Kuchi hesitated and got even more pale his ears twitching back a little. "Oh, no no Genevieve there's no need to burden yourself with that! I can manage arrangements myself!" He chuckled nervously and cleared his throat, his face returning to normal, "I'll accept the offer though as I have enjoyed our brief time knowing each other." Smiling he took out a small amulet made of silver and shaped into a fox's face. "Please, accept this as a gift, from me to you. It's a sign of gratitude, respect, and thanks from Rivendale. More specifically, my family."

Gwen blushe . " How could I ever accept something as beautiful and surely expensive as that. I just offered you a home, not a life or something. I appreciate the offer but I cannot accept with a good conscience. ", as she gently pushed his hand back. Her wings were fluttering even more and she started to hover a bit over his head. " I am sorry...I can't control them sometimes.", she said as she folded her wings again, falling to the ground ungently. She made a pained noise as she twisted her foot.

"And so the cat finally cracks the persona of the dragonkin..." Kazuhiro chuckled, but there was a sense of upset realization in it. "I know how it is, living your life, pretending the past wasn't as bad as it actually was. So you act as if it was nothing. Until that one person comes along and breaks it." Kazuhiro smiled, "Truths are better than living a lie. Trust me, one day, we'll visit your home, and when we do. We'll make sure the other dragonkin realize that they abandoned someone who's stronger than all of them."

hikaru listened to kaz as he spoke. "stronger? i'm not strong. but.. you would really do that? why? we only just met hours ago. why would you help me?" she said tears still falling. she looked up at him with eyes that openly displayed her vulnerability. "you could have just left me alone. but you didn't.." she said trailing off. she couldn't express everything she was feeling. so she just looked at kaz.

Nodding he put the trinket back. Hearing her pained noise his ears perked up and he had a slightly worried face. "You're not too badly hurt are you?" Worried as is he held her hand firmly and motioned over to a nearby couch. "Shall we sit for a moment?"

||Mykky's Cottage - The Forest That Watches||

With a groan, Melchio's jade eyes cracked open again, his face nearly as green as them, and his body feeling like it'd been ran over with a steamroller. And yet there he was, still tied up. Though thankfully, he was now lying on the couch again. The fire was out again, but in its place, a single, flitting pink butterfly glittered, trapped inside a glass bottle.


"Just like me..." He muttered, and in that instant, the shadows cast by the shining butterfly shifted, and dots of red poked out of the darkness, until a body was alight in small red lights, some floating high, others in clusters, with one, giant, heart shaped cluster in the middle of all the rest. The low hissing that came from the shadows told him all he needed to know. That creature he saw before, while he was cooking: it was awake. He ignored the cold, wet towel on his forehead, and struggled to free himself, forgetting just how futile an effort it was. Now that he wasn't being baked with smoke, he could smell its putrid breath, which smelt of rotten meat and decomposing logs, which he gagged upon. It stepped forward, its fleshy, pink tongue, long and forked like a snakes, hanging limply from its mouth as it panted, inching closer and closer. It was at this moment Melchio noticed he didn't have the gag anymore, which probably meant he wasn't meant to be eaten. But... this animal had other plans.


"No no no!" He growled, fighting even harder against the vines which trapped him, only causing the beast to shuffle faster towards him. "I can't go out like this! I can't- urgh... d-die like this!"


"And you won't. So stop your crying." Growled a feminine voice from beyond the shadows. Slowly, the elf came into view, holding the butterfly lamp carefully, as to not harm the creature. She glared at him with glowing, neon-green eyes with a dangling necklace which glowed with the same light as her eyes.


"Woah..." Melchio muttered, he himself having never met an elf before- he could tell by the signature pointed ears that elves were known so well for. He glanced around at the dark, dank home which he was still trapped within. "So... this your place." Un-amused, she smashed the glass against a fresh pile of logs set in the fire pit, and the butterfly exploded into flame, catching the logs and dead leaves on fire, and brightly lighting the place so Melchio could make out the entirety of it.


It was a roomy little cottage, despite what it looked like from the outside. The ground was a soft, supple green grass- so different from the black, dead matter that grew outside. It seemed like the house constantly had the sound of rain pattering against the roof, made of fresh, lively leaves. Everything in the house was alive- the very walls were a single entity- living vines that contorted to the shape of those inside, which explained why the giant Venus flytrap- which he was sure would've eaten him if not for the elven woman- could fit in the home. Speaking of the woman, she walked to his side, removing the wet, cold towel from his forehead, before resting the back of her hand against his forehead. She sighed, apparently pleased with her own work.





"Good to see Mr. Idiot Angel's no longer dying. Do you know how much of a pain that would've been, having to deal with your dead body in my house? Just be glad Frillz was here to save you-" She jabbed a thumb at the giant Flytrap, which hissed in a harmonic tone, apparently pleased with the elf's praise of it. "You'd be dead right now- a shivering mass'a dead matter- if it weren't for the lil' guy. Good thing he's always been parental of those who're strong- he doesn't hate the weak, though. He simply loves how they taste."





