be there, "Come on, Reven!" I whispered to my brother, trailing behind me

Reven-

I followed silently behind Izabelle, making a face at her when she whispered at me and gesturing for her to stay quiet because Dad and Uncle Favian were right there below us. Still, her footsteps didnt make a sound, and mine generally never did, so no one looked up. I caught up to her when she reached the cross beam that touched the window, putting a hand on her shoulder as I stepped aside to be next to her. "The sun is behind us, so we should be able to see out." If it had been in front, we probably would've been blinded.

Izabelle-

I bounced a bit with excitement. Any second now, the sun would stream through the other window, sending beams out to the country side with this one. And this time, our shadows would dance with those beams. One more mome-

"Merrick, how blind are you?"

Uh oh, that was Mother's voice...

He turned to look at her, and she pointed up at us. I grinned sheepishly, "Hello" I waved.

Reven-

I tried to stop Izabelle from jumping about so, but went tense and still when I heard Mother's voice from below. Uncle Favian laughed quietly as we turned around to look down, and clasped Father on the shoulder. "I knew they were there when we walked in, Merrick. You're just in denial."

Father was frowning and sighed. "Honestly. Am I the only one that hasn't lost hope they'll stop climbing the rafters?"

I glanced at Izabella and gave her a little gesture of the hand as I started to make my way slowly back to where I could get down. If I stalled long enough, she could still see the lights, and she could tell me about it later.

Izabelle-

I laughed at Dad, and kept my eyes behind me. Soon, the light came from the window, and colors swept around the room. I gazed in awe as the streamed through the window, lighting up the country side. Once I was back down, Mother frowned, "Why were you up there?"

"To see the window! And the lights! And oh, Mother, you would have loved it!"

((SOrry, Mom's wanting me to drive some more, and I doubt it will go well with her. She refuses to tae no for an answer))

Reven-

I swung down to the ground just as the lights came through the window, and got to look up and see Izabelle's happy expression before Father dragged me over to Mother by my ear. I winced and stumbled to keep up but didnt protest, just rubbing at it once we'd stopped walking and shifting a little closer to Mother than to Father. Father didnt really swat us, as Mother disapproved, but he was still much scarier most times.

"We wanted to see the lights up close," I said sheepishly, scuffing a foot along the floor. "Up where they begin, not down below where they're faded." I hadnt been able to see them like that, but it was okay, as long as my sister had. She'd been the first to want it, after all, and was usually the start to our adventures, but I always went along.

((Lol you still don't drive?))

((Nope. Working on it though. Anxiety and driving aren't a good mix))

Izabelle-

Mother turned to Father, "Like one princess would sit on her windowsill to watch the stars," she said, a knowing smile on her face.

"Can I-"

"No" she said quickly. Darn. I think it would be neat to see the stars like that.

I crossed my arms, pouting at Father, "You never let us do anything!" I said, before walking away

((Yeah, it's pretty nerve wracking at first, but after a while you get used to it. Now I only have to worry about getting lost when going to unfamiliar places -_- ))

Reven-

I glanced at Father to gauge his reaction, then just took the moment of shock and distraction to run after Izabelle. I caught up with her outside and just fell into step next to her, nudging gently at her side. "At least you got to see the lights, right?" Mother and Father were just very protective, that was all, and it got stifling. ". . . It's still only morning. We can go to the woods later." We'd made an art out of sneaking pas the guards and getting out the walls through a small hole in the fences only we knew about. It wasnt even a challenge anymore,

((I'm fine when it's with my Uncle, I can almost breath. But my mom....))

Izabelle-

"Fine" I said, "As long as I can get out of these Heaven awful skirts". I was more like Father in some ways, I spoke my mind, and I didn't want to be dolled up. Trousers were a beaut. After changing and grabbing my bow, I met up again with Reven, "You want to decide where to go today?"

((Yeah, my dad was always all calm and relaxing, but my mom kinda made me wig out more. She would get all high strung and then I would panic and ugh))

Reven-

I shrugged a little, strapping my sword across my back, and pulling on a pair of training gloves so I could protect my palms and still use my fingers. "Let's go to the Big Edge." I said, nodding slightly. It was a long, tall ridge of rock and dirt that we'd never really managed to get up and over before. It was fun exploring there, and there were always good berries to eat along the way. "Ready to go?"

Izabelle-

"Sure!" I grinned. We quickly were past the guards and out. I took a deep breath. Yes, this was it. I wasn't meant to be stuck in a drafty castle. I wanted dirt under my feet and leaves whispering in my ears. As we neared the ridge, there was a twinkling sound, almost like the wind chimes Mother keeps.

"Did you hear that?"

Reven

I stopped and went still, even going so far as to hold my breath for a long moment while I listened to the area around us. ". . . I hear it." I said, quietly, and waved her forward. "Let's go." I took the lead, though, because I was still her brother and had to protect her, and because it was better to use a sword first while she hung back and shot at a longer range with her bow. It just worked better that way. But what was that sound? It was . . . It was almost like bells, but very, very quiet, and without any sort of tune.

((Which do you prefer, the pic I have up of Fenris, or this one? (minus wings, of course) I kinda like the long hair, but I can go either way. Why do I feel like the little tinkling sound would just be him walking around? xD He sounds like a wind chime when he walks lol Maybe there's little tiny bells or charms on his clothes))

((Cause that would be awesome xD And I like them both, I agree with the long hair. Just merge 'em in your brain))

Izabelle-

I bit my lip to keep from asking the million questions I wanted to. The sound was so very pretty, I just had to know where it came from! As we reached the top, the sound stopped suddenly, almost as if it had heard us. I peeked over, and gasped, was that...?

