Fantasy ~ FableWood ~

Nyr have observed the princess from a safe distance. Even though she had traveled with a group of respected members of Branbern she was unsure about how would they react if they had discovered her identity. Her kind - even though she was nothing like them - was known about their hunger for power and carnage and were the least welcome species among all the mythical creatures.

Somehow she doubted that the princess would think about this differently so she kept her distance, watching everything from afar.

" Let they do the talking. " she thought in herself " They will inform me if I need to know something imperative. "

Lexi spent the rest of her hours under a nice little tree. What kind? She was unsure. Under that tree, she looked at her flute and her iPod in both of her hands, trying to decide what is better to do. She decide to play her flute. Fablewood... Should she stay here?

What about home? Mum? Dad? Darren? Is she going to return? Has time stopped while she's here? Is she still there except her life is gone? Is her life is in some sort of the underworld now? Or is this just her consciousness? No way. This is too real. Too real to be a daydream.

'So, let's think this through' giving a slight smile at the thought. 'So I'm a human here. A creature that can... defeat the darkness? But I'm just a 17-year-old!' Lexi protested then bit her lip. 'I could try but how? It's not like I have any powers or anything. I should asks Nyr was it? Okay! Goal set. Now, what in the blimey hell is that racket?!' she thought after hearing, as spoken, a racket nearby.

Lexi stopped playing the flute, holding it rather protectively by her side and stood up. She could say it was hot. 'Warm' she corrected herself and removed her coat/hoodie, tying its sleeves around her waist. Lexi heard something. She walked towards the seemingly loud collection of a crowd. She felt short within them but she's still the confident girl she can be.

'Unicorn'

The second unicorn she saw that very day of her life was there, with a nice woman. Lexi had a feeling that this woman is a really... firm with justice? Or maybe that's just an opinion of her imagination? One thing's for sure though, she's not the intimidating kind, mind you but an unspecific kind of person. Lexi couldn't decide, probably because she wasn't close enough to do just that so she trudged her way through the crowd in an attempt to get closer to this feminine figure.

Someone introduced the lady as she went through the crowd. 'A princess? So this is my dreamland' she thought. Some, let her pass, others... let's just say she has to use some of her boisterous Scottish self but that didn't attract too much attention fortunately. She finally made it to the front of the crowd and can finally appreciate the beauty of the woman.

She has... a delicate face. Yes, delicate, a face so delicate that it might break from the slightest touch. Well, that's how delicate it was in Lexi's point of view. She gave the princess a big grin before inclining her head, respecting the royal figure, still wondering for a slight moment: 'I can meet Merida here?'

(I AM SO SORRY! I've been really busy recently, a hell of a lot of appointments. Sorry for not posting...)

Mira looked at the group gathered around the princess, her glasses being pushed up at each glance. Her body made it's way to the new human, Lexi, a smile on her delicate features. "I'm Mira, a pleasure to meet you and you have rather interesting hair." She pointed towards the white locks of the Scottish girl, her slender fingers running through her own red mess of hair.

Lexi twirled to the voice of the girl named Mira and grinned. "Rachel Lexi Sapphira Gauthier McBellapherson. Go ahead and add anything to my nickname list" she said proudly while bowing mockingly. "And my hair is not interesting as my eyes. Your hair is much more... pretty I would say" Lexi said, happily complementing the girl before her as she gestured towards her eyes before messing up her choppy white hair.

She would giggle at the slightly smaller girl and put a hand to her mouth. "That is a long name. So, I heard you playing that flute before, you're really good at it." She adjusts her glasses again and fishes around her satchel, eventually finding her notebook and flicking through the filled pages. It lands on one of her songs and she shows it to Lexi, a very soft smile on her face. "I love music too."

"Yes, apparently Scottish traditions says women must have long names. Supposedly one fer each section of their' lives" Lexi happily explained. "Why, I'm not known fer my flute skills but you can say that!" Lexi exclaimed, saluting with her flute. "And you love music! That's just great!" she said, her Scottish accent a little more thicker than before so she cleared her throat while looking at the neat book, a smile escaping her face. "Ah, that's neat that is. But we shouldn t' chat it here Missus, I'm afraid' ta offend the princess ere'" Lexi explained, "But this is absolutely marvelous!" she grinned and looked around, happy to see their eyes is still on the pretty lady.

"I wish I could sing for you, maybe I can..." She bites her lip in thought, one green eye closed and looking up at the sky. "Do you know the song, Jolly Sailor Bold?" She looked down at the Scottish girl and smiled. "I love Scottish accents by the way." She awaits an answer from Lexi. "I highly doubt the princess would mind, they don't seem to be doing anything overly important at the moment anyway."

"Ah, thanks!" Lexi said, enjoying the compliment that Mira was giving her. "And Jolly Sailor Bold? Ya mean the littl' ol' shanty? Aye, I'll recognize that little piece anywhere. Been a long time since I heard it though'. she said when the lyrics came pouring through her head out of pure concentration and she grinned, happy that she was able to remember.

"Well, would you like to?" She stood with her hands clasped behind her back and her head tilted in a way that made her long hair fall beside it, framing her porcelain features. Her lips were turned up in a slight smirk at her actions, her green orbs twinkling with the smirk.

Lexi only looked at that face. This girl was pretty, yes. Eyes and hair, green and red, mix rather beautifully than just bleeding unattractively, a combination of colors that Lexi had never seen someone pull off. She assumed that Mira meant performing with her so she nodded, "But like I said Missus, not in front of everybody ere'" she said and without waiting for a reply, she dragged the other girl playfully away from the crowd. "Now, ya want me ter sing with ya or ya want me ta play this ol' oodwind'? And don't tell me ta decide, this is yer choice, I insist" Lexi said, looking over the women with her marble eyes that was rolling around rather adorably.

