"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT… UP!" Sophie yelled, spitting all over the podium, "How about instead of fucking attacking someone you come up with a solid defense for yourself other than the person accusing you is an idiot for even THINKING that the one person whose been a fucking jerk this entire FUCKING time could possibly have the been the person to slam someone's fucking head into a fucking coffee machine! The fucking blackboard in the fucking cafe implicates you. Your name was swapped with fucking Menma's!"

Sophie took a moment to breathe, absolutely shaking with the amount of rage that was building inside of her.

"Clementine's… Clementine's given us some food for thought, anyways," Sophie said, calmer now, "I-I shouldn't have yelled like that I'm…"

Sophie exhaled, the stress getting to her. She wants to collapse and die on the spot right there. She doesn't wanna deal with these assholes anymore.

"You attacked me!" Sera shouted back. "And what the fuck is a coffee machine? And why swap my name with Menma anyway? What does that imply?"

Clementine - Trial Stage

Clementine finally looked up. She felt herself shudder. She could see now why some were refusing to believe this was real, for she too was beginning to feel like she had lost her grip on reality. For all she knew, perhaps she really was gone. Maybe she was dying.

But regardless, if even a bit of what the bear said was true, then they could not give up. They absolutely could not. She was absolutely not dying here, no matter what.

"I..."

She shook her head. Her voice was weak. She was finding it hard to keep the same energy she had moment before reality came crashing down around her. She thought about the murder. The partner switching could have been something to throw them off, just like the blood trail. But if so, why not change more names?

Because... "... If multiple names were changed around, it would be far more obvious that things were changed. I think whoever switched the partners around wanted it to go under the radar. And I think for someone to do that, they would have needed to have some kind of awareness of our group. I don't think Trixie changed the names, because who did she hang out with beyond her roommate and the priest? No one."

Groaning slightly, Clementine pressed her hand against her forehead. Her grim hunch from before was coming back to her. "I can confirm that Sera is probably telling the truth. I'm her roommate and I noticed she hasn't looked at her tablet once while I was around."

"Guys... if Trixie attacked first, it fucking sucked. No one else here is wounded, so she wasn't even able to hurt who she attacked. And they were strong enough to retaliate and kill her in one blow. That... narrows it..."

"It's not like I'm stupid or something, Of course, I could figure it out but it's stupid," Sera huffed, crossing her arms and looking away from Clementine.

"I don't…" Sophie exhaled, "Let's start at square one. Two names on the blackboard at the cafe were swapped, yours and Menma's. This left three suspects, you, Menma, and Claude, because I thought that it was a diversion away from the true killer,"

"Initially, I ruled out Menma… no way would she leave such an obvious clue behind, but… now that Clementine made her comments… I'm starting to believe otherwise. She said… that it wasn't meant to be noticed, and Claude was the first to notice so… he's off the table. And… Clementine said that… the killer would have been able to kill Trixie in one blow… and I'm… pretty sure the Ultimate Fighter is stronger than the Ultimate Rogue… so… what I'm saying is… the more I think about it… the less I think you're a suspect, Sera,"

Sophie exhaled, elbows on her podium as she tried to calm down.

Kirei Kotomine

1646946809182.png
Kotomine's eyes widened in surprise, taken aback just as the others around him were once Monokuma made his grand revelations that changed everything. Everything simultaneously made sense, clicked into place, and only raised more questions for the priest. He froze as the trial room opened up into a stadium, and surrounding them all was a wide audience waiting, watching them all like it were a game show, a program in which none of them had to fear for their own safety. A scenario in which their thrills came from seeing others fight for their own lives by the skin of their teeth. It was one thing to initially learn that everyone here were from different worlds of the observable multiverse, but this was almost on a whole other level.

Still, despite everything, the man did his best to hide his surprise, his gaze narrowing just as quickly, hiding a flurry of muted emotions swelling within him, mostly that of spite and amusement, at his own situation, at this sadistic plot he found himself taking part in.

"Hmph... An ingenious twist, I must admit," Kotomine only said to Monokuma, his lips struggling to curl up as though he were attempting to stifle a venomous smile. "I must applaud the sheer audacity of this set-up. All this work and effort for a game..." He mused, furrowing his aged brow. Indeed, the uncontrollable presence within Kotomine's heart could hardly deny that this endeavor was something he could almost find admirable. Almost. Perhaps if he weren't on the receiving end of being observed with exaggerated gasps and bated breath like he were an animal at a zoo.

But of course, this may have been a game, but it was a game where everyone played for keeps, and the spoils were the power of life and death over each other. Thus, perhaps it was only natural as Monokuma followed himself up with the extra caveat; vote incorrectly, and they would all die except for the culprit. Guess correctly, and it would be the killer who would lose their life. It was a cruel twist of fate, a true test of one's own morals.

Kotomine was not so weak hearted as to falter there.

No, this was no time to falter. No time to pause. This was only the beginning. Perhaps in a bizarre way, this was exactly what would drive him to become more aggressive, now that he knew without a doubt that it was his life on the line here.

Slamming his clenched fist into his podium, a loud banging sound ringing out, Kotomine ceased to hold back, and allowed a smile to tug at his lips as he looked toward Cater in particular. "Do not be so naive, young man. One life has already been snuffed out for the entertainment of these cretins, and it was by the hand of someone who believed not only young Trixie's life was forfeit, but all of ours as well. The killer here has broken a sacred commandment, and so, the righteous judgment of God will smite them into the underworld. By believing everyone else's life was forfeit if it meant they could escape, it is their sole life instead that has become forfeit. If you show weakness here, if you deign show mercy toward someone who will not return the favor, you doom not only yourself but the rest of us as well!"

It was, undoubtedly, a difficult moral quandary. Like a trolley problem. Fail to act, and everyone dies. Act, and only one will die. For the righteous, this must certainly have been a debilitating situation. The priest did not have such a weakness.

With that all said, Kotomine returned to the matter at hand, resuming the trial. He personally found Claude's defenses satisfactory for the time being, and as suspicion instead turned toward Sera, the man only let out an amused chuckle toward Sophie. "Yes, child, steel your nerves, lest your outburst do us more harm than good. If nothing else... the girl here is certainly too simple-minded to have carried out the murder," he said, giving a holy gaze down at Sera. "Or rather, that is how she chooses to present herself at least."

