Talia laughed triumphantly and looked back to Susan. “There! We’re gonna go watch it, and I’m gonna be all smug while you eat your words.”
Susan merely glared at Talia for her triumphant attitude, not saying a word.
He goes and gets the note that was left on the floor, and writes on the back of it.

I’ll show you the video if both of you agree to not completely disregard my writings.

He grips the note hard, his eye flickering to red for a split second as he shows the two women.
Susan nods. "We will not disregard your writings. Though I have no excuse, I was merely too angry to take account of your previous writing." Susan said to Lux.

Talia nodded, and shot Lux a slight apologetic glance. “Yeah, sorry. For hitting it and stuff.” Talia was bad at apology’s, but she tried.

His posture relaxes a little, and he continues writing.

Very well. Give me 2 minutes to pull up the video.

He says, and shows them the pad. Once they read it, he gestures for them to follow him to his quarters.

He undid the many locks on his door when they got there, and Susan saw for the first time his very minimal room. A small bed and closet with a mound of random parts. A desk with a desktop computer that he built that has the processing power of a small starship. On the desk was also his not-copyright headset that he built.

Talia followed, and had her head held high. She knew she was right, and her confidence showed in her stance.

He turned on his mega-computer and plugged in his headset. He then pulled up the game itself on the headset, and went into its files. He pulled up his character, and went back to the approximate time of when he was with Rewby and Talia. When he found the right time, he ran a visualizer program, and then, on the screen, was from his point of view of Rewby and her kindness.

Susan then watches the recordings of his interactions with Rewby and her compassion with him and Talia, despite being a Krystalline; kindly talking to him, accepting a party invite from him, offering to buy sandwiches, even engaging in conversation with Talia with no signs of aggression. When the clips of his experiences with Rewby begins to end, Susan can only calmly look down in shame.

Talia held back a smug grin, knowing it wouldn’t help to be smug at this point, a gestures a palm calmly towards the screen.

“See?” It was one word, but it had a lot of meaning.

He nodded as well, saving the video just in case, and then turning off the computer.

This would have been solved earlier if you just asked me. Captain, you know I don't lie, right?

He writes, showing Susan his pad, and standing up.

After a short period of time, Susan then says something. "I need a moment for myself." Susan simply said as he begins to walk out of Lux's room, paying no attention to how uncomfortably small it is.

Talia looked from where Susan has just walked out the door, back to Lux.

“I got to angry, didn’t I?” She asked, with some remorse on her face.

Lux watches as she left his room. He didn’t write anything, but wanted to talk to her. He understood why she thought Rewby was like everyone else. Many people, if not most, shared her view on Krystallines.

Then Talia looked at him and spoke to him.

Yes. You did. You need to not press the Captain. Even if she was wrong, that leaves no room for an excuse to do that. But I believe she’ll forgive you in time. I’ll go talk to her in a while.

Talia hummed slightly, and narrowed her eyes. She crossed her arms before her chest and stood straight, trying to shake off the feeling of guilt. She really was getting attached to these people, huh?

“I’m hungry.” She said quietly, before walking off down the hall to the lunch room. She didn’t really bother to see if Lux was following; she was caught up in her thoughts.

Lux looked between where Susan went, and Talia. He decided to go with Talia first, then go find Susan. He quickly catches up to Talia, and walks alongside her, a small rumble in his stomach is suddenly heard by Talia, altering her of his sudden presence.

Talia shoot a glance at Lux and a slight smirk came over her face. “you hungry? Or is it just your bowels coming undone?” She said, making it clear she knew what happened. “You really gotta be more careful; you could die out there.” Though, she knew she wasn’t one to talk. Going into a place where she could easily die.

He grabbed his pad when she spoke to him.

I would have been fine. I'm no stranger to death. Also, it was my abdomen. My bowels were not affected.

He wrote, missing the joke, and answering with a cryptic message only he understands.

Talia gave Lux a strange look when he ‘said’ he wasn’t a stranger to death. He didn’t like talking about his past much, but now....

“Do I want to know, and can I ask?” She said, lacking emotion in her tone. She wouldn’t press if he didn’t want her too, and honestly, she liked it better that way. Meant he wouldn’t press either.

Talia scoffed, and took a deep breath, before looking back at him.

“So cryptic.” She said with a grin, before her face fell slightly. “Lux, what happened to you.” The words sounded a little vague, but still it was clear what she was asking about.

I won't say it all, but let's just say that I was a hired gun for a little while. Lot's of dangerous missions. Not all were assassinations, and one time, I had to legitimately be dead in order to sneak into a base. I restarted my own heart, and then wiped out the base. Turns out they did a couple of surgeries on me while I was dead, and they were about to amputate my arm when my device restarted my heart. That's how I'm no stranger to death. I don't know if you're religious, but if you are, know that there is no afterlife. Just darkness. You'll have to be more specific if you want more answers.

As she read the note, she lifted an eyebrow, before narrowing them again. No afterlife, huh? She didn’t believe that. Though, she wouldn’t voice it, and nothing on her face gave it away. Most Lunarims kept their religion to themselves. No one knew what it was, really.

“Well, I’m glad your not dead.” She said finally, turning to face him slightly, a grin on her face. “I’ve flirted with death before, literally and figuratively, but not like that....” She finished quietly, before handing it back to him. She was impressed that Lux was... well, Lux. He was just, not someone you expected to exist. Like a near perfect protagonist in a story. Besides the whole, cheery attitude thing.

I am glad to not be dead either. And I'll write this, most all of my other scars that I don't want anyone to see are from things in this dimension that no one should ever experience, let alone know about. The final thing I'll say is, I'll permit you to ask one more question, given you answer one of mine.

Lux was dying to know what the Lunarim religion was. It was one of the few things that he has never been able to figure it out, and he hates that.

Talia shrugged, not seeing the harm. She thought for a moment, before her eyes light up with understanding of what she should ask.

“Where did you get that cloak? Cause it’s awesome.” She said, tilting her head to the side.
