Im pretty sure the slaughter of Innocent townsfolk can't be called self defense

It was self defense, if they didnt kill those villagers they would have taken up arms eventually, twas a preemptive strike

Hensforth not self defense, selfsdefense only counts if they attacked you first, preenptive strikes cant be counted as self defense because they never attacked yet therefore don't have the proof the villagers would have ever attacked. Now if the villagers had already attecked them once before then selfdefense would be what it was
