I'm thinking of going for a Martial Artist. Perhaps a Night Caste? Hmmm. I'll start putting my sheet together probably in the morning. Aw, who am I kidding? I'll get to work on it right now!

So, by the book, I cannot choose Martial Arts as my Supernal Ability unless I am a Dawn Caste? In that case, I have to take Brawl, and have it apply to Martial Arts?

No, Supernal Brawl doesn't double as Supernal Martial Arts. No one except Dawns can Supernal either. Dawns are expressly allowed to choose one of Brawl OR Martial Arts as a Supernal.


It should be noted that we currently have a Supernal Martial Arts Dawn. With the entirety of Single Point Shining Into the Void Style. Which is terrifying.

I was going to go with a master of Dreaming Pearl Courtesan Style as a Night Caste assassin, but with that rule in place, I can't complete the style like I was hoping for. Time for a rethink.

To be fair, I think you would still qualify as a master of Dreaming Pearl Courtesan Style, or at least an extremely advanced student. Even learning a single Charm puts you ahead of almost all practitioners in Creation. There are probably only a dozen or so beings in all Creation that know the full Style. A handful of elder Sidereals, some very old Lunars, maybe a powerful God or two.

Unless I go with Dawn caste, I can't even get the Form Charm (Essence 2). Perhaps I'll do a knife fighter assassin.

True, you could have 5 dots in DPC Style and be one of the best practitioners in creation. You can get the charms later.


Heck, I'm not getting Supernatural martial arts cause they didn't make Arms of the Unconquered Sun Style or Eye of Heaven Style for 3Exalted yet.

We have a Dawn Supernal Martial Arts wandering swordswoman, an ALL THE SORCERY Supernal Lore Twilight (Actually only has First Circle Demon for spells, so you can definitely throw in some REST OF THE SORCERY), and Peace-loving Paragon Pop Princess, a Supernal Performance Zenith.

You could grab one of the artifact bows and unlock it's Evocations. That way we'd have a full collection of External Magic Gimmicks.