He folded his arms behind his back again. "No, we must all reassess our way of thinking. There is a vital piece of the puzzle that you are all missing, and only once you catch up can we begin to see the full picture," Kotomine only said, before his expression hardened, intently eyeing Sophie as he dramatically slammed his clenched fist onto his podium. "But you must wish for it. Not just a wish to see the truth as it is, but wish to live on. Wish to survive, even if it means hurting someone else, even if it means sacrificing another for your own sake! Only then, Ultimate Survivor, will the truth let itself be known to you, and set you free! Are you prepared to live as an adult, or are you content to die like a dog?!"

sinpai.pngWordlessly, Marie continued to cower behind her podium, her wide green eyes frantically observing the massive arena. She could've stayed in this position for eternity, willing it all to go away; for someone to find her and save her from the cacophonous wave of applause. And, surprisingly enough, someone actually did make their way to her, placing a hand gently upon her back and startling her out of her panic. She whirled around to face Cater, a sigh of relief she hadn't realized she'd been holding in escaping her. She wanted to say something, anything to let him know she appreciated him being there, but nothing came out. At least, not until he was on the move again, righting himself and raising his voice in a righteous display of anger directed at their captors. She admired his bravery, looking on in a sort of awe. But... something was wrong.

"...This doesn't feel right."

It was murmured under her breath; undoubtedly inaudible, lost in the deafening droning of cheers and curses alike. Marie could still feel the anxiety tearing through her like a forest fire, but as she stared up at Cater above her, her troubled frown wavered just slightly. Cater was brave. She had seen him cry, not long before this; yet now, here he had been, summoning up a smile despite the sadness she could tell was eating him alive. And now, he went a step beyond even that, forcing himself to raise his voice in protest despite that same sorrow and fear. If a soul so kind and genuine as he could do this, then...

Her frown deepened slightly, her brows furrowing as she willed her body to move, reaching out to her companion in a bout of bravery inspired only by his own. She gently grasped his sleeve, pulling him close to her with a serious look in her eyes. "Cater," she spoke, for only him to hear. "Something is wrong here."

Astonishingly, the girl didn't stop there, her fingers still tucked firmly into the cuff of his sleeve. She slowly rose up from where she'd been crouched, keeping her focus on him to ground her and keep her in the moment. It seemed strange; "Claude, and the Sera and Menma ladies... they haven't been around everyone that much, have they? So if it's like Clementine said..." Then how would they know so much about the group? All three seemed like they'd mostly been loners. It made it seem unlikely any of those three were responsible. But bigger than even that, something else stood out to her. Something that had been said in the last handful of minutes; subtle, but there nevertheless, for anyone who had truly been listening. And it only dug deeper into her skin after she heard another voice ringing out, preaching to the entirety of the room with vigor. Her teeth dug into her cheek for a long few moments as she struggled against the fear and doubt, fishing for the words that needed to be said.

"The clergyman," she eventually managed, locking eyes with Cater. This time, though, her voice wasn't quite as quiet. "What Clementine said... 'If Trixie attacked, it fucking sucked'. You heard that, didn't you?" It was definitely a little surprising, hearing such an innocent girl so unabashedly swear. Still, she continued. "Remember what he said, earlier? 'But since Trixie was assigned with me, she could not possibly hope to overpower me'. So... what if the partners being changed was a...." The quiet confidence wavered slightly, and her eyes averted. "Um..." What was the word, again? "D.... Div...-"

She grew a little flustered, dropping his sleeve and giving up on reaching for a word she couldn't find. "...A false sign?"

Her gaze shifted once again, drifting to Kotomine. She was shaking faintly from the effort of speaking so much, thinking so much, but... she couldn't give up. Not when everyone else was being so brave. Not when losing meant dying here. She couldn't lose now; she had to make it back to Ren. So even though she was trembling, even though her fingers twitched and her chest ached, she found her voice. "Is that the piece you say we're missing? That she attacked you, and you 'easily overpowered her'?"

Sophie's eyes widened. The priest… was the culprit? That's… that's…

"A-are you…?" Sophie said, "I mean… the priest's… shady… but… are you…"

Sophie clasped her hands over her mouth.

"Oh my… that's what that meant?" she said, "I-I completely ruled him out… he…"

She turned to Kotomine.

"It was you?"

Pinkie Pie

Trial Room // Stadium Room

Pinkie had been happily waving towards the cheering crowd obliviously, looking at all their delightful faces. There were thousands of guests... the place was filled with cheers... everything was loud... and Pinkie loved it! It reminded her of the parties she would always throw for her princesses back at home! She was joyful at it all... well, until she saw everyone's expressions. Even though it was terribly loud where they were, everyone was still able to hear everyone else clearly. That meant that Pinkie immediately heard Sophie's cry for help, for wanting to get out of here, with the fear apparent in her voice. Pinkie quickly turned away from the crowd, having her eyes on Sophie who was crouching down. Why... was she doing that? Why was she filled with that terror? Did she have stage fright? Pinkie quickly looked at everyone else's reactions: Cater's disbelief, Menma crouching down, Clementine's shock, Claude's horror, Usagi's nervous giggling. She noticed how Atsushi was quiet as well, quietly shaking his head at her. Pinkie looked at them all in confusion. Why weren't they all jumping in joy of how this was all fake? Why weren't they all smiling ear to ear, knowing all the sadness and despair they experienced just now was completely fake, and they could probably go home now?

She got even more confused when the talking bear said how the audience didn't know who did it either. What was he talking about? They didn't know who did it... because there was nobody who did it, right? Pinkie had just figured out this was all a prank, but wasn't this the time where everyone admitted it was all a joke, like they would back at home? Wasn't this the time the prank show host laughed alongside them, and they were all filled with happiness and hope? The pink-haired girl perked up when Clementine asked if she was right, when Monokuma answered with, It's a game all right. He was admitting to his jokes! He was admitting that it was a game, so they didn't need to worry at all! Pinkie immediately raised her hands, about to happily clap for the good news presented to them. Until he continued.

A killing game.

She creased her eyebrows together, confused. What? She quietly listened to Monokuma, hearing all he had to say to them and the audience beyond them. Did Pinkie think that Trixie was hiding backstage, awaiting to come out? Yes, yes, she did! Trixie had to be here somewhere! As if expecting Trixie somewhere, she then turned her head left to right, smiling sheepishly for her. Where... where was she? She was going to come out sometime soon, right? Right? Wasn't the Ultimate Magician going to put a smoke bomb to the ground, saying to them arrogantly, Hahaha! My illusions worked on you all, did they not? Or! Or maybe she was going to say, Of COURSE the Great and Powerful Trixie didn't actually die! I would never lose this "game" in such a way! She never came, though, and yelled that out to them, yet Pinkie still tried to spot her in her sight. While she was looking around for Trixie, though, Monokuma's next words finally sunk into her.

