Fantasy ~ FableWood ~

Zelnite finally stood up, following the group wherever they went. Surprisingly, the group looked like they finally solved the problem. He started to go towards the group. "So this is the power of the chalice, huh?" he mumbled to himself.

Satisfied that she was now free of the hold of the madness she let her go. Then she looked at her own body, full of scratches, mauls and scars, her clothes torn and she was bleeding from multiple wounds. But they have finally did it. She smiled weakly at Luness.

" I am glad you are back... friend. " she said as she felt a sudden weakness taking over her as she turned to the healer. " Wise healer, may I ask for your aid? I might need a quick healing... "

She fell to her knees, spitting blood in the snow. Her breathing was ragged and hard but she was happy. They have succeeded to avert disaster.

The healer slipped the charm over Luness' neck and stood back, eying the damage she had done. She moved over to Nyr, fussing about her wound.

"You, Dread raven, and Lion man. Back to my house, I'll patch you up. And you," She turned on Luness, her grizzled lip curled back, though Ward could not tell if she was smiling or baring her teeth.

"Not seen one like you in many a long year. You've got a lot of strength, but yer still a kit. Don't you let this dark magic jiggery pokery make a fool out of us weres. And also; there's enough of folk who hate us already without you bein' nasty to those that want to help you. I know good folk when I see 'em. You ain't got nothin' to worry about here."

Ward rushed to Nyr's side, placing a gentle talon on her back and helping her steady herself.

"I can carry you there, don't worry." He said, worrying greatly over her injuries.

Stepping back, Quincy watched the healer finally get the werecat under control again. The kelpie furrowed her brow, concern etched deeply into her pretty face. Leo, Nyr, and one of the humans had all been injured by the attack. This chalice had been thought extremely dangerous, and this proved it. With the injured being ushered away, the kelpie stepped forward again. “The rest of you, there is food in the hall. Its too cold out here. Let's go." She beckoned them as Ward went to the raven, wishing to draw them away from the bloody scene.

Alexander went with Quincy, and saw what was happening. "The others seem to have this under control..." He said as he watched Quincy, and noticed she gave up her charm. He promised he would prevent her from doing anything she may regret, and now he knew that he had to pay closer attention to her if he wanted to keep that promise.

He nodded and waited for the others to file inside before following. "We are missing someone, are we not?" He asked, once they gathered in the main room

Luness' injured forearm, which had bled through the bandaging, hung limply at her side now that the overpowering anger and frustration inside of her had been calmed. Standing upright on her hind legs, Luness folded her ears against her head at the chastising from the healer. She then crossed her good arm across her chest and gripped just above her injury on her bad arm. Her injured arm was throbbing now and Luness bit her lip to avoid letting out a whimper, a sign of weakness that Luness didn't want to show.

Looking down at the ground, Luness listened to what the healer said and then muttered under her breath, "I don't need no help. I can take care of myself." Stubborn as always and now feeling badly for what injuries she'd caused to the other magical beings present, not so much for the human, Luness began to inch away from the group, feeling a strong urge to escape still. She always felt more at ease when she escaped her problems and running from the group felt like the best way to escape her problems. It felt like the buildings around her were closing in on her and there was no escape. Claustrophobia at its finest.

Elena rushed to Nyrs side as well, disgusted by the actions and how the lynx treated her after being cured. The raven looked a mess. It was awful. Being attacked for trying to show kindness and concern.

"Nyr.." She sighed, raising her brows. Looking to Ward.

"Can I help you at all with her?"

She looked up, wiping away the blood dripping from her mouth, smiling.

" I... will be fine... " she said with wishful thinking. In truth she only hoped that she would be healed but she trusted the others. " I heard Luness' heartbeat under her heavy pelt... it was a beautiful music full of passion and love. " she whispered silently without power.

She admired the tenacity the werecat. She was strong and willing to survive on her own even denying help when she needed the most... a familiar stubbornness which she felt a long time ago.

She tried to stand up but her legs disobeyed her so she fell to the snow.

" Well, it seems I DO need some help after all. " she chuckled.

"And where do you think you're going?" Ward tilted his large avian head in Luness' direction. His expression was soft however and understanding. he lifted Nyr carefully onto his back with one wing, shifting over to spread the other and drape it over Luness' shoulder, as a mother gryphon would comfort and protect her cub.

"You are still a friend." he stated firmly. Then looked at the friends he had collected.

