He slows down after a minute and sets the oars down. "Ye see the choppier parts?" He starts pointing out patches of water behind her. "Those are what I was hoping tae avoid. Now it should be nice and calm"

MacToff looks at the beach. "Aye, that we are." He gets out of the rowboat and extends his hand to Hailey

She takes his hand and let’s him help her out of the boat “let’s go find some shade or a cave”

"There's nae a cave on this island. I've looked before" he pulls the boat further ashore to prevent the tide from pulling it out to sea. "There's plenty o' trees though"

“Any without sun reaching through”

"There's quite a few further inland. It's a small island, so it will nae take very long tae get where the sun cannae come through the trees" he starts walking to the treeline
