Fat Gandalf's Bar & Lounge (OOC Chat) - Chapter Seven

I hope to have a post out later today. Stay safe and have fun, Gang! =)

Don't know about the rest of you but I can't wait to see how good ol' Mario handles this one. =)

Also... this is probably a good time to share this. D. Rex's Ricky was also going to be a prime target for the Broo ladies because as D. Rex described him, Ricky had no small amount of experience with the other gender. Coosi, especially, was going to come on strong on Ricky because (she feels) they could have made from friendly magic together. However, since D. Rex/Ricky left us, all that fun seems to be falling into Mario's lap! Lucky guy, huh? =)

I am preparing a post now. Trying to avoid offending the Broo and get out of this scene in one piece.

For anyone who read my most-recent post just now, I edited it with an extra line at the end about 1 minute ago. =)

Sherwood Sherwood *Sigh* And I've added to the scene (one more paragraph added at the end) because I read it and to me, the whole scene feels empty without that last bit. I'm not here to confuse anybody (Characters or Players). So I added it. Hope you like it, Gang! =)

Two things. First, did I miss something?
and the ladies thinking he's a pig. Oh, well.
Where did Mario get this impression?

Secondly, I need to know which of the four Broo Mario would like to accept?

My mistake. I'll take that out.

And I'll look back to check out the names of the two that I know and give you a post.

Okay! Because I didn't remember Toph, Elinor, Ylva, or Cera reacting. Only Hitomi being surprised and offering Mario an out if he wanted one) and Shirley (being surprised and wondering what Mario would do). =)

Half the squadron are fighter pilots. Given the, er, reputation of the stereotypical fighter pilot, I doubt many of us will be thinking Mario's a pig just for taking a girl up on her offer, especially since he's being polite about it!

On an unrelated note (yes, Sherwood, that's a pun!)...

For Captain Hesperus Captain Hesperus /Hercules and anyone else that likes pretty harp music.

Hold on tight, Gang. Here comes a three-parter in-game. =)

Captain Hesperus Captain Hesperus Kaerri Kaerri Psychie Psychie Sherwood Sherwood Silanon Silanon
Read in-game first, (enjoy!), then here, please. =)

Since Mario is now happily distracted until the morning, I see an opportunity here. Instead of Sam spilling "his" big secret and Mario being left out of it, I as the GM, can toss in some sudden and very bad weather that makes for traveling to where Sam has you going a bad idea - at least, until morning. This gets us (happy) Mario back and therefore, he's not left out.

But... what do we do in the meantime?

Well, though she hasn't said it, Hitomi wants to have a chat with Hercules and Toph. Toph, last I heard, wanted to chat with Hercules, too. Plus, this would be a fabulous time for all of the Wild Cards who are willing to get their 15 minutes of camera "fame" with Hitomi to send those hopefully-impossible-to-trace videos of your Characters to their families. Mario can get his done after he returns in the morning, then (as I like to say), it's boom-done. =)

Maybe we can also say that the Wild Cards (sans Mario) get their tour of the Broadsword during this time too.

What sounds good to everybody?

Oh, and Mario doesn't get a say - he's having too much fun! Hah! =)

Thoughts: First of all - great posts! Quite an enjoyable way to start the day =)

Concerning your questions: I don't feel the poor-weather-excuse right now. I'm in favor of waiting for Mario, but that one feels a little random. It'd be quite the delay, given that we're only an hour away, and I reckon the Broadsword should have the equipment to notice that kind of weather way in advance. Maybe not, though. Maybe there's a better reason to be found? I mean, the Sam's do have pretty detailed instructions how the reveal has to happen, it seems.

The Hitomi-talk feels like something that should happen. The vids, too, probably. More exploration aboard the Broadsword feels wrong, unless it's something very specific for particular characters. Toph visiting her mom? Sure. Us finding a place that Mario should see as well? Not so much. Even if it makes sense time-wise, I wouldn't want to leave Sherwood out of anything relevant.

Thank you, Sil! Thoughts like yours really brighten my day, too! =)

I'm good with all of these. Though as Sil said, it might be better to hold the tour until Mario can join in -- unless Sheesa wants to give him a personalized one? ^;3^

Just to confirm - the things discussed in the latest post can't be heard by Ylva, right? Just making sure, because she'd have to chime in if she hears anything about that Broo-experiment stuff.

Silanon Silanon The Mess Hall is a busy place right now. I don't have a problem with Ylva having innocently overheard it, nor would she be out of line for expressing herself. Go for it if you want! =)

I'll do that, but Psychie Psychie might want to go first before the conversation takes a turn away from what just happened.

I'd like to hear from both Sherwood Sherwood and Psychie, both of whom tend to post more often. When they go quiet like this, especially after emotional scenes like these, I don't know what to think.

This is the biggest problem I have with Play-by-Post; since we're not all comfortably sitting around a table in a safe and fun atmosphere, I can't read anyone. This is one of my bigger advantages when I play tabletop (I'm good at reading people; even things they don't often see or want to see) and it's totally nullified in Play-by-Post. I have no idea what anyone is thinking or feeling until they post. That's why I've learned, "I can't do anything with silence."

For all I know, it's Real Life that's in the way. Or maybe it's not (especially when I see folks posting in other games, as enjoyable as that is). Either way, I'm stuck like a tank in deep mud until somebody says something. Can't say I like this feeling, but hey - it's one of prices we pay for playing here in RP Nation (one of the others being patience even in normal situations). Oh well! =) If too much time goes by, I keep the game going - any way I can. =)

Psychie Psychie and Sherwood Sherwood

What are your intentions, please? To post or not to post (or tell me in Conversation because I can't do anything with silence and I have no idea what you're thinking).

I am still here, just giving Mario a chance to enjoy himself before posting. Thought that wouldn't be until some time later on, but I can put up a 'after action' post up if you want.

I'm perfectly cool with that.

Like any close team, you guys and gals as PCs seem to want Mario included regardless of what's happening in Sheesa's room (which is totally cool of you!), so I was going to mess with time a bit and say that "some hours passed" without fast-forwarding onto the next day.

I think that'd be the best fix that puts Mario back into the group.

I just can't tell what's going on with Psychie to save my life and thus have no idea how to proceed in that direction. Usually it's a bad thing when Players post in other games and not yours.
