Hadley's Hope Pioneer
Rex couldn't see anyone around, yet he still felt uncomfortable. "The night has a thousand eyes,," he muttered to himself (Cookies to anybody who gets the reference) He moved away from the unconscious man, starting to feel like scum. "Is this what I've always been? A petty crook?" He thought to himself, feeling slightly disgusted. For a moment, he was tempted to give the money back, but instead decided that he needed it. "He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time" Rex justified to himself as he knelt and placed his finger against the mans neck, making sure he had a heart beat. Relieved that the victim was still alive, Rex backed off. He tossed the stick aside since it was half broken, deciding he would need a more modern weapon. It would be very difficult to change his instincts now, for it was all he had to rely on. He moved through the alley quickly, looking around carefully. This is what he was looking for, a closed Blacksmith shop! Rex stood casually by the corner, trying to figure out a plan. A dollar couldn't buy anything, he would need to break in, get what he needed, then get out. With that thought in mind, he continued to scope out the area, waiting for the street to be clear. This heist would require extra caution, due to the unusual residents of the city, getting caught could be deadly. A few moments later, a brick flew through the window, shattering the glass into a million pieces. Not a single moment later, Rex bolted into the stop and hastily looked around for any useful weapons. He only stopped his feverish search for a split second to stare at his hand. It had a few cuts from the glass, but that was not the focus of attention, it was the lack of blood. "What the hell,," He stared at his fingers in astonishment, waiting for it to bleed, but nothing happened.