"When I lost my reason, consumed by the tricks of the dark magic in the Forest of reflection not one soul here gave up on me." he looked into the werecat's eyes, compassion and hope lighting them from behind.

"I have done my share of terrible things, Luness, and everyone here still stands by me. They will stand by you too...if you let them."

He waited for her reply as the healer started for her house.

"I think you need that limb looked at again." The gryphon added with a kind smile.

Leo sighed. The day had barely started and he was already having to get bloodied. He heard the old healer mention him, "Thank you wise healer, but I have healed my injuries myself." Trying to be as polite as he could he bowed to the wise woman. He watched as Luness continued to keep her barriers up and push away from the others. He scoweled and walked up to her briskly brushing past everyone. Without a word he reader down and scooped her up and turned his head toward hers. "You have had the worst possible morning anyone could have in this icy wasteland, and you continue to push away from people who are trying to help. You can hate me if you want, but hate me after we heal your wounds. I am taking to get you healed because you can not do it on your own. I am not asking so sit still until this woman can help you" with that he turned to the woman and huffed. "where to my lady."

"Hey, I almost forgot, I brought your stuff" He says while running towards Luness. Suddenly, he saw Nyr. "Oh my, what happened" He says, obviously shocked by how much damage was dealt. He decided to go help Nyr.

Elena swept and grabbed hold of Nyr as she fell back towards the snow, supporting the smaller looking girl by most of her weight. She tsk'ed and shook her head, allowing Ward to grab Nyr from her.

"You are the kindest person I've ever met Nyr, but please value your life." She followed along.

((Sorry Bea, I'll include Elena next post! And Yuus smother her in the magic of friendship!!! Smother!!! Leo can just follow the healer to her house :3 if that's ok))

Luness shrugged her way out of Ward's attempted comfort with his wing. She felt torn in two at Ward's words, but she could take care of herself, really. Casting her gaze to the ground in the moment, Luness didn't even hear Leo until he'd scooped her up. Yelping in surprise, Luness went rigid, her fur standing up on end, and her eyes widening. Lunes felt her barriers shaking under the overwhelming amount of kindness from these people that she hardly knew. Biting her lip and resolving to be silent for now, Luness hugged her injured arm to her chest and folded her ears against her head, her attention shifting to her injury as she sniffed it and hoped she hadn't broken the bone again or something.

((I'm going to time jump if that's ok.))

The healer finished putting the last touches on her work. Luness' bone had been reinforced, though the old healer told her to keep off it she didn't put it back in a splint. She worked with Nyr slowly and gently, repairing blood vessels and sealing flesh with the greatest of care and the finest of enchantments. In a little while there were only scars left and those too began to fade. She told Nyr to take it easy. "Magic isn't a miracle." She stated firmly. "Merely an aid, and you have to help it along."

She watched with Interest as Leo healed his own wounds. Fascinated by the magic of the forest guardian.

It wasn't long before all were right and it was getting to be time for them to leave.

Leia had watched the whole scene unfolding, standing back to admire the amazingness of the new friends she had. When Nyr was not in any immediate danger of bleeding out she went over and hugged her.

"You're just...you're so kind...I wish you had more of a care for yourself." She stood back and smiled. "Well we'll care plenty for you, so don't worry."

Ward oversaw the healer's work, returning to human form and dabbing the blood from his clothes with a damp sponge.

"That was quite a morning."

Leia moved to leave the healer's house when her brow furrowed. "Has anyone seen Anya?"

@zCrookedz @Lioness075 @DawnAntalios

((ack! again! I'm sorry! @Bea Delaine ))

Leo watched the old woman work and paid close attention to her methods. Anything he could learn from a wise old healer such as her was with knowing. Once she had finished, he cleared his throat and looked over at Luness "I, uh, would like to apologize for the forwardness back there. I do not usually approach some one like that, but I felt it was needed to get you back on your feet. Also I would like to apologize for grabbing your foot, but I surly deserved is and was rewarded for those actions." He said calmy as he glanced back at the blood covered wrist.

(srry, jumped the gun on the post. Edited to fit with time jump.)

Now in siting positing Nyr bowed before the healer - which proved to be a bit painful still - thanking for the healing. She felt much better now.

" I thank you for your benevolence. I feel whole again. " then she caught off guard by the hug of Leia and she blushed a bit, patting her shoulder.

