I want the Wen/Zhao Zhuliu and Wen Ruohan backstory. Does anyone know of a fanfic that covers that? A TV movie or spin off comic would be great... but I guess fanfic is my best bet.

Nope. I'll imagine that such a thing would be well hidden if it did exist. But that would be interesting. I do wonder what Wen Rouhan did to earn Wen Zhuliu's respect enough to follow him and enough to tolerate Wen Chao lol. WZ reminds me of Muci from Ashes of Love tbh. Except more intimidating.

Muci had a whole ass redemption arc that Wen Zhuliu never got lol. I would have loved to know how he got those powers, what made him follow WRH, and where he was from. Dude is an enigma.

Sorry for double post but it's a new topic (kind of)
How come when Jiang Cheng hits WWX without his golden core, WWX is like "eh I feel a fly brush its wings against me" but then WWX can punch Jin Zixuan across a room and no one notices anything different?

It was great so I'm much more excited to go back and read MDZS. I hear the characterizations for certain characters are different in the drama from the book so that will be really interesting to see.

I've seen only a few episodes of the donghua. Not because I didn't like it, but because I was reading the book as the episodes came out. I wanted to finish the book before going back and watching it and then I haven't actually gone back to watch it fully. The animation is very pretty so I need to actually sit down and watch it lol

Good to know! Especially since the story gets real heavy and angsty later, a little fluff early on will help with that. I'm also just EYES PEELED for any casting rumors for the drama. Can't wait to see how they even adapt some of that stuff into live action lol.

Yes! I know they've gone into pre production, they made an announcement for that, and I think they should start filming over the summer. So we should be getting casting information soon I hope.