The Ultimate Magician is dead. She was killed by one of you. And the killer will win if you pick the wrong person. But what is losing? Well, this is a killing game, so traditionally..."

"... the losers will die. Execution. If you vote for the wrong person, every single one of you will die. And if you vote for the right one... they will die. That's the killing game!"

Pinkie stared at Monokuma, as if not understanding what he was saying to them. This... this wasn't a prank? But... everything here was so abnormal! It was more abnormal than any of the magical creatures in her homeland! It was more abnormal than the most abnormal thing here! Even though Monokuma was drilling this into their heads earlier, now that Pinkie had been filled with denial and hope just a moment ago, she seemed to want to refuse anything again. She wanted to refuse this kind of thing could happen to her, could happen to her friends. She felt panic building inside her, so in an attempt to free it off, she looked at Sophie. Sophie would react in the right way! Pinkie would follow her example.

...and Sophie wasn't going with what Monokuma said! Hope in Pinkie's heart grew with Sophie's words, with her saying how they would get out of this. Ignoring how Sophie brought up how somebody killed Trixie again, thinking that Trixie couldn't have been dead, she nodded to her words, giving two thumbs up to anyone who had looked at her. "That's right!! Don't you worry, everybody! We will get home! I Pinkie promise you!" When the girl said "Pinkie", it was quite obvious she was referring to her name for a quick pun.

Clementine started everything up again, bringing them back on topic with their courtroom case. Pinkie, now having in her mindset that it was all fake and that if they solved all of this, they would go home, listened closely. She nodded at Clementine's words, but scrunched up her face when Clementine reminded them how Trixie "attacked" first. Oh, right. That was a part... a part of the fake case! Pinkie thought about this, saying to herself how she didn't need to panic, as it wasn't true. If Trixie was the one who "attacked" first, so would she have "attacked" the Ultimate Strategist, or the Ultimate Fighter, or even the Ultimate Rouge? If Trixie was the one who "planned" it, would she have risked it with them? Or would they even have listened in the first place to her invite to meet wherever?

She widened her eyes momentarily when suddenly, Sophie and Sera fought out. It wasn't necessarily Sera lashing out at Sophie that surprised Pinkie, but when Sophie did so back. Sophie had been more reserved than others until now, so she wasn't one to yell at everyone at anything, as Pinkie would always do cheerfully. Pinkie looked at Sophie for a few moments after she yelled at Sera, as if to see if she would continue. Thankfully, she calmed down, not risking the situation to rise any further. This caused Pinkie's face to be filled with relief. Even though Sera spoke up again, Sophie deescalated from the event, which made Pinkie smile now, as if she were proud. The last thing Pinkie wanted was large conflict, which was kind of ironic, with them being in a trial and all.

After this argument, others started talking again. As they were, Pinkie was half-listening to them, lost in her own thoughts and denial. They had solved so much now, but they still had so many unanswered questions. Why were the clothes in the daycare? What was the timeline of all the "killer" had done? And the most important one: who was the "culprit"? While she was asking herself these things, one thing that got her attention. It was something a blond-haired girl said:

"Is that the piece you say we're missing? That she attacked you, and you 'easily overpowered her'?"

"Huh?" Pinkie looked up at the girl, and then to the priest-man. Her eyes widened as she processed what the girl had just said, looking around at everyone's faces. At Sophie's surprised reaction, Pinkie got a hint of doubt inside her that all of this was real, and there was an actual murderer here. No! It was fake! After they solved who was the "murderer", then everything good would happen to them! This prank would most likely end, and they could go home! They would go home! They absolutely would!

She nodded at Marie's comment, and still thinking all of this wasn't real, gave her a huge smile. "That's super true!! After all, Trixie did know the priest-man!" She rubbed her chin, as if she were coming up with some master idea. "I wouldn't go out to coffee with some random stranger! Well, I nooormally would, but think about this whole thing!" She widened her arms, as if empathizing what she was thinking of. "I couldn't even sleep at night before, and I usually rest as good as a baby would! Would you go out in the middle of the night with a random stranger you didn't know that well for coffee? But, but!" She pointed at the priest-man. "Trixie WASN'T a random stranger to the priest-man!! Trixie probably invited him because she trusted that he would think nothing was wrong, since they knew each other!! If she invited people she didn't know that well, they would have been on guard! She probably thought that she could the priest-man off-guard, and that she would have higher chances to do 'it'!" When saying "it", she made quotation marks, as if telling others how she simply didn't believe anything.

She creased her eyebrows while saying this out loud, hesitating slightly afterwards. It was like a murder really did happen, with what everyone was saying. Nope! It was just realistic! Sometimes, scams were realistic, but that didn't mean they were true! Denying all information that everything happening to them was true, she nodded to her statements, looking to Marie for clarification. The blond-haired girl was the one who brought it up, so it only made sense for Pinkie to ask her if she was right. Pinkie had just blabbered all of the information at once, making her sentences in a way that she would understand. She didn't know if others would.

Clementine - Trial Stage

The audience smiled and laughed at Cater. A few seemed moved, but still excited. They wanted this drama. They were loving this reveal. Monokuma was loving it too. "If you refuse to play... well, that just makes you easy pickings for those of you who have actual conviction! A bit silly of you to tell me you'll live in harmony when you already have a death on your hands, hmm?"

With that, Monokuma gave a look around at the group. "Narrowed it down, have you? This is the most exciting part! You ready for it? I think it's about time we start... the voting!"

"What?" Clementine felt a sudden grip of fear clutch at her heart. He had to be joking. They weren't ready! The group was looking in too many directions still. If only Clementine felt she could just take the moment and voice her fears.

"W-Wait! The clothing! Sunset can't identify all the clothing! That might... mean something..." Clementine grabbed her podium hard and lifted herself up to look over the clues in the middle intensely. "What are you sure is Trixie's?!"