"You play the flute, I can sing...I hope you do not mind." She smiled again at the adorable eyes of the girl she'd be performing with. She made a motion with her hand for her to play, waiting for the music to start, after clearing her throat.

Lexi pulled out her flute rather gracefully and started off, feeling happy to play her flute with actual reason. Her mind sang along with the melody.

Her voice started off, clear and strong, which completely apposed her usual voice.

"Upon one summer's morning

I carefully did stray

Down by the Walls of Wapping

Where I met a sailor gay

Conversing with a young lass

Who seem'd to be in pain

Saying, William, when you go

I fear you'll ne'er return again

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

His hair it hangs in ringlets

His eyes as black as coal

My happiness attend him

Wherever he may go

From Tower Hill to Blackwall

I'll wander, weep and moan

All for my jolly sailor

Until he sails home

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

My father is a merchant

The truth I now will tell

And in great London City

In opulence doth dwell

His fortune doth exceed

300,000 gold

And he frowns upon his daughter

Who loves a sailor bold

A fig for his riches

His merchandise and gold

True love has grafted my heart

Give me my sailor bold

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

Should he return in pov'rty

From o'er the ocean far

To my tender bosom

I'll press my jolly tar

My sailor is as smiling

As the pleasant month of May

And often we have wandered

Through Ratcliffe Highway

Many a pretty blooming

Young girl we did behold

Reclining on the bosom

Of her jolly sailor bold

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

My name it is Maria

A merchant's daughter fair

And I have left my parents

And three thousand pounds a year

Come all you pretty fair maids

Whoever you may be

Who love a jolly sailor

That plows the raging sea

While up aloft in storm

From me his absence mourn

And firmly pray arrive the day

He's never more to roam

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold"

She opened the eyes she hadn't even been aware that were closed and gave a sheepish smile to Lexi.

Lexi happily ended her own way, stopped blowing and looked at the smiling Mira. To be honest, she was quite distracted by her own flute music but she definitely heard the red-head sing. It was loud, 'No, not loud but... perfect?' she corrected herself. "That was great!" Lexi said, grinning, "and I mean it'!"

Her cheeks went as red as her hair and she looked at her boot covered feet. "Thanks..." She kicked the boot into the ground and she smiled under the mess of her hair. "You really can play that really well."

Lexi grinned back. Now, the both of them are just complementing each other, assuming the both of them might be too kind for their own good. Lexi watched Mira turned the same shade as her hair. Her hair was nice, a nice flaming red hair. She wondered if Mira would let her nickname the girl Red, since it was rather suitable in Lexi's eyes. "Say, ya know how we're supposed ta save this world Mira? And can I call you Red?"

"S-Sure..." She looked up and smiled. "Yeah, apparently we may develop abilities along the way." Her green eyes inquisitive. "Maybe the abilities have something to do with your hobbies, personality or it's random...I wander what mine would be...oh, by the way, if you call me Red, I think I have the right to call you Blue, because of your eyes."

Nyr watched the two girls with glee and smiled. They were getting along well and their music... well it was something that could soothe even her raging soul. She was unsure if she should approach them, they were having fun alone, so for the moment she leaned closer from a nearby tree and observed them.

"Oh, you see my eyes as blue?" Lexi asked. "Most say my eyes ar' grey... Purple... Glassy... Or they just can 't decide. Never blue... This is interesting but you are welcome to call me that" she declared, puffing her chest with mocking pride. Lexi gave that a thought. Music as a power? That never occurred to her but adventures is what she likes best.

"I'm calling you Blue." Her hand delved into her bag and she dug up a green ribbon. "Can you help me braid my hair? I don't have any hair ties in my bag." She turned her back to Lexi and looked over her shoulder, hoping she'd say yes.

"Sure!" Lexi agreed, taking the ribbon and started to braid the red-head's flowing hair. While braiding it, Lexi's marble eyes spotted Nyr and she grinned, giving a wave with one hand as the other hold her progression. "Hey Nyr!" Lexi greeted, feeling happy to see the person who first offered help, sorta. She continued to look at the winged creature, expecting her to greet back.

She smiled at the sensation of someone braiding her hair, but when she heard Blue call out to Nyr, she looked around and her green eyes found the Dread Raven. "Hey. You okay over there, stalking people?" She was joking, she hoped Nyr would get it. Her pale hand came up and sent a small finger wave to her.

Surprised that they noticed her Nyr jumped down from the tree, using her wings to land near them.

" Greetings Lexi, greetings Mira. " she bowed her head before each of them. " I have heard the music you two were making... it was marvelous. You two are truly talented, I am happy for you. " She then looked at the strange activity they were doing and raised her eyebrow. " Tell me, what is it you are doing right now? "

Lexi liked the way Nyr raised a brow because she occasionally can too! She raised her own brow in response. Nyr did not know braiding?! Then again, there weren't many characters that have a braid. But... didn't Rapunzel have a nice braid? That's a tale too right? Maybe it doesn't exist here. "We're braiding? Or maybe in a simpler way, making your hair less messy and neater" she explained, continuing to look between her work and the nice lady with wings and red eyes. She stopped at the edge of Mira's hair and tied the ribbon tightly around the red locks or hair.

"Thanks." She turned and ran her fingers along the braid, admiring Blue's work. "It gets in the way a lot, so sometimes my brother or his boyfriend does my hair for me." She smiled and hugged Blue in thanks.

(I'm just gonna call you Blue now.)
