"Understood." Haruto used his rune to launch him all the way to the Giant's face, where he released an energy slash from the larger blade which he had charged during the flight up. The slash went directly into its eyes, causing enough damage to blind it.


Haruto had to land on another rune to prevent from falling to his death.


"It should be blinded, now do what you need!" He was panting from the amount of mana he poured into the attack, and had to land on the ground again so he could recharge.

"Alright then good luck you too. Let faith be within us all!" Emy pats Leafa on the head, grabbing the reins,"Let's go Leafa!" That's when Leafa started flying,"Hope you're not afraid of heights!"

 

[GirlyTurtle]

Momoka grinned. "As long as I don't fall, I'm fine!" She lifted her vial and yelled, "Duck! Hit the ground!" She threw the vial and as it hit the giant it exploded in a burst of flames. She smiled. "Yes!"

Shado begins a chant, "With the sun and moon, the darkness and light, invoke Cage of Heaven and Hell. PRISON!"


The giant is then caged in silver and golden light. It growls and tries to break the bars.


"I can't hold it for long! Momoka! Haruto! Can you two do a unison raid?" She yells.

Monica finally is woken up by the ruckus and gets up. "What the he-" Monica then noticed Shado's cage and instinctively placed her hands on her sister's shoulders to transfer her mana.

"My mana is still replenishing, but I can do something! Momoka, hand me a mana-replenishing potion!" Haruto yelled as he put Zangetsu away and took out his Katana. "Hopefully, I have enough mana to boost up to her..."


With as much power as he can muster, Haruto launches toward Momoka and summons a rune to float by her.


"Okay, I need a mana potion, now." He said with absolute seriousness. The Rune started faltering, requiring Haruto to manually balance out the rune.

"Woah that is so cool!" Emy giggles, directing Leafa around the giant,"Yeah hold on I'm getting Leafa here to the right spot!" She then does so,"Ok here we go!"

 

[KamiOfSouls]

Monica's mana level rapidly depleted. "Big Sister! Whats going on?!"

 

[GirlyTurtle]

Momoka handed Pyro a mana potion. "Here. Now, what attack are we going for? Fire? Ice? Wind? Earth? Make it quick, we don't have much time. I can bomb it again maybe. I have light magic too."

Haruto chugs the potion, then coats his Katana's blade in flames.


"Fire unison. You bomb it with fire, I'll finish with a fire slash. Got it?" Haruto's rune was much more stable now, and he seemed much more lively.

 

[GirlyTurtle]

Momoka nodded and pulled out another vial filled with a clear liquid. "Got it. Let's go!"

"On three!" Haruto prepared for strike. "One... Two... Now!!"


Haruto prepared for his strike as Momoka rushed in with the bomb.

"Ok!" Emy directs Leafa near the giant again,"Ok here we go!"

 

[GirlyTurtle]

Momoka threw the bottle which broke on impact on the giant. She thrust her hands at it and it erupted in flames. She kept shooting flames out of her hands. "Hurry Haruto! I'm running out of mana!"

Haruto used his floating rune to boost directly at the Giant. Using the last of his mana, he created a giant blade of flames and decapitated the giant with it. Then, he spun around and cut its head in half, using the flames to burn it.


Landing down with a massive thud and on his knee, Haruto panted heavily, sheathed his katana, and stored it.


"Jackpot," Haruto stated as he breathed heavily.

Momoka sighed in relief. She winced a little when her head started throbbing and tried to ignore it. "Whew! That was a workout! Good job guys!"

 

[EmyTheAngelNeko]

"Wooooo WE DID IT!" Emy smiled, directing Leafa to land back with the group. She then gets off,"That was awesome!"

Shado falls to the floor in fatigue. She breathes out heavily, "Why? Does anyone know why there are monsters after us?"

"I... Don't know..." Haruto felt the exhaustion of excessive mana usage kick in, then passed out on the ground once more.


Once again sleeping, his mana began to regenerate quickly at first in order to return to a level stable enough so Haruto could function properly later. Once stabilized, his mana regeneration began to slow down so his body wouldn't overload from mana regeneration. He was sleeping very soundly, and was still breathing heavily. Anyone who saw him now wouldn't think he was a cold, cruel Rune Knight, but more as a comforting brother to a younger sibling of some kind.

Emy just sighed, lying on Leafa's side again. She then fell asleep.

Shado passes out, tired and pained from using a powerful move that she has only successfully pulled off once before, and nearly died from the strain on her body. Her manna was extremely low and she needed to recover. If she were to wake, it would set off another explosion. Her body radiated with golden and silver magic that healed her, the benefits of having healing magic that can blend with her sun and moon magic. Even in sleep, she winces at the pain in her chest of overusing her magic.

Haruto had somehow managed to land by Shado without injuring her, and he unconsciously rolled over next to her and curled up. Some of Haruto's mana regeneration shared with Shado's, boosting her mana regeneration to the point where it had managed to keep itself stable for the healing magic to work effectively.

Shado wakes up, and once again healing her muscles from strain, she begins to climb trees, wanting to be a look out for any other monsters that will hurt her comrades. Hopefully, there were none left in the forest, no one wants to stay here fighting monsters.

Haruto slept peacefully, his mana finally reaching its maximum capacity; this capacity had also increased during the battle, as did his natural durability. When his body felt stable enough to wake him up and allow him to move, Haruto got up; pain arced all throughout.


He did nothing but grit his teeth, go over to Momoka and take one of her vitality potions, and gulped it down. Putting the bottle down gently, he grabbed three more, and walked over to where Shado was. Keeping one more for himself, Haruto handed Shado the other two potions.


"Here, you should drink this. It should help heal faster." He then took a sip of his other potion.

Emy then woke up, yawning,"H-Huh? Is it morning yet?"