" My life was worthless before I met you - all of you. " she said looking at everyone who gathered in the small place - including Luness. " You make my life worth living, me to have a goal. For you I would sacrifice my well being if that would ensure your safety. "

Alexander had not followed to the healer's room, he decided to wait in the main hall and eat. He was unsure where Quincy went, and what exactly had occurred outside. He figured that it must have been the effects of this challis everyone was worried about but he wasn't certain about what the effects actually were. All he had noticed was an increased appetite and a need for warmth and fire. Of course, he figured that was due to the cold.

Ashley smiled when Nyr showed happiness and appreciation towards the group, including herself. The young Mother then sat down next to the Raven and have her a big warm hug. "And thank you for blessing my child." Ashley showed appreciation as well, happy that she had so many great people around her.

Luness frowned the whole time the healer did her work, but never complained. Flickering her ears towards the sound of Leo's voice, Luness looked away from the healer's handiwork to listen to what the guardian had to say. Hearing him out, Luness dipped her head slightly in acknowledgement and then said softly in her raspy tone, "Apology accepted." Not thinking of anything else to say, Luness looked away from Leo, her attention reverting to her injured arm. Her curiosity in the reinforced bone and such was interrupted though by Nyr's announcement. Siting upright at the sudden loud speaking, Luness looked to the side to see Nyr was the one speaking. Perking her ears towards the dread raven, Luness listened to everything she said.

Furrowing her brows at what was said, Luness folded her ears against her head and then carefully climbed off of the bed that she'd been sitting on while the healer had done her job. Nyr had no reason to sacrifice herself for Luness, especially after Luness so brutally attacked her. After all they hardly knew one another, in fact, Luness hardly knew anyone here. Sniffing at her forearm, Luness' ears perked up again, her curiosity distracting her for the moment. Yet, in the back of her mind, Luness couldn't get the lullaby out of her head that the healer had been singing to her before Nyr had hugged her nearly to death. It was such a calming tone and Luness felt like she'd heard it a long time ago, but couldn't be quite certain. She hadn't heard any lullabies for years.

(Soccer game, so just assume Quincy is around lol)

The kelpie lingered outside the hall for a while, lost in thought. After making her decision, she appeared at Alexander's side with a plate of food. She dropped a leather band into his lap, the one that usually sat snugly around her neck. “For your promise." She said, almost in a whisper, before sitting down. “It binds my instincts to you. Dont lose it." Her voice held a note of sorrow, but her face was blank, leaving no room for arguments.

"I... Are you sure, Quincy?" Alexander asked her, looking first at it, then at her. He saw her resolve and knew he wouldn't change her mind. "I will take care of it." He assured her. He felt like he should give her something in return, but was unsure of what he had. His scarf? It seemed a little silly, but usually when he saw people give something, they received something in return. He pulled his long, red scarf from around his neck and offered it to her, "Uh, I wouldn't want your neck to get cold, it is used to the warmth of the leather." He was awkward, and he felt silly, but if nothing else that was a valid point, right? He didn't answer the question posed to himself, but waited for her reaction.

Ward frowned at Leia's mention of Anya. "I haven't seen her no." He got up, adjusting the cuffs of his coat. "Never fear though, we will find her."

They left the healers tend together, splitting up and agreeing to each search half of the town.

Ward went to find Elena and ask her about Anya's whereabouts.

"It doesn't appear anyone saw her rise this morning." He said, starting to get concerned.

"Help me look?"

During the search he ran into Quincy.

"Have you seen Anya? I can't find her anywhere."

Leo felt sad even after Luness had apologized. He didnt want to push the girl, but didnt want her to continue to feel like she does. Leo sighed and gave one last look to her "Luness, if anything else comes up ill be happy to help. " He rose from the ladys house and thanked her once more for her assistance. He left and headed back towards the castle. He had been thinking about it for a while now and was begging to worry about where Banba had scampered off to. He made his way back to the castle and began looking around, "Banba, where are you? you missed a really exciting morning." He used the word excitement in an exaggerated sense.

@Jecklyn

The group realized that Anya was missing, and Elena began searching the buildings and town until Ward came to her with the same concern. She began to get worried. This was already proven to be a dangerous place. Anya was a human, and it was freezing.

To Ward she replied, "I haven't seen her.. I think she might have left the village." She wrapped herself more in her coat and prepared to leave.

"Something might be seriously wrong."
