Here I was debating about helping Saber or doing some shinanigans but I might be able to do both and if its true that is glorious because I never thought one of them would ever come to be useful. *rubs hands together menacingly* I most consult with the high console to see how it all might work.

Edit: now that I think of it, it does have a racial connotation too, since the literal meaning is that of someone born from a black person and a whitey.

I can read, write and understand Spanish. Speaking is a bit more complicated cause I always end up messing it up and making it Not!Portuguese instead.

Impressive. The only Spanish I know comes from little bits I've learned in highschool, which I've mostly forgotten due to lack of practice.

It does sort of work tbh. Never seem anyone calling anything but a dog a mestizo, but the same is valid for mongrel in English.