It could have all been Trixie's, as far as Sunset could tell, but it wasn't like she knew her friend's wardrobe inside and out. There were at least a few articles of clothing she wasn't sure... a few pairs of pants. Gloves. A jacket. A plain t-shirt. There was nothing notable about the clothing. The pants looked a bit rough while the jacket was a bit singed. All of it had certainly been washed though. Most of it looked generic enough to fit even the people from separate eras. Nothing about the clothing pointed to a specific person... as far as it seemed.

"I think the killer was washing their clothes with Trixie!" Clementine declared.

"Stalling for time?" Monokuma said, grumbling a bit. "What do you say, folks, should we let them go a bit longer!?"

The audience cheered. They wanted to see where this would go.

Kirei Kotomine

1646955556237.png
Kotomine merely shook his head, tutting as his gambit didn't exactly go the way he intended, but it was just as well. If the flock needed a shepherd, then the priest would play the part. The time was drawing near for him to throw his chips on the table, after all. All in the name of putting on a show, if nothing else. Extending out his arm, he began to speak again, his voice calm and measured once again just as quickly as he had raised it before.

"It appears in my attempts to clarify my innocence, I fell victim to the deadly sin of pride, if indeed the dear girl was so pure that she would fail even at making an attempt on another's life," he said. In all honesty, the man had little intention of addressing the accusations that came his way next, even though it might have been a mere trifle, for not only did Kotomine find it a bit beneath himself, but he also knew that the final key up his sleeve would certainly turn this case around. Even so, he chose to offer the briefest of rebuttals, in a way that only he could. "It is true that the girl would have had no hope against me, but I should hardly need a weapon to carry it out myself, nor would her body be so perfectly preserved. That, I can assure you," Kotomine only said with a self-satisfied smile.

And then, to even the priest's apprehension, Monokuma began to prematurely announce the time to cast their final votes. Just as Clementine said, they were hardly in any state to settle on a true consensus, but in her desperation, she had finally given Kotomine the opening to present his final gambit. As Clementine brought up the laundry and how it might have connected to the case all this time, the man put a hand to his heart.

"Fine, then. I shall lead you to the truth myself, and it is only by the good fortune of the girl there that this opportunity has presented itself toward me," he said, keeping his hand on his chest as he gestured toward Clementine. "Indeed, the missing link lies within the laundry, for all is not what it appears to be. Should the burnt jacket and the rugged pants not be familiar to you all?" He asked, his expression growing harder with every word.

"Don't you all think it was rather cold inside the hotel? Certainly not a good place to parade around without a jacket to keep yourself warm. Wouldn't you agree..."

BAM!

Kotomine slammed his hand onto the podium again with a resounding noise that echoed throughout the stadium, as he locked eyes with his target.

"Menma Izumi?"

The cards were now on the table. All that was left to connect the dots.

"But then, you would certainly have to clean your clothes, despite my best efforts to spare you when the bear had you at his mercy, no?"

Claude Von Riegan

Ultimate Stratigist

Trial Stage

"Wait--!!" Claude couldn't help but yelp as Monokuma started throwing around the idea of voting. He wasn't ready to vote yet!! This case still wasn't clear! There were still stones left unturned. Though he was sure that his yell would be futile. That beat did whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. That much was for sure.
He was suspicious of Sera, being as how she gave no solid defense other than that things were stupid. It really sounded as if she may be playing a game and wants people to beleive she was innocent. Her character profile did note that she was playful which could mean she thinks this is just a game that she wants to win. However, he also considered the possibility of Kotomine doing this. He didn't know why but it didn't seem in his character to do this crime. He didn't know much of the guy but he did seem the most calm about this situation. But calmness in the fact that they had to act rationally on this. It didn't seem he was the 'I'm calm because I'm guilty' type.

He recalled the assortment of clothes that were at the daycare which belonged to many individuals. Of what they could see most of these clothes belonged to Trixie and Sunset. However there were some plain clothes in the mix that could be anyone's and could have been overlooked. So the suspect could easily have been doing laundry like Clementine proposed.

For now though, the Ultimate Stratigist kept silent, both wanting to hear a testimony from Kotomine and to examine the clothes a bit more. He noted that they were a bit ragged...

And then came the testinony from Kotomine. Claude had to admit, he wasn't a fan of his language of speaking of such things like fourtune and fate - it made him think of how people beleived gods granted these things and Claude was never one to really put blind faith in the whims of entities. Things were created by their own wills, that's what he beleived anyway. But all of this was beside the point.

"That is a point. Menma was injured and her clothes would obviously need to be cleaned after she had such an injury. It also follows along with her name being one of the few that were swapped around, to throw us off..." he hummed. He remembered how angry Menma had been when he and Hamilton suspected her earlier. Did she just get angry because she DID kill Trixie?

Gosh... if Monokuma really was pulling a joke on them, he was really pushing it through. Yet again, he talked about deaths. He kept on talking about saddening things. But... when he was talking about easy-pickings, he meant an easy-pick for pranks, right? Monokuma was just lying about having their first death on their hands, right? Trixie was still alive, no matter what he said... right? Of course he was! Prankers always lie! Pinkie Pie's friend from home, Rainbow Dash, would always lie when putting on a prank! So would Pinkie when she was pulling pranks herself!... although she wouldn't be too good at lying through her giggles. Not the point! At Monokuma's words, though, now Pinkie was doubting more and more. Was he right? Was... all Monokuma saying true? Was she wrong, yet again? She showed sadness on her face for a moment before physically shaking her head- again- as she cleared her head of these dark thoughts.

Clementine's fear about Monokuma speeding up the voting seemed to be infectious, catching onto Pinkie. She looked nervously at the talking bear, having a slight bewilderment to her facial expression. Wasn't he going too fast? How were they supposed to get the fake murderer right if he didn't give them a chance to? She looked at his potential actions in confusion but sighed in relief when Clementine somehow managed to convince the crowd and Monokuma of how they could go on further by presenting a piece of evidence, of how Trixie was doing laundry with the "murderer".

Now that Clementine had brought this to their attention, most of the participants' eyes were on the clothing. Pinkie could clearly see pants, gloves, a burned jacket, and a shirt. Just regular stuff they most all likely had- wait. Gloves. Pinkie assumed that the clothes they had were regular-day outfits, as all of hers were, but gloves? Pinkie wouldn't think gloves were something you wore on a daily basis, but maybe for others it was? Plus, Pinkie didn't even have gloves in her clothes, and some others might not either. Pinkie didn't think Trixie and Sunset wore gloves, but others in the room might have some in their drawers. Maybe they should think of who they knew wore gloves? Or was Pinkie thinking too far into this, and it was a simple coincidence that she herself didn't have gloves?