"..." Melchio stared at her, clearly unhappy with what she'd just said. "Nothing you say is comforting, you know that?" He sighed, a grin growing on his face. "But, if it weren't for you, I'd be dead right now- that goes for you too... Frillz." He was still uncomfortable around the creature, but it was good to know that it apparently gagging him and cooking him was part of its strategy to heal him. "Now, if you could just let me go, I'll just be on my-"


"On your way?" She whispered, as the vines tightened around him like a vise. "Surely you don't think I'll just letja go free after you wasted so much of my time and so many of my valuable materials? Oh no, no. You're gonna have to repay me, understand?" As if to emphasize her point, she made the vines yank him to his feet, so that he was kneeling before her. He got the message. This was her forest, and he was trespassing. As her guest, he was obligated to do as she asked, and by wasting her time, he'd done her wrong. Though he didn't like it, he had to repay her, however she deemed fit. So, with a sigh, he caved.


"Fine. What do you need me to do, miss?" He grunted, looking up at her. She smiled, and the vines slowly unwrapped themselves from around him. As he got up, Frillz stayed trained on him, in case he wanted to do her harm. That wouldn't be possible, however, as his arms were still asleep from being strapped to his side for so long. As he glanced up at her, he found her look unsettling, like she was picking him apart for his usefulness.


"First, introductions: you already know Frillz, my pet and greatest friend. Try anything, and you'll find yourself in its belly." In response, it gnashed its hundreds of sharp fangs together, and licked its lips greedily, sending as shiver down Melchio's spine. "I, the queen of this forest, am Mykky. Mykky Melody. And you?"





"Melchio Degrass." He grunted, offering his hand to her. She accepted, nodding, and storing the name in her mind. "Now, I'll ask you again:


what do you want me to do?"

Standing up he sat beside her and put his other glove back on. "Now it doesn't matter. In Rivendale it was common to be injured due to the harsh environment and aggressive animals. I almost lost one of my nine tails and an ear, so I learned basic healing magicks so I wouldn't have to worry. As for going to your home, I'd love to join you." Kuchi smiled and his ears twitched while his nine tails curled around him to rest in his lap as he sat beside her.

" I know usually people say ladies first, but since your new here I will let you go first.", she said as they entered the apartment. It was quite big and with very nice view and furniture.

hikaru being too tired to argue that was his bed. "ok.." she said nodding. walking into kaz's room. hikaru laid on the bed folding her wings around herself almost like a cocoon. then pulling kaz's bed cover over herself. fell asleep almost instantly. her long ivory hair had fanned out around her. on the bed as she slept.

Smiling Kuchi pulled her closer and hugged her gently. "Tomorrow it is then. I'll be attending the Academy so it won't be until later in the day." Kuchi chuckled lightly, "I never did tell you my full name... Tumiji Kukuchi."

Gwen hugged him back." Genevieve Lalond. I will be looking forward to our date. ", she replied.

Vix noticed that they couldn’t keep this up without one of them becoming extremely injured. He was a smart fox and a thief at that so he knows when to call it a day. He retracted his clones back into his body. "I got to say that was fun, but I think we can call it day my friend. Plus at this rate one of us will end up dead." he said with a weak smile. He was feeling extremely drained from all the attacks he took. " Plus, I think both of us need to get patched up, but I got to say it was a fun match." he added while dropping to one knee trying to catch his breathe the best he could. He was very impressed with the fallen angel, if he ever needed someone to watch his back, he knows who he wants on his team. As of right now he needs to get both of them healed up.

Hitsugya stopped right then. He couldn't move, the only thing he could do was just stand there. Within a few seconds he coughed up blood and blood ran down his chest in the pouring rain. He dropped to his knees, coughing more blood, and placing his hands on the ground to stop him from falling over.

Allison simply stared blankly at Akuma for a bit before turning her attention back to the fight, no point in talking to a drunk man. Annnd thanks to the distraction she missed the end of it, "Well..damn." She mumbled. "That'd be cool if you think you can." She replied. And then she noticed Hitsugya actively dying. "Hold that thought." She added before getting up up and running over to him and assesing his wounds, lucky for him it was a lot easier due to his shirt being off. "Next time maybe don't opt to get maimed by a kitsune?" She told him jokingly, "Hold still." She added, placing a hand on his chest and mumbling a few words as well as hoping they were correct. If not...he just might burst into fire. "I said hold still!" She shouted, annoyed. Luckily, they were the right words and the interruption didn't affect anything, and they wouldn't be having fried angel for dinner.


His wounds began closing slowly after she removed her hand from his chest, making a disgusted expression at the blood on her hand she did her best to wipe it off on the wet pavement. "There. You won't be at a hundred percent but you won't die." She told him, honestly glad she did that correctly for once. Every other time she tried unintended.. side effects.. happened. She shuddered at the thought and stood up. "Pretty cool fight, by the way." She added.

Hitsugya coughed a bit of blood, there was still the physical strain on his body from all of those attacks. He got up, still in pain from the bit of internal damage, and looked at Allison "Thanks…how long until I am at 100%?" he asked, wanting to go train right away.