((I'll just go with the dark one lol Since I like black hair, and since the little symbol on his cheek is mysterious))

Reven-

We reached the top of the Edge without much difficulty, but given that we now had some motivation to see what was over it, it wasn't very surprising. There was . . . a boy, I supposed, though something was strange about him, standing not too far away in the trees atop the Edge. His hair was long and dark, tied strangely, and his clothes were just as strange. There were tiny little pieces of metal - bells? pieces like Mother's wind chimes? - on his clothes and at the ends of his hair and dangling from his ears. They didn't make a sound in the breeze, only when he moved. I signaled for Izabelle stay where she was for a moment as I went up first, and I didn't see the points at the top of his ears until it was too late.

When he spun to face me, his eyes were wide and something strange happened with his hand, almost like he'd been holding a light, and the leaves kicked up around him for just a split second before it felt like someone had kicked me in the chest and I was flung bodily backwards. Miraculously, somehow, I hit the ground at the bottom of the Edge and only tumbled a few times before coming to rest flat on my back, the wind knocked from my lungs but nothing broken. It was fall, though, and so maybe the leaves had cushioned my fall, and as I struggled for breath I realized that the boy had just . . . disappeared. I'd seen it, even as I was flung backwards.

I rolled onto a side and coughed into the dirt, trying to remember how to breathe again, but I was just grateful Izabelle was still hanging on and hadn't been tossed like I had. Father would be even angrier than he already would be if he saw bruises on her instead of me.

((So Mom must be up to something. "You wanna just hang out there for a bit?" So now I'm just here. But clean and not in PJs.))

Izabelle-

When the boy had somehow thrown Reven, I shot an arrow, but now, it was only quivering in it's post- a tree. I rarely miss, and the boy had been there. But there was no bleeding attacker. Only my arrow, with a gray piece of cloth. I slid down the Edge, and ran past Reven, knowing he was fine. I grabbed the cloth, and it seemed to shimmer in the sunlight. I turned it in different ways, and rainbows shot off of it.

((Hang out where?))

Reven

I didn't bother getting up while I was still coughing a little, just laid there sort of miserably and tilted my head back enough to see what Izabelle was doing. "What - What is it?" I croaked, taking deep breaths as carefully as I could to recover faster. It was shimmery and it seemed like colors were bouncing off of it, like the windows, but it was just a piece of fabric.

((The house I'm sitting))

Izabelle-

I bit my lip as I studied it ((I tend to do that a lot, and I'm doing it now T.T)). "I'm not really sure..." The fabric even seemed to... smell different. Almost like a vanilla. Everything compared to it seemed dull, even when I compared it to my traveling crown Mother insisted I always wear. It was a simple braided design, but the kingdom wanted it to sparkle. It was dull compared to this fabric, almost worn looking. I walked over to Reven and picked up his sword, ignoring any protest he might make. Holding it against the blade, it wouldn't cut.

((Ooooh))

Reven

I whined in protest when she took my sword from me, even though it was just her. I didn't really like people touching my sword - Father had given it to me years ago, and it had been specially made for me, had waited for me until I grew enough to be able to use it properly and could get rid of the smaller children's swords. "It's not working, is it?" That wasn't right. My sword was made of the finest materials in the land, and kept well sharpened and shined. It could cut through most anything.

Izabelle-

I frowned deeply, testing my finger tip on the point. I flinched a bit when it cut through, and stuck my finger in my mouth to stop the bleeding. It was only a nic, but those hurt. "You're sword is fine... But this cloth..."

Reven

I struggled up into a sit, finally, and held out a hand for it. "Let me see." She gave it to me, a bit reluctantly I thought, and I pulled on it a bit. It stretched slightly, but didn't seem as if it would tear easily, and felt strong in a way I didn't quite understand because it was still soft. "How . . . Your arrow caught this? What if it doesn't cut for blades? Only if you pull?" Could something like that even be made?

Izabelle-

As Reven held it, I looked at it closer, "Maybe..." Part of me wanted to ask Father, or Favian. But if they knew we'd seen this, we'd be confined to our rooms. "How could we ask about this, without asking about it? I'm sure Favian knows something..."

Reven

I nodded slowly, considering, and gave her back the fabric in exchange for my sword. "Maybe we can ask about different armors? Lightweight armors, like chain mail, but lighter. Maybe he'll tell us something about it." And if we were asking Favian, he would tell both of us. He didn't have the same reservations about Izabelle asking a warrior's questions like Mother and Father did.

Izabelle-

When we returned to the castle, the cloth hidden safely in my boot, we went straight to Favian. "Uncle Favian!" I called, entering his room, "I wanted to-"

He suddenly slammed a book shut when he saw me, and the golen light that I had figured was sunlight vanished ((magic book Azyala opened blah blah blah)). Before I could ask, the book was gone, and he composed himself.

Reven

I flinched when the light was suddenly gone, the room still lit but dimmer, and blinked as I looked around. There were no other light sources, and he was being suspicious again. He was like that, sometimes, and always with that book, the one with strange letters I couldn't read on the front, and he never let us see it for more than a few seconds. It was always hidden away somewhere we'd never found, and we knew this castle from top to bottom, every nook and cranny it had.

I shook my head a little to clear it, pushing back suspicion before Favian would never actually tell us anything about it - he was good at not saying the things he didn't want us to hear. "Uncle Favian, we wanted to ask you a question about -"

"About the dirt all over your clothes?" He interrupted, smiling a little as usual but with an eyebrow raised at us. "What did you do? Roll in the flower beds?" . . . Right. I should've probably cleaned up first.