When Louise pointed at the jacket, saying if anyone was in contact with flames recently, Pinkie raised her hand as if she were in class. "I know, I know! Pyramid Hea- uh, Tobi's outfit was burst into flames!! In Monokuma's presentation, the bear even... showed it..." At the mention of Monokuma's presentation, Pinkie's face filled with horror for a second. At Monokuma's presentation... the bomb happened. The blood happened. The injuries... no! If Pinkie was right, and it was all fake, then that event must have been fake! She shook her head, smiling again. "Monokuma even said that! But, but... that's the only fire thingy I can think of."

BAM!

When the priest-man suddenly slammed his podium, Pinkie jumped out of her shoes- er, sandals- and looked at him in wide surprise. Well, that certainly got her attention. And all the people's attention, really. It was effective, though, for dramatic effect. She listened to the priest, nodding in understanding, and then stared at Menma now. Pinkie had just thought of the bomb just now with Monokuma's presentation, and if they were thinking of the jacket being burnt... then... the priest may be right!

After Claude spoke, Pinkie waved her hand around crazily. "Me! Me!" She opened her mouth to speak, although hesitated for a moment. The bomb... the bomb. No! It... was fake! That horror... was fake! None of it was real! Nodding her head to herself, she continued with her statement: "Menma was near... the bomb, since Monokuma... grabbed... her! So... so that burnt part could be from that!"

Suddenly, one of the scary guys assigned next to Cater caught his eye.

“If you show weakness here, if you deign show mercy toward someone who will not return the favor, you doom not only yourself but the rest of us as well!"

He wanted to yell and scream at this guy. Who did he think he was? Who’s side was he on? It didn’t matter how others reacted, if you show kindness they are more likely to show it in return. Simple as that.

That’s what he wanted to say, but instead he took a deep breath, before feeling a tug on his sleeve. Marie was standing up and pulling him toward her to whisper in his ear.

"Cater, something is wrong here."

Well that was obvious. There were plenty of things wrong here. But he figured she would explain, or at least he hoped she would. He looked her way to urge her to continue.

"Claude, and the Sera and Menma ladies... they haven't been around everyone that much, have they? So if it's like Clementine said..."

He hadn’t payed close attention to the trial thus far, but it seemed Marie had been. As they stood at the podium it almost felt like he was her moral support, as she did the thinking. He didn’t mind that though, he was never a puzzle solver. He was mostly just- very average.

He whispered into her ear. “Don’t just tell me, share with the whole class silly!”

“The clergyman," though she still stared at Cater, she spoke louder, clearly attempting to address the room. He gave a little nod to urge her to go even louder.

“What Clementine said... 'If Trixie attacked, it fucking sucked'. You heard that, didn't you?"

The look of shock on Cater’s face from hearing the girl swear was probably pure comedy gold.

"Remember what he said, earlier? 'But since Trixie was assigned with me, she could not possibly hope to overpower me'. So... what if the partners being changed was a...."

Go on…

"Um..."

Yes…?

"D.... Div...-"

She was struggling with a word but he didn’t want to feed all the answers. He was sure she’d get it.

"...A false sign?"

Close enough.

“The word is diversion, btw.”

She was trembling. He wanted so desperately to just grab her hand and stop the shaking. But she needed to do it on her own and gain the confidence. Plus he didn’t feel like having that weird despair feeling again.

"Is that the piece you say we're missing? That she attacked you, and you 'easily overpowered her'?"

She was looking right at the scary priest guy. Yeah Cater knew that guy was sus from the beginning. It’s totally him!

Probably.

Yeah he has no idea but Marie’s idea sounded good!

He gave her shoulder a light squeeze and leaned to to her ear again.

“You did really good, Mar!”

The others began deliberating on Marie’s incredible conclusion. It seemed like maybe they were starting to get somewhere until of course, surprise surprise…

“Stalling for time? What do you say, folks, should we let them go a bit longer!?"

The crowd cheered. They wanted more, and Cater was relieved they did. Otherwise it would have been a complete shot in the dark, and the penalty their lives. Monokuma was at the beck and call of the audience. What they wanted, he’d provide.

Cater held his breath until Monokuma gave the okay to continue. He was sure Marie could feel the heavy release of air he sighed in relief.

“Maybe I’ll have time to wrap my head around this case after all…” he muttered.

kangae_bk.pngSomething still felt wrong about all of this.

As the room broke out into debate again, following Clementine's urgent pleas for the trial to continue and Kotomine's rebuttal to her accusations, Marie lost herself in thought. It was definitely defeating, to have her words shrugged off so quickly and entirely when it had taken so much for her to speak them in the first place, but at least Cater seemed proud of her. That, and... she didn't want to give up. It was a strange thought to have, given she had always been an utterly apathetic individual about more or less everything until recently, but the desire was there. She wanted to help these people, and to live on to save Ren and triumph against those who sought to steal away all he loved. She wanted to see people smile, and to know that maybe, just maybe, it was in part because of her. She didn't want to be the damned girl, harbinger of evil; she wanted to be a bringer of light and reassurance. A symbol of peace to whoever's heart she could reach to do so.

She wasn't sure what had prompted such a change. She'd felt lost and afraid without Ren to guide her in this new and terrifying world, especially after what Reinhard had done to her and what she'd seen in the castle. It seemed strange to suddenly want something that had always been so far out of reach - so far off her radar. But even though being here had been scary, and she was incredibly worried about Ren, she hadn't completely hated it. In fact, spending time just coexisting in the same space with her rag-tag little group, eating and playing games she'd never heard of and sharing space... it was like a dream coming true that she'd never even realized she'd had. It hadn't fully registered before, but spending time with Nana, Cater, and Shinoa had been fun. It even made Marie wonder what it might be like, living like this every day. To have someone's hand a mere few inches away, ready to be taken in her own; to have the ability to reach out and take it without having them stolen away from her grasp by a curse beyond logical comprehension.

If she lived this way... would she perhaps find her heart?

Truthfully, she still doubted whether she had one. Even before Reinhard had pierced her, she'd felt as though the whole of her being was merely a void, empty of thought and feeling alike. But even if that was the case, even if she was nothing but an empty shell, running on the emotions and morals of another... if she could still do right by someone, even if just one person... then did it matter? Would she be able to do something good?

With all of her being, she wanted to believe so. Cater's soft whisper almost made her think it to be true, too. It was that pure, gentle longing that had just begun to blossom deep within her soul that prompted her to raise her voice again. "Wait," she willed, her blonde hair hiding her eyes. Cater's gentle grip on her shoulder eased her anxiety, giving her the courage to go on. He'd told her to speak up, hadn't he? She would do her best to stick to that, no matter if it was hard. Her fingers sought purchase on something, anything to ground her, ultimately folding into the fabric of her dress while she went on. "Doesn't that seem wrong?" She was by no means loud, but her gentle protest was at least audible. Even as an individual who trusted easily, she found this all a little convenient. There had been a whole group who had gone to the laundry room, hadn't there? How had none of them but Kotomine seen the burnt clothes? And why had he been cryptic about the matter, intentionally refraining from bringing it up until now? It all seemed suspicious, and beyond that...

"Um, Menma..." It was a soft murmur, as Marie slowly searched for the other girl among the 'contestants'. As she did so, the others confirmed something she'd been thinking. That had been the girl who the bear attacked- the one everyone rushed in to help. "You were hurt badly from all that, weren't you?" she asked, softly. "It doesn't make sense." Marie had minimal experience with injury, given the nature of her curse meant lives being taken in an instant rather than slowly, but she remembered what it felt like to be shattered. What it felt like when Reinhard had stabbed her with his spear in her chest. It hurt. It hurt so much she'd barely been able to bear it. She couldn't imagine that the girl had managed any sort of miraculous, instant recovery, so it seemed insane to think that she would've had the strength to fell Trixie in a single hit with no trouble. And besides that... "And the others... people jumped in to try to help." Menma undoubtedly hadn't been the only one whose clothing had gotten roughed up in the blast. She personally couldn't remember who else it had been, specifically, thanks to her panic at the time- but she did remember how confused she was by the matter. What if the clothes were one of theirs?

Menma was still curled up in a ball at her podium, her head pounding with vibrations. It was extremely overwhelming, the whole trial felt sickly familiar; she didn't know how so awful could be familiar- but the people watching, the camera she wanted to puke.

People were still pointing fingers, she weakly pulled herself up; using the lip of the railing as support.

Her jacket...?

Fingers were pointed at her now.
menma 3.png

"Hold on, wait-" she started.

She blinked, dumbfounded at the girl asked if she was injured badly as if she didn't have a huge scar across her face. Her head was swirling, that feeling of nausea rising inside of her.

Clementine - Trial Stage

UgTuhvj.png
This was it. There was no way she could hold back any longer. She had to admit that the reasoning against the priest and Tobi was strong... but there had been a lingering feeling in the back of her mind ever since this trial started. She had placed her complete trust in someone and Clementine felt that trust might have been misplaced now. It was hardly a new feeling for the girl, but in the midst of all that was happening, it was all too overwhelming.

"I'm sorry," Clementine said, feeling defeated. She breathed heavily as she leaned against the podium for support. "I told Menma who I thought the traitors might be. Trixie was on that list, so I was worried that maybe... they fought... but..."

Members of the audience gasped. They, of course, knew of that conversation. Perhaps this was seen as a betrayal by the audience.

Monokuma took this as a sign. "Is that right? Is this a sign? Is it already... VOTING TIME?!"

The audience let out a raucous cheer. Oh yes, it was time.

"Damn it!" Clementine exclaimed. She looked around at the others. "Kotomine. Tobi. Menma. It's one of them! It has to be! The evidence, though... out of those three, who would Trixie be most likely to attack? Who would she most likely feel comfortable with to share a coffee with? Everyone, that's what it's come down to!"

She looked to Menma, determination in her eyes. "I'm sorry! But I have to! If it's not you, Menma, I need a better argument from you!"

Everyone was turning on her.

Menma didn't really make an effort to make friends, clinging to Clementine subtly in confusion; even the blond boy who stalked her was some sort of comfort.

VOTING TIME

"Oh my fucking god please shut up," she shouted at the bear.

"Butters was in bed early, he seen me in the room- I did do laundry but much earlier than midnight, but forgot it and went to sleep," she finished, panting her brows furrowed. Menma crossed her arms, a self-soothing action as she looked into Clem's eyes.

Claude Von Riegan

Ultimate Stratigist

Trial Stage

Claude listened to everyone's arguments and contemplated them. After Clementine spoke, he decided to take some time to express his own thoughts on the matter. Marie did make a point about how Menma was hurt and couldn't have been able to commit the crime. But there were some things that he realized were against that argument as well and could still point to her involvement. Clementine's statement about the suspected traitors also only added to a motive Memna might have had to commit the murder.

"I would have thought that Memna might have been too hurt myself when I first started suspecting her." the archer started. " However, she's shown herself to be strong. The fact that she even survived an explosion with just a gash to the face is something. That explosion was small but it was still an explosion. If someone wasn't strong, they could have easily have been killed by an explosion, no matter how small. An explosion's no joke, and it had enough force to hurt others in the area. Yet she came out of it. I think if she truly wanted, she might have mustered the strength and will to do this. Clementine's point about only telling Menma about how Trixie could have been a traitor just gives more motive to comitt the crime. Unless someone else can give a more solid allibi for Menma, I'm not convinced she isn't the culprit. The evidence is just lining up too well. I'm sorry."

Usagi’s face twists into something akin to a grimace. Admittedly, she still has a near-zero understanding of what was happening. The fog had begun to lift from her head upon the audience reveal, but now, it has descended once more and made her thoughts fuzzy-soft around the edges. She can’t tell at this point what’s real and what’s a bit. Everything’s so topsy-turvy. Surely, at least, if this were a live tv show, her friends would want to see her participate properly and give them a good show. Usagi gingerly lets a smile replace her facial expression. She twists a lock of her long blonde twintail around a finger. This is so silly, though; how can everyone really expect her to act just right? Oh, well. She’ll give it her best. It’s what she does. Sophie’s outbursts had startled her a bit already, and she couldn’t help but laugh shockedly either when the bear announced it was voting time.

“Aya, well, if it’s not who I thought it was, I think it can really only be the priest man. Kotomine!” Usagi declares. She rocks back and forth on her heels a bit as she speaks. “I mean, him and Trixie already knew each other, so it wouldn’t be weird for them to meet up. And Kotomine, honestly, is a liiittle bit of a meanie.”

Usagi nods her head to herself as if to prove her point. “I mean, everybody heard what awful things he said to Wanda-san on the first day. And I think, out of anybody, he’s one of the only here who could really be capable of— well, you know!” She snickers behind her hand. “Silly old men like him aren’t usually a teenage girl’s biggest fan, anyways!”

niko.pngThere was... a lot of tension in the room. It prickled at Marie's skin like a cold breeze on a winter night, chilling her in a way she'd not experienced before. The air itself seemed to swirl with the negative emotions of all those present, starkly contrasted by the symphony of whoops and hurrahs from the crowd. The hurricane of clashing emotions was strong enough to swallow a lesser soul whole, but Marie's own was special; it was one that had transcended death itself, becoming something far greater in the process. She would not falter here. No matter how she shook or ached.

Working hard at staying in the moment, concentrating on the feeling of the warmth that emanated from Cater's touch, Marguerite Breuil listened to the harrowed cries of her fellow competitors. She empathized with them, imagined the hurt they were feeling, and how it might've measured with her own. But of course, in the end, their feelings held no importance. This was a matter of life and death. They needed to think with their minds, not their hearts. Otherwise, they would never make it out of this accursed place. Still...

"...Mm? Sorry...?"

Claude's conclusion to his speech, and Clementine's outburst alike made her blink, befuddled to a point of nearly forgetting her resolve. What on earth did they have to be sorry for? They were all pursuing the same goal, weren't they? What strange people. She smiled faintly to herself at the oddity of it all, unable to help it. But even with the strange natures these people displayed, her amusement couldn't last long in this environment. It was quickly bogged down under the weight of agony and sorrow. And one person in particular felt estranged in entirety, cornered and all alone. Marie... knew how that felt. To be the one receiving a whirlwind of blame and aggravation, when you couldn't even understand what was happening to warrant it. To be drowned in solitude and estrangement so deep that you almost failed to notice you were even submerged at all.

Her smile didn't melt away. If anything, it became sympathetic. "...For what it's worth," she spoke in the silence, her focus wholly locked on Menma as she shyly pushed a lock of hair out of her face before it immediately fell back, "I believe you, Menma." Despite not knowing the girl at all, Marie spoke with crystal clear certainty, as though she were proclaiming that the sky was blue or water was wet. She knew it wasn't much, but in that moment, it was all she could offer.

The time for expressions of belief in one another was over, though. Unless someone offered up a groundbreaking argument with undeniable proof, she had her conclusion. Clementine and Menma may have had reasons to refrain from mentioning the burned clothes, but whatever those reasons were, it didn't seem like Kotomine had any reasons to keep the details privy. But, ah, they had to... vote, right? She wasn't entirely sure what that entailed, at first, but she managed to pick it up after hearing a couple others go ahead. "...I think I will vote for the girl's partner. Ko-- ah... hm... Koto... Ko-to-mi-ne," she stated after a silence, fumbling over the name before managing to sound it out. To her, the likelihood of an injured Menma committing such a clean and swift kill simply couldn't compare to Kotomine's. And more than that, the fact that Trixie was Kotomine's partner made it seem a lot less strange for the pair to happily go off to get coffee together without either batting an eye or texting their messaging partners. That combined with the seeming withholding of information on the priest's part had apparently convinced her. But, uh, Usagi's words prompted her to blink owlishly and tilt her head. "...huh?" Apparently, she didn't 'know'. Beyond that, she had no clue about the awful things the priest had allegedly said. Huh, indeed.

Monokuma let out a raucous cheer. "Huzzah! This is what we're looking for! Puhuhu! Go ahead, throw those punches. Throw out blame. Point fingers! That is what a trial is about, baby!" The bear stood on his chair and raised his paws into the air. "Get the audience's blood pumping! A trial's more fun the more paranoid you are! The more chaos you bring, the tastier it all gets. Come on, smile wide. Gnash those teeth. I wanna get a good closeup whether you're filled with hope or despair!"

Clementine was trying to ignore the bear best she could, but she thought she heard a strange noise following his little spiel. Was it a rumbling? Yelling? It sounded distant but close.

...

"Do you ever shut up?" Clementine asked, turning on him. "You're really enjoying this, huh? No one here wants to be doing this! This is so... it's fucking crazy, asshole!"

"Huuuuh?" Monokuma tilted his head at the girl. "Come on, the people love it! Don't you want to put on a good show? I'm just trying to tell you what plays well to the audience. They're still trying to figure you out, you know."

"Audience?" Clementine grit her teeth. She was so tired of this asshole already. "You keep mentioning an audience. Viewers. Even making advertisements! Is that what's going on here, huh? You recording this? Who are you sending this to?! A bunch of rich guys in a bunker somewhere desperate for some entertainment at the end of the world or something?"

The bear let out a long, long laugh. "No, silly. Way more than that."

The walls of the trial room itself began to give way. The ceiling retracted, revealing that wherever they are was absolutely ginormous. As the walls were removed, it became clear where they actually were. Around the center ring of podiums was a space akin to the size of a stadium.

Yes, it looked just like a stadium... with thousands of people in the stands. Giant monitors affixed on all sides of the stadium showed close-up views of the trial ring, as well as footage of the participants as they debated.

"It's the live audience!"

The stands were filled. They somehow were loving the sight of people standing in a circle yelling at each other. They let out a loud, deafening cheer.

That was the noise Clementine had heard. Cheering. People were cheering. They were watching them debate who killed Trixie. Just... watching. Smiling. Laughing. Yelling.

"Everyone, what do we love?!"

The audience let out a roar in response.

Patches squinted and recoiled at the sudden burst of light and sound, his senses scrambled. He seemed, for once, to be in genuine discomfort. Never before could he have imagined such a large amount of people in one area. Living all those years in desolate, wasted kingdoms couldn't have prepared him for this. Not only that, but it only further cemented the fact that he had indeed fallen into some psycho's contraption. "This is mad, I tell you..." he mumbled under his breath, his voice completely inaudible in spite of all the noise. He began to doubt the point of it all. Patches shook himself away from despair as voting began. He took a few deep breathes before curling his face into his signature smile. This was the motivation he needed. He remembered what he lived for, and what kind of person he was. To punish a priest like Kotomine would be the greatest indulgence. "The cleric's rotten to the core, he is. I've said it all along. He pretends to save lives, but he knows damn well how to end one. The swift kill, the clothing, it all lines up. Obvious, isn't it? He's the killer."

Louise closed her eyes for a long moment, focusing on her breathing. "I... don't think it's Kotomine. I was up all night, remember? I feel like I would've seen him go if he did go. We, uh... talked. A lot. I wouldn't be confiding to an empty wall, would I? ...would I? Also, I've dealt with people like him before. He's sly, but he would have up a different act altogether if he did do it. His... mannerisms would've probably still warned Trixie off of being alone with him at the time. No offense, Kirei. I... I hate to say it, but I think it's Menma. Her jacket's there, and - in a fight, she'd know the perfect place to strike, have the... anger in her for the extra blows. Kotomine would've been more meticulous with cleanup. He seems like that sort of person. It's not much of a case, but - it's something."

After Pinkie told her share, she then quietly listened as Marie said her theory to everyone. The pink-haired girl quietly listened politely, but scrunched up her eyebrows when the girl said how Menma was hurt and that other people went in to jump as well with the… bomb. If Pinkie could remember… Usagi, Frank, and Kotomine jumped in to help Menma, who was captured by the bear. Did Clementine help as well? Pinkie wasn’t sure. The memory was fuzzy for her, but she definitely remembered seeing Kotomine and Menma, who were both suspects right now. Pinkie shivered at the memory, but she was quietly connecting the dots inside her head.

Pinkie listened to Menma, but as she said that she forgot her jacket, Pinkie looked at her in confusion. Kotomine had said earlier that it was cold inside the hotel, so Pinkie couldn’t believe that Menma would just leave her source of warmth inside a washing machine and forget about it. Menma’s outfit also seemed more like it was used for hot weather, not for the cold breezes inside this building. Pinkie found it hard to believe that someone could forget that they were cold… unless they were in panic from committing a “murder”. But Menma didn’t actually murder Trixie! This was all just fake! It was all fake. Reminding herself that all of this wasn’t true, Pinkie felt more safer to say her opinions out loud.

Pinkie listened to other people’s votes: Sophie for Menma, Marie for Kotomine, Usagi for Kotomine, Trusty Patches for Kotomine, and Louise for Menma. She wasn’t sure of Claude’s vote yet. She knew one thing for sure, though: it wasn’t Kotomine.Pinkie was sure that the fake killer was Menma! It all made sense when she looked at what other people said earlier in the trial Kotomine wouldn’t connect to past facts that they stated. Only Menma would!

“WAIT!” Pinkie screamed out after Louise said her statement. “I agree with Louise! It’s not Kotomine!!” Pinkie quickly pulled out her bright pink tablet, as she had evidence on there to support her case. While she was opening up the PROFILE app, she pointed at Louise. “You said earlier that Trixie and the person she invited might have had an argument, and that might be super duper true. But, but! Marie, Trusty Patches, Usagi, listen!! Do you think that Kotomine would argue with Trixie or lose his temper with her, causing bad things to happen? Just a teeny weeny second ago, he calmly said how he wasn’t the fake killer!! If he could keep his panic inside of him right now, then he probably could have deescalated the argument with Trixie! BUT! On the other hand…”

Pinkie pulled up Menma’s profile and showed it to Clementine and Trusty Patches, who were both by her sides. If they looked on it, they would see where she was going with this. Well, hopefully. Pinkie was still slightly confused about all of this trial herself. FAKE trial. Yes, they were just doing this, and after they solved it, Trixie would appear again and they would all go home! They just needed to solve it. Just solve it with the others, Pinkie, and it’ll all be okay, no matter what Monokuma and the others said before.

Menma Izumi
Chaotic | Hot-Headed | Tsundere

“It says riiiight here how Menma is hot-headed! A hot-headed person would argue with Trixie, leading to their ‘blowout’.” She made quotation marks at this word. “Also, also! If Trixie planned to do ‘it’ from the start, she would have chosen someone weak to do it. Marie, you said how Menma probably wouldn’t be able to do it, since she was injured, but you gotta remember that Trixie ‘attacked’ first!! Also, like Claude said, she’s the Ultimate Fighter! She could have ‘handled’ Trixie, even if Trixie didn’t think so!! Clementine!” Pinkie turned around and pointed towards the girl next to her. “You said that Trixie didn’t know many people that well, and only knew Sunset and Kotomine kinda well, but that doesn’t mean that she didn’t know that other people. Menma!” She now pointed at the main suspect. “Weren’t a lot of people asking if you were okay from… from the bomb? And didn’t everybody know how Monokuma…” Pinkie hesitated from remembering the event that happened again, but continued after a second. “Didn’t everybody know how Monokuma… grabbed you and… blew up? If everyone was asking you if you were okay, then what happened would be memorable. Everybody had to have been there, so Trixie would have saw, too. She would have known who you were, and she probably invited you out to do laundry when she saw how your jacket got all burned from the bomb!! Or, or! Like I just said! Everybody saw how you were injured, so maybe Trixie had her eye on you for a ‘killing’, as I said before!” Even though Pinkie also made quotation marks for this word, she still slightly panicked at it. Breathing out, she looked at Atsushi for a moment, then to Sophie, calming her nerves. Now seeing her friends, she knew what to say next.

“Clementine alsooo said how the ‘killer’ mixed up the partners discreetly, and they probably didn’t want us to find out. Marie, you said that it may have been a false sign. But! If Kotomine did it, wouldn’t he have mixed up more partners to make sure it was noticeable? I don’t think he would trust us to figure it out all by ourselves, so if he did ‘it’, he probably would have made sure we noticed it. The partner switches we saw were hidden, since a lot of people didn’t even notice it at first. If Kotomine did that on purpose, he probably would have pointed it out first to make sure we got it.”

Pinkie nodded at her statement, and then declared out loud, “I’m with Sophie and Louise here. Menma definitely did the fake kill. I’m 100% sure!! Well, maybe 99%. But still super duper sure!”

If Pinkie wasn’t as sure as she was now that everything would be okay if they solved this trial, then she most likely never would have said any of this at all and just followed what Sophie would have thought. But she was sure everything would be okay, so she tried to think everything was fake with a smile on her face.

Stiles “ Ultimate Sarcasm” Stilinski

Stiles was reviewing all the notes and trying to figure it out when he checked on Toni’s profile. And then something clicked. “I think it was Tobi. His profile matchs and wasn’t he blown up to get rid of his disguise? I think the bear said that. I’m voting for Tobi.”
